My family and I booked the half day reef snorkel tour with Ritz Carlton - Turks and Caicos Watersports this October. We have tried out lots of different tours as my family has been coming to the island for 30 years, and this experience was one of the worst. The initial booking experience was awful, and we were overcharged $60 for “late cancellation insurance” which we didn’t want and specified that. When the bill came through and it was $60 extra we were told “too bad”, no offer for compensation. We were also told there would be 20 people on the catamaran (Lady Grace) however it was absolutely packed with 60 people! This made for a very uncomfortable journey with a lot of families relegated to indoor seating as there wasn’t enough room on the decks. We wouldn’t have booked this if we knew how many people were actually going to be onboard, we have never been on such a packed tour before. The crew were friendly but kept very busy trying to wrangle so many guests, so there wasn’t much interaction. Captain Roger was dismissive and particularly unfriendly and mostly kept to his area. What was extremely disappointing was that it was meant to be a 3 stop tour (snorkelling, half moon bay and iguana island) but in the end we only had time for two stops so they skipped iguana island. They actually told us half moon bay was iguana island but it isn’t, which my family and I know as we have been there many times - when we queried this with the Captain we were brushed aside. The food was very bad, sad sandwiches, a cold pasta salad and a hunk of chicken meat per person which was cold, and very small portions, probably trying to stretch for the number of guests. The only reason this wasn’t 1 star is because the staff were friendly and obviously worked hard, and Leeward Reef (the snorkelling stop) was beautiful as always. But not nearly as intimate as it should be with 60 others splashing around.
We had a great experience on the Deluxe Half Day Reef Snorkel aboard The Princess Grace catamaran with Caicos Luxury Charters! The water was very choppy that day, so unfortunately we weren’t able to snorkel at the reef. However, the crew made the best of the conditions and we were still able to spend a good amount of time at Noah’s Ark, which the kids really enjoyed. We were able to snorkel there as well. There wasn’t nearly as much marine life as we probably would have seen at the reef, but it was better than nothing, and just being able to get in the water and enjoy it was a good experience. After Noah’s Ark, we dropped anchor near an island and had a really good lunch. They served jerk chicken, pesto pasta, wraps, finger sandwiches, cookies, and plenty of drinks. We then headed to Iguana Island, where we explored, saw a ton of iguanas, and found quite a few shells. The crew was knowledgeable, friendly, and absolutely amazing throughout the entire trip. Even though the weather and water conditions prevented us from doing everything that was originally planned, they still made sure we had a great experience. Overall, we had an amazing time and I would definitely recommend Caicos Luxury Charters and The Princess Grace to anyone visiting Turks and Caicos!
Crew was great!!! We had a great time. The island tour was amazing!
We had the most incredible snorkle on the big reef here. Fantastic array of colorful fish and some reef sharks, giant sting rays and an eel. The Princess Grace yacht was fantastic and the crew was exemplary. Great service and superb hospitality
We booked the lady Grace for a half day charter - snorkeling and visit to iguana island. At first I was surprised, expecting something a little more intimate with less people, but the day turned out great. Captain Tim and crew worked like clockwork, and did a completely fantastic job. The experience was totally worth it! My 2 cents would be to be clear about the expectations (number of people, etc), and maybe a little quieter music. Thanks crew!
This is the third time we’ve had a half day private charter and all of them were with Captain Wesley! The staff is fantastic, the water is beautiful and you just see so much more of the country!
If you are visiting Turks and Caicos, booking a charter with Captain Brian and Oscar is an absolute must. We did the 4-hour tour and were blown away by how much we were able to see and do. The Captian Brian and Oscar were incredibly knowledgeable and so personable that they made us feel right at home the second we stepped on board. They shared details about the areas we travel buy and insider info about the island that we never would have discovered on our own. The snorkeling was absolutely amazing, but the real magic happened when we crossed paths with some friendly dolphins! We also took a fantastic tour of Iguana Island and a stop at the famous Noah's Ark. It felt like a perfectly packed, seamless adventure. I cannot recommend this crew enough—if you get the chance to book with them, do it!
