Finca 18 Puerto Vallarta Tequila Tour + Chocolate Pairing

This tour was absolutely amazing from the moment Carlos picked us up to when he dropped us off back home. Alex led the tour with expertise making sure we enjoyed every step of the way. The grounds were beautiful and more so knowing the depth of family history. The tastings paired with chocolate was a great experience!

Had a great time and learned so much in the 2 hr tour. Alex was excellent host and very educated in the tequila industry. We were beyond impressed with the whole experience. The “in house”driver (Carlos) made our trip back to the hotel very enjoyable. He knows so much about the area and very helpful on finding knew places to visit.

Absolutely wonderful guide Alex. Very knowledgable and engaging. Very comprehensive description of the process. 10/10 Excellent chocolates, enjoyed the tequila sampling. There was just the two of us and Alex still gave a full awesome tour! There was no dehydrated healthy snacks made at their ranch. Nor was there cooked agave from their ovens that was advertised (was looking forward to this). Guacamole and chips were excellent. Staff were so kind and helpful finding us a ride home, Thank you!!

Everything was outstanding! Carlos was an awesome driver and knowledgeable conversaltionalist. And Alex who gave the tour was just as outstanding and also extremely knowledgeable about tequila, the distilling process and the history of Finca and its founder, Greg. We had a great private tour. Carlos picked us up from the hotel and was so friendly. He suggested things for us to do and pointed out local spots while driving and sharing stories. Alex was our host and he was great. He led us on a tour and talked us through the process of making tequila. The tasting was amazing the chocolates were delicious! It was a beautiful property and relaxing afternoon. Would highly recommend.

The visit to Finca 18 was wonderful! Alex and Emily were both wonderful guides and we learned a lot about the agave growing and tequila distilling processing. The tasting and chocolate pairing were wonderful and a great value.

This was the best tour I've taken. We had their driver - Carlos pick us up from PV. He was friendly and chatted with us the entire ride. Finca 18 is beautiful. The tasting room/distillery was massive and gave us an excellent location to 1st learn, see and then sip. Alex, our host was amazing: he was extremely knowledgeable about the entire tequila making process. He was alot of fun to learn from. And then the sipping. That was also a great time. Each tequila was sipped from a different vessel and paired with chocolates, allowing you to experience different aspects. I love that each tequila had it's own story - even sad ones. This place could have been a retreat on its own. And Luna & Chino - you've got to go pet them. I have a lot of pictures, but don't want to ruin the experience for someone else.

This tequila tour and tasting was fabulous!! The finca grounds are absolutely stunning as soon as you drive in. Our table was set and ready for us with beautiful, traditional glassware. Our tour guide Alex was so warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. His passion for the tequila making process and finca lifestyle is so lovely and endearing. He is truly bilingual and did an outstanding job giving our tour in English so everyone in our group could understand. We all came away with a deeper understanding of the process of making an agave distillate, the aging process and each of the spirits we tasted were amazing! We also LOVED the fine chocolate pairings, we are chocolate lovers and have never had any chocolates like the ones presented in the tasting. We had a great time tasting the tequilas and combining them with the chocolates. 11/10 experience. Thank you Finca 18!!

Fina 18 was such an amazing experience! My husband and I were visiting the area and had always wanted to do a true agave spirits tour, not just a tasting, but an actual tour where we could learn about the process from start to finish. Fina 18 absolutely did not disappoint; it was even better than we expected! The farm was beautiful, and we loved getting to experience the farm while learning so much about agave spirits and the many different forms they can take. We enjoyed welcome drinks and tastings with a chocolate pairing, which was such a fun touch! Our guide happened to be Greg, the distiller himself, and what a treat it was to spend the day learning from him. His knowledge and passion really made the experience special. Everyone at Fina 18 was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even helped us arrange transportation back to our hotel. That level of hospitality really stood out. We would definitely recommend Fina 18 to anyone interested in learning more about agave spirits, experiencing a beautiful farm, and getting away from the city for a memorable day. We left feeling like we had learned so much and had an incredible experience along the way!

Fantastic tour and dialog. The chocolate pairings with the agave spirits were legit game-changers. ¿Pechuga? Sooo tasty. Alex, or guide and agave docent for the day was engaging and knowledgeable. He makes things fun. Carlos, our driver had cool stories about the areas we drove through on the way and was an excellent driver. Friends of ours who had visited Finca 18 previously told us "this is the one" (agave spirits tour to take). Now I'm letting you know, this is the one!

