For those staying in Puerto Vallarta, you can opt to meet us at Puerto Mágico, a shopping center where you’ll find plenty of Mexican souvenirs, as well as chocolate, tequila, and coffee stores.

Located 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, on the southern coast of the bay, Las Caletas is a hidden paradise accessible only by boat. This secluded retreat is framed by jungle-covered mountains and abundant wildlife (it’s not an island, but a beautiful coastal retreat).

Jesus, a guide, was very friendly. The activities were very funny and exciting. We enjoyed the banana vert much. The show in the catamaran was the best! The only “but” is the attention at the Puerto Magico. All people ask you for your tickets but you don’t know who they are, they don’t wear uniform.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Las Caletas Tour in Puerto Vallarta! Everything was amazing, from the beautiful boat ride and breathtaking ocean views to the incredible scenery and relaxing atmosphere at Las Caletas. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very attentive, making sure everyone had a fantastic time. It was the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, nature, and fun. We made some beautiful memories and would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. Thank you to the entire crew for making our day so special. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended! 🌴☀️🌊
I have been on personal Vallartas Adventures and with work several times both in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo. I’ve seen hiccups due to lack of communication with our large groups. I have seen them argue with our event planning team about promises. They do not have good customer service. Let me tell you a little more. They are the largest adventure providers I know of in those areas. Their true customer service, though, leaves something to be desired. We were headed to Puerto Vallarta this coming week. The impending hurricane Simon changed our plans when the Jalisco government mandated tourists out of the water and for tourist businesses to shelter staff and customers. I attempted to cancel our tours because we cancelled flights and hotels with our vacation ruined due to near 100% predictions that the hurricane would make landfall near PV, resulting in Banderas Bay closing and the resort mandating that guests stay sheltered in their room. We cancelled all of our adventures. The ONLY company that gave us a hard time and refused to give us 100% of our money back was Vallarta Adventures. Just because they are the biggest tour operator does not mean they are the best. They are short sided thinking only about themselves instead of thinking about customers longterm. I’ve seen it on tours and through customer service.
Las Caletas was beautiful and relaxing lots of activities to choose from and wonderful food and drinks. Water is warm ans clear with tons of fish to see. The trip back was highlighted by the performance from Danny and the crew. We loved it. A must do activity when visiting Puerto Vallarta. I have booked several tours with the Adventures group ( Cabo and Vallarta) and have never been disappointed.
🚨 BUYER BEWARE — DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! 🚨 I would give ZERO stars if I could. Our group of six booked an excursion directly with this company and paid over $700. AFTER they accepted our booking and took our money, we were told that because we were arriving on a cruise ship, we were required to book the excursion through the cruise line instead. We were told to cancel our direct reservation and that we would receive a refund. We followed THEIR instructions, canceled the reservation, and then paid for the same excursion a second time through Royal Caribbean. We canceled in February 2026. It is now September 2026 — SEVEN MONTHS LATER — and they STILL have not refunded our $700+! I have sent email after email trying to get this resolved. For months I was told they were working on the refund. Now they have simply stopped responding to me altogether. To be clear: We canceled because THEY told us we needed to book through the cruise line. We did not use the excursion we purchased directly from them, and seven months later they are still holding more than $700 of our money. Seven months is beyond reasonable. Ignoring a customer who is owed more than $700 is completely unacceptable. If you are considering booking with this company, PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Based on our experience, I absolutely would not book with them again. I will gladly update this review if and when our refund is finally issued. Until then, I strongly recommend booking elsewhere.
Tacos were so good, a lot of variety, bring an empty stomach
Absolute paradise! My first time ever and i got to do so many firsts! Snorkel, zipline, banana and the spinner! Ive never gotten to experience anything like this place . I think I found where I want to spend my honeymoon
This was our first excursion during our trip and it did not disappoint!! The ride to/from the private beach was so fun thanks to the staff. Herman took great pictures of us and the entertainers did a great lipsync of The Black Eyed Peas!! There were so many team members ready to help once you reached the island. It was easy to get drinks throughout the day. The water was so beautiful! It was easy to relax before doing the activities. The food was so fresh!! It is a designated lunchtime right before leaving the private beach.
