An incredible hike with an amazing guide! Curiel took such great care of us. He was always in a fantastic mood and clearly passionate about what he does. Along the way, he explained all the wildlife and plants we came across. He also carefully guided us through the more challenging parts of the trail, explaining each step to make sure we stayed safe and looked out for others. We would have happily booked more excursions with Curiel if we had stayed longer. We highly recommend him! Merci Curiel !!!! 🫶🏻

We went on one of Curiel,s tour today. It was so fun and we learned a lot about the flora and fauna. Not to mention the challenging hike, that we were proud of completing. I recently went on a Curiel Experience hike with some friends. We chose the challenging, but half-day hike and were not disappointed. The hike itself was rocky, crossing the water several times - challenging enough to be fun, but doable and enjoyable for experienced hikers. The second half of this hike, to the second waterfall, is much more challenging and you should be ready for that. :) A couple of our group elected to stay at the first waterfall while the rest tackled the steeper climb. Both groups were very happy at the end of the day. The trip leader was friendly, full of information about the area, knowledgeable about what we would need, and very helpful throughout the hike. 10/10 would choose this company for another hike on a return trip.

It was a beautiful hike seeing streams and waterfalls and lots of nature. Curiel is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. We would definitely hike with him again!

This experience was superb, made so in part by the fantastic mountain and spectacular river and waterfall, but mostly by Curiel himself. He is energetic, focused on safety, knowledgeable, skilled, and funny. We had a great time.

Curiel was a friendly and gracious guide. He pointed out lots of local plants and wildlife, and even picked fresh fruits to share on the hike! I felt very safe and had an amazing time seeing the spectacular waterfalls. Highly recommend.

Curialx took is in the scenic way (a little challenging but well worth it) 30 to 45 min at the falls. Would recommend to any able body person.

My daughter and I hiked with Curiel on our final tour together in Mexico, and it was such a unique and memorable experience. Swimming under a waterfall, watching hummingbirds and macaws in their natural habitat—every moment felt magical. This hike was hands down one of the best I have been on! Curiel took such good care of us, he was so kind and knowledgeable, we learned so much during the hike! I highly recommend any hike with him, and we will be doing a few more next year on our trip!

Had an amazing hike through the forest to swim in an isolated pool. Curiel lead us through the forest showing us plants and animals native to this region. Extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and fun. We had such a good time. Everyone should do this! Extremely LGBTQ friendly.

This was a great physical workout with waterfall as reward. Curiel is an excellent guide, knowledgeable and careful. He was helpful when the trail became tricky. Suggest walking shoes or hiking boots for this hike.

We had a great time. Curiel is very caring and helped me with my bag. The hike was challenging but fun. There were two stops for swimming. The waterfalls are beautiful.

I booked the Palo Maria hike with Curiel in early October 2024 and had a fantastic experience. No one else signed up so it was completely private, which was pretty amazing. Curiel is very knowledgable about flora and fauna and took a lot of time to show me everything he saw... spiders, butterflies, birds, orchids, mushrooms and more! He's also extremely kind and cares deeply about the areas where he guides hikes: He carried out an entire garbage bag full of trash left by other hikers. He also took about a million great photos of me and my dogs while we hiked and airdropped them to me at the end of the hike. I cannot recommend him enough!

Curiel guided our group of 8 through a thrilling jungle and stream trail of exotic plants, birds, and reptiles. Climbing the mountain trails to the waterfalls, while dangling from ropes was sooo much fun. Curiel was an instant friend you wanted to take back home. If you desire a knowledgeable/personal/friendly guide, then book with this guy. He is fantastic. The pictures he takes are excellent for your memories. Joey B.

Our host was very helpful and kind. My wife got Ill so we couldn’t complete the hike and Cerillo (unsure of the spelling of his name) took her by the hand and guided her back. He gave us a lot of information about the flora and fauna. He clearly loves God’s creation and we will pray that God speaks to him during his times in the mountains.

Really nice hike and swim with Curiel! Would definitely recommend for those who like some fairly steep terrain, including some ropes/rappelling, with two gorgeous swimming holes as the reward. Good hiking shoes or boots are a must. Learned lots about the area and flora/fauna, encountered wildlife as well. Highly recommend!!

The hike with Curiel was the highlight of my week! He was right on time to pick me up, and was friendly and outgoing from the start. The hike was incredible. I definitely didn’t expect it to be as challenging as it was, but Curiel was very patient and helped guide me through the hard spots. The waterfalls at the end were beautiful and I got a chance to swim in the pools. It was honestly one of the best adventures I’ve had in the many times I’ve been to PV. Highly recommended!

