This was quite an experience!! Shame on us for thinking it wouldn't be a rough ride. (Hello...PVR has cobblestone roads!!). Edgar and Brian were great!! They both took care of us along the way!! They great personalities and customer service. Rancho Mi Abuelo was cool!! Just so you know...if your not in shape it could be a little difficult!
We had a great time on our mountain e-bike ride with Hugo. We appreciated his easy going style. We stopped on our ride and got to try a Mexican drink called pajarete with fresh goat milk. I like having new experiences so this was a welcome surprise. Lunch was good and the people at Rancho Mi Abuelo were very nice and accommodating. We wanted a fun way to get into the hills above Puerto Vallarta and this outing was perfect.
We did the Tacos and Tequila e-bike tour with Hugo and had the best day! Definitely a highlight of the trip! Hugo was the best guide, we made 3 taco stops and stopped at a leather shop and ceramic shop. Ended with a tequila tasting and jewelry shop. The ebikes were comfortable and we saw so much of the city! Highly recommend this tour!
This was a really fun tour! It was a great way to see Puerto Villarta and the nearby mountains. Because of the ebikes it did not have to be too strenuous. We ate lunch at "Mi Abuelos" The food was great, we cooled off in the river and the scenery was awesome! Our group had two guides. We felt totally safe (under normal political circumstances).
This was a great way to spend the day. It’s a nice way to get to see the city via E bike. We got to ride up into the mountains a bit. They are definitely not mountain trails but cobblestone roads that take you along a river to see some local spots beyond the typical tourist attractions. Hugo and Alan we’re very professional and wonderful to hang out with all day. I highly recommend the adventure. We were with a 65-year-old couple and they were able to handle the just fine.
Great e-bike tour with Hugo as our guide! Personable, knowledgeable and fun! Included three taco stops, tile factory, corn tortilla factory, leather shop and tequila tasting. Really enjoyable!
A really fun way to spend the day, our tour guide Alex was awesome, and the ride was a ton of fun!!!
This ebike adventure was our favorite guided experience in Puerto Vallarta! Hugo led our tour and was friendly, helpful and a great guide through the streets and backroads. Confidence in riding a bike is key to bring on this trip as you ride on cobblestones, dirt roads that go up and down, and on paths that have pedestrians. The restaurant destination was a treat--great food, service and unique atmosphere.
Hugo lead us on a great e-bike ride through the city and into the mountains. Wish we would have brought our swimsuits as the stop has river pools. Such a great morning.
Hugo was our guide, he was awesome! He was really friendly and fun. He was happy to answer any questions we had and made sure we made it up and down the mountains safely. We did some tequila and mezcal tastings and learned a lot about both drinks. There were bottles offered for sale after the tastings and we bought some more unique ones since we have nothing like it in Canada. The food at the ranch was also super tasty and there were a lot of friendly dogs and cats to pet! Our favourite cat was Bonita, she accompanied us on our tequila tastings. The e bike up the mountain and through the streets of Puerto Vallarta was a bit intimidating, but overall a ton of fun. I have very limited cycling experience and I was ok, but my legs got a little pumped after going up the mountain.
Best excursion we have ever done in Mexico! Our guide Hugo with Los Veranos Canopy was a fabulous guide. Okay you actually get to have a workout going up the mountain and not this easy little e-bike time. Beautiful surroundings as you get away from the city and the upper destination is totally in nature with natural pools along with local land owner/rancher selling tacos and drinks. I highly recommend this trip.
We had a great time. It was my 1st time on an E-bike and I really liked it. We did the Mountain Tour and it was no where near as hard as I expected. What brand of bikes do you use? I'm looking to get one myself.
We arrived at the location & Makel greeted us with a smile & was ready to get stated. He fitted us for our bikes, gave us instructions & we got started. We toured the city, ate good, swim in the jungle & did a tequila testing.
I highly recommend the mountain Ebike tour! This tour was better than my expectations. Our tour guide was Ivan and he was awesome! First he took us around the city, explaining the history of PV, as well as showing us iconic and scenic spots as we headed up and into the jungle. The jungle in the summertime is lush and green! I enjoyed the views and beautiful plants. The queso fundido and salsa at Rancho mi abuelo was delicious! Then back down the mountain learning yet more about PV. Ivan was friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. He always made sure we were good and comfortable. One of our favorite experiences! Thank you!
