For starters, I bought the cheapest ATV tour I could find (even though my boyfriend told me not to) and we got what we paid for. Anna, the reception/instructor woman was late and didn’t give us a heads up. She spoke very poor English and really fast Spanish so understanding the instructions was very hard and I didn’t feel prepared to start the tour. The equipment was old and not well taken care of - it was hard to find a helmet that even fit my boyfriend. It felt like her main priority was preventing liability instead of keeping us safe. There was even an envelope hanging up of “blacklisted bad customers” which was unsettling. All that said, once we started the tour we had a great time. Pati, the ATV guide was lovely and kind and gave us a great experience. I really enjoyed being up in the mountains, riding the ATV and getting to see more neighborhoods of PV than I otherwise would have. The tequila tasting was fun and worth it but just know you will have to spend money there for a drink and at the swimming place as well. There is also a guy on a motorcycle that we were not informed of who came and took pictures of us and then offered to sell all of them to us for 1,000 pesos or none at all. We declined because we didn’t want to pay that much, but he was very pushy and tried to negotiate multiple times before leaving. Overall, I would recommend booking with another company that has more included and is more professional.
This was my first time operating a ATV! Worth Every Dime! Great tour guide - hate I forgot his name!!
Unfortunately, we had the worst experience of our lives while on tour with COOL RENTALS & TOURS. The ATV provided to us was malfunctioning and stopped on us 4 times. We mentioned the issue to the tour leader, but nothing was done to fix the issue. Angel was the most disrespectful guide we have ever encounter in our travels, he used a racist comment towards our nationality and used foul language, he was so upset and disrespectful that we were truly afraid for our safety. Our safety was compromised on the way back from the tour; Angel was speeding and he put our lives in danger. When we returned to the office Angel continued to scream, disrespect, and used foul language in the presence of Anita, the other tour leader and customers.
We had a fantastic time. Thank you for the unforgettable memories and experience!
Awesome experience cruising through the streets and up into the mountains. Everyone there is great and the restaurant is amazing.
They were wonderful and made sure we were safe! Angel is Awesome!! I worked definitely recommend!!!!
I would never recommend this company to anybody. Please save your money and go to the company right next door to them instead (they will actually want your business there and treat you with kindness). We dealt with Anita who was completely rude and was unable/unwilling to accommodate our large group of 11 after booking online. She’ll likely respond to this by saying that we are lying (as I saw some responses on other bad reviews) but I recorded our interactions for proof. Anita was trying to overcharge us and even the guide seemed surprised about why she was trying to charge us so much or why she wouldn’t take out any more atvs to accommodate our group. She didn’t seem to care at all and relied on the fact that since we booked through TripAdvisor, that we wouldn’t get out money back. She told us so herself. Absolute waste of our time and money but thankfully the company next door was able to turn our day around and we ended up having a great day, even after Anita trying to scam us for more money.
Avoid this place for a tour! My booking was for 7 double ATVs which was confirmed in my reservation, upon arrival Anita tried to say it was only for 7 people and that they didn’t have any ATVs to accommodate our large group. However, the tour guide (Angel who was GREAT and respectful) would continue ask her if he should take out more ATV but then she would turn to us and say she had no more. Anita was very disrespectful and only wanted us to pay another $500 for a razor ( which she was up charging since we spoke English). If you have a large group GO NEXT DOOR THEY ARE SO MUCH BETTER. If Anita would have been more accommodating and respectful we would have stayed but she was rude. Bad service over all!
What an incredible experience! This was hands down one of the highlights of our Puerto Vallarta vacation. As a mom traveling with two adult teenage boys and their friends, I always want to find activities that are exciting, safe, and memorable—and this ATV tour exceeded every expectation. The staff was so warm, welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely cared that everyone had a great time. The ride through the jungle was absolutely beautiful, and we loved exploring parts of the forest we never would have experienced on our own. Stopping by the river to enjoy a delicious meal while listening to the peaceful sounds of the water made the adventure even more special. A special shout-out to the photographer, who did an amazing job capturing the adventure! The action shots of us splashing through the water were incredible and perfectly captured the excitement of the ride. Those photos will definitely be some of our favorite vacation memories. The best part? As soon as we got back in the taxi to head to our resort, the kids couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had—the ATV ride, the jungle trails, the scenery, the delicious food, and the overall adventure. Hearing them relive their favorite moments made this experience priceless for me. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a fun, safe, and unforgettable adventure. We made memories we’ll be talking about for years, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta!
Such a great adventure. My tour guide was Angel. He was awesome. Carefully and fully explained the itinerary. Went over the safety rules and how to use the ATV. The ride was so great. Amazing views. The tequila tasting was good. A nice break. The pools at the last stop was refreshing. Much recommend taking this tour. And ask for Angel if you can.
Our tour guide Angel was great. Very funny and welcoming. Bring cash for drinks & snacks at the restaurant where you’ll swim. A scenic drive there and back 10/10 recommend
The worst ATV rental ever I tried, cool rentals are fraud people just trying to make money from others by risking customers life, they send bikes in between and customers will loose control while they pass
Had a great time! Our tour guide was great! Highly recommend!
