The Ghost Freighter Seafari was one of the highlights of our trip to Turks and Caicos! The waves were a bit choppy so we couldn’t make it to the ship but we were able to stop by iguana island and Noah’s ark! The whole excursion was incredibly fun and memorable. A special shoutout to our guide, Karl, who did an amazing job. He was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made the experience even more enjoyable. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a great time. We had an amazing experience from start to finish and would absolutely recommend the Ghost Freighter Seafari to anyone visiting Turks and Caicos. And if you get Karl as your guide, you’re in for an extra great experienced

Beautiful ride to shipwreck and iguana island. Alex was our guide and I highly recommend. He was thorough with his instruction and made it really fun for the kids. He’s a master at jet ski and took amazing pictures for us!
Excellent execution, and our guide Friendly was the best. He even helped us fish my husband’s glasses out of the ocean when he dropped them as we were leaving Iguana Island! The perfect quick excursion for families who love adventures but don’t want to spend a half day on a bus going to and from the excursion site and then spend time waiting around. We were picked up by a taxi, immediately got suited up in life vests, hopped on jet skis, and we were on our way! We spent the full hour riding jet skis and exploring the island, and were back at the resort in no time!
Pros: •Experience was good. •Guide did a decent job. Cons: •Was asked to reschedule around 8pm the night before. Which was an inconvenience for me at times suggested. •We stayed on Iguana Island for 5 minutes. Wasn't no time to enjoy it before we was guided back to the jet skies. •Jet ski warning light came on leaving Iguana Island. Was able to make it back to dock.
Everyone agreed it was a great time for a family of 6 (ages 12 - 46) + our crazy uncle. The jet skis were all maintained very well. They merged our group with another family and the guides did a great job keeping everyone together. The first half of our trip was out to the wreck, and the other half was in the calm waters of the bay. It was a little choppy on the way out, but was nice all of the way around.
My boyfriend and I booked this for my birthday. The water was choppy on the day we went out but the experience was great! Our guide was very good and stayed with us the whole time. It was just my boyfriend and I and the guide on this specific day so very intimate experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the jetskiing to the ship. It is a memory that we will never forget.
I love riding jetskis, and this one was my favorite so far. The ride to the abandoned shipwreck was a bit choppy but maybe it was just that day. However, it’s quite a ride so I wouldn’t recommend doing this for the first unless you have great motor skills and control. We didn’t jump off the shipwreck because the waves were too much so we continued onto Iguana island shortly after. The ride to the island and back to shore was pretty smooth. The water in Turks is so clear so I loved looking at it the entire time. I’m sad my sister and I left our phones so we didn’t take any pics. I do not recommend doing this without goggles (YES GOGGLES) the saltwater will get in your eyes and you won’t be able to see otherwise. Either way, the guide watched over all of us, made sure we were okay and gave us a little history of the islands. I loved it. And highly recommend it. So much fun!
Awesome ride with my wife! Despite the windy and choppy conditions, our guide did a great job keeping us on pace. Our only suggestion would be to offer goggles to at least the driver of the jetski. It would be very helpful to allow the driver to see where they are driving, especially with the conditions we had.
I was very nervous leading up to this because there were some bad reviews, but I’m so happy to say that was not our experience! Bob was our guide and he was an absolute blast! He told us about the shipwreck and took videos and pictures of our family in the jet skis. He took us to Iguana Island and knew all about the Iguanas. I wanted to see Noah’s Ark so he went back past it. The was was extremely choppy for us and I was very nervous but he was so patient and showed me what to do. By the end in calm waters I was hitting 49 mph! My kids are 13 and 16 and rode on the back of the adults and also loved it. I feel very lucky to get Bob as our guide because he was just a great guy. Highly recommend!
Had an awesome time with the jet skis and the snorkeling.
Captain John and his crew were amazing! They provided an excellent service. We highly recommend this tour.
