Tungulú is a hidden gem in Puerto Montt, the gateway to Chilean Patagonia. I tried a signature dish inspired by the region’s German settlement history, along with delicious seafood all paired with exceptional wine. Chilean, of course! A wonderful experience where local flavours, history, and identity come together. 100% recommended!

Beware: One of the most disingenuous and misrepresented properties we have experienced. (Our apologies to the staff who had to cover for the despicable upper management/owners, as the staff are hard working and deserve respect.) (1) Our experience bordered on a camp site, not a hotel or "cabana"-style B&B. Our "cabins" (due to the mgt negligence, we had to "sample" a stressful three!) are absolutely nothing like the photos on the website. (2) We arrived to a sorely ill-maintained "cabin" that was not fit for human (or other animal) occupancy--stench of cleaner, rubber strip hanging off the shower door, a tangle of TV cables. Mgt wants credit for have relocated us to a cleaner, slightly better cabin. (3) Better cabin? The website adverts a kitchenette, yet the dial on the stovetop is stuck so it is unusable and mgt claimed they restored it--they did not. (3) Wintertime, and we woke twice to NO HEAT and NOT HOT WATER. Yet, mgt wants credit for having fixed it, which they absolutely did not do the SECOND time we woke to no heat/hot water, requiring we relocate yet AGAIN to a 3rd cabin, which mgt said was a "measure aimed at [our] comfort and relaxation." Are you kidding me--heat and hot water in the dead of winter is a COURTESY? We lost 4 hours one morning to mgt not knowing what to do about our no heat/hot water. Mgt: take note that we booked a cabin, not a CAMP SITE. (4) Internet was wholly unreliable. Video chat with our friends in another cabin was like talking across galaxies. (5) The website claims there is room service. Wait--there is no such thing, because there is NO RESTAURANT. (6) You have to pay extra for the hot tub they advertise, and the "breakfast included" is about as basic/boring as it gets unless you pay for "premium" breakfast, none of which is explained on the website. (7) Housekeeping is every-other-day and involves ONLY changing towels and sheets, yet nothing is indicated on the website of this arrangement. (8) No washcloths, no bath hand towel, one kitchen cloth. It was like a bad Airbnb. The view was great, because management couldn't "break" that, ergo they did not have to "repair" it, as a "courtesy" to the guest.
Can’t really think of a negative about this place. I was taking the navimag ferry the next day and the meeting point was about 25 minute walk from here too.
