Private Tour: El Eden Atv Adventure From Puerto Vallarta

Y’all, this entire experience was top notch from the get-go. The office was easy to find and get to, and the staff was friendly. Our tour guide (Hey Raphael!) was fan-flipping-tas-tic. The pacing of the tour was perfect, the scenery was amazing, and it was a great way to see parts of the city that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. I cannot recommend this highly enough, and when go ask for Raphael :)

We rode the ATVs from Cinco De Diceimbre to El Eden. This in itself was a lot of fun but then we did the ziplining as well. All in all a great day. Rafael was our tour guide and he was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour company and Rafael.

We went on 1/7/2026. Driving the ATV around town and to different locations was fun and enjoyable. We were lucky enough to experience locations with next to nobody at them, making it really pleasant. Overall a good experience. Our guide Sergio was friendly and funny throughout the trip. And made sure to ask what we wanted to do. The whole experience seemed pretty short and we both agreed we would have enjoyed a few more hours. This adventure wasn't through the jungle in the way I thought it would be. 90% of the time you are on the main roads in town and along the coast and then it's on well defined dirt roads just off the main road. If you are looking to get into the jungle and feel like you got out of town, this adventure is not the one.

These guys were great and very friendly. We had an issue with the booking cause by TripAdvisor but they jumped through hoops to make it right and came through with all their promises. The experience riding the ATVs was amazing. Very fun ride and the stop for lunch and tequila tasting was so great.

My wife and returned to Puerto Vallarta for the fourth year to celebrate our anniversary in September. Once again we stayed at the Hyatt Ziva which is about 1/2 hour from the airport towards Mismaloya. we love this area because it is out and away from city, and close the Malecon where we like to walk daily and mingle with the people. Being one who is always seeking some sort of adventure we once again sought out Xiutla Riders ( 4th year in row) which just happens to be a short walk from the Malecon! From the first year we rode with them on their quads/ four wheelers we knew we would return. The experience of piloting a quad through the city and up into the into the hills and jungles is exhilarating, eye opening and just flat out FUN!!! Our guides have always been attentive, cordial, safety conscious and willing to accomodate our desires as far as what we would like to see, how long we would like to be out, and when to stop for the occasional tequila tasting/ lunch! You can ride single or double ( as my wife and I do, with me piloting the vehicle while she gets incredible photos as we journey) Stop when you like, walk about , swim in the rivers, meet and visit with the truly wonderful people of Vallarta. Our guide this year was Sergio, a fantastic young man from Guadalajara who knew all the fun routes, the history of the area, and bore a very striking resemblance to our son Brandon, right down the mannerisms! We actually ended up getting a flat while riding which he plugged up and got us going again in a matter of minutes always smiling. An adventure within an adventure! We enjoyed our time with him so much that we ended up booking another trip with him a few days later! Trips range from about 3 hours to 5 hours depending on your desires, and now we have have been on all 5 of their tours with Cecelia, Martin, Edson and twice with Sergio as our guides. Every one of them really super in their own ways! Now we look impatiently forward to next year when they have promised to take us on one of their exclusive tours that only those who have ridden all the others get to experience.. We can't wait! If you too like adventure, and getting out into the heart of Vallarta, experiencing how the people live and experiencing the vast beauty of the hills and terrain that is Vallarta, DO NOT MISS XIUTLA RIDERS!!! To Fernando, Juan, Jean Carlo, Sergio, Cecelia, Martin and Edson, Mil Gracias para todos! The memories and good times will never be forgotten and we look forward to creating more next year!

This excursion was amazing. We went as a family and we all loved it. Franco was the best tour guide!! It was a perfect way to see Mexico and it's culture. We stopped at a mexican restaurant while on the tour and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this trip.

We initially booked the 4-hour tour to the Predator movie location, but once we arrived at the tour start point, the guy at the desk explained that it is mostly on-road along the coast with ocean views and just a short trip into the mountains/jungle. We wanted the least on-road. Since the tours are private, you are basically just paying for time and can choose to go along whatever route you want. We opted to go more directly into the mountains as the desk guy suggested. Rafael was great guide - no corny jokes, no pushing extra-cost items, no pressure to eat at the restaurant or engage in a tequila tasting. He helped with what was needed, gave a perfect amount of history and information when we stopped to see various sights and led at our chosen pace. We can’t say enough positives about the experience and Rafael. The ATVs were well-maintained Honda 420cc units. Other tour companies take the same routes; we saw some of their guests and guides. However, those were larger groups and I understand that they only go in large groups and have a rigid schedule of stops and duration at each stop. Our tour was completely private and custom, just us two and a guide. We choose when and where to stop and for how long. Highly recommended!

