We booked late Tuesday for a Wednesday morning trip. Rodrigo met us at the end of the pier. As there was only 2 of us we had a car and our guide was Juan. We did a tour of the town and south beaches, including various monuments, Juan was very informative. We stopped for a snack and drink on a lovely beach. Our last stop was Punta Loma where we saw the seal lions. Highly recommend and reasonably priced, and nothing was rushed!

Itinerary
Coastal walk through the city from north to south, discovering its economic activities, its most important attractions, its history, all told by a local guide.
We will stop at this place to appreciate the highest panoramic view of the city, a unique place where Puerto Madryn’s representative flags fly proudly, symbolizing the rich history and diversity of our region. Here you will also have the opportunity to admire the imposing Monument to the Tehuelche Indian, a tribute to the native cultures that inhabited these lands and whose legacy still lives on in our identity. This viewpoint is not only a place full of history, but also a space to connect with the landscape and essence of Puerto Madryn from the heights.
Touring the south coast, we arrive at Punta Este, a panoramic viewpoint that allows us to appreciate at low tide the majestic boat Folias , allowing us to know its rich history. The beauty of the place and the Patagonian wind make us feel part of the landscape. From there we will observe the classic geography of Patagonia called RESTINGAS and cobblestone beaches.
This reserve is the first and oldest in our province. There, sea lions, both male and female and young, live all year round, allowing us to meet the new puppies each season. Variety of birds coexist with sea lions, their vegetation and fauna invite us to enjoy a pleasant, simple and easy to travel environment.
Continuing 3 km further from Punta Loma’s loberia to the south, is the CERRO AVANZADO, an imposing viewpoint where we find breathtaking views of the reserve. There you can climb a small hill of low difficulty and observe the geography of the seabed unique in the area, designed for all ages. They will experience Patagonia in a different way, between its steppe vegetation, clay hills and a unique option to enjoy a picnic with homemade empanadas and regional wines connected to the place.

A great tour of the town, it's industry, history and fabulous secluded beaches. And, DON'T forget the sea lions. Our guide, Juan was incredibly knowledgeable and, being a local, could tell us all the personal information that you don't normally get on a big tour. Oh, and how could I forget the empanadas!
Fabian was very flexible with our tour requests. He showed us lovey beaches and provided insightful information about the area and country. Delicious snakes and wine at a scenic spot. Language not a problem. Record the private tour.
Rodrigo was a fantastic guide. We saw and learned a lot. We really enjoyed learning about Puerto Madryn. The provided a fantastic wine and Empanada snack.
We went on an excursion on February 11. Roberto, our guide, did a wonderful job. Despite the strong wind, we made all the planned stops. The viewpoint where we observed elephant seals was very convenient, and it was possible to take stunning photos. The next stop was especially impressive: we climbed one of the nearby hills (wear sneakers, as the ascent and descent can be slippery) and saw a breathtaking view of Patagonia. Afterwards, we had lunch with Malbec and the most delicious homemade empanadas prepared by Roberto and his wife. We recommend this trip. Thank you Katerina and George
Excellent tour for those coming in on cruise ships. Our guide met us at the pier holding a sign with our name so meeting up with him was seamless. Our ship was late getting in but I was able to communicate with our guide in advance and he was extremely accommodating. We saw the city’s highlights without the crowds of a busy bus and learned the history of this beautiful town. Our guide even brought homemade empanadas and a bottle of Malbec for a picnic lunch at the gulf - and insisted we take the leftovers with us (nearly a dozen!) It was a relaxing day, our car was comfortable, our driver was safe, and both made us feel extremely welcome.
Magnificent experience. Have a guide who demonstrates his knowledge, passion and responsibility when making the stories. Super recommended
