It was an amazing experience. The water was so clear and we got to see so many turtles and jellyfish. Our guide Shmitt was amazing and very knowledgeable.

An excellent morning with a great guide. We took our 3 (almost 4) year old with us and had a great time. The night before we were texted an exact time for pickup. Got picked up at our lobby and driven to the dock. We were in a very small group with only one other kayak. They got us into life jackets and into the kayaks, then a small motor boat towed us out to iguana island. We only spent maybe 20 minutes out by the iguanas, which was perfect. We walked up onto the island, saw 5-6 lizards running around, learned from our guide about the local ecology, then it was back on the kayaks to paddle to and through the mangroves. The nature/wildlife spectacle here is unmatched. We saw no joke 12-15 turtles (some may have been duplicates), a baby shark (which is coming) and a stingray (which is more rare). The turtles alone are worth it! We loved it and our kiddos did too- it was the exact right length of time for her. Nick was an awesome guide who was great with kids. He even found a baby jellyfish for her to see and a gorgeous conch shell! Three notes of advice: 1) Contact the operator directly and pay cash, don’t get stuck paying other fees 2) wear shoes or sandals that can get wet. There’s a little bit of time on iguana island where you’re walking in shin high water and over some rocks and coral. I did it barefoot and managed fine, but wished I had good water shoes or sandals 3) it is a no frills tour. No snacks, no shade, etc. You’re in the kayak, you’re paddling yourself, and you get a nice bottle of water for your efforts. Dress accordingly and prepare your kids for the day. It was perfect for us and exactly what we needed, but if you’re looking for luxury this isn’t it. If you’re looking to see the best of T&C nature and wildlife with friendly guides at a good price, this IS it.
What an awesome experience! Our guide, Smitty was great and knowledgeable about the Mangroves and Iguana Island! He made sure to get us back and forth from the islands safety and also see Sea turtles, a lemon shark, Conch and iguanas on our excursion! Highly recommend this experience!
The tour was great! Our family had such a great time. Our guide was personable, kind, and really showed us end educated us on the marine life and mangroves of Turks and Caicos!
This was my first experience, and as a solo traveler, they made everything so convenient by offering pickup and drop-off from my hotel. I can't swim, and I had never been kayaking before, but our tour guide, Amdy, made everything feel so easy and safe. I was nervous at first, but he made me feel comfortable the whole time. This was honestly the best experience I had in Turks and Caicos, and I'm so glad I did it!
this was a great trip - saw adventure (turtles and iguanas) and it was very low impact and easy to kayak for beginners. the staff were very friendly!
Our guide was fantastic and made sure we saw every sea animal there was to see. He even got excited when we happened upon a stingray and a shark.
This was one of the highlights of the trip. We saw lots of baby turtles and lemon sharks. Kayaking itself wasn’t physically difficult because they towed you across the channel to the mangroves. Guide could learn a bit more about the biology of the place but that is really my only complaint.
Our tour guide, Alonzo, was very courteous and professional from the minute we were picked up at our resort all the way thru the excursion. Alonzo gave a great tour and seeing all the turtles was a really cool experience! I would definitely recommend this tour!
Our tour guide was funny, informative and attentive.
We took the 3-hour excursion to Iguana Island and a kayaking tour to see the turtles. Even though the first time we went out we didn’t see much, Joshua handled the situation in the best possible way. When I reached out to him, he was very understanding and immediately offered us another tour for free the following day. The second trip was a great experience! Joshua is the man—very professional, friendly, and he truly cares about his customers and making sure they have a great time. I highly recommend this company, and especially Joshua. Thank you for turning the experience into such a memorable one!
Tour guide arrived late and never made contact with us. We kept getting passed around from group to group. Started 30 min late. Incompetent dinghy operator caused half of the boats to sink and several got scraped by the ship we were drifted into. They canceled the iguana beach portion and never told us. When I inquired with our guide, he said he joined the wrong group. Not our fault on any of this and we still didnt get an apology or a refund. Pick another tour group to do this excursion.
This was a really fun afternoon. Loved that they picked us up at our hotel to get to the marina. Archie, our tour guide, was fantastic! Very nice, very knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. I didn't realize how exhausting the kayaking would be, but it was worth it seeing the various sea creatures and even holding a jellyfish in our hands. Definitely worth it and would go again when back in TCI.
Great adventure for me and my two sons. Saw so much wildlife and my youngest son loved seeing all the iguanas. For the first part, they pull the kayaks with a small motor boat to iguana island, then you kayak around the mangroves. My teenager was fine with that but it was way too much for my 8 year old. It’s a full hour of kayaking. Beautiful though - just be prepared. Wear a big hat, longed sleeves, water shoes, and sunscreen! Helpful if you have a clear water proof phone protector for around your neck for photos and a dry bag for anything else. We got to see turtles swim right under our clear kayak, hold live conch and a jellyfish, and see baby sharks. Worth the cost to be immersed in nature.