Educational and fun experience. It is a beautiful location far from the tourist areas and feels relaxing and spiritual. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly and spent time getting to know us and what we wanted to learn and see. An excellent way for both newcomers and veterans to learn anbout and see and taste agave spirits. I will absolutely do this again next time I am in town.

It was one of the most delightful experiences we’ve ever had as a family! Alex, our tasting guide, was fantastic at explaining each pour and sharing the fascinating history of the family and their tequilas. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the dog guides were a lot of fun, acting as our personal tour guides. If you’re a fan of quality distilleries, I highly recommend the tasting and buying some of the different tequilas, mezcal, and raicilla.

We had the best time on our tour at Finca 18. We’ve been coming to Puerto Vallarta for almost two decades and had never done a tequila tour before. The grounds are very beautiful. Our guide and tour guide dogs were fantastic and very informative. We learned so much about mezcals and tequilas. We got to talk with the owner, who is very clearly passionate about agave spirits. The tasting was a fun experience, and the chocolate pairing was delicious. The quality of the tequilas was impressive. We had a large group of 8 and booked the private transport- it was the most comfortable ride we’ve ever had in Mexico. We plan to come back the next time we come to Puerto Vallarta, and, in the meantime, will enjoy our bottles that we took home. This would be a great experience for families (as long as you’re of drinking age), friends, couples.

This was one of the best experiences I've had in Mexico! The property was beautiful, the people were so friendly and knowledgeable, and the tastings were phenomenal. The luxury tour was definitely worth the price. I could've spent much longer there than the couple of hours that the tour ran.

My second time and it was even better than the first. Emily is exceptional at what she does. I say this as someone who also works at a distillery and has done the tour/explanation concept. I also appreciated the small cake on hand for me as it was my birthday. I signed up for the membership and it’s great to know that you ship within Mexico so I will be in Loreto next year to receive my bottles 😆

Amazing experience Alex and Emily were fantastic hosts! The farm is beautiful and the dogs are so sweet, made me miss my dogs even more back home! Now the chocolate and drink pairings were out of this world! It is out of the tourist area which is why we chose this tour and we were not disappointed. We have been to multiple tequila tastings and this is by far one of my favorites! If you are thinking about trying this just stop and DO IT 🩷

Emily and Alex made our experience not only educational but so much fun. We had no idea how good agave spirits could be! Lola (one of the beloved dogs on property) also guided us the entire time. Shout out to all of them! Thanks for a great day and if you are reading this TAKE THE TOUR! They will even coordinate transportation for you! We had 10 people and the van was on time and ready for all of us.

This tour is a little out of the way which is why we wanted to do it to have more of an authentic local experience! If you are on the fence of doing this, do it!!!!

Finca 18 was an amazing experience for my husband and myself. We had a private tour with the owner in June 2026. There is so much history there and the learning experience and information was top-notch. The tasting was extremely well done and all of their tequilas are fabulous.!! Highly recommend

Amazing tour of their lovely agave farm with in-depth detail about the process of making agave spirits. Very knowledgeable during the tasting and we were welcomed with a lovely welcome drink. It’s worth the drive out to see them.

What a perfect visit! From our first greeting to our last goodbye's the time spent at Finca 18 was relaxing, informative and fun. Exactly what we wanted for an excursion with friends. The paired tasting was very well done and made all of us feel special. I will be telling all of my friends about our experience.

Our visit to Finca was amazing and one of the best our group has experienced. From finding the website and inquiring about a private tour and tasting along with transportation the process was super easy. Payment made and then we just had to wait for our cruise. On the morning we arrived in port and had been emailed our drivers info, we met him at the van and he drove us the 50 minute to the venue. The Venue is amazing, sprawling acres of grass, growing agave, open air tasting area! We were met at the van by our guide Emily and the resident dogs! What a treat! We were given a welcome cocktail and then started our tour of the venue. Like I said it is an amazing place to walk around and experience! Then back to the main area for our tasting that consisted of some FRESH guacamole, 6 Agave Spirits and matched chocolates. The tasting came with a history lesson about tequila/agave spirits as well as a great history of the distillery. We finished our day off with an amazing hand crafted margarita before hopping back in the van to head back to port. This place is NOT TO BE MISSED!

Emily and Alex were so friendly and knowledgeable about all things tequila and tequila making. Got a personal tour of the property and the full process from start to finish. Tequila, chocolate and guides were all great. Learned a lot but also had a fun time. Would recommend going for a unique take on a tequila tour.

We loved Finca 18! The grounds are beautiful! Our guide, Emily, was very informative in both explaining and showing the process in making tequila. She answered questions we had. After touring the grounds it was time for tasting! Alex took over at this point and talked about the different tequilas and the proper way to partake. We did purchase some tequila. I highly recommend visiting!

