Excellent experience! Unfortunately we were there during protests and riots in France and our tour guide Elisabeth made sure we were safe and away from harm the entire time! Besides being a fantastic tour guide and taking us to the best places, she made sure we were safe and ensured we got back to our ship meetup spot safely. HIGHLY RECOMMEND A TOUR WITH ELISABETH!!

Elisabeth was very informative about the culture and history of the city. She brought us to many stops to enjoy all types of local sweets. Highly recommend her as a tour guide! You will not be hungry at the end of your tour!
This was a wonderful sampling of the French pastries and candies. Elizabeth our tour guide was incredible and also gave a little history of the city and architecture of the buildings. She also recommended a wonder restaurant for Sunday brunch. By the Opera House it was amazing
We absolutely loved this tour. Our guide, Elisabeth, was so engaging and fun- perfect for our family. We learned so much while eating delicious treats along the way.
Our guide was amazing! I would love to take this tour again just to learn more about the city and shops. She was informative, funny and lead us through the city quickly and easily
Our pastry and chocolate tour of Marseille with Elizabeth was a fantastic experience. We learned a great deal about the region’s pastries as well as the history and character of the city. Getting there from the cruise terminal was easy—a quick taxi ride to the meeting point—and the tour length was perfectly timed, leaving us enough opportunity to enjoy lunch in town before heading back to board the ship. Overall, a wonderful excursion and highly recommended.
Elizabeth was great. Knowledgeable and prepared with pictures. The pastries and confections were good but because the title says chocolate tour, we expected more chocolate. It was just at the end as an option. It was a lot of chocolate at the end, but I would have preferred more varieties. We had a piece of pain au chocolate, half an eclair ganache that was great, and three round chocolate with nuts and candied fruit on it. Instead of 3 of the same, 3 different types of chocolate with the pastries would be better.
Elizabeth was a wonderful and informative tour guide and took it to some of the best shops for the taste tour. It was a remarkable experience.
This was an amazing experience! Elizabeth our tour guide was amazing. We tried so many new foods and they were all delicious! Highly recommend.
I loved the afternoon with our guide touring Marseille city center during my family's Spring Break trip. She put together a thoughtful variety of shops from chocolate, to gelato, to pastry. Great for young and old, experienced bakers or novices, you can learn from Elisabeth and the shopkeepers, who were all very nice to my family.
Elizabeth was an absolutely delightful guide. She is knowledgeable, funny, and down for a good time. We tried 11 or 12 different sweet treats and had an excellent time walking between stops. Highly recommend this tour.
Great experience. Elizabeth was knowledgeable and fun. The desserts were amazing. The final pastry was one of the best desserts I ever had. Come hungry!
This was a great tour. The guide took us around to experience pastries and chocolates and gelatos. The guide packed in as much as she could with the time we had with her. Would very much recommend this tour.
Delicious food tasting experience! Great tour guide Elizabeth! Tasted multiple pastries and candies and nice walking tour of Marseille.
Elizabeth is a fun, engaging guide that ensures the experience will be fun and interesting. Highly recommend!
Elisabeth was a wonderful tour guide and we enjoyed learning about the culture and history of the area while trying out delicious local food! She made the experience interesting and fun!
My family recommended I try this tour while in the area. Elisabeth was our guide, and she was a treat! She was funny, a true pro, and very knowledgeable - she really helped to make my experience in Marseille! The food was of course great, and the architecture was beautiful. I would def recommend :)
The background information on all of the chocolate and pastries we tasted was great. The flavors were good as well. The guide was very knowable and enthusiastic. The only negative was it felt a bit rushed with little time to savor.
Elizabeth was the best tour guide. She had the best friendly personality. Always smiling laughing and making us feel so welcome and comfortable. We have told everyone of experience. She is the best
Tour guide never showed up. We waited 20 minutes. Called Viator; tour guide was not reachable by them. They promised 100% refund with email confirmation. Two days later, no email and I need to call for my refund.
Our guide was excellent! She took us to some of the most exquisite and local pastry and candy shops. We ended with an unbelievable view of the city. Highly recommend!
This ended up being a private tour and our guide, Elizabeth, was excellent. We stopped at 6 or 7 places for tastings, and our guide added an extra impromptu stop for my daughter who loves crepes! Highly recommend!
Never have I had such a fun time visiting a patisserie as I had with my guide. Elisabeth Sabastia allowed us see a patisserie in a whole new light. She is a delight to spend time with and Tshe knows her chocolates and pastries. Elisabeth imparted knowledge of the whole area as well. Ask for her you won't regret it.
Our guide was very kind and informative and the food was all great, however we feel for the price that we should have had more food. We all had to split between us a small amount of food at each place. Which is fine, but for the price I feel that there should have been more food so we left a little disappointed. We spent the same amount of money on a full day private tour of the city. Again, guide was great and took us to some great spots, but getting a small taste of things from 5 places doesn’t justify the almost $100 in my opinion
Yummy!!! Elizabeth was a sheer delight; wonderfully informed, professional and extremely knowledgeable, excited to be touring us and clearly loves her job. We will recommend to all our many traveling friends. Great fun.