We had a great time with our guide Shawn. He was very attentive to our safety and enjoyment. We saw an iguana, upside down jellyfish and many turtles. We were a small group of 6 woman which was the perfect size. I would recommend it as a fun activity. The kayaking wasn’t excessive. Stops for looking around and swimming (bring goggles if you want to get a closer look at the underwater life during the swim). We were towed over the inlet cut to the mangroves. Bring your own dry bag for water, snacks and sun screen. Do not liter.
We loved this tour and the guide was very informative. We were able to see many turtles and lemon sharks!
Incredible trip and very enjoyable experience. Staff was amazing and very kind. Very easy to get in touch with and was a great time
Best 3 hours! it was great to see so many iguanas in their natural and protected habitat on Iguana Island, and then to see so many sea turtles, and even lemon sharks and conchs in the mangroves. Our guide Darlow (“D”) was super helpful, friendly, and took good care of us, sharing fun facts, answering questions, and helping us spot turtles and sharks. It was so fun to see so many turtles as they come up for air and swim around so close to us, and with the clear water and clear kayak, the visibility was great. This is a fantastic tour, and we highly recommend this tour by Dove Clear Kayaks. Special thanks and shout out to “D” and all the guys that assisted!
Such a wonderful experience the tour is amazing. Iguanas and turtles are just around you in the bushes and in a pristine and clear water. My first time w kayak so not experince at all but the tour guide Alanzo was so helpful and kind He explained us everything about the cays and the marine life. My family had a great morning fun and adventoreus
We had an amazing day touring the mangroves in clear kayaks. Smith was an excellent guide—very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us lots of information and made the tour fun and interesting. We highly recommend this tour!
The clear kayak tour was fantastic! Marcus was an excellent tour guide and we saw so many turtles, jelly fish, a baby shark, and of course fish-the kids and I loved it. Also, iguana island was really beautiful too-such a great adventure!
very knowledgable guide- exactly as described.. relaxed and fun atmosphere, saw lots of turtles and iguanas. very well organized..
This excursion was hands-down the highlight of our trip to TCI! Not only did they figure out a way to make sure we could still go despite the rough seas along their normal pickup route during our stay, the entire expedition was so enjoyable and entertaining! Very worth the money and time. Tips: Definitely wear water shoes, bring a waterproof phone case, lots of sunscreen, and be prepared to row and get a workout if you want to see everything. If you know how to steer a kayak, you’ll have a much better time. Pros: We saw dozens of turtles, all around us, fish, jellyfish, a few baby/small sharks, and lots of birds. Bonus: Once on iguana island, we saw tons of them curious iguanas, and learned a lot from our tour guide about their history and ecology. Another couple in our group said they’d been to the other side of the Iguana island a few days prior and didn’t see any, so our guides clearly knew where the right spots were!
Our tour guide Mikey was 12/10 so knowledgeable and friendly. We saw 2 baby lemon shark, conch, so many sea turtles. We also saw a few cool fish and jellyfish! Shuttle was provided in the package and I had an absolute blast.
Great Experience!!! Loved our guide Archie ! Great vibes and tour experience of Iguana Island. Just laughs and perfect weather with clear blue water .
Great experience. We saw many turtles, including one who swam right beneath our clear kayak. Andrew (sorry if I misspelled his name) was a very attentive guide. We had fun exploring the mangroves and seeing the iguanas on Little Water Cay.
From the beginning to the end was nothing but great memories! They picked us up from our resort and the same driver dropped us off. Kindness and courtesy are big to me and I would def recommend this excursion to anyone!
We got picked up promptly from our hotel and drove down to the dock where we were pleasantly surprised that for that day and time it was just my daughter and I! It was like we had a private tour with our two guides!!! We were tethered to a jet ski and went all around and the colors of the water and the area was so beautiful and serene! Our guides were so full of knowledge about the area and animals, also offered to take our pics since I didn’t take my phone. We saw so so so many turtles, some nurse sharks, barracuda and conch. The mangroves are fascinating and this was def an excursion my daughter and I will not forget! Thanks for making this day so special!!
It was an amazing journey and experience being that close to nature had a wonderful first time experience with my wife from seeing turtles to conks to even a few small sharks. Our tour guides were experienced and provided great insight to trip. Highly recommend this company
Expect a large amount of paddling. If you are in the summer season it will be very hot. Equipment issues are a possibility
Joshua was communicative, friendly, and prompt, getting us to the tour site and back. Ted was excellent, guiding our group of 10 paddlers in 5 kayaks. Always felt safe under his watch. We saw baby sharks, conches, sea turtles, and iguanas. He was informative explaining the Mangrove ecosystem and the inhabitant wildlife. I recommend this tour.
Very relaxing and scenic outing in and around the mangroves, saw a ton of fish and turtles, even a few small sharks. Water was crystal clear, got some nice upper body exercise too. Our guide was really nice, very helpful in every way. I highly recommend this activity on your visit to north Caicos and Grace Bay beach area!
It was a great and our guide was a such a nice dude. experience but the tour started 1 hour late after insisting on picking us up at 8am, so we stood and waited in a parking lot until a bunch of other customers showed up. Be prepared to run very late.