This was a really great ATV trip. Guides were super fun! ATVs were newer and in great condition. A photographer went along with us so we got a really great suvenire photo album and video at a great price! The tequila bar tasting was fun and we did buy a few bottles to go which they packed up for us and had waiting for us at the end. The restaurant we stopped at was great! We had a delicious lunch and a quick dip in the natural pools.
It was a great experience overall. The tour guides, Angel and the girl leader were really fun and cool. This is a good activity to do while in PV that isn’t related to the beach. You get to see the sierra and other side of PV. The tequila tasting was a lot of fun! The staff was all about safety which was incredibly important for our group. The only downside is that they do have their photographers so they sell their photos as packages and that was expensive so we didn’t get it and they didn’t sell the group picture we wanted but that’s okay we understand the hustle. Overall recommend! Thank you!
We absolutely loved our time spent riding ATVs with Angel. He was a great guide who took us along a fun route which led us along city streets, and eventually into the jungle and the mountains. We stopped and did a tequila tasting, and had lunch at a delicious restaurant with the option for a refreshing swim in a natural watering hole. It was pretty easy to get the hang of driving the ATV too which was an initial concern of mine. Our ride was the perfect length, definitely felt like we got our money’s worth. Tip, the fewer bags and items you bring the better as there isnt really much room to store things on the ATV. Lastly, bring sunscreen, you’ll be in the sun a lot and will need to reapply.
This was a reasonably priced tour. We previously have toured with Estigo Tour group and I although it was decent, it didn’t quite measure up. I’m not a fan of the obligatory tequila tasting (seems they all offer this). The lunch was good but we were warned to check prices and told they wouldn’t charge the 50 pesos per person if we ordered drinks/food, but this was not the case. There was a hefty “tip” added to the bill at the restaurant. The tour started quite late. The guide Angel was excellent and we felt safe on the tour with a blocker on the way there. The photos offered at the end were nice enough but I don’t need that many photos of myself where my face is fully covered with a bandana and googles. Overall a decent experience for the price.
This trip was the highlight of our vacation. Our guide took such great care of us. The tequila tasting was really fun and the food at the restaurant afterwards was delicious. Fast, fun, and safe!!!!!
Great day. Fun adventure with tequila tasting and lunch by the waterfall!
The tour guide was excellent! His English was well and easy to understand. It was very fun. Please be aware of the speed bumps. Not suggested for people with bad backs.
Gonzalo was awesome!! We absolutely loved our tour! It was gorgeous and so so much fun! The dirt roads and the vibe was through the charts. Thank you so much Gonzalo for this ride! The one thing I wouldnt get too cought up about is the tequila tour. It's fine, but don't waste your money one the bottle they sell. Have a margarita at the bar instead and enjoy the tasting but move on. You can get way better tequila elsewhere at stores. That said, the passion fruit margarita is awesome. Other than that, I recomend 10/10. We saw cows on the road which we thought was cool, birds, views, and a nice little plunge on the hill at the restaurant uphill. We didnt eat at the restaurant as we prefer street food and more rustic experience foodwise in this country, but it seemed fine. It was also the afternoon when we went so we werent very hungry. Thanks again Gonzalo ! You were absolutely prefect as our tour guide and we hope ithers get to enjoy your company as much as we did.

Our tour was scheduled from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Although the operators staff arrived early, the shop don’t unlock the front door until exactly 10:00. After filling out release of liability forms we waited inside the shop until almost 10:40 as the guide was late. Scenery was great and the quads were decent. Tequila stop for tasting had the owner selling $1,000 pesos bottles. Lunch was not included but we were taken to a beautiful restaurant in the mountains. Lunch was about $600 pesos and they wouldn’t accept your credit card unless you provided ID and they recorded drivers licence numbers. My credit card bill shows the restaurant ones by the ATV company. A guy on a motorcycle followed us taking pictures that we reviewed on an iPad at lunch. He wanted $3,000 pesos for a digital copy of all or $800 pesos for a single picture… outrageous! The guide was great and we enjoyed the tour.
I don't know where the other reviewers went but this was basically a tour to go to tequila tasting and a restaurant. There was no real nice scenery nor was there any insights on where we were traveling. I would not recommend this tour.
Remember your Driver's License!! Good Value. A little hard to find the if you are coming early before 10:00am opening. The ATV was newish and in good condition for my wife and I. Walk across the street to Barracuda on the beach for lunch after the tour.
This was the cheapest ATV adventure I could find and we loved it! Booked the night before, upon arrival all staff were very welcoming and nice! Loved our tour guides and the sights on the way up the mountain were beautiful! First stop was a rlly cool bar with tequila tasting (even tho we don’t drink we just watched) second stop was at a little restaurant and we got some chips & guac but there is a full menu! Overall I’d rate this trip 10/10! We had an awesome time and it was the best price we could find! Don’t pay $150 at another place! This place was awesome! Thanks again!
