It was fun! We saw some neat spots and the app offered a good amount of education/info on each point of interest. My boys (13 & 14) enjoyed the scavenger hunt questions.

Itinerary
Starting at 2 Quai du Port, beside the Hôtel de Ville, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and set out along the Vieux-Port. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city. The Hôtel de Ville anchors the first riddles — a baroque survivor of the old quarter, watching fishing boats give way to yachts for three centuries. Then the route rises through the Panier toward Sainte-Marie-Majeure, the striped neo-Byzantine cathedral big enough to hold 3,000 believers and several trivia questions. Fort Saint-Jean closes the loop where the city meets the sea, its ramparts now bridging to the bold MuCEM museum. Around two hours of salt air and steep lanes. Pastis and the final leaderboard await at the port.

The app is very intuitive and it doesn't take us long to get from one spot to another. With every step there are challenges to compete which made it more interesting to discover the spots along the tour. Great experience overall.

I went with my boyfriend for a mini trip in Marseille, and we played this game. It was super cool, and we met the main places in the city, so for sure It was a very good experience.

We loved getting to know Colmar while playing Explorial! The trail is so good, we got to see the most amazing sights and important landmarks while learning about the history of the city with fun clues and challenges. We definitely loved the photo challenges they were so fun and we got to keep memories of this vacation! We recommend it to anyone who wants to have a little extra fun during their trip while traveling on a budget! We definitely try again in another city!
