Marseille: Tailored Wine Tasting Experience In A Top Wine Shop

Miles - the owner- is so knowledgeable and shares his knowledge in a fun, interactive way. The tastings were very customizable. There were 5 of us - we each could select our own individual tastings. The bread and meats served were fabulous but the cheeses (which were local) were spectacular! The bottles we purchased (with absolutely no pressure to buy) were so reasonably priced! Miles overall theme seemed to be you do not have to overpay to enjoy delicious wine particularly if you know the local options. 10 of 10 experience.

First of all: the owner is a very friendly guy who speaks fluent English and French. That makes it ideal for all tourists. He gave us perfect recommandations for visiting wine-makers and our trip from Marseille to Grenoble. He is very knowledgeable about wines and the region. That makes the customized wine-tasting excellent. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The wines are delicious and can be accompanied with some nice cheese and meat on the side. We highly recommend this place to everyone who loves wine.

My two friends and I had an incredible wine tasting with Myles! We had an extremely thoughtful curated group of wines to try, which he had chosen catered to what our preferences/interests were. It was also all paired with the most delicious and generous servings of cheese, meat and bread. We learned so much as Myles was so knowledgeable on all the wines, and we had the best time too. He was very friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a wine tasting in Marseille, you could not find better!

A great experience for my son’s 30th Birthday. Miles was very friendly and approachable and so knowledgeable about wine. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stopped in an hour before closing to have a glass or two of wine. We ended up staying for an hour and a half to share a customized wine tasting from the owner, complete with baguettes, amazing cheeses, and salamis. The owner was very knowledgeable, explaining the history and processes of wine across the region and world. We shared 20 wines altogether, and the experience was wonderful and reasonably priced. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Myles at his lovely wine bar on Saturday, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We booked a wine tasting through TripAdvisor and were so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, Myles made us feel so welcome. He took the time to find out what we enjoyed drinking and what we wanted to get out of the tasting, then chose a fantastic selection of wines for us. We booked the two-hour tasting with bread, cheeses and 10 wines, and every one of them was delicious and perfectly chilled. Even though the bar was busy and Myles was looking after several groups, he never made us feel forgotten. He kept everyone's glasses topped up, shared plenty of interesting information about the wines, and created a really relaxed, fun atmosphere. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed for another glass of the delicious Crémant we'd tasted during the session! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a wine tasting with Myles. Whether you're looking for a full tasting experience or just want to pop in for a glass (or bottle!) of wine, this is a wonderful place to visit. Thanks again, Myles—we'll definitely be back!

The whole experience was lovely from beginning to end. Food, wine, atmosphere. A MUST when you visit Marseille!

We had a lunchtime wine tasting, and enjoyed every minute. We tried 10 different wines, and had a great chat about each of them, with Miles who was extremely knowledgable and fun. We had lovely bread and cheese to accompany which we really enjoyed. Such a great setting, we stayed for several hours, relaxing and enjoying the wine, ambiance and chat. Would highly recommend as a great activity, or as somewhere to stop off for a glass of wine on your travels.

Superb evening at wine tasting while in Merseilles on a Hen do. Miles was brilliant and tailored the wine tasting to everyone by asking what kinds of wine we preferred. A couple of us weren't big wine drinkers and he provided a beautiful Moscato that we enjoyed so we weren't left out. Really lovely shop and a great time was had by everyone. Highly recommend 👍

Myles is awesome. The bar is friendly and we met several interesting people. We sampled a range of wines along with some bread and cheese. We learned a lot about local wines, discovered where my preferences lie and had a fun, convivial experience with other wine enthusiasts. This wine tasting was amazing! Myles was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We tasted 10 wines from the Provence region but we were also given the opportunity to choose wines from other regions. Myles gave us bread and an assortment of cheese to eat with the wine, and he even gave us an additional glass of our choosing at the end. Overall this was our favorite part of our trip and we cannot recommend it enough!

The host asked our preference of wine and then selected the tasting so we had three rose, five white and two red. Accompanied by great loa l cheeses. Very informative and his knowledge of region was great. Thoroughly recommend.

The tour was EXCEPTIONAL - one of the best wine tastings I have ever had. Miles, the owner and sommelier was extremely knowledgable, passionate, and generous with more than 10 unique pours from all over the south of France as well as little sips of other regions (to compare tasting notes). Though his family owned shop is small and relatively new, it feels like a neighborhood staple with local patrons sharing thoughts on their favorite wines. I could not recommend this experience more!

It was incredibly educational, and easy to understand. It was a very relaxed inviting and welcoming environment. I would go back to Marseille purely to go there again and support the business. It was amazing value for money and the experience was tailored to our preferences perfectly! We had a great couple of hours in Myles lovely wine shop having a French wine tasting event. Myles was great at telling the story of the wine and the wine makers. Myles is fluent in English and French (and probably other languages too) We really enjoyed it and thoroughly recommend. And for anyone hot in Marseille, this place is very cool.

A great experience. We went to 4 for a tasting of 10 wines. The theme is your choice (red wine and/or white wine, French wine, foreign wine a mix of everything, etc.) The person who welcomes us is very friendly and is a real wine encyclopedia. Pleasant and very interesting time. I recommend
