You’ll definitely won’t see the flamingo up close, but it’s worth a quick stop as the overlook doesn’t have any entrance fee and is found right the main Whitney highway on North Caicos.
Beautiful water colors and stunning views as you climb the rock.
This is the only cave ( other than the nearby open gallery Indian cave) in the Turks and Caicos Island open to tourism. There’s been very little actual access development done to the cave, mainly a stone path leading into the system m. This cave is interesting, but does not offer any particularly unique or impressive features when compared to other caves found throughout the world.

The tour was great! Charles was an amazing tour guide!
Beautiful views of North and Middle Caicos. Lunch was great and the tour was very informative and scenic.
We were disappointed in this Excursion because we did not get to see the important sites. Our guide Charles told us that on the off season Wade Plantation was not on the tour. Really? We were unable to see Conch Bar Caves because the gates were locked when we got there. I'm sure Charles knew that he was to call and have them open but he had no intention of us seeing them. We were supposed to eat at a fancy restaurant overlooking the ocean but it is off season so we ate at a roadside diner. We paid $200 extra for the tour because no one else signed up.. ($896.00 plus tip for a total of $996.00) This is not a good value considering that the most important sites (the Hermitage sites that charged entrance fees that were included in the tour price) were avoided.. We were dropped off at the dock at 2:10 for our all day tour. I can't help but think that this had something to do with the fact that we are senior citizens. We were received a partial refund when our resort concierge intervened but the hassle was not worth the aggravation.
Amazing people that couldn’t be more helpful. Charles was our guide for the day and there wasn’t anything he didn’t know. Loved seeing the Island.
Great tour of North and Middle Caicos. I ended up having a private tour by Charles, my fantastic tour guide. Some highlights were Flamingo Pound, Horseshoe Beach, Bambarra Beach, Indian Cave and the beautiful Dragon Cay. Highly recommend.
Such a great trip with Evan’s and captain john. We found many conch shells and went to an amazing island after for great pictures while they made ceviche with our found conch
Danny and Rashey were great tour guides! They read the audience , noticed there were several kids on the excursion and they tailored the trip accordingly. Our girls had an absolute blast. We would definitely recommend this trip. Look forward to doing it again in the near future.
Exceptional guide who was knowledgeable and intertaining. We saw various portions of two islands and gain a historical perspective
We paid for treaure hunt, plantation and farm ( whuch included an admission fee. We did none of these things. The otter 2 couples with us each had booked different tours- one snorkling- which they didnt do. It seems like Charles just took 3 different bookings and put us all together and dud whatever he wanted. Flamigos were also not visible without binoculars and even then barely.
Wonderful day, Private tour. Charles was exceptional providing us historical perspective visiting his beautiful North and Middle Caicos islands. Mudjin Harbor lunch and beach were fantastic. Conch caves were fascinating and fun to visit. Would definitely recommend if you want a day off Providenciales.
Nice to experience the other islands. Charles was a wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide. The caves were very interesting, and we had a great tour guide there, Jennifer. The beaches were beautiful. The lunch was good. Charles was flexible and took us to some additional spots as time allowed.
What an excellent trip we had. We were guided along by Charles who showed us the ins and outs of both North and Middle Caicos islands. The history he shared was fantastic and the views at Mudjin Harbor were almost unreal. Learning through getting to know other cultures and histories is priceless. We enjoy that the most. Thank you Charles! You are the best! Your friends from Warsaw, Poland.
The Tour was excellent !! Our guide Charles was extremely knowledgeable about the area and the history and knew every detail of any questions you might have !
The tour itself with Charles was absolutely wonderful. This issue we had with communication before the tour occurred, which is why I have chosen 3 stars. I reached out to the tour company multiple times asking about meeting and how to get ferry information. We ended up paying for ferry tickets which should have been included in our tour. They texted me at 9:30am when I was already on the ferry. No direction or response and made it not an enjoyable experience due to no direction. I loved Charles and the tour itself but tour was pricey enough without having to come out of pocket another $120 for ferry tickets that should have been included.
Our driver and guide - Charles - is very knowledgeable and informative! We learned so much about the history of TCI and the people who live there.
Charles was a great tour guide. The caves were fascinating and the beaches were remarkable. The lunch at Dragon Qay was also very good, which was a little surprising because the view was also very good.
Great tour! Charles, our guide, was a local to the area and had a lot of great information regarding history, culture, and specifics to the islands. Although it was raining, they kept our tour reservations as we were leaving the next day and could not reschedule. Charles made the best of it with his stories, humor, and flexibility. We drove the road by the shore of Bottle Creek which was amazing. The sun out would have made it next level, but still beautiful.