I booked the Honda 150 dual-sport dirt bike. I had a great experience with Franco. I'm a fluent-native speaker which was not required but it helped. My experience comes from single-track and trails. This was a great experience having to get out of PV and hitting the dirt roads. It was very similar to riding fire-roads in Colorado. Ensure to wear proper shoes and recommend a buff for the dust. I can't wait to return and try a new area.

Amazing tour. Before we left our guide, Franco, gave us some recommendations on tweaking our route, and he was spot on. He guided us throughout the way and the views were beautiful. We finished with a stop at the lighthouse for an amazing view of the city. My wife was apprehensive about driving her own ATV, but she learned quickly and was soon shredding the trails. We highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our excursion on the ATV to the mountains! Staff was professional, made the pre- ride easy and fast. No gimmicks or pressure to pay more money upon arrival. We had a wonderful guide (Marco). He kept us safe, made things fun and he was really patient with everyone in our small group of friends. Be prepared for (4) hours of dust and dirt! You will love the beautiful countryside and the small little towns and neighborhoods you ride thru. We also enjoyed a nice lunch and refreshments along the ride. Don’t be afraid to use this company, all of us riders are over 60+ and we give this excursion …Two ThumbsUp!

Our Tour guide Franco was very nice and knowledgeable about the city and the best areas to run through. The stops were outstanding and the Tequila tasting experience was super fun!

Two couples, (aged 58-74), had wonderful tour with Sergio.He watched over everyone and we had a blast. It was quite dusty, but that didn’t slow us down. Our first stop was at Mi Abuleo. We had some of their homemade cheese from their cows- family owned, very cool place. You can get in the pool or river. A couple of stops for pictures and the last stop at Cocina del Cuale was perfect. We sat on the deck over the river with a passion fruit margarita-so relaxing. This was our 2nd tour with Xiutla & we’d choose them again!

This is our second time in PV and second time with this company for a private ATV tour. We requested our ride with Edson as we had him last year and had a wonderful time. Edson is the absolute best!!! Fantastic guide, great person, and also provides cultural and historical information while on the tour. Highly recommend riding with Edson. We'll be back for sure!!!

This is a must if you’re staying in PV or even near PV in Bucerias like we were. We did a private ATV tour with Edson and can’t say enough good things. Edson didn’t rush us, had excellent knowledge of where we were riding and took us to two awesome spots for a drink and some food. He encouraged us to stop and enjoy the amazing views and took the time to ensure we had a comfortable ride and most importantly everyone was safe. The tequila tasting at the end was a highlight as well, the place was pristine and the nachos and guacamole were phenomenal. We even got to see and pet a little pig who was very friendly. Thanks again Edson, the tour was worth every penny and I’m so happy you were our guide!

We chose an alternative to our private tour to El Eden. Edson, our guide, suggested taking a more scenic ATV ride through the mountains. His suggestion was perfect as we had been to El Eden many times. The scenery was drop dead gorgeous and the beauty of inland Puerta Vallarta was spectacular. Edson told us many stories of the land and people. We stopped twice for refreshments and the people could not have been nicer. Thank you, Edson, for a wonderful experience!

Great experience for the family, we took our two boys kids aged 14 & 12. It had rained the night before so there were plenty of muddy puddles to drive through which was fun. We took the mountain trail which was beautiful, though the jungle, traveling along a river, drove through a few cute villages. Our guide was Edson, he was fun and knowledgeable about the area. We made a few stops along the way. first stop was cool, along the river, with swimming ponds. It was a little expensive though, charged $18 for a cocktail! The second stop was a little house/restaurant and we had the best steak tacos. Overall, great day, very scenic and a great way to see the other side of Puerto Vallarta.

This tour was a blast! We originally signed up for the El Eden tour, which was set to take us to the set of the Predator film, but were given alternate tour options when we arrived. We opted to switch to one that was more scenic and off the beaten path - and were so glad we did! With it being the rainy season, we had a chance to splash through the river, go over bridges, and head into the mountains. Edson was an excellent guide. He made sure we were comfortable riding, and took time to share more about the different areas when we made stops. Our second stop was a small restaurant on the river, where we decided to grab lunch and chill for a bit. (The food was delicious!). Professional photos were taken along the way and turned out great, so ended up purchasing those as well. All in all, the crew and experience were both great- I would highly recommend!