The tour through the protected waters of the mangroves where the juvenile turtles and other wildlife shelter from larger predators was amazing. Our tour guide was safety conscious, entertaining and informative. His (stage) name was Miracle. The idea of towing us to the areas of interest also made good sense and use of time. The add-on to see the iguana island was not the highlight but it did give us extra time to enjoy more of what the islands offered and do it on ‘island time’. I have spent a lot of time on the water and was skeptical of the design of the kayaks; they are not the most robust or hydrodynamic; but in sheltered waters they provide a unique view of the undersea world and are what makes this excursion unique and awesome.
Booked online but somehow they did not have our reservation. We were asked to move the reservation to the next day but were unable to do so because we were leaving. We eventually were picked up and taken to the starting point. After waiting for another 20 minutes, our driver was unable to reach the tour guide and we were taken back to our hotel. The only reason why I didn't give one star is because I obtained my reimbursement in a timely fashion.
The tour was well organized and everyone very friendly and welcoming. We saw lots of iguanas and turtles from close by and got additional information from our tour guide. Absolutely worth every penny!
This Tour to iguana Island was amazing. We were able to see a lot of iguanas. We met big John and Drake the iguanas. I had red nail polish on and I didn’t know that the iguanas would think that my nail polish were buried so when I was taking a photo they came towards me really fast, but it was because of my nail polish. The rye to iguana Allen was great. We saw baby sharks turtles, barracuda schools, a fish during our tour. This tour was simply amazing.
So disorganized, I actually thought it was a scam until 6pm the evening before our reservation. The confirmation never mentioned a time, and the app didn’t work for selecting my hotel. Dilapidated transport to the location, dirty equipment, broken paddles, unprofessional outfit overall. We had a nice tour guide, but it wasn’t worth the stress of trying to find out any information about the itinerary. Seeing the other high reviews makes me question every tripadvisor review now.
Elvis was an incredible guide for our tour. My wife and I learned so much about the local ecology and saw so many beautiful sights. It was such a fun two hours. Highly recommend you ask for Elvin!
Picked up from the hotel, meet by Elvin and given a safety brief. Transported in a long line of clear kayak’s tied to the speed boat to get us across to the Mangroves. Elvin was incredible, his knowledge and his customer service was outstanding. Our little boy 6, was enthralled and asked so many questions which Elvin answered expertly. The tour is up there as one of the best tours we have ever done on a holiday. We saw Turtles (literally 30-40!), Puffer fish, A heron, Lots of birds and different fish, jelly fish and a Conch too. The beautiful sunset was an added extra and the trip will be talked about for many years to come. Can’t recommend this trip enough or Elvin and his expertise.
The Mangrove & Iguana Clear Kayak Tour was absolutely amazing! Our driver, Joshua, was very professional and patient, making the start of our trip seamless. But the real highlight was our tour guide, Elvin—he was beyond fantastic! I had never kayaked before, and Elvin gave us a quick and helpful lesson, along with clear safety instructions, which made me feel completely at ease. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the mangroves, sea turtles, jellyfish, and even baby sharks! Elvin's passion and expertise truly made the tour memorable. This was hands down one of the best tours I've done in Turks and Caicos, and I would absolutely do it again. Highly recommend!
We went during the low season and was the only one in the tour, Stanley our guide is very friendly. We enjoyed the "private" tour.
Stanley was the best guide ever! He went above and beyond to show us the sea creatures. We saw jellyfish, my son got to hold one, stingray, lemon shark, many turtles and conchs. We saw many iguanas on the iguana island. He was very informative and knew the history. All in all a fun adventure! Worth it!
I really had the best time evere wish i could do it all over again it was just so fun and cant waot to be back to do it again and all the guys was so nice.
Great time! Saw iguanas, sea turtles, stingrays, sharks and tons of other fish. Highly recommend this trip!
Amazing excursion!! Joshua made it easy to book and get the details and our guide Stanley was great at finding turtles, baby sharks, jellyfish and iguanas. Great way to start the day!
We had a fantastic time on our kayak excursion with this tour company! Joshua, our driver, was incredibly punctual and friendly. The best part was having the excursion all to ourselves, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our guide, Stan, who is a local, impressed us with his deep knowledge of the island. He was not only friendly but also relatable to our group. The kayaks were very comfortable, which made navigating the waters easier although attempting to take pictures was a bit more challenging (those turtles and sharks are so quick!). It was a unique experience being able to see through the kayaks into the water below. Overall, I highly recommend this tour company for their excellent service, knowledgeable guides like Stan, and the unforgettable experience they provided.
Enjoyed the kayaking and seeing turtles, but they asked us to be there 30 minutes early and then didn’t start tour until 30 minutes after the start time. And they need to have two tour guides with each group - we only had one guide with us, so when one couple capsized he left the rest of us to just hang out in the kayaks for 45 minutes while he got a new kayak for them and dealt with their issues. We just wandered around in our kayaks. Our tour guide was very nice though.
Stanley was a great guide, saw lots of aquatic life, got to swim, and took plenty of great photos and videos! Would definitely recommend!
My husband and I sank but it was fun. Tour guide Sten was awesome. We saw jelly fish, turtles and iguanas. Good experience.