Granted September is low season - but we signed up for this tour and excited to see two other islands. The tour was cancelled due to lack of people - which we can understand- but we weren’t notified until 10 minutes before our scheduled pickup time. We had reached out about a pickup question - and that’s when we were told. It seems like they would have a pretty clear sense at close of business the night before that there wasn’t enough people. It was disappointing (And yes we did refunded)
Very different day than our boat excursions, but loved our guide Charles and the whole family really enjoyed the day. We got picked up and ferried to North Caicos and then went to middle Caicos. As a group, we decided to skip the plantation as it had rained, was muddy and full of mosquitos, but got to tour the island communities and see some other cool spots. We all loved the cave and so many stunning / beautiful beaches that were basically empy! Glad we had sunscreen and bug spray! Wish we had beach shoes/ flip flops-- the cave had slippery parts, but otherwise flip flops would have been better for the beach (we all had sandy socks at the end of the day!) Would definitely recommend for something different to see and do!
So cool to see the other, under developed islands. Beautiful culture and wish I could've explored there for longer! Charles was a great guide, very informative.
This tour to North and middle was amazing. We saw Bambara beach, Mudjin harbor, lunch was amazing at a local restaurant. Charlie our guide was informative and changed it up for us when we wanted. He made the trip, get Charlie if u can! Caribbean Cruisin went out of their way to get us on this tour when our hotel failed us. The staff is amazing, especially the lady at the checkin. The owner checked on our experience, they picked us up and dropped back at hotel included. I will book everything with Caribbean Cruisin when I definitely return to Turks and Caicos! Thanks for getting us there!! 💙💙
The discovery treasure hunt north & Middle caicos was great. Get to learn and discover the beauty of the siter Islands. The Tour guide Mr Charles was great, professional, knowledgeable ,friendly and provide snacks and refreshments for us along the way. Food was great at the conch bar restaurant. Overall everything was perfect 10/10
The whole family really enjoyed this excursion. It exceeded expectations in several areas. The first stop was the plantation which was great for pictures and a history lesson. The Conch Caves were grand and a delight for adults and kids. Lunch at Dragon Cay was a stunning view of the ocean and Mudjin Harbor is otherworldly and pictures don't do it justice. Charles was a great guide, always calm and easy going with all the questions. Highly recommend this for a different view of the Turks and Caicos environment.
There was some confusion with our reservation but they took care of us. It meant we were lucky to get Betty-a wonderful guide who took great care of us. She was really fun, passionate about the islands, and very knowledgeable. She made the day special. We enjoyed seeing these islands and learning about life there.
They cancelled the tour at 9pm the night before the tour. They didn’t give us enough notice to book something else for the next day.
Beautiful experience! The day was fantastic, the very friendly staff accompanied us throughout the day to discover this magnificent area. Everything was perfectly organized, the hotel pick-up, the Ferry Boat and the transportation with the guide. Super recommended !
Great trip to North and Middle Caicos Islands and the highlight of our vacation. My husband and I wanted to see another island besides Provo and this tour was perfect! We were driven in a comfortable van and provided information and historical facts along the way by Charles our very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. The plantation and caves were very interesting and could have been its own tour. We had fresh fish at a local restaurant overlooking the water and then spend time at Mudjin Harbor which was the most beautiful and awe inspiring beach we have ever seen. Could have spent another 6 hours on the island and will the next time we visit. Thanks!
Great tour! Our guide, Charles shared some really interesting facts about the history of those islands and his own ancestry stories. It's definitely a must to have a guide when you visit those sites since it add alot to the tour. Price may seems a little expensive but it's worth every penny! The caves are impressive, the plantation is extremely interesting (thanks to Charles with all his knowledge about this site) and Mudjin Harbor is for sure the most beautiful place of TCI! The food was delicious and we were offered soft drink and water throughout the day, no need to bring yours. Highly recommend, time at each sites are just perferctly planned. Thank you again for this perfect day!
Charles, our tour guide, was fantastic! So knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Every stop - plantation, bat cave, beach, flamingo, luncheon spot- was so unique. A truly memorable experience, a definite must.
Charles' history of the Wade's plantation. Delicious lunch at the Dragon reef. Conch bar cave and Eddie. Leaning about the Lukaya people.
