Bungalows At Windsong On The Reef

We recently stayed at Windsong Resort and, unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations—especially given the premium price point. One of the biggest issues was a persistent sewage odor in the mornings and evenings, which made it difficult to enjoy both the room and surrounding areas. Additionally, our room had no view of the ocean (or any water at all), which was disappointing and not what we anticipated when booking. The pathway to our room was poorly lit, relying mainly on a single floodlight. Traveling with young children, this felt inconvenient and somewhat unsafe at night. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Despite having four guests, only three towels were provided daily. On one afternoon, we returned at 3:00 PM to find the room had not yet been cleaned. When I contacted the front desk, I was told housekeeping had until 4:30 PM, but shortly after, a housekeeper told us she could clean immediately or might not be able to return later—contradictory information that made planning around our kids’ schedule frustrating. While we understand that occasional issues can happen, the combination of these problems made for a disappointing stay overall. With some improvements in maintenance, communication, and service consistency, this could be a much better experience for future guests.
