Mangrove Cay And Iguana Island Tours

This was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Mikey was great, saw lots of turtles and iguanas. Absolutely beautiful water and scenery. Highly recommend!

The experience was great. Pickup on time and the tour guide knew all about the island. We saw sea turtles, sharks, fish, jellyfish, iguanas, etc. This is the best excursion I’ve ever been on!

Wasn’t sure what I booked as their website ONLY MENTIONS WHAT YOU SEE ONCE OUR ON THE ISLAND…says NOTHING about how you get out to the island. When you try to get information on the how and the when days before the excursion to make sure it’s something you can do since their description about the excursion and how you get out to the island is nonexistent and the when on when they will pick you up is non existent they don’t communicate with you. Maybe you’ll book an excursion with them and get what you were expecting maybe you’ll book won’t but do you really want to take the chance and get billed $300 or more for an excursion you don’t go on because you’re injured and cannot get in and out of the kayak?? By the way I didn’t know it was an all kayak adventure until we showed up there at which time i immediately told them about my bad shoulder and was told they understand and would take care of everything…apologized their website wasn’t clear and for not communicating back to me….but then stuck me with the $300 charge for an excursion I wanted to go on but couldn’t (torn shoulder). Don’t risk it book through someone else who at least answers your questions and communication exists.

Had an amazing experience on this tour. Everyone was very laid back, having almost as much fun as we were. They were friendly and knowledgeable, keeping us entertained the whole time. The pick up and drop off at the hotel was on time and easy. Highly recommended!

Well done tour and a great time. We saw green sea turtles, fish, conch, iguanas and various birds. I would recommend this tour if you come to Provo.

Went with my mom and we had a great time! No need to be an expert in kayaking. Jean was great! Explained the wildlife, we got to see a conch and some sea turtles! Definitely recommend

We loved this excursion! We went with our elementary school aged kids and everyone had a great time. Our guide was Goat and he was very informative and friendly. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

Such a fun experience!!! Traveled with kids age 17 & 14 and they loved it. Saw lots of sea turtles and iguanas. The taxi there and back was super clean and friendly. Tyba was the drivers name and he was wonderful! Our tour guide was Chop. He was very knowledgeable and fun. I’m sure I’ve misspelled their names, but wanted to make sure I gave them a shout out.

Our tour forgot to pick us up so we only got to join a group for the last hour or so. Never got to see iguana island. Mangroves were cool. Would have expected at least a partial refund

Staff is very polite and knowledgeable about the trip and Iguana Island. No need to wear sneakers, flops/sandals are fine. Pickup is fairly prompt, journey start time and end are flexible due the gentle pace of the trip, so be flexible with any plans afterwards. A great experience, lots of fun and beautiful scenery. The kayaking was not intense at all. would highly recommend.

Pick up was not well organized but once we got there, everything was fantastic. Yves our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable.

Bring sunscreen. You will see turtles, sharks, iguanas and even a manta ray. You get a knowledgeable guide who will explain the mangroves also.

Great experience with our tour guide, Yves. We saw lots of Iguana on Iguana Island. In the Mangroves we saw Lemon Sharks! Back out in the open water we saw stingray, more little lemon sharks and a couple of sea turtles! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Great experience.

I highly recommend the clear bottom kayak 3hr tour to mangroves and Iguana Island. It was the perfect morning activity for this family of three from upstate NY with our 8yr old son. Island Time Tours was professional and well organized; contacted us by email and phone ahead of our tour to clearly communicate all instructions; and coordinated a smooth pickup at our hotel doorstep. The price was cheaper than many options. Our guide MARCUS was fantastic! He shared a wealth of knowledge about not o ly the plethora of sea life we saw, but also the bigger picture of the local ecosystem that supports those creatures. He made the tour fun, and safe. He gave more experienced kayakers more freedom, and more assistance to those who needed it. This is the tour to book and unforgettable experience.

If your family cannot paddle for a long time, I don’t recommend it. The tour guide was great, but we spent more time paddling to the island than being on the crowded island. You can’t just walk around the island it has a path you must follow. You will see more lizards is a zoo than on this island as it’s very touristy.

This tour was absolutely fantastic, and Mikey was an amazing guide! He taught us so much, engaged with our kids, and got everyone excited about the wildlife—including turtles, baby sharks, rays, conch, and iguanas! We had an incredible time!time!