This is the best private tour we have ever experienced, first class service
My husband and I booked a 1/2 day charter with our friends and it truly was the best boat experience we have ever had in TCI! The boat was stunning and of course, the scenery was gorgeous but what really made it extra special for us was the wonderful hospitality that Captain Ron and Josimar showed to us. We knew we were in the best of hands from the moment we stepped on board. Captain Ron showed us the very best parts of TCI (half moon day, iguana island, the shipwreck) and Jos had great stories and kept the prosecco flowing! Captain Ron let us DJ which was awesome so we had some excellent music and lots of laughs all around. It truly was the best boat day we have ever had here and that is saying a lot since my husband and I visit TCI 2x a year. We will 100% be booking Captain Ron and Jos again on our next Axopar outing!!
We had a fantastic experience with Caicos Luxury Charters! The boat was beautiful and it was such a great way to see the island! It was a very fair price for all that was included! The tour was 4 hours which was a perfect amount of time. The captain Stacey and Josimar were a lot of fun and were so great in giving us recommendations and explaining each stop!
Our half-day boat trip was absolutely amazing and easily one of the highlights of our vacation. The water was crystal clear, and the snorkeling spot was perfect for seeing fish up close. The floating obstacle course was a surprise hit and kept everyone laughing and challenged. The drinks were cold, the food was fresh, and everything was set up so we could relax and enjoy the day without any stress. The boat was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to move around. Captain Tyreek and second mate Trey were outstanding. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel safe, fun, and memorable. I would recommend this trip to anyone.
We went out on a rainy day. Captain Tarick found great areas to avoid the rain and made what could have been a bad day, a wonderful day. The sandbar we went to was unbelievable and the team was amazing. Thank you!
Captain Timmy was great. We felt very safe on the boat… as our tour date was moved due to weather. The pick up location had to change last minute as well - but they sent a car right away to get us and communicated with us very well and consistently. We saw many very cool places, got to enjoy the water, sand bars, photo ops, and were told cool info on the islands. We paid extra for a packed lunch for the half day which was nice… the music was great too!! Super fun. We did skip the tiki bar at the end because we had kids and were tired but it looked super fun and many boats were there enjoying the space! Would highly recommend.
Had the best time! Captain T and Charles were absolutely wonderful! Such a great way to explore the coast of the Islands. Saw family of dolphins, sea turtles, and soaked in the warm sun!! Highly recommend!!
We booked a half day (afternoon) charter on the Caicos Express 37' Axopar, and it did not disappoint. The boat was fantastic, and our crew "The Big Cheese" and Oscar (Big Oscar as he is now to be known) were incredible. Very knowledgeable of the island, TCI history and took us to a secluded snorkeling spot where we saw sea turtles, squid, sting rays, and various species of fish. Overall an incredible day, and the rum punch wasn't bad either.
We had an amazing time with captain Big Cheese and mate Oscar. They took us around the island showing us hot spots to explore - Iguana Island, Noah’s Art bar, and the reef for snorkeling. They were fun, great bartenders and very accommodating. The boat was also very fancy and new. I’d highly recommend a private charter with this company!
Fantastic, relaxing experience with views you cannot beat! Crew was friendly and informative! Boat was in great shape and comfortable.
We recently booked a half-day boat charter with Caicos Luxury Boat Charter, and I have to say, it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Turks and Caicos. Tarick and Oscar were our captains, and they were amazing from start to finish. They were so professional, kind, and accommodating throughout the trip. You could tell they genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. We usually go with a different charter company when we’re in Provo, but after this experience, my partner and I both agreed...we’re switching over for good. The boat was beautiful, the service was top-notch, and they struck the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. Whether we were cruising the turquoise waters, snorkeling, or just soaking it all in, they made sure we felt completely taken care of. Huge thank you to Tarick and Oscar for such a memorable day—we’ll definitely be booking with you again next time we’re on the island!
Captain Brian and Zeto were awesome, as was the Pineapple Express. We weren’t into snorkeling so they adapted and took us to different islands to lounge around in beautiful water and just chill - exactly what we needed. The guys were so accommodating, and the afternoon was perfect.
We had 6 adults and 5 kids, ages 3-8 for half a day. We had the best time. Our favorite stop was sand dollar cove. We anchored and stayed a good while so the kids could swim. The captain, Wesley let each of the kids steer the boat! Plenty of drinks and snacks to go around with music to tour around. Highlight of our weeklong vacation. They think of absolutely everything to make it fun and are great ambassadors for TCI.
