The tour offers a great introduction to this beautiful city and is especially informative and useful for a first-time visitor to Puerto Vallarta and Mexico in general. The route and stops were just what i needed for my maiden visit and to get a good feel for this gorgeous and lively city! Our guide, Gloria, and driver, Jose, were excellent hosts! Friendly, helpful, conscientious and they took very good care of us. Thank you!

Wonderful scenic and informative tour of the Puerto Vallarta Old Town and northern coastal areas. Guide Melissa and driver Bernardo were extremely professional and courteous throughout the tour, as well as the individual shop owners and staff.
We very much enjoyed our VIP Tour of the Puerto Vallarta area! Our tour guide Gloria was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about the history and information of the area! Her ability to cover the spanish and english language was admirable. We have taken this tour before and have always enjoyed it.
"Highly recommend this city tour! Gloria was an amazing, knowledgeable guide. For the price, you get secure transport, drinks, and get to see hidden gems you wouldn't find on your own. There are shopping stops, but zero pressure to buy. The candy store was surprisingly great, and the tequila tasting was generous and high-quality. Worth every penny!"
Gloria was lovely and so knowledgeable about Puerto Vallarta and Mexico history. It was more than just a tour…it was an amazing experience!
Gloria was wonderful and knowledgable. Everything was well timed out. Make sure to have a good breakfast in that lunch wasn’t until 2:00 pm
Very informative, recommend it for beginning of stay as you get to know the surrounding areas for a more extensive explore of point of interest.
Gloria was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well ! She took us to amazing places and did not rush us . We will be booking with them again , on future trips !
You get to a large amount of PV, it is beautiful, and our guide and driver where great. Lots of information
Being first time travelers to Puerto Vallarta my wife and I wanted to get orientated to the area, and CityFuntastic's tour was just right for that. Our guide, Gloria, had amazing local knowledge, our driver was smooth and conscious of the speed bumps, and the folks we traveled with us were fun to roll with! We were grateful to visit the Church of our Lady of Guadalupe, enjoyed walking The Malecón and meeting local vendors, and had a blast tequila tasting and ending our day talking with toucans. We had a great time.... highly recommended!
Ms. Gloria and driver have excellent customer service and people skills and are very respectful, knowledgeable and professional at their job. They made our tour easy, comfortable and enjoyable. We will recommend your business to everyone!
The trip is nice and they take you to a lot of places. But the AC in the bus was not working and it was like 100 degrees. We had small children so it was hard to deal with that. Also the food at the restaurant, I would skip at all. It’s very bad and pricey.
The guide (Gloria) was very informative and respected the variety of nationalities represented. The driver got us safely to and from our various destinations. There were too many pre-planned shopping destinations that took the majority of the tour and we felt detracted from our perceived purpose for the tour —-
Great experience at animal recovery center with wonderful restaurant attached. The tequila distillery was well presented. A perfect trip also along the Malacon. Our faith in God and the Mexican people blended beautifully at St. Guadeloupe Catholic Church.
Awesome experience, Gloria was an amazing tour guide. Our whole family had a lot of fun! Not rushed and nice A/C equipped van.
This is our first visit to Puerto Vallarta after many visits to the Riviera Maya area. We found this excursion to be very informative and we saw so much of the area in a short time. We would highly recommend this excursion, especially for travellers new to this region. Both the tour guide and driver were personal and professional. We will definitely return to this area after seeing so many areas that we would love to explore.
Great for first timers! Our guide Daniel was informative, friendly, funny! Did an excellent job explaining and sharing information about Puerto Vallarta! They offer hotel pickup and our driver became ill but they sent us a new driver and included all information on who the driver was, license plate etc. The tequila distillery stop and animal sanctuary stop with lunch were perfect! Highly recommend this budget friendly tour!
It’s a perfect tour of walking and driving. The guide we had (Danny) was absolutely wonderful. We loved meeting the leather maker, tequila tasting, candy store, boardwalk walk etc. a lot to see.
There's lots to do on this tour but it is very comfortable. We saw lots and had good experiences. It is a long day, well worth it.
Excellent value for the money. Very accommodating with pick up right at our condo. Guide and driver were both excellent!