A very fun adventure in a beautiful setting! Our guide Miracle was very personable and informative. We spent several hours exploring the mangroves and saw lots of turtles, fish, conch, jellyfish, a lemon shark and of course, the famous rock iguanas. FYI some pretty strenuous kayaking was involved. Wear water shoes and prepare to get wet. Our excursion lasted close to 4 hours. It doesn’t seem to matter which company you make your reservation with. Everyone meets up at the same place and we were grouped with people who bought their tickets from a different site.

Great time seeing wildlife and being on the water. The guide was very personable and informative. Not very intense kayaking since we were towed everywhere except amongst the mangroves.

Alvin was an exceptional tour guide and showed the island and its ecosystem off to its fullest! We were rewarded by seeing conch, turtles and a shark and really enjoyed the kayak experience.

My husband and I have been on excursions throughout many Islands, this by far was one of the best. We saw every kind of sea life imaginable. Huge turtles ( I even touched one), sharks, stingrays, conch, fish, upside down jellyfish. Not to mention all the Iguana’s on the Island. Shout out to Innocent. He was the best tour guide, extremely knowledgeable, answered all our questions and went out of his way to find all the species of Sea Life we got to enjoy. Great Excursion.

Such a fun excursion!! Andy our tour guide was awesome. We were lucky because it was only our family with him. He shared a lot of great information about the island and taught us so much about the animals that we saw. Our kids loved him as well! He made a “sand man” on the beach with my son, found a giant conch that the kids got to hold and we even hand fed iguanas! We were able to see turtles, a lemon shark and some fish as well. Would definitely recommend this tour to families who want to get off the resort for a little adventure!

The clear Kayaks were awesome. We saw many turtles, Conch and even a stingray. Iguana Island was cool and the view was amazing. Our guide was informative and very courteous. I would highly recommend this tour while visiting Turks.

Our guide, Jean (sp?) was EXCELLENT! He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and works hard to ensure that everyone on the tour has a safe and enjoyable adventure. The tour included roundtrip transportation to our resort - big plus! The water is beautiful and the wildlife is abundant. The Trip Advisor site is much more informative than TCI’s website. Booking had a few quirks but they worked diligently to take care of everything.

The guide was fantastic - he knew right where to look to find iguanas and turtles and conch, and even helped us chase down a lemon shark until every boat got to see it. I wished we'd had a dry bag with us. The only downside was that there were a lot of kayak tours and other tours all at the same time sharing the same water space - so it sometimes got a little hard to navigate.

Amazing sights with a knowledgeable and friendly guide! Menelik took us on a clear-bottomed kayak tour of Mangrove Key that stunned us. He picked the perfect time for viewing the wildlife and taught us all about their biology, ecology, and habits (along with great context on the geology and history of TCI). Don’t miss this experience on your next visit!

Beautiful experience. My friend and I had the best time! We had a wonderful tour guide (Menelik/Queso) take us through the experience. He was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about every aspect of our trip. He kept the conversation flowing and brought the energy we were looking for. During our experience, we saw native fish, birds, baby lemon sharks, iguanas, and turtles. We recommend this spot to anyone that comes to visit. As a side note, for anyone who gets a free shuttle ride over, we recommend asking for Tyga. He's a great driver with lots of knowledge about the island!

Beautiful trip - my friend and I were enthused! The water was beautiful and the wildlife was incredible. We saw a baby lemon shark, schools of fish, birds, conches, and turtles. We had the best tour guide leading us through the experience. Menelik (Queso) was high energy and made the tour so much more fun. He cracked jokes with us, was knowledgeable about the islands/Mangrove, and checked up on us several times. Our driver was also great - we highly recommend asking for Tyga! He was fun and had lots to tell us about the island.

Brilliant tour with our fantastic guide Bryson !! He fearlessly fended off sharks and rampant turtles while we kayaked through the mangroves …. He saved us from rabid conch too ! Our hero !! 😂

Brycen, our tour guide, was very courteous, informative, and knowledgeable about all of the surroundings and was extremely helpful. We were able to see lots of wildlife, and had a great time. Would highly recommend.

The tour guide Money was great. Very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy what he does for a living, which is great. The taxi there and back was clean, on time and the driver was polite. It was really lovely being towed behind a boat to get to the islands as paddling there and back would have been too much. We saw turtles, baby lemon sharks, iguanas and baby conch. A great time was had by us.
