Finding the desk after arrival at PVR was easy. Driver was pleasant & professional. Ride was perfunctory.
The online process was seamless, it took just a few minutes to book the service and the price was right. We were given clear instructions to meet Grayline outside (and avoid the timeshare salespeople inside the airport) and we were on our way to our hotel. Excellent stress free service.
They advertise low price and not clear information about the zone. Asked for our hotel name before they charged and when we arrived at the Puerto Vallarta airport, they asked for more money. This is not my first time experience. I’m sorry but I never put bad reviews but…..
I reserved hotel shuttle for 2 people from Puerto Vallarta to Costa Sur Resort and Spa. I paid $18 per person. When we arrived at the Airport, the Grayline person informed me I had to pay $5 per person more because our hotel was in Zone 3-4 and not Zone 2. Not good!
When exiting PV airport, do NOT let anyone divert you from getting out. Head straight for the main exit where the taxis and buses are. Tell them you have transportation and you know where you are going. Gray Line is to the left when you exit Dow the main sidewalk half way or so along the building.
We followed the directions to find the Gray Line desk. Everything was exactly as described. We got checked in quickly and were able to get our ride without a wait. The car was air conditioned and our driver was very knowledgeable on the fastest way to get us to the Conchas Chinas area. I will definitely use them again!
Very fast and reliable. The transportation service has been booked via Viator and performed by Gray Line.
As experienced before, the timeshare reps and taxi drivers were very present and vocal at PVR. It was easy to get past them without being rude because I kept repeating I already had transportation booked. Asking for "Greyline" got me to the rep quickly, and he soon loaded us into a comfortable and clean car. A short, pleasant drive to the hotel with a kind and gracious driver.
Weeks prior to our departure We had already paid in full the quotted amount for our transfer. Upon arrival at PVR airport, before boarding our transfer to our hotel the transportation provider said that Viator didn't charge the right amount and charged us an additional $115 US. This is fraud and terrible business practice. Do not use Viator!
The staff were so helpful and very kind from the moment I got out of the airport. They made sure that I got to my hotel safely where I was to meet up with my friend for vacation. There was a mix up with my reservation but they got me a private car. My driver was very nice and got me to the resort quickly and safely. Thank you so much for the great experience. I will definitely book again. I highly recommend to anyone considering using Viator
Good, Fake news presented was BS
Could not find where to get Viator pickup at airport. We asked everyone where to find Viator. Finally someone helped us and only by using the phone number to find out it was listed under Gray line Additionally , we had to pay an extra $10 according to them. Then we find out for the price that we paid that it was not a personal ride that we had to share with a group. And waited 20 minutes for the pick up. It was horrible.
Booked on Viator, confirmed with a representative my trip details from the airport to my hotel and when I arrived to the shuttle area I was told I had to pay $8 extra because they confirmed the wrong hotel zone and the blame was all on Viator “not them” , The man assisting me was very rude outside of the airport, told me to either pay the $8 or we don’t go on the shuttle. I was traveling with a party of 8. My 4 children and my in laws. I felt it was a bit ridiculous to charge me only $8 to go to the correct zone, but we ended up paying it since I did have small children very tired and ready to be at our final destination to rest. I won’t be using Gray Line or Viator again to book a shuttle service.
Prompt pickup in a clean air conditioned car. Member met us out terminal & got us settled. Helped with the luggage
First of all, I could not find our ride in all the chaos, and we got shuffled around to another driver. I think all these rides are connected because our names were on a list with many others, so I took the ride thinking that it was legit. The airport is mass chaos, but between all the people trying to sell us timeshares, we were very careful in trying to find our ride - never did see a "Gray Line" vehicle.
Guide was unresponsive during shelter in place intentionally leaving us unable to plan to obtain refund.
Due to the circumstances taking place in PV we were unable to travel but this company refuses to refund me my money. 0/10 recommend. Horrible customer service when I reached out for a refund.
When we arrived at the airport, the shuttle company did not have our reservation, I showed them our confirmation and they said they didn’t have it on their schedule and that they would need to charge us $86 more than we already paid which was over $100 already. What a scam. We ended up waiting and waiting and they were trying to get us to pay more saying the drive was over an hour. We had to walk away since we couldn’t get them to even commit to how long it would take to get the shuttle that we already reserved and paid for. The Uber we took was $45 total for the 30 minute ride. Total scam.
Booked a large van for our group. Our flight was delayed so they took an Uber. Viator/Grey Line put us in a Toyota Camary. When we requested a partial refund for the smaller vehicle they refused.
Fast, reliable, well priced. Easy to find at airport. Driver helped load and unload the luggage . Great overall service
SUGGESTION TO VIATOR: IN YOUR “ARRIVAL TO AIRPORT” INSTRUCTIONS, 1) Tell customers where to meet the van, 2) It appears Viator partners with Gray Line. Do passengers go to Gray Line area. Locating specific transportation carriers outside by the arrivals curb is a zoo. Need specific arrival instructions.
The ease of finding our location to meet was perfect. The driver was friendly and very informative. Safe transportation and delivery.
Oscar was fantastic. Easy conversation and very kind. Made sure I was going to the right place and helped me with all my luggage.
The transportation company did not have our reservation. They did accommodate after showing the confirmation number. But we waited a bit. I booked it weeks in advance. The transportation company was excellent though.
Name wasn’t on their list on arrival. Didn’t get what I paid for (private transfer) and then abandoned after 15 minutes. Ended up booking an airport taxi for $80 USD. Complete waste of the $110 I pre paid.
