Mangrove Clear Kayak Tour

Great tour! Lots of fun. Guide was knowledgeable. Held a poisonous jellyfish and showed it to us up close. Saw numerous sea turtles. Great trip!

This tour was so much fun! I am so glad we ended up doing it. Smith, our guide was the best. Hilarious and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour for everyone.

The water was so murky —couldn’t see turtles. Terrible. Honestly the company should have cancelled. Awful. I think it was because of rains or something. A lot of money to just look at murky water.

This was an amazing and awesome experience!!! We saw too many turtles to keep count! Our guide was a wealth of knowledge of the sea life in the area and was very attentive to everyone in our small group. We had a great time and will do this tour again with this company!

So much fun and you will definitely get a tan. Getting out of the kayak in the middle of the ocean surrounded by water is breath taking. We saw turtles, a little jellyfish, needle nose fish, ond a barracuda. Would definitely do this again!

The mangrove clear kayak experience was so much fun! It was such a cool way to see the mangroves up close and enjoy the beautiful water. Our guide Benzley (Benz for short) was amazing — he was friendly, informative, and made sure we were having a good time throughout the whole experience. Everything felt relaxed and enjoyable, and it was definitely one of my favorite experiences in Turks & Caicos. I would absolutely do it again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our tour guide was great and he showed us a good time. He did a very good job showing us around. We saw a lot to turtles on the 2 hour tour and we even saw a shark. We had a lot of laughs - Thanks Nico and Marvin.....

WE CALLED 911 DURING OUR TOUR. I was picked up at 6:50 AM for a 7:30 AM kayaking tour. We didn’t actually get towed out until around 8 AM. After we got to the marina, the van driver, who was nice at least, told us that the tour guide hadn’t shown up, so he would be leading the tour instead. There was a tender boat he had prepared to tow the kayakers to Mangrove Cay, which he then accidentally let drift away into the ocean. He eventually retrieved it with the help of another tour guide, and we finally got towed to the cay. The tour at Mangrove Cay itself went okay. We saw a lot of turtles. Then, around 9:20 AM, our tour guide (= the van driver) tied our kayaks to the mangroves, got on the boat, and left. The tour was supposed to end at 9:30 AM! He then didn’t come back for about 20 minutes. We had NO idea where he had gone or when he was coming back. People started getting worried, and those who had flights home that day started panicking. We called the tour operator, and they had NO idea what was happening. They didn’t even know that the van driver was leading our tour because the actual guide hadn’t shown up. At that point, we decided to call 911 for help. Did we see a lot of turtles? Yes. Was it worth all that drama? Absolutely not. What a disastrous and unnecessarily stressful tour.

We had a great time. Gliding over and next to the turtles of different ages was a definite highlight. Bob was a wonderful guide and was very accommodating to our kayaking skill level. We would definitely recommend it and would go again.

Amazing tour! We loved our guide. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw as much as possible!! Turtles , jelly fish. conch, and baby sharks (we didn’t find any of these though). The tour ran a little longer than expected so plan for 30 min buffer if you are trying to get somewhere after the tour. Highly highly recommend!!!

Once in a lifetime… Seeing the islands sea animals up close was so incredible. The clear kayak was so cool and ur guide was awesome explaining all of the animals natural habitats and showing us where they live. They were careful not to disturb the animals and taught us how to see them respectfully. We were in a group with adults & children so it is definitely family friendly. They take you to a couple of different locations & we got to see turtles, jelly fish, conch & more!

We had an amazing time with knowledgeable guides who showed us the wildlife in the mangroves and helped us navigate our kayaks. The pickup at our resort was on time and very convenient, too. I’m so glad we booked this excursion!

Great tour guide Mikey. We got a chance to take picture of all the sea creatures we encountered. Even saw a baby shark. Mikey explained each species. Very educational. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Great pointers given on how to operate the kayak which was great because it was my first time. Got a little stuck at points but that is to be expected. Overall great tour made even better with your guide Mikey.

Very well organized excursion. Pick up was appreciated! I am a solo traveler and felt completely safe throughout the tour. Staff were all amazing especially along the Mangrove where they showed us jellyfish, conk, baby sharks and turtles. Obviously the scenery was breathtaking. Totally recommend for anyone visiting Turks.

Jean was a knowledgeable guide, and we enjoyed learning about the mangroves. He took us to a spot where the sea turtles hang out and we saw so many up close. The tow to the spot and the paddling once we got there was the perfect mix of relaxing and active. We and our older teens loved it.

We had a great time on the clear kayak tour through the mangroves. Our guide made sure we saw all the local wildlife - jellyfish, conch, lemon sharks, and sooo many turtles!!