Absolutely lovely! My tour guide and driver were amazing. There were cancellations and it was a very small group. Very educational and fun..
Great way to get an idea of what Puerto Vallarta is about. Great tequila tasting and lunch was really good.
It's a full day but a great overview of what the PV area has to offer. Wear good shoes and drink lots of water!
For the price it was a wonderful tour. We got to see places that we wouldn't have seen on our own. The amount of time was just right.
This is a great excursion for first time travelers to the area. I would have rated it a 5 if we spent either less or more time on the malecon. There wasn’t enough time to shop independently but too much time wandering around with the group.
Most of the experience was extremely boring. What was the point to walk along the beach to show sand. Why point out every restaurant, a visit to a candy store? We are senior citizens, show us age related things.
The guide was very friendly and informative. The tour visits popular places you can easily see on your own, if you have time, and some businesses.
Had the best day. The stops were interesting and relevant. Our guide Daniel was amazing. Would recommend! Great value!
An excellent way to spend a day visiting interesting locations in Puerto Vallarta, topped off by a good lunch (customer pays) and tequila tasting.
They were very flexible and accommodating when we wanted to adjust our tour. Our guide, Paula, was knowledgeable and friendly.
Good intro to Mexico love the history and the jewelry store and tequilla stops were great Love the area..mismaloya
The guide (Daniel) is very friendly. Tell us lots fun history about the city. As the different stops are interesting . We really enjoyed every stops and the whole day experience
Excellent tour with knowledgeable and passionate guide. Well thought-through itinerary, very informative . And it was only $29 bucks!
What a fun tour! We had so much fun. We were a group of 14. We were picked up just outside the cruise port terminal. We were in a huge fan with one other couple. The A/C was not great for the people in the back, but it was doable. We visited so many places. Yes, we had to go to the obligatory mandated places, but they were fun. The silver shop, the candy making factory, the tequila making factory, the leather shop, the restaurant for lunch, the animal preserve. It was all fabulous. We got to see so much. My favorite place was the animal preserve. We got to hold a toucan and feed little spider monkeys. The spider monkeys were jumping on us back and forth, so cool! The food at the restaurant was ok, a little expensive (I thought). We are all from San Diego, so the food was mediocre, but we have great Mexican food in San Diego, so I am probably biased. The tequila factory was amazing; the employees made the tequila tasting a blast. The tequila was so good, many of us bought bottle to bring home. We also went to Cat Island, a little marketplace that was so cute and beautiful with Banyon trees throughout. Our driver Jaime and our tour guide Daniel; both were so friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that Daniel did not have a microphone and was pointing out places and telling us the history. The people in the van (all my friends, lol) were talking, so it was hard to hear Daniel. I wish I could have heard him and his stories a little better. That is mostly the fault of my friends talking too much! Be advised-there is a lot of walking. I did not know that there was so much walking. I assumed we would be driven to place to place. The tour company asked if anyone needed assistance, and we were all ok, but we were tired after all the uneven sidewalks, stairs, and hills. It is not that bad, but if you have elderly or anyone that cannot walk far, just let them know. I highly recommend this tour; it was so awesome. We made a lot of great memories.
Daniel was our guide for the tour. He was very knowledgeable and fun. The walking tour was very good. Daniel made sure everyone was together and he responded to all our questions. Plus gave lots of information about PV. The tequila tasting tour was the best i had experienced. The lunch was great. I would highly recommend.
Tour was overall good. But we were expecting a water which we thought it was included in the tour. It so hot and they did not offer any water and we had to buy our own water during the tour. So if you're wanting to try this tour, you better bring your own water!! Don't believe them that the water was included
We enjoyed this tour a lot . The tour guide was very friendly and share great informations . He give us enough time for each stop . Great job👍👍👍👍
It was a great experience to take this tour. I will recommend. The tour guide ( Daniel Vasquez) was very informative, pacience, kind , respectful etc etc .
This was an amazing tour that covered PVR standard areas but we also saw leather crafting, tequila making, opal jewelry, landmark arches, artisan sweet makers and had lunch at an animal rescue/zip line location. Our tour director Daniel, and driver Arturo, did an excellent job. Thank you so much! Pick up and drop off at our hotel was also very convenient.