Great tour operator & team! - easy to find (this is key in TC as many tour companies are in poorly marked spots or even locations that don’t match the map!) -good communication before & during -friendly, knowledgeable local guides -care about the guest experience. Things happen, weather happens, and plans sometimes need to change- these guys were ready and willing to help adapt the tour to the situation and make sure everyone still had a great time. Highly recommend
We booked a 1 hour jet ski tour same day and drove ourselves to the location. It was easy to find but a guy approached our car as we parked asking for 10$ to park there which we eventually paid (I think he worked for the port area?). We made our way into yellow-blue building and found the desk to check in. The two women and one man working there acted mildly annoyed, never looked up from their computers or made eye contact - unfriendly and made us sign forms and then basically said nothing. Every action was micromanaged - do this, do that, stand over there, don't do that - it was very tense. We stood around and eventually someone said we needed life jackets which 3 of 4 of us got before the life jacket person wandered off unexpectedly and never returned. When we asked if there were places to store our stuff the desk waved us at some wooden "lockers" like it should have been obvious to know we could use them. It turned out there were shared with others - there were towels in the lockers and we were tersely told "Those are NOT YOURS! Do not touch them!" but to share the box. The boxes were not actually locked so we went and put things in our car instead. After that it was unclear what to do and we stood around awkwardly outside. The staff were either on their computers or down by the water front - and other guests / ferry passengers were in front of the building. After a while I went back into building and found out we were waiting for another family to arrive. This would have been good to know at the beginning - but maybe they were annoyed we arrived early / at the time the Viator reservation said to? The second family of 4 arrived just in time as the prior booking time arrived back at the dock with the jet skis so we could switch with them. The jet skis were in fair-ish condition. Clearly had collided with multiple things with gauges not working, etc. We got on them with a tiny bit of instruction - the "guide" gave no attention to even making sure we understood - and started out. The other family ended up leaving 2 behind because they could not get a straight answer from the guide if two of their more cautious people could return if it got too rough. The guide took off and we were to follow him - there was no time allotted to ensure you were comfortable operating the jet skis. It was nearly impossible to understand him over the noise of the engines. Luckily my family had some experience with jet skis / watercraft etc. If you do not have any I would be cautious about booking this excursion. It took about 15 minutes to reach the ship wreck. We stopped there briefly but did not take pictures as we left our phones behind (was unclear if a way to keep them water safe). You cannot dive off the ship like appears in the pictures - which given the state of the ship I understood. But they should remove that marketing photo so not to mislead folks. We then retraced our route toward the dock briefly going by small party area-cay-islet called "Noah's Ark" but inexplicably did not stop. It was a tease - like why show us if we aren't going to stop? We then went back to the dock and unloaded. We wondered if only the 2 hour tours stop off at small beaches or Noah's Ark area or to see iguanas. Maybe we took to long at the wreck site - we will never know. When we got back we regretted not bringing our own towels (dumb mistake) and rode back wet in our car. We also never got any photos at all. Net net I would not work with Caribbean Cruisin again due to the poor communication and interactions we had with the staff. I get it was the holidays and maybe the staff was tired of dealing with tourists. I would recommend closing up early if that is the case in the future vs. accepting business and doing it half hearted.
We had a great time riding the jet skis! The staff was very flexible when it came to us deciding to reschedule due to the rainy weather we ended up facing the day of the excursion. Highly recommend doing this excursion as we also pass by Noah’s Ark & stopped at Half Moon Bay to see some iguanas :)
It was a fabulous tour on the jet ski. The guide was great. Would absolutely recommend. Upgraded from one to 2 hrs mid trip because was so fun !!!
Our guide was Carl and he was very friendly and straightforward with his instructions that he wanted us to follow. The jet skis were big enough for 2 people and easy to pilot. Would absolutely do it again and the path that he had us take was easy to follow and exhilarating.
It was an excellent experience and the kids had a great time. They went to the shipwreck and visited two islands. Enjoyed Adventure
Such a fun excursion! Gene was such a great guide! Took us to the ship, then to Noah’s Ark to take a picture, and then to half moon bay to see some iguanas! He was very knowledgeable about the shipwreck as well as half moon bay. He was super funny and made the trip worth it! Highly recommend him as a guide and this as an excursion!
We’re flexible and re booked us when it was cooler weather and choppy water! Beautiful! Saw a shark, sea turtles and iguanas! Highly recommend! Great pics. Can’t jump off the ship anymore sadly.
We had a lot of fun on the Jetski but did not get to jump off the ghost ship. They said the ladder was taken away, it was the main reason for booking. If the guide wasn't so awesome we would have given 1 star. We still had fun on the jet ski.
We had a great time, the guide ended up taking my youngest with him and let her drive. She had the time of her life blazing by her teenage brothers. We were not able to jump off the ship as it's closed down. Other than that though it was a good time.
This was the most amazing water experience I’ve ever had! I’ve been to many islands and our guide today, Eel, is the best tour guide. He made the experience extra special and I highly recommend you request Eel to guide your safari. I can’t wait to come back!
Our guide Eel was perfect and very helpful. He made sure each rider was comfortable. We adjusted our trip to a less difficult location bc the water was too choppy that day.
The jet ski was fun and seeing the ship taking photos also good fun. The guide didn’t give much info apart from it being there 20 yrs. I thought we might have called into Captain oaks tiki bar or even driven past it… but we just kept going and back to pier ..
The staff are incredibly kind and friendly they took great care of my boys. They had a great experience today
Bryson was our tour guide. He was exciting, fun, and very informative! He was personable and took lots of pictures for us! We would come back for sure!
