We absolutely LOVED our eco-kayak trip with Big Blue Collective! Nelson and Dray were incredible guides - so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the marine life, mangroves, and the history of Turks and Caicos. They were incredibly attentive and helpful and they customized the experience to make it perfect for us. We never felt rushed and were able to take our time exploring, which made the experience feel so much more personal and special. We were lucky enough to see so many incredible lemon sharks and turtles, and getting to experience them in their natural environment was truly unforgettable. Nelson and Dray had such an amazing understanding of the area and were able to share so much fascinating information about the ecosystem and the islands. We can't wait to come back.

My family and I had a wonderful experience with Mikey and Cheyenne as our guides! They were knowledgeable and very kind. We did the 4 hour eco tour of Mangrove Cay and Little Island. It's been a while since I kayaked and towards the end Cheyenne had to tow me for the last part. That girl saved me! Mikey and Cheyenne were easy to talk to and very laid back. Huge plus for my introverted family. We specifically booked with Blue Collective knowing the tour groups would be smaller. My son remembered so many facts that he learned from Mikey throughout the tour that he just started spitting them back on the way home (car ride and airplane, lol). Thanks to Mikey and Cheyenne for making our TCI trip so memorable! We would definitely book with Big Blue Collective again, and again!
We went out for our ocean kayak with Ryan and Cheyanne, and the experience was absolutely 5 stars. Both guides were attentive, funny, responsible, and aware. We saw sufficient wildlife in their natural habitat, and were educated with respect to maneuvering in it. I cannot recommend this experience enough - they were aware of making the experience special for us and educating us on our impact within the larger ecosystem.
Mikey was FANTASTIC. SO knowledgeable about the history of Turks and Caicos and the animal and marine life. We had an absolute blast and would book again!
Amazing trip, we had our family from England and did the Kayaking 4 hour eco trip, our guide was Ryan who was great guy and really knowledgeable. We had kayaking saw lots of turtles lemon shark jellyfish iguanas and a blue crab. It truely was a wonderful day and as a family made some lovely memories thanks Ryan and Big blue collective.
We went out for a 4hr kayak eco tour with Mikey as our guide. The paddle started at 830am, scheduled to optimize access to the mangroves based on the tides and to avoid the crowds. Well what an experience. There were 4 in our group plus Mikey. The morning paddle was quiet and peaceful … so many turtles, birds, fish and small lemon sharks. There was no one there but our little group. Would highly recommend this activity if you’re interested in learning a lot about the flora and fauna from an engaging marine biologist while enjoying the beauty of the island.
Mitch, our guide, was fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great eye for finding the wildlife! Big blue collective has a deep care and respect for maintaining the beautiful T&C ecosystem. This is a small, personalized tour and was worth every penny! I would definitely do another Big Blue Collective tour in T&C!!
We went on the 4 hr kayak eco tour with Big Blue Collective. It was by far the best kayaking experience we have had in Turks and Caicos. Our guide Mikey was very knowledgeable in marine biology and shared lots of interesting information with his curious kayakers. He spotted the anticipated wildlife that we hoped to see. Topped off with a swim in the crystal clear waters of a deserted beach and the delightful snack of fresh fruit and local baked goods was a bonus. The marina and the kayaks were very clean and comfortable. Thank you Mikey and Big Blue Collective!
We had a fabulous tour led by the incomparable Mikey. It was a fun and fascinating tour starting with a challenging (at times) paddle due to wind, followed by serene mangroves, turtles, a lemon shark, heron, iguanas, bright blue sea, white sand, delicious snacks and upside down jellyfish. This tour had it all. We highly recommend.
Hugo was a fabulous guide! We enjoyed a quieter tour and saw tons of turtles and a couple of baby lemon sharks. Amazing experience we won’t forget. Thank you, Big Blue Collective for offering a less “rowdy” experience!
These guys were amazing! I haven't had the best kayaking experiences before - this trip changed my mind about kayaking. The guides were very supportive - we felt safe despite our inexperience. They were also super informative about the local flora and fauna and history of the islands, not to mention good natured. They claimed it was perfect kayaking weather and I believe them. Gave us a great dinner recommendation to boot.
Janie, our guide, was top notch! A marine biologist, she is super knowledgeable about the local ecosystem and took us on an amazing tour to Iguana Island and through the mangroves, where we spotted lots of turtles and fish. Highly recommend!!!
This was so much better than the snorkel trip we did a year ago with another company! Having only four of us on board a small boat vs 20 packed on a large boat made it very personal. Having Mikey as our expert guide made all the difference. He was terrific snorkeling with us, pointing out what to see (turtles, stingray, fish, squid), while on the big boat trip we did last year they just told us to jump in the water by ourselves. Then Mikey led us to the much less traveled side of Iguana Island to point out more interesting stuff. Next year when we return we will definitely use Big Blue Collective again!
Great day of exploring with Mikey. Well organized, informative, and beautiful. Looking forward to our next tip and next adventure.