There is some walking involved in the tour. It was a fun and educational tour. Daniel knows Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas very well. The tequila factory was very fun and interesting. There was a lot of tasting going on. Our driver, Sergio, was excellent.
Friendly informational tour. Fun group patient whith everyone don't have anything else worth saying@
My whole family really enjoyed this city tour with CityFun Tastic. Our guide Daniel was fantastic, both knowledgeable and enthustiastic, and our driver Jamie did an excellent job. While we enjoyed pretty much everything about the tour, the standout for us was the resteraunt where we had lunch. Not only was the food excellent, but they had a number of rescued animals there, and for the price of any donation you cared to make, you could hold a snake and a toucan, and pet and feed a squirrel monkey and some marmosets. My daughters absolutely loved that. I would highly recomend this tour.
Great sampling of PV area! Guide was knowledgeable of area and shared it well in very good english. If you are handicapped it may not be the tour for you. Danielle our guide was late to pick us up and didn’t communicate his location or ask ours. We tried to communicate but the app and info was inadequate. I didn’t have a phone number to call! Took a cab to PV at our own expense for 500 peso and finally after we had passed the Sheraton where we were finally called and told to meet and had to backtrack to. Overall the pickup at Vidanta was very poor!
Our tour guide Daniel was very sweet & informative. There were some great shops & cultural stops but we spent far too long at the jewelry shop & was a constant "sell" pressure - which was the same at the leather store. The tequila stop was excellent - Miguel was wonderful. The best thing about the trip was the people in our group - we became fast friends.
Overall we had a good time on this tour. We planned to use it as a way to find interesting spots to return to another day on our own. We did exactly that. There are various stops at retailers. The candy shop and tequila stops were the most interesting for us. Venturing out on our own, we found that there are so many awesome vendors in the "city market" area where the candy shop is located. Had we relized this we might've ventured a bit during this stop on the tour. If I were the tour operator, I would choose a different place for the food at the end. It was a little bar/lunch place that was combined with an "animal sanctuary" which kind if smelled bad. I was SO EXCITED for the animal stop, but it didn't live up to my hopes and expectations. The donkey we saw at the tequila stop was a better attraction. I will warn that the walk might be a little tough for older or less mobile folks. There is one little bridge in particular where my partner had to help an older woman across, because we were afraid she might fall. For a first time trip to PV, it was nice to identify key touristy spots that we came back to a couple of days later. While on the tour we purchased two tequila bottles, we found a yummier candy shop just a block or two away from the one we stopped at and also found some really great souvenirs in the city market area. In my opinion, some solo shopping time at the city market and lunch at "El Campanario" or "Casa Tradicional" would have been a much better end to the tour than the animal place.
Pretty lengthy tour but you cover a lot of ground (walking and driving) Daniel (Tour Guide) was awesome! He had a group of Spanish/English passengers and he explained all info in both languages.
A lot of walking so where some comfortable shoes. Our guide, Daniel, was very personable, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were not able to walk the Malrcon boardwalk due to the high tides caused by Hurricane Priscilla. E prepared for the pushy jewelry sales people. Overall, it was good walking and Tequila tasting tour
Daniel had an amazing personality and sense of humor but most of all, my family appreciated his knowledge of the history of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas. We learned so much about the culture and background of the people here. Daniel was very talented in that he did a tour in English and Spanish. This was a MUST DO for visitors!!!!!! We traveled to jewelry shops, leather shops, candy shops, tequila & coffee shops…..he kept us laughing and all 7 strangers felt close at the end of the tour. It was fun!!!
The tour was just at stated a promo. Our tour guide, Emil, was great and very knowledgeable about the area and history
It is as advertised. As the title says, it is a "promotional tour". The tour includes stops at vendors. That is why a tour of the entire PV area is so cheap. Those stops include "tours" and demonstrations. Moreover, the trip to the "tequila tasting" and lunch stop is worth the price. The guide will be a friendly local who goes out of their way to make sure you are are enjoying the excursion in the air condoned van. Better yet, they pick you up where you are staying. Highs recommend that you do this early on your trip.
