Península Valdés, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to right whales and features rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, islands, and shallow bays. You will travel approximately 480 km (half on paved roads) to reach Puerto Pirámides, where from June to December, you can enjoy whale watching. Along the way, visit the Grande and Chica salt mines to the south of the peninsula, and in Punta Delgada, descend the cliffs to observe elephant seals up close. Continue to Punta Cantor to explore the outer coast of the peninsula. The Whale Watching Navigation in Puerto Pirámides is optional—passengers who do not take the navigation will remain in Puerto Pirámides and be met onshore at the end of the tour.