I have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for many years and this was the first tequila tour I have taken. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived at the expansive estate. The setting was very idyllic and Alex, our tour operator, did an amazing job informing us of the history of tequila/mezcal as well as the distillery. He made the tastings with various mezcals and chocolate enjoyable and non-pretentious. It was surprising to me how much I enjoyed this tour. It was definitely well worth the hour drive from Zona Romantica and I would highly recommend it.

They greet you with a cocktail to enjoy on your tour of the ranch. This was a great tour, very informative in how tequila is made and all the different types. The tasting and the end was perfect.

I just have to say, this agave spirit tasting in Puerto Vallarta was absolutely incredible! We were a group of 7 in town for a bachelorette, and from the moment we arrived, Alex and Emily made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and such a joy to talk to, and Emily was so friendly, passionate, and engaging. If you’re a native English speaker, you’ll have no trouble at all! They explained everything clearly and answered all of our questions with ease. The farm itself felt magical, with rescue dogs running around that they have taken in and cared for. It added a special touch to the experience (especially for those of us who missed our pets while we were away!) Everything about the tour felt professional and thoughtfully done. The tastings were out of this world, especially paired with unique local crafted chocolates we had never experienced before. SO so good! It was also 100% worth the 45 minute drive from our resort. They even have a cute little gift shop in a converted bus where you can grab souvenirs! Five stars and highly recommend! Do not skip this tour if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience with your family and friends in Puerto Vallarta.

We had a great time with Alex and Emily learning about how their agave spirits are made, getting to see the process in action, and then tasting some of the spirits, paired with chocolates. It was informative and delicious. A bit out of the way, but we really enjoyed it.

My wife and I had an incredible time on the Tequila Tour and Chocolate Pairing!! We have done our share of brewery/distillery tours before and this tour was up there with the best of them! The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, and excited to share all the details behind the process of creating tequila. It seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves as there was one other tour wrapping up when we arrived. After the tour we had a bit of time before our ride arrived, so we were able to relax and discuss cocktails, spirits, and ideas with the staff while we waited. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in tequila or looking for an authentic local experience!

Finca 18 was excellent. Emily was our guide around the property and the process of making their spirits. Alex was our tasting expert. Both were awesome - very knowledgeable, friendly and very engaging. Emily was even able to secure us a ride back to our hotel after as it’s a bit of a trek out of town. The property was gorgeous, very well kept and everyone working was friendly and hard working. Thank you Emily and Alex for a great experience. We will be back for sure! Wonderful Uber ride from Nuevo Vallarta to Finca18 and the grounds and building were beautiful. Our guide Emily was very knowledgeable and answered our questions thoroughly. The distillery processes several types of tequila and we saw how each one is made. We splurged for the deluxe tour and we were so happy we did. Tequilas were AMAZING - all of them! Highly recommend.

We had a great experience at Finca 18. I went with my two boys, and all of us really enjoyed it. The facility is excellent, and the tour was the perfect length, informative without feeling too long. It gave us a clear understanding of the different types of agave spirits and the different methods of production. The tasting itself was a highlight. They offered a great range and guided us through it in a way that was easy to follow and engaging. The chocolate pairing was a nice touch, and the snacks were a hit with my boys. We came away with a much better understanding and appreciation for what goes into each bottle. If you’re in the area and even mildly interested in tequila or other agave spirits, this is well worth your time.

An amazing experience! Emily provides an exceptional tour of the distillery, explaining everything in detail, with a lot of passion. Alex led the tasting experience and was great, knowledgeable and entertaining. Left with a fantastic bottle of their Reposado. Definitely worth the trip outside of PV.

Fantastic tour and experience! We really enjoyed our tour led by Emily as she guided us through the beautiful plantation showing us how Agave is harvested and the multistep process of making Tequila. Then on to the tasting led by Alex of all of the delicious Tequila paired with local chocolate. We will definitely be back again next time!

Getting to Finca 18 was quite the adventure. We got an Uber from the Romantica Zone, travelled across PV to get onto the highway heading north towards Finca 18. There was a road construction detour on a dirt road. After about an hour we finally arrived! Out driver offered to wait until our 2 hour tour was finished, he said no taxi or Uber would probably come out there. We were greeted by Alex, who gave us an informative tour of the farm, how the agave was grown, harvested, processed and turned into tequila. From there Emily took over and gave us samples to taste and pairings with local crafted chocolate. Finca 18 is a small and young distillery, so not very large batches are produced. Very artisanal but good quality.
