Had a great time on the tour. Our tour guide, Ted, was very knowledgeable, upbeat, and friendly. We learned a lot and really enjoyed our clear kayak tour!

Everything was absolutely amazing! The kayaking experience was so much fun, but your wonderful personality and positive energy made it even more special. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience! ❤️
We had an amazing experience on the 3-hour mangrove and Iguana Island excursion. Our guide, Ted, was so giving with his knowledge and experience with the mangroves and Iguana island. We spotted a ton of sea turtles ( several varieties live in that area), baby sharks, jellies, a barracuda and, of course, iguanas. During the trip I experienced some light headedness and early signs of heatstroke ( due to me stupidly not having consumed breakfast, water or electrolytes) but Ted jumped in immediately, making sure I was comfortable and cooled down adequately before venturing on. He took such great care of me and for that I will be eternally grateful! Overall we had a grand time. From ease of booking, to finding the meetup site, to execution of the excursion to drop off, it was a well oiled machine. Thank you, Ted and Clear Wave, for making our first day on the island a memorable one!
This was my first time kayaking, and I had an amazing experience! We spent close to 3 hours kayaking, and Malachi was an amazing tour guide. He gave us a quick explanation on how to kayak, and I picked it up pretty quickly. I loved how he educated us along the way—from the mangroves, to the iguanas when we arrived at Iguana Island, to the turtles we came across. He also taught us about how conch is prepared and eaten. There was definitely some arm work involved 😂, but I loved it! At one point, I just laid back in my kayak, looked up at the sky, and enjoyed the moment. It was just me and my friend out there in our kayaks, which made it feel even more peaceful. 🩵🌊 I would definitely recommend this tour! I got to learn something new while exploring the beautiful scenery, and it was such a memorable experience. 🛶🏝️
This was the highlight of our trip . DO NOT miss out on this experience. DJ our tour guide was amazing . He showed us a lot of wildlife including baby sharks, sea turtles , conch, jellyfish and iguanas
Romeo and Dom did an excellent job guiding us! We saw so much wildlife!
So awesome getting to see the turtles and sharks!!!
Ted was an outstanding guide; the BEST! He is very knowledgable and made a very interesting trip a really fun and educational experience.
Absolutely worth every penny!!! Our guide, Ted, was so knowledgeable. We learned so much on this adventure. We did the 3 hour tour and the advantage to this is a smaller group. It was us and one other couple. It was the most wonderful experience and we got to see so much wildlife! I love sea turtles and we saw at least 20!
Such an amazing experience, Ted was the best guide we could’ve asked for. Saw lots of sharks, turtles, and fish! Got to hold a jelly fish and a real conch.
It was a rough start. The 11am booking did not depart until 12:30pm. I think it was because there were not enough kayaks for the number of booked guests. Sam was great as a guide. 5 stars if we did not burn 1.5 hours of dead time.
Had a lovely tour with Sam in the mangroves. There were only 3 people in the group so we were able to navigate the mangroves easily and we saw lots of turtles. Clear Wave Tours usually takes a maximum of 10 people, which is much smaller than other tours we saw (they had a lot of congestion as they tried to follow their group). As you exit the mangroves and kayak a little farther to a small beach where there are iguanas (not the 'official' iguana island that is located further across the bay), there were so many sea turtles! Really enjoyed this relaxing morning.
So fun! Got to see lots of turtles. The guides were great. Fun experience!
Romeo was a great tour guide. I was a little concerned about the paddle across the channel with the high winds today but it turned out to be fine. Romeo took good care of us and explained things clearly. Saw some turtles and a lemon shark. It was a good time. Would recommend and do again on our next trip.
The tour operator cancelled this tour because they did not have the minimum number of people required. They offered the 2 hour tour of the mangroves, but not the iguana island. We accepted and I'm sorry we did. First, their jet ski, which was supposed to get us across to the mangroves, would not go in reverse. They then told us we would have to travel by ourselves to the mangroves, but that was impossible as the waves kept pushing us back. We had to wait over a half hour for them to borrow another jet ski to take us across. Second, when getting into the clear kayak, the seating was minimal - think stadium seating when you sit in bleachers. They were attached to the sides of the clear kayak. The back of my seating was adjusted twice and again by my husband, but it never held, so I was paddling leaning backwards. I found out later that the webbing that attached my husband's seating broke from the kayak, so he had no support at all. Third, we told them we were inexperienced kayakers right at the beginning, but apparently that didn't matter, because during the tour the rest of the group (who must have been experienced), were pretty far ahead of us. The tour guide didn't keep an eye out for us. Fourth, the tour guide told us not to put our hands in the water or touch any animals we come across so as not to disturb them. However, at one point he got out of the kayak and using his paddle, kept swirling it around a sand shark so we could all see it. I liked seeing it, but it didn't seem like something you should do. Also, other groups were in the mangroves and they were standing in the mangroves. Don't go on their tours, especially if you've never kayaked before. Apparently they don't take care of their equipment.