My husband booked this trip for us and we immediately received a call advising us that the trip would be pushed back by 1 day based on the weather. We were given the opportunity to cancel or accept the date change. We agreed to the date change and were told the time to be at the pickup location. All went well for the greater part of the trip. Charles, our guide was great and very informative. Due to unforeseen issues with a guest, the tour didn’t go as planned and we had to cut the tour short. Unfortunately we missed going to see the Flamingos as well as visiting Mudjin Harbor, which was our #1 reason for going on the trip. This was a real bummer. Another note of importance, the mosquitoes were viscous when we visited Wades Green, and even with bug spray we received more than 25 bites each. This may have been due to the rain the previous day, but exercise caution and consider long pants/shirt for this part of the trip. Overall, we are glad we were able to visit North and Middle Caicos, but wish we would have gotten the full experience.
Great times! Charles was very good and knowledge. Highly recommend price was right and the stops were planned well
We had a great time with Charles getting to see all the ins and outs of North and Middle caicos. Our trip started with a very fast ferry over from Provo, then we traveled by air conditioned van from community to community, getting to know the beautiful green island. Charles really knows the area, and his love and admiration for the islands really added to the tour. We ended our tour at mudjin harbor, which may be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The surf was too rough to get in the water, but it was incredible!
This was a great trip that kind of involved more sites than the description mentions. It was a great combination of natural sites and historic sites (or cultural context). Some we drove by or only briefly stopped at. Yet, it was horribly hot. I think that’s more due to the unusual heat wave of 2023, as I like tropical heat and found the day hot. This also led to bugs irritating any human found. Hopefully the bugs were extra bad during this heat wave and it isn’t necessarily this bad normally. Thankfully, the bugs were only a problem at the beginning and were fine the rest of the day. The only negative thing that happened that’s in their control is that the van was too crowded. We could have booked a different day, happily, if only we knew. I wish they asked. The places we visited were amazing. I didn’t find anything as interesting on Provenciales, so I’m super happy we did this day trip.
Our guide Betty was wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable and she knew just about everyone on the islands :) The tour included visits to the ruins of a Plantation, an amazing cave, Flamingo Cove, and a delicious lunch, after which we climbed down steep steps through another cave, and emerged at a pristine beach surrounded by rugged cliffs. Nice to explore a different side of the TCI’s!
Manny is a phenomenal guide and made this tour a trip highlight. He’s from North Caicos and is still based there so he offered lots of great local insight about the area and the history of the islands. From the Wade Plantation, to Flamingo Pond, conch caves, the beach and lunch at sea view cafe (BEST red snapper we had during the trip) - everything was perfect.
Great trip with Betty to north and middle Caicos!!! Fun times seeing the more rural parts of the Turks and Caicos!
This was a super fun adventure! Betty was a fantastic host and tour guide. The cave and plantation tour was fun and informative. The lunch beach was spectacular and we would do this all over again should we return to this beautiful place on earth.
This was a very nice tour when you want to do something a little bit different than the beach. Betty was a great guide and we saw an amazing plantation, several caves and then an amazing section of the north shore on Middle Caicos that we didn’t want to leave. We also stoped to view the flamingos and the tour provided binoculars to see them. My 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter both really enjoyed it late in the week after we had spent a lot of time at the beach.
Great tour! We wanted to see North and Middle Caicos but this was our first time to Provo and weren't sure how easy it would be to sort out the sights on North and Middle Caicos, plus we wanted someone to tell us more about the islands and their history. Enter this tour! Betty was a wonderful guide she made it interesting and fun. Lots of laughing and so much beauty on those islands. Also, it wouldn't have been so easy to find these spots on our own!
We enjoyed our tour and loved Betty the guide. However, I must caution participants (especially older ones) that the bat cave darkly descended on rock stairs with no rail. I took a very hard fall. Betty provided assistance and luckily it was not serious. There is no signage or railing! I will contact the National Trust as well to make my comments but please caution people.
Very nice experience tour. Betty was a great and knowledgeable guide. We went to Wade’s green plantation, Flamingo pods (we saw lots of flamingos in the distance using the provided binoculars), Conch bar cave that we saw a few tiny bats sleeping in the holes. Then we had lunch at a beachside restaurant. The food was awesome! And we had a short walk and spend some time relaxing at the amazing Mudjin Harbor beach.
