The side by side tour was amazing. Our guide Patti - did the ride at our pace and was very safety conscious. The tequila tasting with Boogy was wonderful. We bought 3 bottles of tequila - YUMMY!! Last but not least the food at the restaurant was so good. The restaurant stop was so peaceful. I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing small group tour with Octavio our amazing guide. 2.5 hours of driving with a great mix between street and more trail riding, river crossings and photo ops along the way. The stop at the tequila distillery (tequila buggy) is a great addition making the trip a complete local experience.

Decently organized. They get you out of the city streets safely and up to the mountains. The tequila tasting was good and in a nice spot. Luckily the waterfall was running and we got to take a dip in it at the 2nd stop, where we had some great shrimp tacos. The RZR was in decent shape. Donβt expect to get too much of an offroad thrilling experience. About half of the trip is either paved or cobblestone and the dirt roads are pretty well maintained.

Unfortunately, I have to write this review after unsuccessfully getting a refund for the tequila scam. More than that, we are from Colorado but now live full-time in Puerto Vallarta. We took our son and my mom on this tour thinking it would be more "adventurous" than the last excursion we took with another outfit based on the website and pictures. We thought it was also cool to stop by a their tequila tasting. Long story short, it was pretty mild and the local/homegrown tequila was literally water - see pictures. They poured it on thick with the samples, supporting the locals, etc. and we usually are all for it but when the bottles literally froze we knew we were scammed. I asked for our money back only for the tequila (not the tour) with no success and had to decline the charge on my credit card. Living here we know how hard locals work but it is also important to also right a wrong which they did not do after giving them the opportunity. Also, if you comfortable with ATVs then I would pass on this guided tour. It's also to note that the river they're talking about is at the restaurant and not a separate stop.

This 3 hour tour is one of the best and leaves right from central downtown. Our guide, Angel, was attentive and very informative and took us to the best tequila distiller we have visited in 5+ years. We then went to Rancho Las Pilas for the best Ceviche in PV and the cool, clear waters of a beautiful waterfall. This ride is worth the $$$

Did this tour with my wife and we both were impressed by the competence of the staff. Travelling through the streets of PV on our way to the mountain roads staff was very good at being aware of urban traffic and our vehicles. To be fair the tour is all on roads not trails but it is interesting and enjoyable.

We had a great tour today with Goncalves we had Rzr and others had the quad bikes. It had rained so it was great going through dirty muddy puddles. 3 hour tour with tequila tasting and sales plus a stop for swimming which no one did due to the weather, but if it was hot we would have
If youβre a tourist, and youβre looking for ATVs and vehicles, double check maintenance and ask for proof. Fire was caught on ATV, and lots of issues pertained from there. Owner was very disrespectful overall and held many accusations after the incident. This place was disappointing in terms of handling issues and put family at huge risk.

From the beginning, the people at COOL Tours were fantastic. Ms . Anna was very patient and accommodating our large group. Mr. Rodrigo and Gonzalez, were very skilled guiding us through the village and up into the beautiful landscape overlooking PuertoVallarta. Our whole group felt secure and well looked after... My family and I had a great day out with Roy and crew. The best thing we did on our entire trip. The whole family had a blast. My wife said it was 10/10 and all the kids - 9,7, and 3 likewise loved it. Check in was easy. Roy and the rest of the crew were amazing. Very friendly, helpful. We rented two RZR cars one for myself and my 3 year old (they gave us a car seat), and another for my wife and the other kids. The drive up to the mountains was beautiful- over cobblestones and first roads. We felt very safe with the guides escorting us like a presidential motorcade the whole way. The waterfall atop was awesome and Roy was great teaching my kids what to do. We also had a blast at the Amaria Villas stop - a great time in the pool with the entire family and AMAZING food (seriously- the shrimp aguachile was game changing). We capped the entire thing off with tequila tasting back at the offices. What a blast. Weβd go again tomorrow if we had the chance.

I ordered 3 RZR's on September 13,2025 at 1:30PM so all 3 couples could have a driving experiene .The problem we had was about 5 minutes into the ride one of our groups RZR's broke down. So our friends had to jump into another friends RZR and ride in the back seat. As we were waiting for the group to start moving again after the breakdown I personally asked Patty Voss the owners wife to make sure we would get a full refund for the RZR that broke down and she said yes I would. Later I found out that the owner Miles Voss said he would only give us a 50% refund on the faulty RZR. Cool tours gave us a refund of 4600 pesos. I feel this situation was unfortunate and should have been handled in a more business like, professional manner. I would like to receive a refund of the balance of 4600 pesos. I would not recommend using this company due to the owners decision to not stand behind his services. If a rental vehicle breaks down its on the owner to make it right but he did not, he felt getting paid was more important then backing his product. Very sad because his staff did a great job. Please credit me ASAP so I can put this experience behind me. Thank You
We booked this last minute after another activity was postponed, and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of our trip. Our guide (wish I remembered his name!) was a really cool guy who made the ride smooth, safe, and fun. The trail took us through a small part of the Sierra Madre mountains, eventually leading to a fresh water spring with soaking pools and a little bar. Absolutely beautiful spot β the kind of place where you just stop and take in the sounds of nature. On the return, we stopped at a tiny restaurant where everything was cooked over open fire. The chiles (his & hers) were fire, both packed with heat but bursting with flavor. And the shrimp tacos? Out of this world, honestly some of the best Iβve ever had. I wanted to lick the plate clean. They capped it off with a generous pour of tequila before we headed back to home base. We finished the day with a tequila tasting and a chance to buy bottles to take home. The whole experience was relaxed, authentic, and way more memorable than we expected. If youβre looking for a mix of adrenaline, local flavor, and natural beauty, this tour delivers

Good experience, would deff recommend, they take you to a waterfall for around 30 mins whete you get to see fishies, and then to the restaurant, as well as tequila tasting at the end, overall was a good and fun experience

The employees are great. Angel ran the tour and was great. He is a polite and considerate young man. The first stop was a required stop, minimum $50 pesos. Watch out for the waiter male who upgrades the drink choice and rakes you out of your money. This restaurant is not associated with the cool tours. But the second stop to eat lunch was fantastic. Best food we have had in two trips to PV. Moro Paraiso Restaurant Bar, such a friendly staff and hospitalble and the food was so good. Thanks Angel and Cool rentals for a fun tour.
