We had a wonderful time at Windsong Resort. Family of 4 stayed in an ocean front 2 bedroom that had a short stairway to the pool, hot tub and Jojo's Cafe & bar directly off the balcony. We had excellent service from the start and an exceptional butler, Travis McIntosh. Travis took such great care of us in helping with reservations and excursions. We ate at Jojo's Cafe, The Dune and Pelago. All at the resort and the food was delicious and not too long of a wait. We also walked up the beach to Somewhere Cafe & Lounge for Tex-Mex. We also enjoyed The Veranda Coffee Bar and service from Carmen was excellent! We chose Windsong for our first trip to TCI because of the ability to snorkel right off the beach. We saw so many beautiful fish, turtles and stingrays. You could also paddle board or kayak. Our half day charter picked us up within a short walk from our building. We did spend 1 day shopping that we used a taxi for but otherwise we had everything we needed at Windsong. There is a nicely equipped gym and a spa. Elchelande assisted us on our checkout and made it very easy. There are larger and more expensive resorts where you have more accessibility to shopping and restaurants but that is not what we came for. We came for the beautiful water and to relax. Windsong and their wonderful staff made our time there remarkable. We will be coming back for sure.

Beautiful resort! The room definitely deserves 5 stars, and we appreciated the General Manager personally addressing our concern. However, I agree with other reviews about the friendliness of some of the staff. At times, it felt like some employees didn’t want guests to be there, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. With warmer and more genuine hospitality, this would easily be a 5-star experience
We came here for our honeymoon. From the time we arrived we were extremely impressed with staff and facility. We arrived a few hours early and they still immediately got us a room and it had the sweetest decor to celebrate our honeymoon. The beach was never packed with people making it so relaxing and fun for us. The staff greeted us every time they say us with smiles and conversations. The food was so good and drinks were phenomenal. Samuel makes the best drinks and Alesia (spelling?) really brought so many smiles to our face with their customer service and by the time we left the staff were more like friends. We even had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jim (developer/owner) which helped us understand why this resort was so wonderful. He was so friendly and kind and we loved chatting with him. We left half way through our trip for a stay at Alexandria Resort (all inclusive) because we wanted to see the difference between the resorts as we have never done an all inclusive. Long story short we left Alexandria after dealing with not having a room for HOURS past check-in time, being *covered* in baby spiders during our only meal we had there and the staff made us extremely uncomfortable. We took a significant financial hit and left Alexandria and went back to Windsong so our honeymoon was not ruined by the resort (Alexandria). There is not enough good things we can say about Windsong. They truly made our honeymoon amazing and I cannot wait to go back one day. Thank you to everyone at Windsong for giving us the experience of a lifetime.
Stayed in 2 bedroom Lanai, rooms were wonderful and clean with lots of space, privacy and private grill. Smaller pool by Lanais was great for late swims and always warm. Breakfast was delicious with rooftop offering their own menu than the Dune and JOjos but all were good with breakfast credit that covered almost anything on the menu. Staff were lovely and always accommodating-tip them well they deserve it Pools and beach were beautiful with great snorkeling and views. Rent a car to get around if you are going to explore and go off-site for restaurants/grocery Cave Bar 5/5 Marine Room 5/5 Overall it was a great stay and would recommend rooftop for dinner and would stay here again.
Enjoyed 6 days here, Sunday through Saturday. Overall we enjoyed the stay but would not recommend eating here. Next time to TCI will stay further up where it’s more of a tourist area so you can walk to shops etc. The good and the bad feedback … The good: beautiful resort, extremely clean, very comfortable, it’s smaller so easy to walk everywhere quickly, low occupancy so never had to wait for meals and had plenty of loungers at the beach and pool. Enjoyed the washer / dryer in the spacious ocean view room. We had a full kitchen but never used it. The turndown service everyday was a nice touch and we enjoyed the robes and slippers. Front desk was always helpful with calling taxis for us to go offsite. The views were amazing from our balcony! Its very quiet overall The bad: They play loud music at the pool starting at 7am! Doesn’t end until 10pm. It woke us up multiple days. (Would be so much nicer to have 8-9 )Automatic 10% service charge for everything. The food quality isn’t great. Limited menu, some awful dishes like the ravioli at dinner. (Fish tacos and Greek salad were good for lunch). Tiny portions - $12 key lime that was 2 teaspoons. $18 ceviche that was a few spoonfuls in a cup on a bed of lettuce to make it look larger. Really enjoyed restaurants offsite - Marine Room, Embers, Grace’s Cottage Service - slow at restaurants. Got breakfast to go and was told I should’ve just gone to lobby to get coffee and pastries instead even though I allowed 30 minutes for a to go order. Other times had to remind the server to give the juice ordered, or the pastries. Went to Pelago for dinner and waited for 30 minutes while our drinks never arrives and servers ignored us, so we left. They did apologize and left some chocolate coveted strawberries in our room. Room bill was incorrect and had to remind about the $100 costco credit. Due to location, you can’t walk anywhere for dinner and have to spend $12-20 one way in taxi! That adds up fast. Poor communication at times - weren’t told during the tour at check-in that snorkeling gear would have a charge, we got shorted on the grocery run from 45 minutes shopping time to 20 minutes but still had to pay full cost. Weren’t told that the grocery run fee of $10 per person had to be paid to the driver and not applied to the room so we were not prepared.
