If you like mezcal and tequila, you may like this tour. Guide talked way too fast, so it was difficult to absorb the differences between mezcal etc. The food was excellent. Wish we were given a map or list of places we visited.

Everything was amazing. We’ve been back to most of the places we went on the tour. It was great to do this at the beginning of our trip so we were able to go back to places we really enjoyed. Our tour guide Gio was amazing as well. Super friendly, knowledgeable and engaging.
I'd already done the afternoon Mexology tour and was pleased that this one didn't repeat any of the stops. That was something I'd wondered about before taking both. Bernardo was my guide, and I'd actually been out with him on the road tour earlier that same day. We met in 5 de Diciembre for the evening tour, which included tacos along with the bars. I liked having two different versions of the cocktail tour to choose from. The afternoon one was in Old Town; this booking gave me a separate night out, with a completely different set of places.
Nobody else booked, so I got Gio to myself for the tour! I appreciated that they didn't cancel just because I was the only person. We spent about four hours on the tour, trying tequila and mezcal as well as pulque and raicilla. I'd already done a couple of food tours, so it was fun to spend an afternoon on drinks instead. This one starts at three, which worked well for an afternoon outing that continued into the evening. I booked their other Mexology tour too, but on a different day. There was plenty of time for both during my trip. I highly recommend this!!!
Gio was such a great tour guide! We were able to visit so many fun places try good food try some drinks I’ve never even heard of before. Everyone in our group had such a great time. it was very interactive and entertaining. Highly recommended
Gio was an amazing tour guide who knew the area well and took us to some delicious spots. His knowledge of the history and how different cultures shape each other’s food culture was very interesting. Even in the pouring rain we had a wonderful time!
Sylvia was a great guide. She took us to all the good spots for tacos and drinks. All the cocktails were yummy and we even got some tequila/mezcal shots. She was friendly and sweet. She knows when to have us talk among themselves and when to gather us all to the next spot. Bring a hand fan since certain restaurants won't have AC in PV. It is very common - so be prepared!
Fantastic experience, Geo was an amazing guide, and shared so much about the local culture and food history. Highly recommend!
We went as a group of three travel friends. The tour itself is a great chance to see a stretch of old town and find some hidden treasures. The chosen restaurants were muy excellente! They made accomodations for vegetarian/diary free/seafood free individuals. The tour guide was fabulous; knowledgeable and friendly! The drinks were varied and delicious. You cannot go wrong choosing this tour! A must do excursion.
Silvia is an amazing guide! She has a fun upbeat personality—you can tell she is passionate about Puerto Vallarta culture and the food. She also gave us recommendations for tequila tastings. All the restaurants in the tour are excellent. We even went back to 2 of the places to dine in during our stay there.
Miel was such an amazing tour guide! She made us feel very comfortable and she took very good care of us. She made sure to ask us for any dietary restrictions and she took care of letting the restaurants know our preferences for food and drinks which allowed us to relax and enjoy our tour. She was very knowledgeable about all of the drinks and food that were presented to us and their history. She had so many amazing stories to tell throughout the tour which helped make our experience even better. I cannot recommend this tour enough especially with her, she was simply the best! It was a great mix of delicious food and drinks, cool facts, and amazing history. I really recommend this tour if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and cocktails!
This tour was amazing with Gio! He was a friendly guide and very knowledgeable during the entire tour! So many great stops for drinks and food and the walking between places was perfect so you never felt overwhelmed by food or drink!
Gio was a great guide. We really appreciate the knowledge about the food and area. Thank you for a great time.
Great tour, with amazing food and drinks. Our tour guide Miel was super nice and knowledgeable. Definitely a lot of food and drink and you will be stuffed bu the end. Definitely recommend great for all types of groups.
Gio was awesome. It was our second time on this tour and we loved it both times. Gio was very knowledgeable about the area.
Eric was awesome. Good food. Great beverages. Highly recommend.
Really good food and drinks. Lots of good info on Mexican culture and PVR. The tour guide kept everyone interested!
