I highly recommend this tour! As a non-Spanish speaker, everything was explained to me perfectly, allowing me to truly enjoy the experience. The team is wonderful—they offer helpful tips and provide excellent care during the preparations, on the boat, and in the water. They are considerate of the animals and ensure that the way the animals approach and interact with you is completely natural. Simply amazing!

I had a flawless experience from start to finish. I went snorkeling with sea lions and did a wreck dive—both were worth every penny. I barely speak a word of Spanish, but the team made me feel welcome and translated everything for me. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience. We swam with many sealions, they are very playful and not shy. We did well to see the company the day before and discuss the timing - staged departure times, not everyone leaves at 8, could be 9 or 10. They had planned for us to go at 10 but we had booked another activity in the early afternoon, so we asked to be switched to the early departure. The regular wetsuit was sufficient to be warm and allowed easier moves.

A really enjoyable and well‑run snorkelling trip. Everything was prompt, but relaxed and felt very safe throughout. We saw plenty of sea lions and had loads of time in the water with them, which made the whole experience feel great value. The trip departs directly from the meeting point, so there’s no minibus transfer — a big plus. It’s about a 25‑minute walk from the cruise port if you’re visiting on a ship, but they make this clear before booking and the meeting point is very easy to find. There’s an optional photo/video package at the end, but it’s not a hard sell and the price is very reasonable. We were happy to buy it for the memories. Couldn’t have asked for more.

This was a great experience. While the sea lions did not interact with us, it was still very enjoyable. The proximity to wildlife and seeing them in their natural habitat was amazing. The wetsuits kept you very warm in the water.

It was a very good experience! We were provided with plenty of wet suit coverage for the 59degreeF water. While in the water, we were able to easily view the sea lions on the shore and just a few entered the water. My only disappointment was that, based on the photos, I really thought we would be swimming/snorkeling amongst quite a few sea lions. But that was not the case, none of them swam near us. We still enjoyed the experience as a whole.

We had a great time out in the water and the guides were able to get a ton of sea lions out to swim with us. The photos also were sent the same day and are really awesome!

It was amazing being able to swim with the lobitos. Guides were attentive, informative albeit a little sarcastic. You have about 30-40 minutes in the water with the lobitos so I think the price of 110 GBP per person (Viatour) is pretty expensive for what it is

Wow - this will go down as one of the best things we have done in a long time. The sea lions are incredible - playful and friendly as they gather round you. But all of the staff at Madryn Buceo work to make it an easy, comfortable, happy experience. Thank you, we loved it xx

Super friendly funny staff, responsible and caring guide and captain, saw many wild animals and so close to sea lions.

The operator might cancel the experience. Due to weather my experience was cancelled. I was only in town for one day on a ship, so kinda bummed to not have anything to do on a Sunday. It could have been fine but the communication from the operator wasn’t super clear and kept leading on a group of people who were waiting. The older man in the shop (owner?) would say disparaging things in Spanish about the guests who were being told every 20 mins or so to wait another 20 mins… so that’s not cool but whatever. It was eventually cancelled and they processed a refund within the hour. What really irked me though was after waiting hours, one of the staff offered to drive in his own car to see a park with sea lions for $100. It was at that moment I felt ripped off. Advice to travelers: If there are any doubts about weather, don’t wait more than 20 mins because it’s not going to happen. Just cancel the activity and ask for a refund — they should be nice about it.

We had so much fun and had so many sea lions swimming all around us ! The sea lions are so curious and engaging. You don’t swim out to them - they swim up to you and some even “cuddle” close to you and let you pet them. It was amazing to watch them underwater as they whirled around and frolicked with each other. At times they appeared to form a spinning ball of sea lions. There were sea lions of all sizes and varying colors. It was truly a wonderful experience to be a part of their world for a time. Everyone at Madryn Buceo was helpful and friendly. They helped me put on my wetsuit which kept me warm the whole trip. It was a small group; just I, my husband, and three others in our boat. Lucio, our guide was excellent. He gave us instructions on how to behave around the sea lions and how to swim safely and easily in the area. It was easy to snorkel and swim because the ocean was so calm. The boat ride was a fast scenic journey to the sea lion area. Lucio explained about the environment and pointed out other wildlife- including a penguin swimming by ! We had plenty of time in the water to enjoy the playful interaction with the sea lions. Lucio also took great video and photos of us during our trip. We highly recommend doing this excursion because it was such a beautiful and fun experience. We arrived by cruise ship and were glad that we took a taxi to Madryn Buceo because the long walk in hot weather would have worn us out. We would love to return to go diving with them next time!