I signed up for this experience because I love being amongst nature. I never imagined that I would be so blown away by the amazingly beautiful scenery, the guide's knowledge of the flora and fauna, his attentiveness and passion for the well-being of the environment. This is a thrilling adventure that must not be missed while in Puerto Vallarta.

Curiel was amazing, lots of fun to hike with and talk with. The hike was fun, some bouldering, scrambling, and repelling, a nice little adventure. Waterfalls were refreshing and peaceful as well! Highly recommend Curiel!

Curiel did an amazing job. He had lots of stories and really good info about the flora and fauna. He helped me because I was the weakest hiker. He gave good guidance throughout. I recommend this hike for moderately experienced hikers. I walk three to five miles five days a week, but only occasionally do mountains and I wasn't prepared for all of the hike. It was fun learning to use the ropes. The pool at the waterfall was beautiful and deep.

We were scheduled to hike with Curiel on 2/17/24 to Maria Pala. On 2/16 he cancelled our hike due to illness and offered either a reschedule or a refund. We were unable to reschedule so opted for a refund. Despite several email exchanges he never offered a refund and claimed my email was going into his spam folder! I finally obtained a refund by disputing the charge with my credit card. I would hesitate booking a hike with him due to his extremely poor customer service and lack of follow through.

This is a difficult and technical hike, at 57 years old and no hiking experience I really wasn't sure I'd be able to do it but we were with a gentleman in our group who was 77 years old so I was inspired by him, however he is a very experienced hiker. The thing that made me most comfortable though was Curiel, our wonderful tour guide, he stepped me through all the hard parts, told me exactly where to place my feet and what to do. He is the kindest and most gentle person you ever want to meet, and his knowledge of the flora and fauna in this region is extensive. In the end, I was so proud of myself for finishing the entire hike. The waterfalls and overall scenery was beautiful.

We were in such good capable hands with Curiel. I am not experienced with such technical hikes but felt completely at ease with Curiel’s guidance. We loved this tour so much and highly recommend.

My husband and I were guided on an absolutely amazing hike with Curiel! He has such a wonderful personality and so much knowledge and passion which he shared as he guided us through the jungle to the waterfalls. Curiel provided the opportunity for growth and experience to try new things and it was incredible to say the least! It was an opportunity of a lifetime for my husband and I! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the waterfall hiking experience guided by Curiel and would absolutely do another hike with him in the future. He was awesome to say the least! Curiel guided us with his great expertise of the trails and taught us so much about climbing and repelling as well as our footing while climbing over rocks and boulders and along the narrow ledges. He also shared his knowledge of the fauna and flora we encountered which just added that much more to our journey! I do have a fear of heights and with the help encouragement and support of Curiel I was able to do all that was necessary to enjoy the whole experience without any fear at all or very minimal. Curiel has a way about him and his techniques that put you at ease all the way along the hike. I trusted him 100% as did my husband and it was a wonderful time all around. If I could give Curiel 10 stars, I would. He was an incredible tour guide for our hike today. So personable and knowledgeable. This was a highlight of the trip, worth every penny and I cannot recommend him highly enough. The hike itself is quite challenging, treacherous as time, yet we were laughing all day and felt totally safe under Curiel’s guidance.

The half-day Palo Maria hike with Curiel was such a unique experience and definitely a highlight of our trip. He did an amazing job guiding us through some pretty intense terrain. The mountain and waterfall views were stunning. He also is a super comfortable and entertaining person to converse with along the hike. It had the vibe of being with a close friend rather than a typical guided tourist attraction. I absolutely 10/10 recommend his hikes to people looking for something unique and off the beaten path while vacationing in PV. Especially if you want a quiet break away from the bar scene or want to get out and do something active. It’s probably worth mentioning that this particular hike was quite strenuous at times but you get rewarded with swimming breaks in beautiful clear water at the waterfall stops. We can’t wait to come back next year and bring some first timers along!

Curiel is truly an amazing person and loves what he does. Exploring nature and sharing his knowledge with his hikers. He picked us up from our Airbnb, he made us feel safe the whole time and truly knew the ins and outs of the trail. Next time we will choose one of the longer hikes to explore with Curiel. Highly recommend him to anyone wanting some outdoor adventure in puerto Vallarta.

This trip was fantastic! Curiel provided a unique experience with his expertise and brought us to multiple waterfalls. It was a moderately intense hike so I recommend for anyone who likes an adventure.

Curiel's hike to the falls was extraordinary, a definite highlight of my trip to PV. He's a super friendly guide and very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the jungle. After a super sweaty hike to the lookout, a dip in the pool at the waterfall was so refreshing and worth the effort. Note that if you are afraid of heights this may not be the hike for you. It is also rather strenuous (I'm 62 so younger people may not see it as strenuous at all). Wear shoes that have good treads and that you don't mind getting wet. 5 stars for Curiel!