Las Caletas delivered a phenomenal experience from start to finish. The operation is run with true professionalism, and the staff are warm, engaging, and genuinely entertaining. The water is stunning, the scenery is breathtaking, and there are countless activities to enjoy, making the day feel full and memorable. We had such an incredible time that my husband and I immediately booked another visit to enjoy the dolphin and sea lion swim. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
This experience was worth every penny!! From the time you get on the ferry, to your time on the beach, to coming back to the marina…WONDERFUL!! So many options for families to do while they are they and staff were the best! We loved Chi!!
We booked the Las Caletas tour with the Tour Desk at our resort and departure by boat was 8 am. We were dropped off at the Island by 9 and were offered some welcome tacos and juice, then went off to explore. We had only one child who was 7 years old and could not go on the big kid activities. She was scheduled to go to the kids adventure park at noon... All adults and older kids rushed to get as much done as possible so that we could be back at the kids park in time so our little could also experience some adventure... We should have split up since the park is very spread out and it takes a loooong time to walk from one area to another. It is quite a hike! We were unfortunately 7 minutes late to the kids adventure park and they had already started without our little one, so she missed out on some things. The guide was kind enough to still let her partake in Ziplining and face painting at least. Everything felt super rushed, like we did not have time for anything. We did not get to do all the activities eat or drink anything form the "open bar!" It felt like we were running back-and-forth from activity to activity all day! The location itself is beautiful but the place is very unorganized! The kicker was that our pickup was supposed to be at 3 pm and our boat did not arrive until 4 pm. I guess 4 pm must be 3 pm in Mexico time?!?! While we waited by the docks we walked back to see if we could at least enjoy some drinks while we sat there but we were told the bar was closed and that we were only able to get water! We also had not gotten anything to eat all day! My wife tried the cooking class and said that when she got there they had already started so she missed a bit of the initial instructions. She again had to walk so far from A to B that it caused her to be a bit late. She was disappointed since she really wanted to learn the techniques. The nicest part was the virtual reality ride. It lt was cool to have a ride like that in the middle of a jungle and we were happy to at least get a little value out of that. Ziplining was cool, but dangerous! The operator was rushing to get people down since the lineup was huge. He told me to push off too early and I hit my tailbone on the edge of the platform going down... Three weeks later and my back still hurts! I am going to see an accupuncturist tomorrow in the hopes I can get some relief. Overall, it is a cool park and the nature that surrounds it is beautiful but don't get there thinking you will have time to do everything and do not expect to get value for your money. This place is definitely overpriced for what it offers. We won't return and do not recommend. There are nicer activities tours to do in PVR instead.
I went with my 9 year old last week. We primarily speak english but have a decent understanding of spanish. On the boat several guides come around with clipboards and fanny packs and handed out maps and explained things to folks on the boat- where the bathrooms are and what time meals are. Nobody talked with us so i finally asked someone and she just said 'oh you go to adventure zone'. not sure why nothing was explained to us and a tree was down so the path to adventure zone was closed - again not mentioned.
Overall, we had a very good experience at Las Caletas and would definitely recommend it. The boat ride both to and from Las Caletas was awesome. The boat crew was excellent, very entertaining, friendly, and really added to the experience. Once at the park, we did the Marine Life Encounter with the sea lions and rays, and this was definitely one of the highlights of our day. Our instructor, “Chencho,” was excellent and made the experience extremely fun for my entire family. And Litibú the sea lion is definitely a naughty boy — he actually French kissed me! LOL! It made for a very memorable moment. The lunch buffet was also good. It is not huge, but there were plenty of very good options, and the wait staff was excellent and attentive. My main criticism is simply that there is not enough time at Las Caletas to enjoy everything the park has to offer. The boat leaves around 3:00 PM, and with all of the different activities available, the day feels rushed. Adding another couple of hours would make a huge difference and would allow guests to get much more value from the experience. The other area that could use improvement is the adult zipline. The wait was way too long, mainly because there appeared to be only one person handling the entire operation. Having a second staff member assisting there would probably improve the flow considerably and allow guests to spend less of their limited time waiting in line. One piece of advice for future visitors: when you first arrive, I would skip the welcome taco and go straight to an activity. The taco was good, but considering how limited your time is at the park, I would rather use those extra minutes enjoying one of the attractions. Again, we had a great time, the staff was excellent, and Las Caletas is absolutely worth visiting. I just wish we had been able to stay a little longer so we could experience more of everything the park has to offer.