Amazing 10/10 Juan was an amazing tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. Would defiantly recommend , everything was dope!
It was an Amazing ride! Juan #1 was a great tour guide. He taught us so much about the city and birds we spotted along the way. Should have at least a medium level of confidence on an e-bike. 10/10
This experience was perfect for the fit adventurist. It was a long day of bumpy cobblestone street rides and hilly climbs beginning at 10am and ending at 4pm. Children under 12 should not try this. There was a short tutorial on how to use the bike and helmets were provided. Closed toed shoes are a must! We were able to see Vallarta and its small neighborhoods. No other way to see this much. By noon we were at the top of the mtn at a lovely restaurant that provided drinks and tequila tasting. Bring your wallet to buy flavored tequila that the hosts will drive down the hill for you. Another 30 minutes takes you to a restaurant that serves homemade everything. You will be hungry! There are small pools of water to cool off before your food arrives. The trip down the hill is quick but again super bumpy. If you have any neck or back issues this is not the trip for you. Try e-bikes somewhere else. We had a blast, hosts were super nice as well as the rest of the group (9 total) and the food was fantastic!
Great time on a e-bike tour. Juan #1 was awesome, friendly and informative! He took great care of us and led us throughout city of puerto Vallarta and the outskirts! Led us to a great lunch spot as well! Highly recommend!
Awesome tacos, super nice people I really enjoyed biking all around the town, the people were super nice and told us a lot of information
We had an awesome time on our ebike mountain tour! Juan was a great guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Part of the tour goes along the ocean and through the old part of Puerto Vallarta on cobblestone roads. It's bumpy but the fat tire bikes have front and seat shock absorbers. It's a very picturesque tour. Then the tour heads up a winding dirt road into the mountains to a beautiful ranch/restaurant. The food was authentic Mexican, delicious. And surprisingly reasonably priced! We occasionally stopped along the way and Juan would point out something of cultural significance. It was a great way to spend the morning/afternoon. We got some fresh air and exercise (not too exercise. The ebikes did most of the work!)
My wife and I did the Mountain bike trail excursion with Juan as our guide. The bikes were well maintained, and we were given excellent instruction in their use, as well as a few minutes to practice with the e-bike features. The initial ride is a tour through town, with stops for local history and water breaks. The ride up into the mountains is breathtaking! We saw tons of birds, including one very chatty green macaw in the wild. There was a lunch stop at Rancho mi Abuelo, with excellent snacks and the cutest baby cow ever. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Juan, our guide. He was incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable about local history, flora and fauna, and extremely nice. He made an already wonderful experience truly memorable.
Juan was our Tour guide to the mountain ride he took use first threw the old part of Puerto Vallarta along the Malecon and oceanfront. He was very informative on the history of some of the older buildings and points of interest. We then headed up into the hills behind Puerto Vallarta. Great scenery of the rural countryside and the local people and their local markets. Would highly recommend this trip with Juan, but for experienced writers only not for the Faint of heart due to the rough road conditions at times, specially in the mountains.
It was better than promised. Juan was the best guide. He is very informative and looked out for us very well. Juan is the best
Juan was awesome, very knowledgable and a fun guide. We got to see a good balance of historic Puerto Vallarta and the coastline, but then spent most of our time in the mountains. We finished up at the top of the mountain in a riverside oasis spot with great food and local Tequila. The e-bikes made it a fun but non-stenuous workout, and the slower-paced travel offered more time to appreciate the surroundings and local lifestyle of the city. Great trip, highly recommended if you're looking for a light workout with your sightseeing!
The bikes were in pretty bad shape, not surprising what they have to endure. But so bad that my partners bike seat would not stay locked in, I could only ride in sixth or seventh gear, which was exhausting and another bike had the battery die half way through, causing us to all wait about 30 minutes while a new battery was brought to us. I would also say the roads (both in town cobble and mountain dirt) are not made for e-bikes. What we saw was amazing and our tour guide did a great job, I just don’t think this is the best way to get around. I had bruises on my legs from the experience for quite some time after returning home.