My best friend and I loved the 4-hr Eco Tour with Ketlyn! We saw sea turtles, a lemon shark, and lots of iguanas. He was a very patient and informative guide, who gave us plenty of time to enjoy going at our own pace, including wading in the beautiful turquoise water. We never felt rushed and we enjoyed every minute! The snacks were great and we appreciated the company's commitment to sustainability, including using reusable water bottles for us, not plastic bottles. Ketlyn was such a nice person and we highly recommend a tour with him if you want a fun, informative, and relaxing kayak trip!
Mike and Senley provided an amazing and informative experience! Highly recommended! We did the 4 hour kayak and while it might be a challenge for non-kayakers, it was a great time! We saw lemon sharks and so many turtles in the mangroves and Iguana island was so fun!
Absolutely amazing and highly recommended. We saw lemon sharks, sea turtles and iguanas. Mikey did a fantastic job telling us detailed stories of the history of the island and the biology. The mangroves were stunning as was the beach. Would strongly suggest you ask for him and Sendly. Will do it again.
Use Blue Collective for all activities on Turks and Caicos. Do the kayak tour with Cal. Avoid the clear bottom bathtubs.
We had the pleasure of kayaking the mangroves with Emily. She was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot that we didn’t know. It was wonderful seeing all the turtles, a lemon shark, fish, birds, and we even saw a barracuda. Highly recommended booking with Big Blue Collective.
We are a family of 5 - parents and three teenagers. All of us agree that the 4 hour Eco Kayak trip with Big Blue Collective with our guide Mikey was the BEST excursion we ever went on. It was the highlight of our trip. The kayaks were comfortable and easy the handle (not clear kayaks). We started out in the mangroves and it was spectacular. We saw so many green sea turtles that I lost count. It was a dream come true! We saw a brown pelican and willets. Mikey was so knowledgeable about all the plants and animals and was a great guide. He took us to Little Water Cay to see the rock iguanas and upside down jelly fish and then through a little path and saw half moon bay. We had the whole area to ourselves. We loved every minute of this trip! The snack was perfect and we felt very safe the whole time. I loved seeing all the different shades of turquoise water that we traveled through. Sounds silly unless you see it in person. It was spectacular! Best day ever! Highly recommend!!
I’ve done this kayak tour four times. I try and go every time I’m in tci. Bailey was my favorite tour guide yet. Very knowledgeable about all the wildlife. Very patient with kids (and adults lol). My favorite thing about this tour is the mangroves and seeing the baby turtles. We saw so many animals today: turtles, sting ray, osprey, sand pipers, barracuda, herons, cow fish, snapper, upside down jellyfish, needlefish, and a little dog named Luna hahaIguana Island is fun too and a great workout. I very much recommend choosing Big Blue Collective over any other company. They are much more knowledgeable and eco friendly. Book with BBC, you’ll be glad you did. Highly recommended.
The Eco kayak tour was fantastic and made all the better by Mikey, our guide. Mikeys passion for the environment was really clear and his knowledge was amazing. Highly recommended. We are a family with three kids (10, 14 & 17)
Wonderful tour! Our guide, Ketlyn is awesome!! We learned so much about Turks and Caicos and the eco system in the mangroves. We highly recommend taking this tour! Thank you, Ketlyn for a great experience!
We had an amazing time. We saw lots of wildlife. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the mangrove ecosystem. It was the highlight of our trip.
We had a large group attend, courtesy of our company, and we very much enjoyed the experience with Mikey. We strive for eco conscious solutions as a company and this tour aligned with our efforts. We saw other companies with fancy clear kayaks being pulled through the mangroves but this is a national park and a very delicate eco system serving as a nursery for wildlife. I appreciated the education from our guide, the turtle sightings, and the workout!!
Great time with Kat. He showed us sharks iguanas and turtles and we enjoyed the mangroves. He was patient with our kayaking skills. Nice snacks. Good friendly service. We recommend!
Had the pleasure of Mikey as our guide. What an amazing experience. Not only did we see turtles, sharks and the wildlife of the mangroves but we had the pleasure of all the knowledge that Mikey had on the tour. His passion and love for the environment was overwhelming. Can’t thank him enough.
The tour was excellent. A small group of just 5 people, very nice and experienced tour guide Emily. We saw a lot of turtles, barracudas (small) and iguanas.
This tour and company are AMAZING!!! Kevins was our eco guide, his energy and insight was spectacular! We highly recommend this company, especially with their care for the ecosystem!
We did the two-hour tour with G as our guide. She was professional, friendly, and a good teacher. We saw some young lemon sharks, turtles, and fish while learning about the mangrove ecosystem and its importance. Highly recommended!
We actually just did self-guided kayaking. The check-in phase was straightforward, all of the staff were so very friendly and helpful. Guidance was spot-on, and equipment all worked great. It happened to be an incredibly busy day for kayak tours (a Thursday in mid-March), so it was actually crowded in the mangrove areas, but there was plenty of space outside of there to explore. Lovely trip through a great outfitter!
Bailey led a great tour! It was nice to learn a little about the geography and history of the islands and about the ecology of the mangroves and the iguanas first hand. The water here is beautiful and the kayaking is smooth and relatively easy. Highly recommend.