Great experience l! This was such a great ATV ride! Highly recommend! This is a must do activity!
Best day ever! (says the 17 yo granddaughter) Perfect half day trip to get out of town and up into the mountains. Easy ride for beginners too. Super nice guide. Thanks, Speedy Gonzalez! You rock!😍
We purchased a package to do ATVs in early November. I see on my bank statement there was no issue collecting money. I’ve received zero communication about where to meet and details. I’m very disappointed and request communication as soon as possible. leewshurtleff@yahoo.com
This was an amazing experience with Rodrigo. He took us to beautiful places and gave us plenty of time to take pictures and look around. Rodrigo is extremely personable and easy to talk to. He has a good sense of humor and a great knowledge of the area. Even my 16-year-old nephew loved the experience! And he can be hard to please. It's a very beautiful, amazing ride. I am highly recommend.
The guide, Gonzalo, was patient and helpful. The views were beautiful through the Sierra Madre mountains. The Tequila tasting was nice too, I bought a bottle to take home. Overall it was a great experience, even though there was light rain.
Amazing ride, wine tasting and swim! Enjoyed every part of our tour and tour guides were great. Will come back
This company said it was their last day in business. Government shutting them down. The vibe was not upbeat to say the least. And no Tequila tasting for some reason. Possibly Viator should be aware of these situations. We were told it was their last tour before government shut them down. Kind of a down.
Arrived at 130 ..signed waivers… started at 150. Safety and instructions then a t v through the streets and up the mountain to the first location stayed at the first location.A little bit then went to the second location, which has a waterfall
We had lots of fun! Easy to ride, great views, adrenaline pumping experience. We enjoyed every bit of it. Gonzalo our tour guide was awesome! Ending the tour with tequila tasting made it even better.
The tour guides were extremely friendly and helpful! We had a fantastic time and the hosts were very gracious. The whole experience was fun and safe! Would recommend to all.
Absolutely amazing. They were kind, generous, and extremely patient. The view was amazing, along with the food. Would highly recommend.
Such a fun experience from start to finish! The ride along the Río Cuale up into the Sierra Madre Mountains was scenic, a little dusty (in the best way), and perfectly paced for both beginners and thrill-seekers. Our guides were friendly, safety-minded, and gave great local insight. The tequila tasting at the end was a delicious bonus - I learned a lot and found a new favorite. I’d gladly do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for adventure in PV!
We had a great time on this excursion. It felt very safe and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They take you to two spots where you can get drinks/swim which was delightful. Would def recommend!
I really enjoyed the tour. I went with my partner or three kids 18 yrs, 17 and 8 year old.We had so much fun. I love how safe I felt. They took us to a very beautiful places.
Everyone was very kind. The whole activity was well organized and started on time. Our guide was amazing!!!
Great trip! Host were very friendly, fun and accommodating. Travelled safely through the mountains, they constantly kept an eye on us
This was a great experience! We saw so many things that I've only imaged about Mexico! The staff was awesome and knew exactly what to do for safety and fun. The waterfall was very nice and the water was cold and refreshing, but I wish we could of seen more of them. We LOVED the restaurant we had lunch at! Very good food and drinks! I would recommend it this to everyone!
This experience was so fun the guys were amazing they spoke good English for this who need it and make sure that everyone is keeping up you go to beautiful places on the tour and it's all very safe they work together to stop traffic so you can go safely, the photographer is amazing if you opt to pay for the photos they take he will favorite you on the way back to make sure you get the most for your buck only 1000 MXN for tons of photos together I would highly recommend!!
Fantastic tour! The guides were great and very kind. Be prepared to take a refreshing dip at the waterfall and have a delicious meal at the local restaurant. Definitely recommend this tour—you see the “real” Puerto Vallarta plus the mountains. The tour is a little over 3 hours once everyone gets checked in. You will also get a little dusty so don’t wear anything you aren’t willing to get dirty.
Excellent activity while visiting PV.. it was a day filled with fun and good food and tequila tasting. Highly recommend
The excursion itself was enjoyable, but we were scammed out of an additional $50 for photos that we still haven’t received — and it’s now day four. This charge was on top of the original $100 fee we already paid. We’ve called and emailed for updates multiple times with no response. The photo receipt clearly states a 28- to 48-hour delivery window, and we’ve passed that with no confirmation, no pictures, and no reassurance. To make matters worse, once we arrived, we were told we had to make copies of our IDs or passports for the police — something that was never communicated to us beforehand. This last-minute request added unnecessary stress to what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing day. All in all, the lack of communication, surprise requests, and the fact that we still haven’t received what we paid for made this a subpar experience. I wouldn’t recommend this company unless they make things right.
The ATV ride and waterfall and restaurant were all so awesome and amazing. Best part of our trip to Puerto Vallarta.
LOVE THE MUD, AND ANGEL WAS A TERRIFIC TOUR GUIDE. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK, BEST EVER TRIP IVE BEEN ON. GO AND SEE THEM FOR A GREAT TIME