Truly a impactful and immersive experience. We had Juan, a beautiful soul who was helpful and patient with us, a lone couple on the tour. Juan made sure we had a great experience taking us to many stops around PVR and taking pictures along the way. Besides the eBike adventure being a great and fun experience, the tacos, shopping, and culture was truly worth every penny. Would recommend without hesitation.
Ivan was a great guide. We appreciated not being pushed along and allowed to take everything in. The bikes were in good condition and we had no problems. The food selection and stops were great. The bike path lead us to Bucerias. Such a cute town. There were 4 of us and we all had such a great time. Muchos Gracias!
Ivan and Brian were EXCELLENT! They were very knowledgeable and helpful with everyone’s needs! Would highly recommend!
Amazing guide .. Juan was so knowledgeable and patient.. The place where we stopped and had lunch was amazing and stunning pools with the best service …
Great tour with a very attentive guide, Ivan. The route is challenging mainly due to local cobble and then dirt roads. Not a difficult physical undertaking due to robust electric bikes. Challenging only due to road conditions. Have an ice pack for your butt on return.
First of all, Juan & Brian were amazing tour guides. They made us feel safe navigating the roads and took great pride in their city. This adventure is a great way to see the city. Lots of unique streets to explore. It is rugged outing, so take your time to test your bike in the garage before taking off. Would definitely recommend runners, sunglasses, and proper outdoor gear as the mountain climb is dusty & muddy from all the quads & vehicles using that road. The cobblestone roads have lots of speed bumps and potholes so be prepared for a bumpy ride! Restaurant was tasty.
We had such a blast with Ivan!! It is something I would recommend for a family with teens. We had our 15 and 17 year old and they loved it.
The streets and roads are very steep in spots. Lots of fun if you are comfortable on a bike! Stay away from the front wheel drive bike- it is rather challenging on wet pavement and loose dirt.
Would not recommend for inexperienced e-bike riders. Difficult terrain bumpy, rocky, ruts and speed bumps make it a challenge. Guides were great. Bring your biking shorts.
This is a great tour if you’re fit and have some mountain biking experience. But not recommended otherwise. Ivan was an excellent and informative guide who lead us through varied, one-of-a-kind views of the area, making it one of the highlights of our week in PV. I would book this excursion again with the recommendation that the bikes be better maintained to better endure the fun but challenging terrain.
I would not recommend this tour to anyone! Where do I start! The tour started late. The lead tour guide was traveling so fast that he kept losing people along the route. We didn't go to any of these places that were listed in the description: "See the boardwalk, the municipal square, the Church of Guadalupe, Los Muertos Dock, Isla del Río Cuale, Gringo Gulch, and the House of Elizabeth Taylor." The main purpose was to get our group to the top of the mountain, as fast as they could, where the restaurant/bar is so people would buy liquor. While there, the guides were having to do repairs on most of the bikes. They also didn't have the proper tools to do the repairs. The bikes were in horrible condition and very poorly maintained! My brakes barely worked! Simply not safe! Several people in our group crashed and received minor injuries. 90% of this tour is on extremely rough roads and unimproved, steep atv type mountain roads. This is not a leisurely site seeing trip. We were traveling too fast to even see or enjoy the scenery. We were just trying to keep up and stay alive. Our group just wanted to get back to the office and get it over with. I regret going on this so called tour. I would not recommend it to anyone! This tour is not advertised as to what actually happens!
Great trip. Exceeded expectations. biked along the coast then up into the rainforest. Great guide, quality bikes. Charming lunch cafe along the river with great food and fun tequila tasting. Would recommend.
It was an adventure!!! A lot more bumpy than we expected but glad we did it and Hugo and Brian were awesome and patient
We’re so glad we booked this tour! It’s perfect for the outdoor enthusiasts and moderate cyclists to experience PVR in such a unique way. Hugo was our guide & insured our trip was memorable by taking us to all the best spots. He was thoughtful along the way and offered to take photos and video to help capture the moment. Rancho Mi Abuelo was full of water falls, fresh water pools for swimming, and some of the best authentic cuisine around. Tequila 322 literally has the best tequila in the world. Even if you don’t drink tequila you’re going to want to try theirs. Trust me! We couldn’t have asked for a better day. We highly recommend this guide and Hugo if you’re in PVR.