Drei and Janey were wonderful guides for our four hour trip through the mangroves and islands. I was especially impressed that this company has hired marine biologists to help as the tour guides. It added so much to the experience. Kayaks were sound and solid, not like the clear bath tubs we saw other groups using. The guides were super friendly and accommodating and made for a great trip. We used the same group for our snorkel trip and were not disappointed.
We did the 4 hour Kayak Eco tour with the Big Blue Collective. Emily and Kevin were our guides and it was an amazing experience! They were both very passionate about the island and the area. They had tremendous knowledge of nature, the plants, and all the wildlife we saw. They specialize in small groups and eco friendly. They brought water and snacks for us and walked us through how to kayak and were great with everyone. I can't recommend it enough.
We had an amazing time on our kayak excursion. Tom - our guide, was very knowledgeable and has a great personality. I highly recommend Big blue and look forward to another adventure with them.
Kayaking here in the mangroves is a treat with all of the green turtles and other marine life. Our guide was a knowledgeable and responsible biologist with plenty of information to share regarding the local environment. This company emphasizes respect and education of the marine life and fauna which was commendable. My only complaint would be that at times there were so many kayaks around us that it felt like a highway, however they did their best to keep us out of the traffic, and this was not something that they could control.
Did the half day kayak tour and it was amazingly awesome! G was so informative and educational without ever being boring. What a beautiful way to spend a day on the water. We really, really enjoyed it.
My family had an awesome time on the kayak eco tour with our very kind and informative guides, Mikey and Ali! We saw SO many sea turtles and enjoyed learning so much about the aquatic nature in the area. The beach was stunning and we had it all to ourselves! I highly recommend this tour to any fellow nature lover looking to see and learn about all of the amazing biodiversity the mangroves off Provo have to offer!
Mikey was amazing! He knew so much about the mangroves and the ecosystem. We learned a lot and got to see a beautiful place. Mikey slayed the house down!
The mangroves are truly beautiful and navigating through the "tunnels" was exciting. Our guides Hugo and Amelie have extremely been extremely kind, attentive, knowledgeable and respectful of both the nature and the prople. We 've been lucky to spot baby sharks, multiple tortoises and a baby baracuda. We highly recommend the excursion!
Great opportunity to be on the water with a small group and also get some exercise. The tour involves crossing a moderate channel with wind so relative fitness and commitment is required. It starts in the Mangroves which is easier and very interesting with some info about the ecosystem. After paddling to "Iguana Island" there's a moderate walk and a chance to relax on an empty beach with great views. Then the group paddles back, with some effort involved. The guide (Mikey) was very knowledgeable and friendly, supportive. Highly recommended.
Well organized, friendly and very knowledgeable. Loved the tranquility and nature in the Mangroves. Very interesting would highly recommend to anyone.
Mangroves, young turtles, conch, and upside-down jelly fish are worth a closer look. You’ll get to paddle, walk and swim. Mickie, our guide, was interesting, knowledgeable, and fun. We were grateful for the experience.
Knowing that early November is not the busiest time of year on TCI, I fully expected that if this tour did not reach a certain enrollment threshold, it would be cancelled. Instead, Out we went-just me and the guide and it was great! I felt completely safe with my guide (whose name, I apologize, I've forgotten... but she was Canadian,) she made sure I saw everything I stated that I needed to see (sharks and turtles) in order to make my trip to the islands complete, and was quite pleasant to chat with. I will recommend Big Blue Collective to everyone who asks about my trip!
OMgosh! This excursion was incredible! Ally, our guide, was absolutely amazing! She was SO knowledgeable and super friendly. During our outing, we saw two stingrays, many seaturtles, and seven sharks (harmless--baby lemon and adult nurse). We did let a little rain put a damper on our fun! I would highly recommend!
Get up early for the Kayak Eco Tour! What a beautiful morning kayaking through the mangroves to see turtles, baby lemon sharks, stingrays, birds, and iguanas on "their" island. We highly recommend this peaceful excursion.
We ended up being the only ones on the tour and had a fabulous time with our guide, Hugo. He took his time to tell us about the animal life and plants. We saw turtles, sharks and some baby barracudas. All were friendly but in a I-won't-bite-you-kind of way. Highly recommended.
We had a great time on our Kayak tour of the mangroves. Our guide was informative and helpful as we kayaked. We saw many fish, a baby shark, conch and a turtle.
Whether you’ve never ocean kayaked before or are an old pro, Mitch will get you geared up in either a double or solo kayak (your choice) and off to explore the white and red mangroves across the way and learn how they protect the area against erosion and the lessons learned in other parts of the world where they’ve been removed for development. There you may see turtles, conchs, and pelicans. Then off to Iguana Island—a reserve for the native Iguana population—where you’ll learn about how they survive without a source of fresh water. In total, about 8km (5 miles) of paddling to work off some of that resort excess! Highly recommended.
Excellent experience with great views of the mangroves and all of the wildlife in them. Even though it was very windy our tour was great and we saw so many things. Remember to bring plenty of sunscreen and bug spray just in case.