Turks and Caicos Discovery Tour The tour operator told us we would be picked up at 8:55 in the lobby and when we got there at 8:50 we were delighted they were already waiting for us with an almost full van. The van driver checked us in and did not say another word until we disembarked at the ferry dock. Apparently you’re meant to go into the small house at the ferry dock and check in. Remember to do that if you take the tour. We boarded a ferry only to have our tour guide, Betty come searching for us! We took the 30 minute ride across the water without her and with that most of our group. When we disembarked she collected us into a group and we set off in another van. Betty drove the van. She’s clearly an excellent, safe driver. She answered any questions we asked her and had some basic information about each stop. But I was wishing for more information since this was the only cultural tour we were taking during our beach vacation. The stop to Wade’s green plantation was interesting. Again I would’ve liked even more information than the guide provided, although she did answer my myriad of questions. It is a lovely walk and I think important to see some thing historical on the island. The walkabout was short and easily manageable for most people. Wear comfortable shoes and put on bug spray. The flamingo pond stop was nothing more than a moment of pulling off the highway to see flamingos way in the distance with Binoculars. These scenic beach stops were gorgeous and fabulous for taking photos. We signed up for this tour principally for the Conch Bar Cave stop. The same tour guide who helped us at the plantation led the tour of the cave. She had interesting but minimal information. I would’ve liked to understand more about the geology, the discovery and the preservation of the ecosystem. They have teeny bats that look like small mice with wings. Of course we were touring during the day so they were asleep in deep holes in the ceiling of the cave. The cave walk is short but presents slip and fall risks for people who are not steady on their feet. Shoes with treads are best. Betty took us to a marvelous Beachside restaurant for lunch. I had a grilled lobster tail with sweet potato fries which has been my best meal in three days on TCI. There is absolutely no treasure hunt aspect to the tour. I chose this specific tour because I thought my daughter might enjoy having the activity as we flowed through these different sites. They did give us little charms for a bracelet as prizes as we went to each site but that does not constitute a treasure hunt. I do wish they would change the name as to not disappoint. Because we were visiting several beaches we wore bathing suits on the tour thinking that we would go into the water. That was incorrect . You’ll be better served by wearing a T-shirt and shorts with sneakers or any other comfortable shoes. When we called the day before to ask what we should bring they recommended towels which were also completely unnecessary. They have water and drinks available in the van you do not need to bring your own. Pack suntan lotion, bug spray, sunglasses, a hat and some tip money. No need to carry anything else. All in all I’m glad we took the store. Betty is delightful. She is genuine and sincere and will happily answer any questions you ask. I am glad we had the chance to spend half a day with her!
I was very impressed with the kindness and jovial nature of the guides we met on this tour. We had a number of families together on the tour and everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Betty, Tracy and Renico were excellent drivers/guides. We always felt safe and confident with Renico at the wheel. He patiently drove in the Suburban down paved and unpaved roads, with considerations for the random pothole. Betty's humor was very refreshing and was a good complement to our groups energy level. Tracy went above and beyond to help make sure one couple with an infant could enjoy the caves and the private beach near Mudjin Harbor. Jennifer was our guide for the plantation and the Bat Caves. Her clear and easily understandable way of explaining the history of the area was definitely a highlight of my tour experience. She was very Knowledgeable and freely shared wonderful information about local flora and fauna. She fearlessly led us through the bat caves and helped even the smallest of kids (4) enjoy the darkness and helped quell any fears about the bats; they only eat fruit and/or insects. Thank you to the whole team for such an enjoyable experience. The views are stunning and this tour comes Highly Recommended.
This tour was educational and a whole lot of fun. Our tour guides Betty, Tracy, Jennifer, and Renico were absolutely phenomenal. They were flexible with our groups needs, and were informed and entertaining. Each went above and beyond. So much so that Renico literally saved the day by catching our boss when she slipped down some stairs. We really enjoyed the lush vegetation in North Caicos. I was so happy to be able to photograph a few bats in the Conch Caves, and we were pleasantly surprised by the lack of mosquitoes in the caves. Lunch overlooking dragon rock was absolutely divine, and we were able to visit a private hidden beach after lunch. The flamingos we saw at the lake were gorgeous, and the views on the whole trip are stunning. Our group gleefully swapped bracelet charms after visiting all of the treasures hunt spots, and it was a true delight. If you have the time, and want the whole island experience, do yourself a favor and take this tour. Spending time at the beach was phenomenal, but better understanding the rich culture of these islands was the cherry on top.
This was our first time in T&C and we wanted some history plus views we did not want to do on our own. Betty did not disappoint. She was friendly, attentive, energetic, knowledgeable, funny, and made the tour fantastic.
the historical sites and caves..lunch on the beach...the beautiful water and plants.it was so amazing8
Betty was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide. We had a blast, and the excursion took us to breath taking scenery.
Betty was kind, outgoing, funny - making the day super fun and adventurous. If you book this activity ask for Betty you won’t regret it.