It was a great tour. I would have like the first restaurant last as they provided the cold towels. Knowledge of history of food and drinks was amazing. Disappointed churro stand was closed.
If you're thinking about doing a taco and tequila tour in Puerto Vallarta, book this one—you won't regret it! Gio was hands down the best tour guide we could have asked for. The tour was incredibly well thought out, taking us on a great walk through Puerto Vallarta with a perfect mix of local history, culture, amazing tacos, and incredible tequila. We loved that the stops ranged from delicious street tacos to beautiful upscale restaurants, giving us a true taste of the city. Gio was knowledgeable about everything—from the food and tequila to the history of Puerto Vallarta—and shared interesting stories throughout the tour. He also made sure everyone stayed comfortable, hydrated, and taken care of, and I appreciated that the route was planned to start and finish in air conditioning (a thoughtful touch after walking in the heat!). Beyond being a fantastic guide, Gio is genuinely a wonderful person who made the entire experience fun and welcoming. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, and I would highly recommend both this tour and Gio to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. Five stars!
Miel was our guide. It couldn’t have been better. Miel does an amazing job blending history of certain drinks and food with a fun atmosphere. When visiting PV, it’s a must do tour.
My family and I enjoyed this tour so much! The drinks were perfect and refreshing and I'll be thinking about the tacos for a lifetime. Our guide, Roberto was so friendly and informative. Wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella or poncho if you're traveling in the rainy season. It does shower briefly and periodically but nothing to keep you from this experience. I cannot say enough great things about this company and will definitely book another tour on my next trip to Puerto Vallarta.
Gio was out guide and he was amazing!!! The tacos were all absolutely delicious. I loved that he brought us to some upscale places and some small family businesses. There was also plenty of tequila!! We left feeling buzzed and full of tacos. I 100% recommend this taco tour. It was also nice to hear about some history from Gio as we went through the tour. 10/10!!!
Can't believe I haven't written a review for my second tacos and tequilas food tour until now! We went back to Vallarta in December and knew we had to introduce the family to the T&T tour. It was, unsurprisingly, fantastic. Our guide Gio was so knowledgeable and fun. The grilled cactus tacos I'd been dreaming about since February were on the menu again, and we found a few new places to visit after this second tour. I cannot recommend starting your PV trip off with this tour enough -- even if you've already done it! Each experience was different and there were enough changes to the visits that it often felt like a brand new tour. It's the best way to get your bearings in the city's best local joints. Hope to be back soon to visit your wonderful city! Xoxo
It is a walking tour rain or shine. You get to experience lots of different foods and tequilas. Would definitely do this tour again. Gio was FABULOUS!
Absolutely loved this tour! Gio is very knowledgeable and made everything so easy and fun. Would def recommend and would for sure do it again.
This was our second time doing a mexology tour, some repeats but also some new stops. Great food, great company, and a great time. The whole thing is structured so you end with a full belly and a taste of some fare you’d probably never try on your own . Highly recommend!! Silvia was a blast!
This tour was amazing! Our guide, Gio, was so knowledgeable about tequila and took us to places we would never have known about if he would not have taken us there. Great food, great drinks and an all around tour that is a must do!
We ate some yummy tacos and drank some great drinks with tequila!! Great job by Gio taking us around.
Miel is truly an exceptional guide — not only in teaching us so much about the history and creation of mezcal, tequila, and raicilla (IYKYK!) and more, but in so much more about the history of food and drink and other fun and thought provoking tidbits about Puerta Vallarta and Mexico. She was absolutely wonderful and made this a beyond spectacular experience - I cannot recommend this enough.
Our tour guide was fantastic! He joked about 2nd best but we say 1st. All the vendors were amazing. Food and drink authentic and delicious.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and mixology tour we took in February 2026. Our guide, Edger, was outgoing, professional, knowledgable and so much fun. We were part of a small group, all were friendly. We visited several different restaurants and a few taco stands. The tour was on foot, which allowed us to see parts of PV. We had the opportunity to experience several different kinds of tacos and alcoholic beverages that complemented the tacos. The tacos and beverages were delicious and the portions were so generous, we didn’t need to eat dinner. We plan to return to PV and will take this tour again! Five stars to Edgar and this well put together tour!! ❤️
Our tour guide was mial. She was absolutely amazing! And the stops were absolutely amazing! If you are on the fence of trying this tour! Do it! And do it in the beginning of your trip!