Absolutely great trip and fabulous hosts - loved every minute. The hosts were kind enough to wait for our VERY late cruise ship to dock and took us out.

Great once in a lifetime experience with my husband. Just like the photo! We swam with many sea lions and watched the babies splashing around close to the rocks. This family owned business went the extra mile in every way to make our experience a unique and memorable one, to include taking photos throughout for us to purchase and download afterwards. Very unique and personalized small group tour. To those visiting from a cruise ship, be aware that to get to the dive shop is about a 25-30 minute walk along the shore in addition to the pier walk. We recommend taking a cab to the location if you're pressed for time. Just make sure you have the exact amount in dollars or pesos because they don't have change. Back to the trip, these guys were very informative about the area, and are very knowledgeable in what they do. Thank you Madryn Buceo, keep up the great work! We highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! They cater to every age from 5-75 and make sure everyone is comfortable. The most important thing to me is that they do not exploit the sea lions habitat and maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone including the sea lions. They also provide go pro footage at an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend this company and in fact friends went out on a dolphin watching tour the next day.

We had a fantastic experience with Madryn Buceo. The booking arrangements were excellent, the equipment was all in great condition (wetsuits, masks, fins, etc). The guides were excellent (Mauro? and Assi? and skipper Guillhame?) and they operated very professionally. And.... we had a great encounter with the sea lions and petrel. Highly recommended.

So much fun! Loved the opportunity to dive with sea lions. Madryn Buceo was very responsive to all my questions before and after booking. Arrived at 8 am per instructions and finished by about 10 pm. They have full wetsuits with hoods and gloves to keep you warm in the chilly water. Multiple staff members spoke English and ensured we understood the whole process. Must do experience!

In the fair morn, ere the sun had reached its zenith, we did embark upon an adventure most wondrous, to swim with the noble sea lions. The chill of dawn, a mere -1 degree, did stir some concern within our hearts. Yet, the journey to our destination was but a fleeting three minutes.Upon arrival, a kindly gentleman did greet us and present a choice of attire. One, a wetsuit that might allow the cold to seep in and the water to permeate. The other, a drysuit, in which even the fiercest glacial waters could not penetrate. "If thou art afeard of the cold, take the drysuit," quoth he. And so, we donned the latter, assured of our warmth.Patagonia, a land of rugged splendor, did unveil a scene as if from the realms of science fiction. As we trod the wet shores, 'twas as though we had ventured onto a new planet, reminiscent of "Interstellar." We embarked upon a boat and journeyed to the sea lions' domain. Immersed in the waters, we found warmth aplenty, though our hands, encased in gloves, did feel the bite of the cold.Before us, upon a rocky outcrop, a multitude of sea lions did bask. They swam about us, their faces, upon occasion, peering beneath the waves. When stillness was our guide, they encircled us, and we dared to reach out and touch their sleek forms. Verily, this was one of the finest excursions I have e'er partaken in.Yet, let me beseech the purveyors of this grand adventure: the time of sending forth the photographs should be shortened. Two days' wait doth feel a lengthy span, especially for those who travel far. Swift delivery of these images would greatly enhance the joy of all who partake in this experience.On our return, a majestic whale did grace our sight, a prelude to our morrow’s excursion. Truly, this journey was a testament to nature's grandeur and the marvels it doth bestow upon us.

The whole experience was explained well before starting, and I was given options of a wet or dry suit as it was winter and very cold in the water. Many of the staff speak English so this was helpful for me and my limited Spanish speaking abilities. There were lots of sea lions and photos were taken that I was able to pay for to keep as memories.

This was an amazing experience! Madryn Buceo was very friendly and when they canceled due to weather, they helped me rearrange with another tour company so that I can do all the items on my itinerary. There were plenty of sea lions and they were very playful. My guides were Lucio and Julian; Max helped check us in. They were all very friendly; I was the only English speaking traveler and they made sure to explain everything to me individually. Furthermore, you can tell that they all like one another and love their job. They are very accommodating and made sure that none of us were freezing on the way back and offered us jackets, beanies, and hot mate. An amazing team for an incredible experience.