We took the private tour and our guide was Franco. The entire team was friendly, explained everything, and made sure we were comfortable with the plans for the 4-hour trip. Franco provided us with safety instructions before riding and then guided us through the streets of Puerto Vallarta into the mountains and off-road. We made several stops while visiting a few restaurants in the mountains. Franco also explained some of the sights along the way. We also had a photographer with us taking pictures the entire time. We ended up back in Puerto Vallarta, saw the famous Bridge of Love, and climbed to the top of a lighthouse for an amazing view of the city. We would book with these guys again!

Sergio was an excellent guide, always made sure we were safe and having a good time. Really funny dude always going above and beyond for a great customer experience. The equipment was clean and the ride to the jungle had a lot of nice views, tequila tasting instructor was really funny and instructive as well. Great food as well

This was such an incredible time last year that I had to bring my daughters to do it this year. Thankfully we got Eric as a guide again and we had a blast! No one was ready for the ride to end and even after several other activities and excursions the following days, this is still being talked about to do again days later. Book it!!

Came last year & knew I had to bring my daughters. We did multiple excursions, they held parrots, tigers, eagles and monkeys, took a boat to paradise & this was hands down everyone’s favorite excursion of the trip. Thankful we got Eric again second year in a row. They are high on safety & it’s just an absolute blast!

The tour was absolutely amazing. We rode through the city, villages and mountains. It was by far one of the best ATV rides I’ve taken Franco was an awesome guide. We learned a lot of the culture from his many lessons (inside joke 😂). Thanks Franco. We will be back….

We did our company outing on a private tour to a waterhole to swim with cocolocos (you’ll know when you get there) and a tequila tasting with some awesome food. The staff is so engaged in making sure you have a great time and they really work hard to make sure it’s safe and fun. Definitely a must do if you have a large group and want to do a tour or just even a small group.

This was my 2nd time on this tour and I’ll do it again next time!! Martin was our guide and Roberto our photographer. And the two of them made for an exciting ATV adventure!! I don’t have the actual ATV photos on my phone-just the ones we took so that’s what I uploaded. But we opted for the more adventurous backroads tour rather than the highway. It didn’t disappoint! The scenery was spectacular. And the tequila tasting with my guide from last time, Octavio, was fantastic! You don’t have to have experience riding ATV’s - they teach you everything and make it super easy! Book the tour. You’ll love it!

Went on a dual sport motorcycle tour through town and into the hills with Edson. Beautiful views, waterfalls and a side of PV we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Great to have such a friendly and knowledgeable guide in Edson, who prioritised safety and fun. Definitely worthwhile!

My friend and I had an absolute blast, awesome staff and Sergio was a legend, showed us some beautiful places of Puerta Vallarta you wouldn’t see anywhere else. 100% do again

We an incredible 4 hour tour with Xiutla Riders ATV tour. Making the reservation was easy. Eason was our tour guide. He told us what to expect, he explained how to use the ATVs, and safety information. As the tour progressed, he added information about PV and its history. Eason was an amazing tour guide and we highly recommend him.

What a day, what a tour!! Our tour guide Martin was so patient with us. We could make every step at our own paice. Great stop at the waterfall, where we had a refreshing swim, and great stop at the tequila tasting! Never thought tequila could taste this good. The ride itself was unforgettable. Thanks for a fantastic day, which we will always remember.

I was so nervous being a first time rider and being in another country with narrow roads but 20 minutes into the ride and I began planning my next trip back to bring my teenage daughters. The views alone were breathtakingly stunning. Photos do NOT do this excursion justice in any way shape or form. At least ours didn’t, thankfully Erick rode ahead on his motorcycle and captured the most amazing shots of us in addition to watching for oncoming traffic on the roads ahead. Martin was super patient and both of them were such a pleasure to have as our guides. We did so many activities on this vacation but we both agreed that this excursion was hands down the absolute best of our trip & we’ll leave with awesome memories. We took the El Eden route, tried some amazing tequila and had lunch in the jungle. Being able to not worry about trying to capture our own photos really let’s you live in the moment. Amazing time with my wife, my daughter and her boyfriend. City/Mountain/Jungle tour (3 hrs) with Edson as our guide - him and his body (the photographer) were great! Wonderful time, expertise, safety and friendliness. They offer great photos if you like as well. Fun! And they were very helpful/patient to coach for first time riders. Trustworthy and friendly company and staff. It was the four of us plus guide (Edson)... small private group which was awesome! Highlights: Views from the top of the mountains! Crossing large group of horses being taken back to the ranch! Refresments/Easy bite half way in Tequila tasting place! Trail and rivers! I highly recommend this company: Xiutla Riders Ecoadventure, and Edson (our guide) was great!