I was a little hesitant to book this trip because it seemed expensive, but I’m glad I did as it was a highlight of my vacation. I loved seeing the turtles and iguanas. The clear blue water is beautiful. This is a relaxing tour. They tow you with a jet ski across to the islands, so you just paddle through the mangroves. The guides are helpful and friendly.
I think the other tours tow you out, or most do anyway. It’s not that I mind the kayaking, that is what we signed up for, but this means we all had to kayak across a busy canal with large boats, jet skis, etc crossing us. Our tour guide was DJ, and he was knowledgeable and nice but dang, he paddled off without us and about 3 other kayaks. I thought the other tour guides were better about keeping a group together. Once they went into the mangrove without us and let another tour group get between us. We did see a few turtles, a shark, a jellyfish.
It is listed as three hours but it is barely 2 hours. You see a couple of Iguana. They are fairly small. After that we saw a few turtles and no sharks. The guide was not good in giving the tour wither. It is very expensive for the experience.
We had a fantastic time kayaking through the Mangroves!! Our tour guide, Joe, was fantastic, knowledgeable, and so incredibly patient! The pace was so relaxed, the views were incredible, and communication was as clear as the water ;) Would recommend this tour to anyone heading to Turks! We went for my partners birthday and this was the highlight
One of the best experiences ever! Our guide, Gene, was so knowledgeable. We saw so many turtles, iguanas, sharks, bonefish, barracuda and a sting ray!
Joe and Gean were the best, they made sure the kids all had an amazing time. They made sure we saw turtles, baby sharks, iguanas, stingrays and jelly fish. Would do it again in an instant thanks for the amazing day!
We did the 3hr Iguana and Turtle Tour as a group of 4 adults & had an amazing time. The small group made it feel personal and relaxed. Our guide was super friendly and full of great info. We we were pulled by boat in our kayaks to the iguana island, saw some iguanas hanging out, then swam in the most beautiful turquoise water. Kayaking through the mangroves was our favorite part; turtles were everywhere, swimming all around us. The clear bottom kayaks were such a cool touch & we even spotted a little yellow shark right underneath us. We also got to see a live conch & hear all about it. The whole tour flew by & we’d absolutely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, unique adventure.
The tour was wonderful, we all had a great time paddling out to the mangroves and chasing turtles. The tour was exactly as described and our guide was very knowledgeable.
Too much time pulled by a dingy and not enough time in the mangroves. Saw very little and kayaks were very uncomfortable. Educational discussion had no depth to it
Our tour was actually the 2-hour kayaking without the visit to the iguanas. We did think we were going to the island, so the booking process was a little bit confusing. We recommend using this company for a kayaking tour. The guides really made the trip an enjoyable adventure. We frequently had an up close view of sea turtles, sharks, barracudas, pike, herons, and more. A member of our family lives with a physical disability and the guides were exceptionally kind and helpful.
Amazing experience!! Must do before you go, lovely protected area with TONS of sea turtles. Saw a baby shark and some birds etc, just a magical experience Seeing massive sea turtles through the kayak and around was incredible
Boats were in great shape as were the life vests. The young man (Joe) who gave our tour, was reasonably knowledgeable of the area and wildlife. He did go out of his way to locate nurse sharks. We passed by several other companies and my wife, and I both thought it would have been nice to get out of the boat and discuss the local wildlife as they did.
This is a great opportunity to get really close to the some of the wildlife on the island. And you don’t need to be an experienced kayaker to participate! We saw herons and small sharks and lots of turtles! We also saw iguanas and Space X debris on iguana island. Our guide, Jean, was terrific—- personal, knowledgeable, patient and just one of the most pleasant people around. We went as a group of 8, family and friends. Just an all-around great outing.
We had a great time exploring with Joe! He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional making sure everyone in our group was enjoying themselves. We saw turtles, baby lemon shark, conch and many iguanas. They tow you across channels so paddling is not at all strenuous. Beautiful day on the water!
We did clear kayaking and had a fantastic time! The tour guides were exceptionally patient and thorough, taking time to demonstrate proper techniques and safety measures. Despite our admitted lack of kayaking skills, they remained encouraging and supportive throughout. The wildlife viewing was a highlight, and when we briefly got lost before the ride, they quickly came to assist us by boat. This activity is highly recommended for anyone visiting the island, regardless of experience level.
