Show Mayahuel + Tequila Tasting

This was amazing! Our tour guides were amazing, first of all. Mano and his brother in law 'Alex' was the best. Super attentive and informative. They kept the info rolling and kept our entire group entertained with how humid and hot it was I knew these guys were feeling it. We got lunch at a beach restaurant and the food was so fresh and amazing. The show was beautiful. They were so amazing, beautiful and just breathtaking. I honestly don't like tequila but our expert was so knowledgeable. The tequila was surprisingly good and didn't burn I learned a lot. I will say though this definitely was a tequila themed event. So worth it. I wish I could experience it all again

A bit overpriced for what it is to be honest. The show itself is decent, just don't expect cirque du Soleil level of production. The tequila tasting at the end is an added bonus where you get to taste 4 different tequilas.

This show and experience was amazing. We arrived early and prior to the show, we were able to do a tasting of Mezcal. There were several different options, and each one was really good. We sat down for the show. The show talks about the history and culture of Mayahuel. The show lasts about an hour. The performance was one of the best shows overall that I’ve seen. The only downside is that you can’t record the show. I think it could help with promoting the show. The tequila tasting was after the show. We had 4 different tequilas and were told the history of each as well as shown the proper way to sip tequila. I would highly recommend this show.

The experience was amazing! We came with our cruise and it was a great time. Very informative and you can really see their passion for the tequila. I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning all they can about Mexican tequila.

I really enjoyed every aspect of this experience. First our tour guide Manuel led us on a short walk through the downtown and shared some history of the city. We got our first free margarita at a jewelry store where they briefly mentioned the stones found in Puerto Vallarta. The lunch buffet of tacos and cheese quesadillas was delicious and right along the beach. We got a second small margarita for free there. The two best parts to me were the Mayahuel show because I like storytelling and history, and the tequila tasting. The show was around 45 minutes long and was like watching Cirque du Soleil acts but Aztec. Lastly, our tequila master was knowledgeable and fun. He also gave free samples of tequila before the show. I definitely recommend this experience!

Wonderful exciting show.. great acrobats and everyone was impressed.. we were in awe of how strong and agile the dancers were and the day glow paint on their bodies was impressive artistically

The price that you pay for the experience to watch live authentic music and dancing is more than worth it. The show was full of great performances and an interesting story. Go and enjoy and see something very different!

My husband and I throughly enjoyed the show. The performers were all very talented. The show was lively and fast paced with many visual effects throughout the performance. I would highly recommend this event if you’re looking for something different to do.

A very entertaining show with good audio and visual effects including the costumes. Started a bit late waiting on cruisers to arrive but well worth the wait. The tequila tasting was a bonus.

This was a great performance. The costumes were beautiful, the dancers were extremely talented and strong, and the tequila taste was a wonderful way to end the show. I couldn’t resist and bought an aged tequila bottle to take home.

Mayahuel is like Cirque du Soleil, with culture and mythology, at a fraction of the cost. The tequila tasting was an added bonus.

What an amazing show for a very reasonable price! This show is nonstop entertainment. The dancing and acrobatics were excellent. The music is loud so sit further back if that bothers you or sit up close and feel the beats! The tequila tasting segment was educational and not too long. They do offer tequila for purchase at the store as you exit but it wasn’t a high pressure sales situation. We booked this while on an independent vacation. Viator listed start time as 1:30 but the show actually started at 2:00 because they waited for a cruise ship excursion group to arrive. While I’ve seen a couple reviews complaining about a late start, we actually appreciate that our early arrival enabled us to be seated before the large cruise ship group arrived.

Very good experience. Directions were accurate (unlike some of our other tours). A real thrill. Theater was clean and welcoming.

Nice show and a great way to get out of the heat for a bit. The performance is really good and the tequila after is good. Little pricey on the tequila but a nice place. There us really no reason to go to the night show unless it fits your schedule better. Glad we booked on our own. Took a cab around town to get to the show and it was half the cost of the cruise price.

I didn't think I would enjoy an afternoon performance, but the dancing, music, costumes and cirque-du-soleil style acrobatics were excellent.