Way too slow for the price we paid. Uber would’ve been quicker and much cheaper. Better service is needed at that price point.
Quick service from airport. The ride was smooth and they helped with luggage. Felt safe and loved the fun facts about the area
Even though I had confirmed my reservation for the shuttle, I arrived in Puerto Vallarta to gray line having no knowledge of my reservation. It created a lot of hassle and delayed us getting to Hotel by about an hour. Will not use TripAdvisor again.
I booked transportation from the Puerto Vallarta airport to our hotel through Viator. Upon arrival the transport company that was on our ticket did not have us down on any bookings at their kiosk. They recommended we take a taxi and seek a refund through Viator. I have now been on the phone with Viator for over an hour over 5 different phone calls while on vacation explaining what happened and expecting a refund. Viator states that they can not grant a refund since ‘we were unwilling to pay more to travel to the proper hotel zone.’ This upcharge issue was never communicated to us and we would have been happy to pay more to get transportation to our hotel. It’s a made up reason in order for them to keep $82. I cannot believe that this customer service is allowed and I will not be using Viator in the future. I recommend booking.com. They have customer service that actually makes sense and will not steal from you.
Took a half hour to get a van to take us to the hotel. Booked a 3 person van and got a van with 6 others making stops on the way. Not what I paid for.
It was seamless agent of the grey line was outside of the terminal and checked are names and took care of trip to Hotel .his name was Ramon it represents great customer service bravo
The website did not provide clear information about the transportation options. After booking I sent messages to the provided email address as well as to the driver with information about my arrival time at the airport. The next day the driver contacted me and informed me that I chose the wrong option. So the first problem is that the website does clearly provide information on each "option" or match your "destination" information with the correct option. I let the driver know that I needed to cancel. I then tried to cancel online but the system would not refund my payment even though it was clearly more than 24 hours before my stated arrival time at the airport. I sent another email to the provided address stating explaining the cancellation problem. Three days later I have still not received any communication from that email, and my credit card was charged for the travel that didn't happen. So the second problem is that they are not honest about providing a refund if your cancellation occurs more than 24 hours before the schedule transfer service.
It was great! The driver was friendly and got us to the airport on time for our flight. :-) Will definitely use in the future. :-)
I would have rated them 5 stars if they wouldn't have sent me a text that my hotel was in zone 4. It was clearly a zone 2 hotel. Otherwise my experience was good.
After waiting 30 mins in a line the operator told us that they don't have a booking for us. He was rude. wanted us to wait on the side so he can help others. We ended up taking an Uber.
Trying to contact the Gray Line company for our pick up time confirmation but no answer. I need to get in touch with a representative today.
Once we got the van, it was wonderful. But the pre-trip communication and the confusion at the airport was a bit disappointing. However, the staff at the airport worked very hard and successfully resolved the issue.
Car left before picking us up. The second car I ordered and paid for came a day earlier. Got up charged before agent found another car. Waited hour and a half. Got a worn out fan with no air conditioning. Worst service
They didn’t have my reservation on record, which seemed odd and confusing. But they arranged alternate transportation for me and seemed to smooth it over just fine. Because I was traveling alone, I was a tad nervous about being out into a vehicle alone when I was expecting a shuttle bus with others. But honestly, it was a surprise upgrade! The driver was excellent and pointed out different parts of the city to me as we drove to my hotel, which was way south of the city.
Very efficient. Nice driver. Expedient. I would recommend this service to anyone. It was a mad house w/all the taxi cabs/glad to have prearranged transportation.
On arriving at PVR we anticipated that someone would have our name on a sign or at least the transfer company would have clear signage. That was not the case. We did eventually find a Grayline representative and were instructed to wait in a lengthy line-up. After waiting for about twenty minutes we were told our name wasn't on the list. This was notwithstanding having clear confirmation through VIATOR and having even communicated to Grayline our flight info by e-mail. It took about ten minutes before the issue, with not being on the list, was resolved. We were then taken to yet another line-up where we waited an additional 20 minutes. Overall it took much longer and was much more expensive than simply taking a taxi. To Grayline's credit they did offer to give us free return transfer to the airport.
They were there to meet me and the transportation was excellent. I would definitely recommend Viator.
The folks who assisted us were very Efficient, very courteous, and very quick to help get us in our way. No delays or issues!
After contacting Viator to confirm my 10/19 reservation on 10/15 by phone indicating pickup location/time 9:30am and asked for email confirmation...that never came. App showed confirmation #; on 10/19 at 8am I decided to call again since I hadn't gotten the email and my reservation was not in their system. They sent a regular taxi that arrived on time.
I thought somebody would be holding up a sign with our name on it and this was NOT the case. It took a while after asking a number of people to figure out where we needed to be. Driver was very pleasant.
Although the picture of the van shows the name of the company, it does not exist. Also there were no persons with a Viator sign but we did locate someone with the name of the transport company. We waited outside in the hot sun for over a half hour - we had to wait for a taxi and kept being told to move from one spot to another - 4 times. If we had just walked out of the terminal and hailed a taxi it would have taken minutes.
The company has clear identification through a stand and specific colors and logos on their shirts. They do sometimes work with other drivers but assume responsibility for the quality of the experience. We had a private car at no extra costGoof, even though we booked a shuttle
It all worked out ok, but the grayline folks put us in a taxi... not sure why. It was a small car and my husband is a big guy. They do things a little different in mexico.
Easy pick up, no issues at all! Very friendly and accommodating!! Love the staff! Appreciate all of you!!
