Sayulita & San Pancho: Private Day Trip From Puerto Vallarta

We had a great time with Obi. Shortly after we booked the tour he contacted us to see if there was anything in particular we would like to see, eat, shop for, or experience during our visit to Sayulita or San Pancho. We gave him a shopping list of things we would like to see/do. On the day of the tour his partner, Pepe, picked us up from our hotel and we set out on the trip. It was everything hoped for and more. We spent time in San Pancho on the beach watching the surfers, walking around the streets and stopping at a bar for a drink. Then on to Sayulita for tequila tasting and then lunch at an excellent restaurant on the beach. This was followed by a walking tour around the town and a stop at a local market. We then drove on to Bucerias to sightsee and visit a flea market. We were able to cross off all the items on the list of experiences we provided Obi. Finally Pepe dropped us off at our hotel after spending the whole day with us. I cannot recommend enough how good these folks were.

Our day with Obi Tours was one of the absolute highlights of our week in Puerto Vallarta! We booked the private Sayulita and San Pancho tour for our group of six, and from the moment Obi and Elizabeth picked us up in their clean, comfortable, air-conditioned van, we knew we were in good hands. Throughout the day, they shared so much knowledge about Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and the places we visited. Their passion for what they do really shines through, and they made every stop interesting and enjoyable. One of our favorite surprises was a stop at a roadside fruit stand where they had arranged a tasting of several local fruits. It was such a fun experience that we never would have found on our own. The tequila tasting was another unforgettable part of the day. It was entertaining, informative, and honestly featured the best tequila we’ve ever had! We learned so much and had a great time. In Sayulita, they took us to a wonderful beachfront restaurant before giving us free time to explore the town at our own pace. We also loved visiting beautiful San Pancho. One of the most thoughtful touches was that Elizabeth took photos throughout the entire tour—both candid and posed—and shared them with us afterward at no extra charge. It allowed us to simply enjoy the day while knowing the memories were being captured. What really sets Obi Tours apart is that this didn’t feel like a typical tour. It felt like spending the day with two wonderful people who genuinely love sharing their home and culture with their guests. If we’re fortunate enough to visit Puerto Vallarta again, we’ll absolutely be booking another tour with Obi and Elizabeth. They offer several different experiences, and we can’t wait to see more of the area with them. Thank you both for making our vacation so memorable. This was a fun tour experience! The tour guides knew their Puerto Vallarta history and shared relevant stories from the the past to current times. There are a lot great and fun things coming to PV and Obi Tours will be a great addition to any vacation plans! They had great energy and attitude. They were able to answer our questions and provide a safe and comfortable travel experience. They even gave us a small cake as a gesture to a birthday we were celebrating! We had a great experience with Liz! She picked us up and dropped us off from our condo near PV. We then enjoyed the road side stop to grab local candies, fruits and drinks. Then we headed to San Pancho to walk around and enjoy the town. Finally, she showed us her fav spots in Sayulita. I’d recommend the tour for anyone! Liz was super great with our kids and helpful.

We had the best time with our tour guide, Liz! She picked us up and dropped us off right at our condo outside PV. We stopped along the way to try local fruits, candies and drinks and loved the stops in San Pancho and Sayulita. She showed us the best taco stops and shared history of the area. Obi, his wife Liz, and driver were an amazing team. All working together as a perfectly choreographed unit ensuring my group had the best time and had nothing to worry about. Months leading up to my vacation, Obi stayed in touch and answered many questions to guide me towards the right tour. On the day of the tour, I had a last minute request and he was more than accommodating to adjust the itinerary in order to make it back for another reservation. It was my 40th birthday and there were special surprises at every step. My group was very impressed with the Mercedes Benz Sprinter, but even more impressed with Obi and Liz’s passion of sharing their beloved Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita with us. The tequila tasting and roadside snacks were such a treat! The beach restaurant was perfectly situated in Sayulita and we had a blast roaming and exploring the town. Obi and Liz have truly found their calling and we appreciated learned so much history and culture while having a blast! Would definitely recommend them to anyone interested and I will be reaching out for future tours!

Most appreciated is his flexibility and willingness to accommodate any request, modify any trip, tailor your tour to you. San Pancho a delight; Sayulita has grown too much for my liking but still well worth the trip. This tour with Obi is the perfect day trip!

Very easy going and informative trip to two beautiful towns. Tomas was easy to have conversation with and explained history of the surroundings. We also had opportunities to visit some neat shops that were less "touristy". Very nice time today.