Just wow!!! Our guide was Erik and he was awesome...we went to 7 different locations, restaurants and one was a street stand. At each place we got a drink, most we had a shot and also taco's!!! So much food and drink! But it was incredible, we walked away from the tourist areas (but not too far) and felt like we were experiencing the local vibe and food! And the explanations of what we were eating was great too. Definitely a wonderful tour... make time for this!
Similar to many food and tequila tours, as most go to the same locations. However, there are different items ordered during most tours. -Makes ya wonder if those business have some skin in the game lol. What really made the tour great was the host. Thank you very much!
This was a great tour with a guide that was well versed in the food history of Mexico. The food was amazing!!
Gio, our guide, was fantastic. An informative, enthusiastic and awesome guy! We were treated to outstanding local cuisine and tequila varieties.
Our guide was Edgar and he was exceptional! He brought us to several locally owned vendors/restaurants for their food/drinks and they were outstanding. Edgar also shared fun facts and the history of mezcal and tequila. We were impressed with his knowledge, wit, and overall great personality. We highly recommend this tour and ask for Edgar! You will not be disappointed.
Me and my girls had an amazing time with Gio! Fantastic drinks, good stories and tacos to die for. I especially liked the blue corn tortilla. So yummy!!
Gio was an incredible tour guide! We learned so much about the history of mezcal and tequila while enjoying amazing food at some true hidden gems. Highly recommend!
Excellent guide, Erik, fantastic food & drink. Can’t recommend highly enough!!! Come hungry! Did the tour with my wife.
Silvia was amazing! She had a great knowledge of the food and drink, which were also amazing! Even threw In a shaved ice shop!
We have done similar tours in Cancun and Cozumel, but this was the best by far!!! Our guide was so knowledgeable, the food and drinks were sooo good!! Full size cocktails at each stop. Not a criticism, just a suggestion, but if we were given business cards at each one would have been nice. We’d love to return to a few but have no idea where they were. Great fun!!
Walking tour that allows you to experience the real culture of the city. Highlighted by details on the tequila industry and foods of the region.
It was fantastic and Erik was super knowledgeable. Would have loved to learn how to make the drinks, but that’s what will keep us coming back again and again. The tacos were delicious. Definitely worth the price! Highly recommended 🥰🇲🇽🌮
Edgar was an amazing guide. The places he took us to were unique. The food and cocktails were delicious. We definitely got our money’s worth
We've done this tour previously and it's always been a great time. Good cocktails and stops at places we would not have gone to on our own.
This tour is a must for food lovers. Book this for your first day in PV. Bernardo's tour takes you around the Romantica Zone eating and drinking at 5-8 locations. He also points out sites along the way like murals, plazas, local artists and interesting flora. He provides you with a map so you can find your way back for more later too. We tried things that we expected, like excellent pastor, but also things I had never heard of, like mame at the pulqueria. He is an informative, jovial and entertaining host who provides information on how the dish or drink is made, but also cultural and historical context. I will definitely book another tour with him when we come back.
Edgar was an excellent guide! He had so much knowledge about the food, drinks, history and recommendations. Overall a great experience. We were just a tiny bit disappointed it didn’t include more tequila and mezcal tastings in lieu of so many mixed drinks.
Edgar was awesome and full of knowledge; the experience was really fun and we learned so much about the history and culture of mezcals and tacos. There was the perfect balance of drinks, food and the time spent at each spot; everything was delicious, and we definitely walked away full and tipsy.
Silvia was amazing, fun, inclusive and kind. We had the best 4 hours laughing, tasting and learning…. Plus we made new friends. Great experience