Incredible experience! A beautiful colorful, dazzling presentation by superbly talented dancers and musicians. A heartfelt depiction of the bittersweet tragic romance between the deities Quetzalcoatl and Mayahuel. The rhythm and the movements will keep you eyes enchanted, while the beats will energize your heart and mind. You'll be engrossed right until the very end. The choreography is stellar, and the performance is breathtaking. Highly recommended for anyone who visits the town.

An amazing show of the creation of Mexico and the love story of the birth of Agave. Tequila story and tasting also available if you care to stay for part 2. The dancers are Las Vegas class circus solos. The performance was amazing and the fire dancer was unlike anything I have ever seen. Aust do in PV. Enjoyeduch better than the 'other one" with the boat ride Would definatly recommend this show

This show is well worth attending. We thoroughly enjoyed the dancers, acrobatics, costumes/make-up, etc. I recommend scanning the QR code in the lobby so you can read a synopsis of the story ahead of time—adds to the experience. This group is talented and gives it their all to put on a good show. The show is a great value (good use of your time and money). Although we bought the full package, the tequila tasting was just OK, and we didn’t even bother going to the beach club, and yet we still felt we got more than our money’s worth.

I enjoyed seeing a local theater show to break up our week in Puerto Vallarta. I am a theater tech nut and like to see what other cultures do. The performers were great and the video projections, and lighting were cool. We just did the show only. The theater is kind of old and one of the side video projectors was completely missing, but I enjoyed the effort that the locals put into doing their best. Typical fire spinner acts, aerial acrobats from a single rope, dancers, drums, trampolines, etc. Same acts as "Rhythm of the Nights" but 50% of their production values, but also was less expensive. Was interesting for me to see so many fire effects including 4 stage mounted fire cannons in a traditional indoor theater. I was thinking they would never allow this in the USA, but that was part of the fun for me.

We bought the show, the tequila tasting and the Beach Club. The show was nice, great dancers and performance, make-up ! In general was nice. However the tequila tasting and the beach Club we don’t recommend at all. It is a rip-off. Tequila tasting is done in the theater, the video presented are the very bad quality, the guy who explained the tequila is in a hurry, so the testing took 15 min! The Beach Club is so disappointing! You walk one block and they dropped you at this club which you cannot go on the beach because it is not included! No swimming pool, you sit on wooden chair and you can order food and drinks but they charge you of course! The place was not welcoming at all! I do not recommend to buy the whole package! Go to the show and that’s it !

Some cultural education with a large helping of pure entertainment. Dancers, acrobats and gymnasts extremely talented. Well worth the price of admission.

Incredible special effects really enjoyed the use of the walls and the curtains to display the pictures that were in motion. It was quite magical with the dancers who were also each so talented. All of their talents were to be marvelled! Captivating experience.

Prior to show - the tequila tasting was alright - once you could get to it - rude people standing there sampling everything they could get and not allowing others to get in. Not the fault of the venue in any way. The show itself was really good - the acrobatics and visuals were quite impressive. We did find the music a little too loud - it became somewhat distorted as a result. They ask that you DO NOT take pictures or videos during the show - yet people around us did for the entire duration of the performance. Once again, not the fault of the venue. Overall, the show was great, the audience, not so much.

The video they show at the beginning is a reenactment of the story. Amazing talent, agility and performance.

This show is amazing! The artists are so talented and it’s in a really nice theatre. A quick walk to Malecón and beach area. We were on a cruise but booked separately buying tickets through Trip Advisor. Great price and easy process. This show is right up there with Las Vegas caliber shows I’ve seen.

Phenomenal show!!! I went with my mom while staying downtown the road at Buenaventura Resort and we were thinking of doing Rythms of the Night and opted for this instead as we could walk and it’s a fraction of the price. Highly highly recommend. The theatre is comfortable and the show is up there with cirque du soleil.

It had all the elements - literally air, fire, water and earth. It had a good variety of action and dancing. But it would have been better if the commentary was throughout the performance to understand what was going on. Also, without the tequila tasting you are seated pretty far back from the stage. Fine for a cruise ship shore excursion but there are better options in Puerto Vallarta to see.

We didn't here from Viator on how to get there. We were on the Princess Cruise Ship so we got a Taxi but driver was not that helpful on directions.

Enjoyed the show very much. It is sort of a cross between Cirque du Soleil with an indigenous story. The performers are very good and the show is very well put together. Highly reommended.
