The Best French Riviera Full-day From Cannes Small-group Shore Excursion

Definitely our favorite day on the French Riviera! 😍 Everything was absolutely beautiful. We visited Cannes while the annual Yachting Festival was happening, with people from all over the world arriving by helicopter to see some of the most incredible yachts! 🛥️🚁 We got to see the famous Cannes Film Festival area and later headed to gorgeous Èze, where we picked up some French perfume. 🇫🇷✨ Monaco was just as amazing—we explored Monte Carlo and even got to drive along the famous Monaco Grand Prix track! 🏎️🏁 Our van was comfortable, our guide was great, and the entire day was such a fun experience. Easily one of the highlights of our trip! ❤️

We absolutely loved our day with Rainer! We were able to see the Cannes red carpet, Yachting Festival Event, Antibes, town of Eze, Monaco. Monaco is a site to see! The town of Eze was incredible. Lots of walking. Great exercise! Loved every minute!!

My husband and I had an amazing time on our excursion of the French Riviera. Ben was great. He was right on time at our hotel. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour was private as we were the only couple taking the excursion that day. He made it customizable to what we wanted to do and see. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

We had a lovely trip with our guide Jaoued. He was informative and the places we stopped at to explore and for photo ops had something to give each individual on the tour. Jaoued was very personable and considerate of each members physical activity level. We stayed on time and yet never felt rushed. The places we explored were interesting and fun.

Tour guide was on time and we went to Monte Carlo and also saw the changing of the guard at the palace. The scenery was amazing! Beautiful views of Sea and mountains.

We had a wonderful experience with Lucie, our guide. The small group aspect was great and allowed us to travel comfortably in a van while Lucie went over interesting points along the way. She was a great guide, very well spoken and able to answer any question, no matter how obscure. She did a great job of explaining each stop and giving us ample time to explore on our own. My group included 2 young children and two older adults and the pace was perfect for everyone. We kept on schedule and arrived back at the ship with ample time.

My husband and I took this tour to maximize what we could see of the French Riviera and we weren't disappointed! Our tour guide was wonderful, and this tour let us get a taste for the difference areas in the French Riviera. We stopped at Antibes, Monaco and Eze. All stops were sufficient time to walk around on our own (with a little guidance from our tour guide) to do some sightseeing and shopping. This area is breathtaking! I would highly recommend this tour!

We had a beautiful day exploring many places. Originally we thought it might feel rushed, but it didn’t at all. We got more time places than we thought we would. Alex, our guide, was very friendly, funny, and shared a lot of knowledge with us. 10/10 would recommend this tour as an efficient way to see a lot of the area!

Belo, our driver/guide from Liven Up tours (who we booked through Viatour), was excellent — knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver. Nine hours is a long time for a tour, but Belo made every minute enjoyable and info-packed. When we were done, we truly had a better understanding of the French Riviera. Just enough stops and sites. Also, Belo was a very good driver with a very comfortable van for eight passengers. He even tidied it on stops when we tourists we shopping or visiting sites on our own. Well worth the fare.

Great overview of the major areas of the French Riviera. A very good job of stopping often, usually with a scenic view or to allow for exploration of a town. Really enjoyed our stop in Monaco and in Èze-Village. Nice to have a small group and small van that allowed us to take smaller and faster roads (especially when there was an accident on highway). While it was a long day, we were able to see a great deal in a short time. Our guide, Thin, was informative and personable. Would definitely recommend this tour

The tour that we took was great from the places that we visited which was Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Our tour guide, Nicolas, was awesome as he knew a lot about the places that he took us to especially Monaco where we saw the changing of the guards and Nice where we stopped for lunch. Just a beautiful part of the world that we visited and we appreciated Viator for the opportunity for us to see it.

Lucie was a fantastic tour guide. She had so much enthusiasm and passion for the tour. She made sure we were seeing the sights we wanted to see. Did awesome job explaining the history of the area. Made sure to find the easiest and best walking routes. She also took us to the best gelato shop ever. I would recommend Lucie for anyone wanting a great guide.

Wonderful way to see multiple cities in one day! It’s a long day but worth it if you’re only in south of France for a couple of days. The guide picked us up directly from our hotel, gave us history about each location we visited, and gave us tips for each location. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone in south of France!

He made sure we saw the changing of the guards at the Palace. He drove us around part of the F1 track in Monaco which was the coolest! All in all we couldn't have asked for a better day! See several towns between stops. Driver very knowledgeable. Worth the money to capture key moments on the French Riviera.

We visited some interesting picturesque little towns that we would not have visited on our own. The inclusion of Monaco to this itinerary made it easier for us to add to the countries visited and it was absolutely beautiful.

Very organized and timely. The small Villages are very nice and the views from St Paul was beautiful Even in the light rain.

Our guide Tim was amazing very knowledgeable but also fun and went out of his way to show us the sights and great photo stops wth the small van able to go everywhere. Really excellent itinerary with such beautiful scenery so thoroughly recommend this tour.