Guide was friendly the tour itself isn’t what it’s hyped up to be. Literally ride out look at a rusted ship and if you’re lucky your guide will take you somewhere else
Bryson was great!! He was amazing with great customer service. Always pick him as your tour guide. When I come back, will choose him.
The jet ski tour is soooo fun! Caribbean Cruisin was super to work with, picked us up, machines were well cared for, guides were super, safe and so much fun. Ship was cool.
Great tour no complaint visited the abandoned ship wreck, iguana island and Noah’s ark I would definitely recommend this tour
Had a great time an tour guide was patient we saw some amazing views an he even let us see the iguanas I enjoyed my experience an will recommend to family an friends
We never made it to the shipwreck. We just rode around for the duration of the activity. However, the weather was great 👍
Alex was my tour guide and was awesome!! I ended up being solo on his tour and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. I would absolutely do this again with Alex as the guide!
My partner and I booked 1hr to the shipwreck. When we arrived, our guide said that due to wind, it was not safe to go there. I was very disappointed but it was too late to cancel so we took the ride to one of the cays and back. It was beautiful but not what we paid for. No fault of the company. Everyone there, including check-in and our gide were great. My advice is to wait til the day of, go to Caribbean Cruisin and ask if the ride to the shipwreck is safe on that day before you pay. Also, when checking out on Viator, I did not have the option to select "no pick up". We had a rental car. It only allowed me to choose a pick up location that then charged me $40 (20 per person) in addition to GBP £156.71.
It was great even though it was to windy to go to the shipwreck. Wished at least we would’ve drove by it
Great service. They didn’t leave us! Captain Veguel Big show and Anderson!! Great people thank you. They are very helpful.
CJ was super fun while keeping our fist jet ski experience safe. We visited the Ghost Freighter and several other fun sites. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an adventure!
CJ took us out around the ship wreck and we ended at Noah’s Ark. It was a ton of fun flying through the water on the jet skis! They were able to accommodate us on the spot despite the other tour company canceling on us.
CJ was great guide and he was so helpful and so friendly he guides us all along the tour and has a lot of patience
We did the jet ski tour. Even though the conditions forced us to do a different tour, we still had a blast! The jet skis worked great and the tour guide Garrett was fantastic. We even saw a dolphin! Overall a great activity and highly recommend!
The ship was the most memorable part of this experience. CJ was my guide and was terrific! It ended up being just the two of us, so we got to move quickly and see some additional sites. Will definitely bring my friends along next time!
Fun activity during my honeymoon. Some experience would have been helpful, but we got the hang of the jet-ski's after 15 minutes or so. Beautiful beaches, and the stops to the ship and Iguana Island were super cool!
Mixed emotions about this tour. One, the ad is kinda misleading, no one gets on the boat to jump off it. Its a standard jet ski tour out to boat, and pretty much goes around a vacated island and back. Wish we went faster on the jet skis, a lot of it was 20-25 mph and stay in a line. Open up a little, let people have fun. Tour guide didnt say much, no history of Famille, etc. Best part was just the aqau water
Amazing way to spend an afternoon!! The views were spectacular; we saw stingrays on our way out to the ship wreck! My 14 and 11 year old loved the experience. One piece of advice to takeaway; stay 20 feet apart when on the jet skis 😂😂
We loved it. Had a great time. Our guide was a nice man. Super fun! Definitely recommend. We went with our 3 kids (16, 13, & 11 years) *when we booked it didn’t mentioned you have to be 17 years to drive a jet ski. I actually got different info from Viator (wrong info) *MAKE SURE you have eye protection. The salt water on the eyes is rough. I probably should’ve had kids just wear their swimming goggles. *make sure to have a water proof cover for your phone. *I did find the price ridiculously outrages for one hour.
Where do i begin, I sent many email to ensure that the excursion was perfect for my family and it was, Our tour guide was eel and he was great. we went to the shipwreck, iguana island, pine cay and dellis cay. if we had booked the three hour tour we would've visited North caicos. we will be back next year with more family members and we will definitely book the 3hr tour.
This was one of the best activities we did. Cj was an awesome and a cool dude, my girl dropped her dior shades and he literally stopped a boat and had a diver swim down to get it lol. It was a really cool experience overall I’ll definitely be back!
While the tour started 15 minutes late, it was AWESOME! And our guide CJ gave us the full hour plus a few extra minutes. A beautiful fun trip around the sunken ship, the tiki bar, and the stop on Iguana Island was a nice surprise. My teens loved having their own jet skis!
We had a blast. The one hour tour was the perfect amount of time. Our guide was helpful and made sure we had a good time.
This was definitely a great experience! The workers were nice and the tour guide let us really open up the speed on the jet skis which was the best part ! Definitely worth the money!