My husband and I took our 2 kids (8 yrs and 13 years) on the clear kayak tour through the mangroves on a Wednesday morning. It was amazing! The guide was very friendly, attentive, and experienced. He knew a lot about the local wildlife. We saw so many turtles, a baby lemon shark, conch, and jellyfish, we even saw a big sting ray on the return to shore. My 8 yr old was a little overwhelmed by all the things to see, but he settled into the rhythm about 1/2 way thru. We would love to go again!

The tour guide was amazing, the experience was amazing as well. my only complaint is the mother and son who claimed they knew how to use the kayak when they didn’t and they made everyone have to wait for them. other then that 10/10

I thought this was such a neat idea, but the execution was poor. First, it was just way too many people. There were 3 groups of about 10 people. Kayaks contained 2 people, and we were strung together to be towed by boats across a bay to the mangrove area. It was long strings of people and kayaks, a little ridiculous and way more than I was expecting for a kayak tour. When we got to the mangroves, we split into small groups, and our guide led us to spots and pointed out wildlife and features and educated us, which was nice. We saw many turtles and a few conchs. When our time was up, we paddled back out to the mangrove entrance to wait for all the other groups to come. That took about 15-20 minutes. I suspect our guide was the most quick, and the other guides saw or pointed out more, which is fine, but they should make the experience more consistent. It was sunset, so was a nice time to look at the ocean. HOWEVER, the mosquitoes came out, buzzed around, and had their fill of us. That's a lot of waiting surrounded by mosquitoes. This felt like a cattle herd of a tour. Would recommend trying to find a less popular time of day (perhaps not during peak July month), and if going during dawn or dusk, mosquito repellant is a must.

Great experience! Mikey our guide was great! He was able to connect with a diverse skill level of kayakers and shared lots of info. We saw dozens of turtles, live conch and jellyfish!

Awesome tour. Super convenient hotel pickup which made it cost effective and easy. Great comms from the tour company. But the tour itself was great, very knowledgeable guide who shared fascinating facts about the mangroves. Just the right amount of time paddling in absolutely beautiful mangroves. We saw a ton of turtles, a lemon shark, a barracuda, a cool jellyfish and a conch (that was placed there for the guides to show everyone). Only issue is there were like 2-3 other groups and so there were areas where we had some traffic jams but that’s not the tours fault. The water is wildly clear and the turtles are incredible to see under the clear kayaks. Heavily recommend

We got to see sharks, sea turtles, jelly fish, and conch. If you are considering this tour I would definitely recommend it. The guide was really good and worked hard to show sure all there was to see. It is hot and there is no shade. You will be in the kayak for about 2 hours. With this being said the earlier you go the better. I wore a long sleeve sun shirt, wide brim hat and put on lots of sun screen. This is the best tip I can give you besides telling you to book the tour.

This was a great experience. We were able to see ample smaller and larger turtles, lots of fish, 3 very large barracuda, and even a small lemon shark to top it off. Beautiful area to take kayaks!

This tour is exactly as it is described. The clear kayak tour takes you out into the mangroves to see the natural habitat. The water, of course, is incredible and there is some physicality involved in maneuvering the kayak. We saw a few turtles, a stingray and some baby lemon sharks which was cool. The guide found a small jellyfish and a conk shell we could check out.

This tour is sooo good. You will see so many turtles and learn about them, small sharks, jelly fish, and conch. Bensley was an excellent guide. They tow you across the channel (I loved this part), then guide you around the mangroves. At the end, you can get out in the shallow water. The 5:00 tour was perfect as the sun wasn’t as hot. You are in full sun the whole time. Great for kids and adults.

Tour was amazing! We saw plenty of sea turtles, baby jelly fish, lemon sharks and Conch shells! The waters were so clear and beautiful. I highly recommend this excursion.

Our guide, Robert was spectacular! So knowledgeable and friendly. They tow you out to specific area to begin tou, but don’t worry you will get plenty of paddling time.

What a really wonderful experience. From the start, everything was organized and on time. Instructions were clear and off we go! Our guide (Shifty?) was very knowledgeable. It was my very first time kayaking and our guide was incredibly patient. He kept me close and guided me through. By the time we were half way through, I got it and was moving on my own. We saw turtles, lemon sharks, jellyfish and conch! We moved at a good pace and got to cool off at one point in the water. They provide dry bags thankfully. I suggest taking sunscreen for reapplication during the tour as you spend a ton of time with the sun needing down on you. Take a hat and wear protection clothing if you burn easily. There is zero shade for the hour+ tour. This is a must do while in T&C!

Awesome experience! It's nice that the kayaks are towed to the mangrove forest. Our guide Benzi was very knowledgeable. We saw a manta ray, lots of turtles, got to hold a live queen conch, and saw some small jellyfish that the turtles eat. Loved swimming around just outside the forest as well. It was great learning about the mangrove forest!