We had the best tour with Lickson and our captain on the axopar. Perfect itinerary with some brief snorkeling, beautiful sandbar, iguana island etc. The rum drinks were fantastic. We were picked up right on the beach in front of our hotel Wymara. Drinks (alcoholic and not) were provided along with towels. We asked and brought our own snacks since we just did a half day afternoon tour. Would highly recommend this charter if you are looking for a luxury experience and hitting all the key places at your own pace!
My husband and I were staying at the Ritz Carlton on Turks & Caicos and wanted to explore more of the area by boat so we booked the 4 hour Private 37' Axopar Charter boat for $2,400 + gas (about $3k all in before tip) starting at 8:30am. It showed up exactly on time and the boat looked brand new it was in such good condition. Our guides, Charles & Tarique, were professional, fun, and very helpful. We had 4 stops during our experience: 1. Sandbars - we asked to see the beautiful sandbars you see all over the internet and they delivered! There were tons of shells (which our guides help collect & clean for us), crystal clear waters, and a pristine strip of sand we were able to explore. They suggested doing this stop first to avoid having to share with other tour boats so we had it all to ourselves! 2. Snorkeling a Steam Boat Shipwreck - yes, this was as cool as it sounds. A great spot for novice snorkelers, this shipwreck was only in about 10-15 ft of water so it was very easy to swim to shore to fix your mask or take a break. The wreck is surrounded by lots of pretty fish and the location of the wreck is right next to a secluded beach with small picturesque sand cliffs. There are lots of stone stacks along the cliffs if you want to leave your mark. 3. Iguana Island & Half Moon Cay - we stopped at Iguana island and walked through the brush to get to Half Moon Cay for some swimming. We did get to see lots of iguanas (which will charge but not actually attack you) but make sure you bring thick soled sandals since the terrain is a little rougher than just sand to get to the beach on the other side. Of all the stops, this was our least favorite because it was a bit crowded, there was some trash scattered around that had been left over from other tourists, and the sand was hot and uneven to trek through to get to the beach. Even still, we were glad we saw it. 4. Snorkeling the Reef - this was amazing. If you enjoy snorkeling and want to see some beautiful coral and colorful fish, this is the place to go. It’s apparently the 3rd largest reef in the world and it’s teeming with wildlife. Just be prepared, we did see a nurse shark (about 5 ft long). It completely ignored us but it was still a bit scary when it came out of nowhere unexpectedly. Seriously this is some of the best snorkeling you’ll ever get to do… we even thought it was better than the reef in the Maldives and rivaled the snorkeling we did in Bora Bora. Lastly, a note on our guides (Charles & Tarique) - they went above and beyond! They took pictures, collected our shells, helped clean a giant conch shell we found, played great music, and continuously checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time. They provided us with cold drinks, fresh water rinse offs, towels, and were fun to chat with. They were knowledgeable about the area, answered all our questions, and were happy to pivot when we asked to change our last destination (originally they planned to take us to the floating tiki bar but we don’t drink and asked for a different plan so they took us to the reef). They were also very helpful when my snorkeling mask leaked and I struggled to get onto the boat (the ladder is tougher to climb than you think when it’s in the water). They also had a very calming reaction when we saw the shark and I got a bit scared. Most notably, when they saw dolphins, they pointed them out and slowed the boat so we could watch them jump in the wake - it was amazing! If you are debating which charter to take for a 1/2 day of adventure, we highly recommend this company and suggest you request Charles & Tarique as your guides!
Had wonderful experience going out on half day excursion. Celebrating wedding anniversary in the very best of ways along the coast lines of Provo and seeing south shore and over to Parrot Cay. Dreamy fabulous views and the very best of crews. Highly recommend.
The trip was fantastic. Captain Brian and Oscar were great hosts, welcoming and professional. We saw and did so much in the 4 hours including beautiful snorkelling on Leeward Reef. An unforgettable experience!
We had an incredible time on our half-day private boat tour with Caicos Luxury Charters! We were on a 37 ft boat which was perfect for us. Captain Wesley and Oscar Ziki took great care of us as we snorkeled, visited a remote beach, and stopped by a Tiki bar! We can't recommend this enough!