Absolutely LOVED this tour with Martin - such a cool guy! My husband and I went on a double rider and I definitely would choose to do that again as I don't trust myself riding intown and in the mountains myself. Plus I had the opportunity to see the beautiful scenery - from the city streets to riding alongside the ocean - it was breathtaking! I would 100% do this tour again or try another route with the same company. Literally, the only negative, was asking for more money at the end to pay for the pictures. We had such a cool photographer with us, but it just wasn't in our budget to spend an additional amount, on top of the tour fee. PSA: Leave your guides a tip - they are awesome!

Cecilea, our guide was PERFECT.....We did it last week with some buddies and I booked one for the following week for another tour with some other buddies coming into town!!! The stops were great w/ lots of options and wiggle room for the group to make everyone happy!

I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was Aldair and he was awesome. He went at a good speed that kept up with the flow of traffic on the highway but allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery. He looked back often to make sure we were still behind him. We were able to stop and take photos at a few places along the route. We went to El Eden and ate at the restaurant that overlooked the water fall. The staff at El Eden we fun, friendly and very welcoming. Food was delicious. Then we went back down the mountain to a tequila tasting, which was a lot fun and informative. Then headed back to the initial meeting place. It was nice to have a photographer follow us down the mountain and snap photos of us riding the ATVs. Overall, the private tour was great from start to finish. Duration was about 4 hours total. Excellent customer service, Scenic rides, and experiences in El Eden make this tour worth it.

This was my favorite tour of many I’ve done throughout Mexico. Our tour felt intermediate but still very safe with Edson as our guide; taking us throughout the beautiful mountains which surround the city on dirt roads where the stunning views were in abundance at every turn. The private tour allows for more flexibility on pace as well as it takes you through a wider variety of routes. So much fun and worth every penny. Thank you Edson for the exhilarating and breath taking experience.

My friend and I had a blast. We really appreciated our tour Marcos. He took his time in explaining the ATV gears and brakes etc (my time ever riding a quad). He kept a close eye on my friend and I. I could have done without the tequila info session and vendor. But other than that your was great! When we were almost done, the police did stop all 3 of us, told us to turn off the ATVs and get off since they were towing them! Kinda scary! The tour company provided us an Uber ride back so that was nice. All in all- great time!

The experience was amazing! Our guide was Edson and he made us very safe throughout the trip. We rode through the jungle over rivers and into the mountains. This was extremely fun. My fiance has limited experience and she rode her own ATV perfectly. You will get dusty so dress accordingly. Make sure to smile for the camera. If your indecisive, just book this trip. You will love it and enjoy it. It's a great experience to view PV.

Worth every peso and then some! The views were great. Tour guide was awesome. Customer service was superb. It was my first time on on an ATV and I was little scared but the tour guide was very helpful and encouraging. I didn't die! Also the stops through the water falls, natural river and restaurant in the jungle was amaziiiiing. The food and drinks was the one of the best I had in Puerto Vallarta. They offer tequilla tasting and tortilla-making classes too. I would definitely do this again (I think I can handle the "intermediate" course). They have 3 tours with different levels- beginner, intermediate and advance and each course extends hours(s) more depending on the difficulty. I would've gone for a few more hours since the views were so pretty! They provide helmets, goggles and masks for your face so you don't taste the bugs (although there weren't really bugs to begin with). It's also very family friendly. Kids can ride on the two seater with a parent driving the ATV. Last but not least our tour guide named "Ninja" was so hospitable. Please tip him (BIG) if you have this guy as your guide. He does his job well and with genuine kindness. That's hard to find sometimes. Don't miss this tour while in Puerto Vallarta. I promise you won't regret it!!

Our group of 4 had an excellent time on this tour with Tina and Noe. They guided us along the highways, into the jungle, and accommodated our photo requests. We had a great day. Highly recommend them and this tour!

We had the best time with Noe and Ninja on our afternoon with them. We had an 11-year-old so chose to enjoy El Eden. It was the right choice for us as he thoroughly enjoyed sliding down the little rapids and the pool. We felt very safe with them. They made sure we were taken care of all the time including driving a bit slower for me after tequila tasting! OH that was fun! BUY THE PICTURES!!! You won't regret it! They don't call the photographer "NINJA" for nothing! We will be back and use them again. P.S. I'm a travel advisor so I have some pretty high standards. These guys are good!

The jungle villages and views were amazing! Recommend for active couples that want to explore and see different areas of PV. Tequila tasting was great.