We had so much fun - being from Texas and a “hater” of cold weather, I was afraid the water would be too cold to stand, but the wet suits worked great. Julio is a delight, and very passionate about the animals. Highly recommend this adventure!

This is a great experience and the whole crew is absolutely amazing. Everyone is really interested in the well being and safety of the passengers. The crew seemed to enjoy the trip as much as we did. The boat captain and everyone else were great! Lucio handled the suiting up and front desk operations admirably. You can't go wrong with this tour!!!

The trip to where the sea lions live, and play along the coastline was beautiful. There were plenty of sea lions once we arrived, but none got too close. The water was also cloudy. We could not see any of the sea lions underwater. Overall a good experience. Crew very accommodating

Was a very nice experience I will ever remember, when I think back about my time in argentina. First we arrived at the marine center, there we switched into our swim gear. on the boat we got instruction and the rest. we swam for a good time and asked to go back to the boat, before the guide was asking us. so there is plenty of time you can spent in the water. for me it was perfect time. on the way back, one of the guides explained us a bit about some birds and other seals. after we came back, they helped us out of the swimming suit. there we could also buy the pictures for 15'000 ars, which were sent later by email and a link to download. improvement could be in the time to get in and out the swimming suit. sometimes it felt like to be in a hurry. but beside that it was great, thank you! :-)

Snorkeling with the sea lions was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience! Our guides outfitted us with wetsuits and prepared us for this great adventure on the ride to the sea lions natural habitat where we interacted with them. Do not miss this opportunity!

So many sea lions to see up close and to interact with them. We did not have to travel very far to be in their habitat.

We had a group of 6 and we’re joined by another couple. The lady in the shop helped us get wet suits on and walked us to the beach where their boat came in we waded out and got on the boat. A 20-30 minute ride out the the preserve area. The guides on the boat were very pleasant and helpful. We slipped over the side of the boat and floated to the preserve line. About 10-15 sea lions swam to us and under and around us. Got very up close and had great viewing of them. The guides were also taking pictures and videos that they promised to email to us for $30 for the whole group. A very fun and memorable experience!

A great experience overall. Staff was wonderful! Snorkeling was fun. Only disappointment is that the sea lions for the most part stayed on the beach.

Awesome, intimate experience with only 6 customers and a guide. It was perfect conditions with the sea lion colony on shore and curious ones darting around us.

this was a fun experience and the people who ran the excursion were all so nice--only problem for me was the suit--it was double layered to keep us warm in the cold water but that also made it extremely buoyant so despite being an experienced snorkeler and a good swimmer i did have trouble getting around in the water--however i would do this again if i could!

Swimming with the sea lions was a highlight of our time in the area. Boat trip to the snorkeling place was safe and smooth and getting so close to these animals was amazing. Other groups in the water had gloves and I wish we did too. They bill the photos 15$ cash but we didn’t get to have a preview before buying so it’s a hit or miss.

Our family of 6 (kids 21, 21, 17, and 13) had a great time on the excursion. We crew on our boat was wonderful. They helped us in the water and took video and pictures of our time there. Highly recommend taking a GoPro if you have one. Be prepared for COLD water. The pics and videos they took were good and not very expensive to purchase.

Truly an unmissable experience, the best thing I've done in Argentina so far and this is an amazing country! I've snorkelled before and had experiences with animals but nothing compared to this. You get into the water and soon find yourself surrounded by friendly, inquisitive animals, happy to play-bite you or even be touched! It's like puppy therapy but a million times cooler. The water is cold but you don't even think about it. My trip was just three of us - 2 divers and me snorkelling - so we all got loads of attention from both the sea lions and our guide Dante! It was so good the diving couple went back for a second round. Overall it was super well organised, and they were friendly and helpful despite my terrible Spanish. Lucio also super friendly afterwards in giving out further tips for the Puerto Madryn area, other tours, and even inviting me for lunch.

There is nothing in our life that we have done that is cooler than this. Our guide, Dante, was so nice and helpful on the way, ensuring that we weren't too cold. Yes, it was freezing, but we were okay with the wetsuits. You are going to want the pictures and video after, so make sure to stay near Dante during the experience.