Had a great time on this bike tour! Hugo was so friendly and knowledgeable. He gave good instructions and let us know verbally and with hand signs every time there was a bump or we had to turn or slow down. He stopped to show us points of interest and he takes GREAT pictures to remember the activity by! The restaurant was in a beautiful spot and the food was very good. All in all we loved it! Thanks Hugo and team!
Hugo and Alex were awesome guides! Our e-bike tour started with a cruise through town, and then things got scenic as we climbed up the mountain. It was a bit of a challenge, but no worries, the e-bikes made it totally manageable. The best part? Reaching a mountaintop restaurant with epic views and delicious margaritas and lunch. We even got to do a tequila tasting and see how tortillas are made – so cool! The cobblestone roads were a bit rough, but the e-bikes made them a fun breeze. If you're looking for a fun way to explore Puerto Vallarta, this e-bike tour is the way to go!
Hugo was a great guide. Such a fun trip and wonderful stop at the top of the mountain! Everyone was so friendly and we got to see so much more of the country. Going up the river and seeing the life outside of the tourist area. Absolutely awesome!
The trip up the mountain was absolutely gorgeous and so much fun. The e bikes are really a great way to tour the city/ country side. The ranch/ restaurant at the top is beautiful and very delicious. The prices are affordable and most of the ingredients are produced at the ranch (cheese, chicken, eggs, tortilla, salsa, etc.) There are pools to cool off in and lots of area to explore with many plants and animals species to see. The trip back down to the city is really fun, it requires a bit of confidence and balance on the steeper parts, but hang on tight and enjoy the quick descent. Once back to the city we trekked through narrow alleys we otherwise never would have seen, and the last stop was at a lighthouse that we climbed and had an amazing view of the entire coastline. Alex, our tour guide, was actually the best part of the entire experience. He is very attentive and ready to help out with anything you need. He has great information about the city and surrounding areas. Overall, I would highly reccomend this tour. There was never a moment that I didn't feel safe and secure. Our trip was filled with laughs, and jokes, beautiful scenery and a great workout with a wonderful down to earth tour guide.
We had an amazing time! It was about a 13 miles bike run but with the electric bike, it made it very easy. Alexander was a awesome guide and Mckay was also very helpful. Would recommend to all friends and family!
Hugo was awesome! We had such a great time seeing the country side of PV. The E Bikes can be as easy or challenging as you want, and without a lot of mountain biking experience they were easy and fun to ride. We have been coming to PV for almost 2 decades and had t yet saw the places we got to go on this tour. Beautiful ride following the river up the mountain.
Really fun tour! Friendly and helpful guide ☺️ the break at the top of the mountain was super nice and refreshing too. Definitely recommend.
Fantastic trip!! Our guide was Hugo! He did an awesome job at keeping everyone together and safe. So worth it!!!!!
I like to think I’m a fairly adventurous middle aged woman. I read reviews of this tour prior to booking and really wasn’t concerned about my ability to participate, the minimum age to ride was listed as 8. Caveat, I’ve never ridden a fat tire bike nor have I ridden an “accelerated” e-bike. This contributed to my disappointing experience. The ride starts fairly tame, well marked street bike paths. Boardwalk was quiet so that went well too. Then the challenges began. Narrow, cobblestone, traffic riddled streets with room for only 1 car at a time. Add numerous speed bumps and my anxiety was high. We had a small group and it was near impossible to stay together when some got stopped by traffic. Once we got to the “mountain” portion of the ride there were different challenges, dirt roads (to be expected) but very rutted and easy to lose balance. I never felt like I was totally in control of my bike. The time at the ranch was nice, food was good, tastings and demonstrations were enjoyable too. But, to be honest I was kind of focused on the fact we still had to get back to our starting point! The guide was wonderful, the itinerary was good, I guess I just underestimated my ability to tackle two new features on a bike. If I had brought kids (8 and older) I would’ve been a wreck. Bottom line, just be realistic about your comfort level on all the various terrains and traffic with that type of bike. I know several friends that would’ve loved it, just not for me.
Views were amazing, food was even better. Tequila tasting was great. Alex our tour guide was phenomenal and really cared about the group, helping everyone along the way. Omar was great too but unfortunately had bike problems. The battery lasted the whole trip. Was a decently easy ride but the majority of in town riding was cobblestone so be prepared and bring a seat cushion!
