Puerto Vallarta: Tequila Tasting + Immersive Experience.

David, the Tequila Sommelier, or Catador, is the only certified expert of his kind in Puerto Vallarta and he was a wealth of information. We were greeted with a delicious cocktail made by the mixologist, Martin. Before the full tasting, the tour takes you through an interactive and realistic display, including 3D art, that educates you on the mythological origin story of Agave, its present day history, and finally the processes used to make it through the years, across the world. We felt as though they shared a very special piece of Mexico’s culture with us and we will always remember this tour! We had many questions and David always had answers and was very accommodating. The tasting was prefaced with an experience meant to open your mind smelling many flavor notes brought out from the distillation process. The tasting room was very nice and Martin had prepared us each plates of snacks meant to compliment and enhance the tasting process. We’ve done wine tasting but this was much much more interesting and for someone who wasn’t a huge fan of tequila, I have been converted! Gratuity was not expected but appreciated. They also had a store of Tequilas available for purchase, the kinds we tasted as well as many others that they also gave us tasters of. It was a great experience, education, and awakening of your taste buds, we highly recommend!

Very informative and unique experience all centered on tequila. David and Marten were excellent hosts and tour guides. Once we left the main floor and walked upstairs, we were surprised at how much the experience changed. Lots of tastings, lots of stories and super fun experience to do with friends.

Our hosts, David and Martin, were amazing. When you come to PV, you must stop here. We have been in PV for 5 days and have seen so many amazing things, but this Tequila experience made our vacation.

Fun experience to taste a variety of tequilas and learn about the farming, harvesting and production process. Tours run in english-only and spanish-only time slots. You need the english tour with David unless you are fluent in spanish. David is great, so friendly and knowledgeable.

This experience was nice and I would’ve given it a higher rating if I hadn’t heard the same exact story the day before at another tasting. Pros: welcome drink, generous pours, small bites to pair. Overall if this is your only tasting experience I would recommend it. Remember there’s going to be education with every tasting.

This tequila tasting experience was amazing! Our guides were attentive, knowledgeable and patiently explained the history behind tequila. We learned the best way to enjoy tequilla and what to look out for when making a purchase. My family and I had a great time and the central location was perfect. Definitely take this tour.

This was a wonderful experience that opened our eyes to the complexity and beauty of tequila. From the delicious opening drink, to learning the intricacies of making tequila, to learning how to properly drink and savour each sip, David guided us through a wonderful experience. 10/10 would recommend!

It was a visual and auditory immersive experience and very educational. We learned a lot about the mythology, history and process behind the production of tequila. The tequila tastings at the conclusion was the perfect ending.

Excellent experience and hospitality and Dave and Martin were so nice and informative. The history of the Agave plant to the tequila tasting was fascinating and great. Highly recommend this tour as it was a great value and we certainly enjoyed it.

This was an amazing experience!! We learned so much in a fun and creative way, had fabulous tequila, and overall thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. David (the host) has put his heart and soul into this and it shows. We will go back on future trips and it is now on our “must do” list for friends and family who are traveling to PV.

David and his team do an excellent job as they take you thru the history of tequila! They encourage conversation, questions and curiosity from their travelers. The 3D effect is awesome and not cheesy, if anything it ADDS to the fun of the tour. At the end you got a chance to purchase 100% Blue Agave Tequila that you could never find anywhere else. My husband and I had an amazing time and suggest it to anyone traveling to PVR.

One of the best cruise excursions we’ve ever been on. We learned a lot about tequila and got the opportunity to taste lots of different kinds! Got a decent lunch. But we were really surprised about how great the show was. It was not at all what we expected! Totally worth it!

More than just tastings, this tour immerses you in tequila culture. The reposado and cristalino añejo were great, but the coconut tequila was a unique delight. So much fun—I’d do it again!

We were on a mother’s/daughter trip! Half of us were first timers and the other half are regular cruisers! We REALLY loved the energy of our tour guide! He was so awesome and the staff that worked with him was great! The food was okay. The 52 shots starting on the bus was crazy in a good way! Learning about the agave and how it’s all made was really cool! The acrobatic show that went with this was phenomenal! A little long, but definitely a time to remember and hold on to! The laughs and livelihood of this particular tour was everything we needed to kick off Mexico properly!!!

I loved the tour of the museum and the tequila they gave us, completely exceeded my expectations; I loved what they did with the neon lights. I recommend it 100% if you are in Puerto Vallarta.

The experience was magnificent, the handling of the times and the varied is very good and pleasant, more than just tastings the tour takes you into the culture of tequila, (the rested my favorite). The friendliness and treatment of the excellent staff, would come back but this time with my whole family.

I loved the kindness and willingness of the Theatre staff and guides, who were always attentive and resolved all my doubts. I didn’t know the museum was 3D, it was an amazing surprise! Also, I really enjoyed the tequila tasting. No doubt, when I get back to Vallarta, I'll take my whole family.