The distance between areas and make sure you have water shoes. The price was very high and the hidden feels was bad.
Absolutely incredible, I would write more but I’m to tired because I had to much fun
Amazing with Rocco+Kai, Marina, Karen, and Allen
Loved every minute of it. Everybody was friendly, the island was filled with drinks and good eats, and the service was fantastic. Swam all day, had a great lunch and plenty of drinks, and headed back, smooth sailing.
Wish I could give it a 5/5, but the food was not good. Staff were amazing, entertainment was great and it was fun doing all the activities. The saving grace was the cooking class which you made your own guacamole, pico and fish ceviche which all tasted great. Also the breakfast taco was delicious. But the buffet needs a lot of work. Over cooked protein and tasteless sides. If they get the right, it would be a 10 out of five.
We weren’t sure about coming here at first, but everything turned out to be perfect! We attended the Rhythm of the Night show, and the entire crew kept us entertained from the moment we boarded until the trip back home. Everyone was so accommodating, friendly, and made sure we were safe while having the best time. We truly love Puerto Vallarta! ❤️ Special thanks to Chai’s crew for taking such good care of us and making the whole experience even more memorable. 🌴✨
Experience was phenomenal!! Chai and his crew were amazing. They really put on a great show on our way to and from rhythm of the night. The show was spectacular and the length was just perfect besides its atmosphere being the cherry on top. Will definitely be back. Thank you crew!!!
It was an amazing experience from start to end
We here with 35 of us. A lot of fun and such a great experience
We had such an amazing experience at Las Caletas! The beach is absolutely beautiful, the activities were so much fun, and the entire day was unforgettable. Everything was well organized, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Jenny for her outstanding service. She went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience. She was especially kind and helpful with our baby, which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the activities without worrying. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made a huge difference in our day. If you’re visiting Puerto Vallarta, Las Caletas is definitely a must-do. We can’t wait to come back, and we hope to see Jenny again. Thank you for making our family feel so well taken care of!
Incredible experience and great attention by de guides
Great experience. So much to see, the tour guides were so nice and entertaining! Would definitely recommend!
Emmanuel at the flow rider station was amazing he was so engaging with me and my little sister and I’d totally recommend this experience to anyone traveling to puerto Vallarta
Absolutely fantastic! Our trainer Alfonzo was amazing and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this trip. Very worth it
We had a wonderful time it was a wonderful adventure with lots to do the massage was great and everyone enjoyed their time from pick up to drop off top tier the service was amazing. And everyone was so welcoming. Take all the pictures and put your phones down and let the photographers do the work it's worth it you make the memories and they catch the moments so worth it 🙌👌👍 Jenny from kids adventures was so great right along with the rest of the stage
It was amazing and the workers were so funny! Especially “Chai” was his name! Johnatin who does the surfing and Guti who does the VR, were absolutely amazing! It was a couple house, and a little expensive, but would totally recommend!
On another of our trips to PV and trips with Vallarta Adventures, we chose to try the Las Caletas trip. This trip did not disappoint. The crew was helpful and entertaining. The food was good. There were plenty of activities throughout the day. The best part was my wife got to spend the day just soaking up sunshine and salt water.
Las Caletas is a beautiful isolated beach and I enjoyed the ambiance for the day. I echo the reviews that talk about all the activities available and nice beaches. I will provide some tips on what to expect and have for the day: -Take a towel! The tour description won’t tell you this and you are not provided one by the area. -If you want a quieter area to relax away from all the small children keep going to the left on the beach. There are some nice chairs and lounges to relax. The downside is you will have to walk to the main area for lunch. -Take water shoes. There are rocky areas so they are handy to have. -The staff up talks the “breakfast taco”. It’s pretty good because it’s a homemade tortilla and black beans but that’s it. If you don’t go straight to the eatery areas as soon as you dock you will miss out. -The food available is scheduled. You will not have food available for the majority of the time because lunch is served towards the end of the tour. Then you board to leave. -The wine tasting is awesome! There were only three of us and we had personalized service. Loved it! Tips are pushed a lot with this company. We have done many tours with them over the years because they have good ones but we are so over the “tips talk”. Overall, we would do this tour again. There was not enough time to do all the activities which is a good thing.
