Start your adventure with the search at your accommodation in Puerto Madryn. After a short tour of the city to learn about its history, we will head towards the Valdes Peninsula.
Start the adventure in the reserve in the company of a tour guide who will help us interpret the environment. Stay tuned, the Valdes Peninsula is home to unique species such as guanacos, maras (Patagonic hare), choiques (petiso rhea) and gray foxes, among others.
We head inland to the immense peninsula, linked to the continent by a strip of land known as the Ameghino Isthmus. At certain points, you can simultaneously see both the New and San Jose Gulfs, and enjoy the views of the typical Patagonian landscape. Make your first stop at the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Visitor Center, where you can appreciate the small sample of local flora and fauna.
Continue to the picturesque village of Puerto Pirámides while enjoying the views and a brief city tour upon arrival. From June to December, you will have the opportunity to experience the one-and-a-half hour sailing to see the towering Southern Right Whale up close.
We continue to Caleta Valdés through a riverside path to marvel at the colony of Penguins of Magellan (from September to April). The exceptional value of this cove is due to its great biodiversity and the scenic beauty of the open ocean. Keep an eye on the killer whales, if you are lucky, you can spot them patrolling these coasts in packs. The next stop is Punta Cantor. Here, trails and viewpoints will allow you to observe elephant and sea lion colonies.
As we proceed along the ripio roads, the safari continues overland. Be sure to watch the horizon. Among the bushes, you can see guanacos, choiques and maras crossing the Patagonian steppe. After a day full of nature in its purest form, we returned to Puerto Madryn to leave it in your accommodation.
It was a fantastic day! We had the privilege of spending the day with our guide Lukas in a group of four and had a very good time. Lukas had extensive knowledge of the region's flora and fauna and was a competent and friendly guide who always looked after us. Many thanks for this outstanding experience!
We only had 1 full day in Valdez Peninsula because of flight rescheduling but Dos Oceania and Danny (our eagle-eyed driver) made sure we saw virtually every major site on the island. In addition to great stories about the development of Puerto Madryn, Valdez Peninsula, and their history, Danny showed us guanacos, maras, penguins, birds, a grey fox, hares, bird life, and more. The whale watching trip was phenomenal with very close up views and the varied scenery throughout was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Our experience was amazing! first of all, we set off about 7:30 and saw elephant seals and penguins! Adorable! After that, nearing the end of the day, we went on a boat and quickly sighted a whale! After we saw a whale close to another boat, the captain went and tried to find “our own whale”. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to find one, but this area has whales in abundance! There were whales left and right of the boat, blowing water and flicking their tails above the surface, it was magical. Our guide, Daniel, was great and provided so much information while we were driving, and translating into English for us. Thank you!
I looked for many tours that included the whale watching experience and this one was the best option. We not only were picked up on our apartment, we traveled around the peninsula, at the boat we saw the whales SO CLOSE!! We also went to see Penguins and other animals. The guide was a PRO! Gave so much information! Very warm and friendly! I will recommend to EVERYONe!! This was so beautiful I will remember this my entire life 💕
This tour is beyond description. Out of several whale watching tours all over the world this one- where the southern right whale is encountered- stands out. The whales were up close with some passing under the boat, others breaching, and appearances beyond count. Lots of great photos and videos and a considerate captain who ensured multiple sightings by everyone. Best value ever!
Mirta was a really great guide and made the excursion super interesting and enjoyable. The peninsula and whale watching are amazing. I was the only English speaking person on the tour but Mirta made the experience very inclusive.
I usually try to only choose tours that are less than 6 hours, as most of the time when I have gone on 11 - 12 hours tours, they are full of side activities I don't want to do. But this tour was worth every hour!! Daniel was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, probably one of the most knowledgeable guides I've ever had; I learned SO much about the animals on Patagonia. He and the driver, Lukas, also had a fantastic eye for spotting animals on the peninsula. So the drives between locations never dragged on, it literally felt like we were on a Patagonian safari! Lukas also gave me fantastic tips for restaurants and activities the rest of my time in town. I HIGHLY recommend this tour, especially with Daniel and Lukas!

It was amazing and above all very respectful of the fauna. The only thing that I feel unlucky to be there under an algae outcrop and nothing looked like when the water is crystal clear, those things should be taken into account.

The day was beautiful, I liked the respect and care towards the whales and the species of the sea. And the tour is magnificent and exciting.
Enterprise is the worst, I was picked up at the agreed time on a very windy day, I was taken to the port as if they didn’t know they had closed it (which the other companies immediately told me), as the port was closed by wind and the sightings didn’t leave led me to do the rest of the excursion. Returning, when rescheduling the sighting for another day, I wanted to collect a fortune again for the transfer to the port. Finally I decided to make the claim for return of that part of the excursion, which was half the total price, Trip Advisor managed it and I was returned a wonderful trip advisor in that regard. I made the sighting with another Enterprise I hired there.

It is a challenging but exciting tour, especially with an expert and attractive guide like Daniel with the possibility of observing various animal species in their habitat. The whale watching cruise is beautiful, although it takes a little luck over time: if the wind and weather are not favorable, the naval authority closes the port of Pyramids, from where we sail. In our case, the cruise could not take place in the morning, but the agency managed to reschedule it for the afternoon and everything went well. The receptionists and the owner, Marcelo, were very friendly, helpful and responded quickly to any questions, including by WhatsApp. In short, I would say it was an excellent experience and highly recommended.

We went with Daniel who told us all about Chubut, the city of Puerto Madryn, its economy and culture, history, fauna, was excellent. We toured the Valdés peninsula, saw the first elephant seals that arrived, and embarked in Puerto Pirámides to approach the right whales. It was very exciting.

We saw many, many animals. Of course, whales. Very, very close. Mothers with young, young. Of all sizes. We stayed 4 days in Madryn. All the departures were made with Two Oceans: Punta Tombo Isla Escondida Port pyramids with whale watching boarding (unique experience!) Punta Cantor Gaiman Trelew Playa Union Puerto de Rawson. There was a misunderstanding with an excursion that they solved without any problems. Agostina attended us very good from the first contact we had with the agency and Lucas and Cristian accompanied us on the 3 excursions geniuses!! Thank you!! Fully recommended if we return we will contact them again.