There was only two of us who signed up for the tour, so we had a private tour with Sebastian, who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were able to sample the area from Monaco to Cannes (and almost everything in between).

Arrived in Cannes a few days before embarking on a Rhone River cruise. Wanted to experience the French Riviera and sites in the short time we had. We hit the jackpot with this tour! We were picked up at our hotel and then traveled to Nice to pick up a lovely family on holiday. Our guide/driver was Tin who insisted we stop at a Patisserie for coffee and croissants when he heard we had not had breakfast. A full day! Temperatures were high 80’s. I’m not going to lie, for a couple out of shape 70 year olds, Eze was tough but so worth it. Got to see all that was advertised, Eze, St. Paul de Vence, Monaco/Monte Carlo, and more. The family we picked up in Nice was interested in biking with their children to Antibe the following day. Tin took us for a drive along the Antibe coast to show them where to go and what to do. Well done tour with excellent staff. Highly recommend!

We definitely saw a lot on this tour. Be prepared as it is a long day with a lot of walking. The sites are fascinating and the views are marvelous. I loved the St Paul historic site and of course Monaco. We stopped at one place where we looked at 3 countries at one time: France, Monaco & Italy. Amazing!

We expected a tour guide but we basically had a driver. Driver was late due to unexpected traffic so we were rushed in a couple of locations.

Our guide Victor was the Best! Great way to see a lot of the riviera. Transportation vans are comfortable. I recommend this tour.

Michael our tour guide was so much fun!! He was informative and truly made the experience ours. We raced along the Grand Prix course, stopped at the Casino for pictures, saw the changing of the guard and Princess Graces resting place. A small midlevel village Saint-Paul de Vence at the top of the mountain with an excellent restaurant and view topped off our afternoon. I would highly recommend paying for the 8 passengers but only having 7 max. We made it, but it was very tight, none of us are little people.

We were picked up in Cannes promptly at 8am. The first two. Then picked up 4 more people by 9am. The tour was fabulous. Thin did a wonderful job explaining and teaching us facts about the French Riviera and its culture. We covered a lot of ground over the entire day and saw many interesting and beautiful sights. There is no way we could have seen or done so much on our own in a day. Especially with navigating the traffic! Thin was an excellent driver! It made for a long day being the first picked up and the last dropped off but I felt like we got to see and learn a little bit more. Yes, we would do it again.

We have been in Nice for 4 days and spent two full days with Mikael. He is a native to Nice which brought the area to life. We spent one day in nice, villa Rothchild and a lovely end in Villafranche sur mer. Second day grasse, Gourdon, Cannes. He is knowledgeable, energetic, fun and goes above and beyond. So much laughing! We loved our time with him and appreciate the effort in crazy Cannes during the festival.

Every year the film festival takes place in Cannes. For us it was a great pleasure to walk on the red carpet, which is usually reserved for movie stars. The Palace is impressive, and outside is a long row of photos with artists who have been present at festivals over the years.

Just a wonderful way to see so much of the French Riviera and Monaco, and to do it from Cannes. Especially liked the visit to Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the opportunity to stroll through the village and peek into the many fine art shops. Our tour guide was amazing too. Thanks!

This was the best excursion of our cruise! Our guide, Thin, was amazing. We ended up being the only tour participants and he really tailored the experience to us. Would highly recommend this tour as it provided a wonderful look at the Cote d’Azure. Thank you Thin!

The tour was great to see the sights, yet for the per price rate I definitely anticipated a guided tour at each stop. I’m also accustomed to the tour guide pricing water for the group, which also was not provided. We unfortunately got lost at two of the sites and missed quite a bit since we were on our own and concerned about not getting back to a meeting point timely. All in all, not worth the $450 I spent for my family.

Fantastic full day tour. It turned out we were the only 2 for part of the day, as the others in our group were booked on a half day tour for the afternoon. No worries, as our guide Ben gave us a little more freedom in the morning and we had some more time in Nice, where we ended up having a very nice lunch. This is more of a guided taxi with drop offs and personal time to explore, than a full guided tour. That worked great for us. Trying to do that on our own for a full day would have been stressful. Our guide navigated the traffic and winding roads with ease.

Perfect way to explore the French Riviera. Along the turquoise shoreline you'll visit Nice, Antibes, Cannes and of course the affluent Monaco! And into the mountains to the picturesque towns with quintessential french streets of Eze and St Paul Vence. Our guide Sabine was an absolute delight. She couldn't have been more accommodating and was very knowledgeable of the area. Sabine made this a truely unforgettable day for us and I highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Such a great experience! First of all, Renier, our guide was super friendly and set a great tone amongst all of the group, even though we didn't know each other, it felt like a little community. He was knowledgeable and answered questions so effortlessly. Secondly, I thought the tour was perfectly paced. I felt we had a perfect amount of time at every stop. The overall number of hours in the tour was just perfect! It didn't feel too long or too short. I would 100% recommend this tour!