This was a really fun day for our family group of 12. The cruises there and back included an open bar and loud fun Mexican music. The beaches were clean and not too crowded and the water was clear and warm. The lunch buffet was good. I'd definitely recommend this outing to others.
Outstanding service. Everybody was excellent! Fun day!
My 3 kids (8, 7, and 4) had such an amazing time. It was so well organized and the team members were so patient with my kids. The kids loved the donkey ride and the zip line. Even my 4 year old did the zip line and he wanted to go again! I would highly recommend doing the first one of the day, which for us was at 10:30am (since it’s not too hot).
Very good trip. Lots of things to do and food was good. Really enjoyed the guys entertainment, (IMPERSONATED BANDS) on the boat ride back it was enjoyable.
Excellent day. Well organized. Exceptional crew ,very helpful and their homeward bound entertainment was wonderful . The lunch was good and there was an open bar all day.
Beautiful beach, great staff, lots of fun activities, and interesting animals. The food was really good too. I didn’t feel like they were trying to upsell me the entire time, which is refreshing. Don’t get me wrong, there are some things that aren’t included with standard admission, and they ask you about them, but they take no for an answer.
Went to for the third time and it’s amazing as always. Lots of fun upgrades for cost of admission. We spent an extra $40 to interact with the lemurs and monk. Service, drinks and food were second to none. One bummer was the photo package. $260 us dollars is outrageous when the tour is about $150 per person
Very amazing experience. Everyone working there went above and beyond to make our experience great and memorable. Guti specifically was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had a super fun time.
The whole experience from beginning to end was amazing with Vallarta Adventures! All the guides were great and helpful, it was a great experience with the crew of boat #16! We would recommend this tour to everyone as las caletas beach is beautiful and they give you endless options for activities:)
The service was exceptional. Would be most ideal for families. Moises stood out as he tended to us frequently the entire weekend.
Everything was beautiful food was delicious but mostly the crew was amazing & funny & entertaining. We loved it
Wonderful day and activities. However both my husband and myself got terrible diarrhea from eating the food at Las Caletas. Another point that really has me upset is in their check in guide, it says each person owes “40 Mexican pesos” for entry fee. When checking in at Vallarta Adventures, we were told we had to pay $40.00 US dollars per person. That was 16-17 times higher than Mexican pesos. Beware! Only pay 40 Mexican pesos per their written instructions!
We went to Las Caletas and everything was amazing. We loved the simulator way more than we expected, Memo was great explaining everything and he also recommended a few more things to do. Thank you Memo!
What a beautiful place! Highly recommend. The food was delicious, staff was amazing and the activities were a blast, and such a beautiful Location! We were in boat B16 to and from the location and they were all so fabulous, the ride home was full of laughter singing and great entertainment! 10 out of 10 would do it again!
B16 is the boat to take on this trip! Such a great crew, made the ride home after all dat in the beautiful sun and fun, soo much better. They put on a rock show the whole way home, with beverages. Awesome!
Brendon and Capt Fernando on B16 were a delight. Such a fun time, a cool park/beach with lots to do! Wish we had more time but will be back! Recommend the stingray and sea lion one on one!
This experience was amazing from the beginning to the end including the workers were very helpful and polite especially David the bartender with his amazing drink and also Polo with a amazing experience and great attitude during the lockers.
Great tour, great fun, excellent service, lots to do and experience. You need cash for tips and they are well deserved. I wish the employees had a QR. code system for Venmo (or something similar) in place for when the cash runs low and I still wish to express my gratitude. (Especially for Brayan who I desperately tried to make his day much better as he was so awesome- a high bar, they were all so good) For those on the fence , by the time the day came to do this excursion we were exhausted and over it and still had one of the best days in spite of ourselves.