We just loved it ! A good way to discover Marseille especially with children ! Thanks Elisabeth for this enjoyable experience.
We were a party of 5 and we loved hearing first hand about all the local food in Marseille. We tried a lot of different things including tarts, chocolates, olive oil and Macarons. Elisabeth was great and explained everything in engaging detail.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew all the best places to find the authentic tastes of the city. Great tour for families with kids the good keeps them engaged and the history is fascinating.
Our tour guide was the sweetest and best guide, she was so fun and made the tour so special, we loved it!!
Elisabeth was so friendly and knowledgeable. She took time to get to know us so that she could make the visit more suited to our expectations. We could not believe how many different types of shops she took us to. We thought we would have a few tastings, but there were many. She even added a sightseeing stop that wasn’t a scheduled stop. We look forward to seeing Elisabeth again tomorrow for another tour.
Elisabeth is brimming with energy, excitement and ideas. She has a wealth of knowledge, but also insights that can only be the product of deep reflection. I really had the impression to get under the skin of Marseille. For me the high point of the tour was our impassioned discussion of philosophy and cultural differences over the most ingenious and delicious of espresso deserts. Thanks Elisabeth for this precious and enriching experience.
A MUST DO TOUR! Elisabeth is a wonderful, passionate, knowledgeable, and fun guide! We were taken through the heart of Marseille with highlights of history, chocolates and many stories about the neighborhoods. A great way to get oriented in Marseille!
Fantastic experience and amazing for kids ! We met our guide Elisabeth at the meeting spot and she introduced us to some delicious pastries, baked goods and deserts. She provided some history and lovely French phrases as we wanted to refresh a little bit our French. It was great fun and a great way to end our trip in Marseille. She was professional, easy going and very friendly. We would do it all again!
We had such a good time. Perfect for couples or small groups. Elisabeth takes you on a soft stroll to locally owned bakeries, chocolate shops and boutiques throughout the city. Yes, you will eat a croissant.
My family and I participated in the tower on June 2025, and it was the best experience. The food, the history, all the activities around was amazing. The most important part was guiding us, Elizabeth. Elisabeth made the experience memorable, fun, and just the best. Also, Elisabeth connected after the tour and made a big impact in me and my family. It is the experience of life!
I would like to thank Ms. Sebastia for the magical moment she made us spend! His warm attitude made this already great and interesting moment shine.
Despite the season, the atmosphere was warm and our guide, Elisabeth, made the walk as informative as it was gourmet. We discovered authentic local addresses, tasting typical Marseille specialties, including the famous shuttles and some of the 13 desserts of Provence. The explanations of the city’s history and Provencal traditions added real value, and the pace was ideal. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to discover Marseille differently, especially during the winter period.
We made this visit during a weekend with friends. Very good time that allows you to better understand the city while enjoying local sweet specialties. Very pleasant in a heatwave because the guide took care to choose places in the shade or with air conditioning which with the heat of this weekend was very appreciable.
First time we came with family to Marseille and we wanted to visit the city in a fun way with our children. It was really the perfect visit. It was great to discover the center of Marseille in a good atmosphere while discovering places where we would have completely missed. The children loved the candy shop and the delicious ice cream "C'est Marseille Baby". The guide had a speech adapted to their age and really knew how to answer all their questions. We had a great time and we didn't see time pass.
Great visit to discover Marseille in an original way while feasting. The group was composed of four people which allowed us to have a privileged relationship with Elizabeth our guide who was great and who also regaled us with his anecdotes and all his knowledge about local pastries. We loved all the shops we could discover with a special mention for the one where I could see for the first time real roudoudou whose memories go back to my childhood! In short, an immersion in Marseille by licking your babines! I recommend to all gourmets:-).
The tour was an absolute pleasure. We ate well and Elizabeth was a warm and competent host. My family was visiting and we thought this visit would be a real treat. We were not disappointed! We particularly enjoyed seeing the chocolate statues for Easter. I would absolutely 100% recommend
I had already visited Marseille several times, but never from a gastronomy perspective. Elisabeth is very enthusiastic and friendly, she introduced us to her best addresses, we tasted the delicious shuttles, and some of the 13 desserts of Provence. A great discovery, I recommend 👍
My wife and I decided to sign up for this visit without really knowing what to expect...And we were not disappointed, quite the contrary! Superb visit which allowed us to take an original look at the city of Marseille and to discover authentic and tasty specialties. We highly recommend it for all foodies who wish to discover the city and the history of Marseille from a very pleasant perspective.
A real delight this visit! Thank you Elisabeth for sharing with us your passion for Marseille and gastronomy. My children loved it and I can't wait to make my friends taste tomorrow the shuttles you showed us in this adorable shop of the Basket.
Very nice to enjoy all these local delicacies in different very well selected places. We learned a lot more about the history of Marseille and the guide adapted perfectly to our group.
We really enjoyed both the tastings and the visit. Our guide Elisabeth introduced us to charming and unexpected little places in Marseille. We were able to discover delicious local specialties and meet craftsmen passionate about their craft. A very good time we shared with family under the Marseille sun.
