Gordes, Roussillon ( + Ochre Trail) & Vaucluse Fountain

I cannot recommend the Gordes, Roussillon and Vaucluse Fountain tour highly enough. It was absolutely wonderful, despite some rain. Florine, our guide, spoke perfect English but also allowed me to practice my feeble French. My wife and I got lucky insofar as we were the only guests booked on the day or our tour - so, it ended up being a private tour. Florine is extremely knowledge of the Luberon, and we learned so much about Gordes, Roussillon, the Vaucluse Fountain, and so much more. I'm also so glad that Florine is an excellent driver since I would be afraid to drive the narrow roads of Provence. Since there were just the three of us, Florine made an extra stop at the village of Bonnieux, where I had stayed some 35 years ago. We had the time to enjoy lunch there with Florine, and what was supposed to be a six our tour turned into eight hours. We really appreciated Florine's generosity with her time. This tour is an outstanding bang for the buck (or Euro) and we will remember lovely Florine for years to come.

Very enjoyable cultural tour of 3 beautiful towns and historically important and varied areas. Our guide Florine was a delightful presenter. I just wish we had more time in the towns to wander.

Florine was an excellent, knowledgeable, and great guide. We saw some great views of the Gordes area, amazing Ocre trail, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Monastery with lavender gardens and paper mill. Most tours we looked at didn't offer the Ochre trail so this was perfect for us. She was flexible with time and very informative. Great tour.

Very good tour. We have seen quite a lot of different highlights of the Luberon. Florine was a really good guide that told us a lot about the region.

Very unprofessional and disappointing experience. I booked this small-group van tour months ago, looking forward to exploring the Provence towns. On the morning of the trip, we arrived at the meeting spot on time, only to be told the guide was running 15 minutes late. After waiting, we received a notice that the tour was canceled without any explanation. Only after I asked did they mention a car accident. A reliable tour company should have a backup plan for emergencies. They didn’t just waste our time and energy; they ruined our entire day. Absolutely unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend this unreliable operator.

We took this Provence Excursions tour with Florine. She was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and full of commentary throughout entire day. Tour was well paced. It was a friendly, enjoyable day for us all. There was enough time for a relaxed pace lunch as well. This was our favorite sightseeing experience out of three during our time in Avignon.

Despite the heat wave, it's perfect day trip to explore the beauty of Provence area. The arrangement of trip is good and best for solo or couple traveller.

The Vaucluse Fountain is an amazing place, so beautiful, bright, mysterious! The famous Petrarch spent his last 16 years here, in honor of the 500th anniversary of this, a memorial column was erected here in 1805. But the funniest thing is that his beautiful Laura married into the de Sade family, which means she is the great-great-great-grandmother of the famous Marquis de Sade!

We had an amazing time touring the beautiful Luberon region with Florine! My sisters and I truly enjoyed the day — Florine is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and easygoing, which made the whole experience so pleasant and relaxed. She picked us up directly from our hotel and kindly dropped us off at the city centre afterward, just as we requested. The tour was well-paced and covered so many picturesque spots.

My wife and I had a great time seeing Avignon’s surrounding areas with Florine! The tour is for smaller groups which made it feel more personalized. It also gave us opportunities to ask any questions we had of the region, and Florine was always ready to answer. She went above and beyond to make this trip enjoyable and give us a glimpse into the scenic region. We would definitely recommend this activity!

Amazing trip to the Luberon with Florine. Six hour trip was perfect amount of time to see the Luberon on a day trip from Avignon. Water was flowing beautifully at Fontaine de Vaucluse. Gordes and Roussillon incredible hilltop villages. Enjoyed using my very limited French with Florine. English worked better for us and she is pretty fluent. We were very fortunate to just have the two of us with her for the day. C'etait une journee fantastique! Merci Florine! Joe and Kristin

We had a wonderful time on our tour. My personal favourite was the Fontaine de Vaucluse, with the beautiful clear (cold!) waters of the river and picturesque natural surroundings. The views from the villages of Gordes and Roussillon were also special. Our guide was friendly, helpful and flexible with the itinerary. She was also highly knowledgeable and generously shared her knowledge of the local area and French language and culture. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see more of this beautiful region.

Florine is a professional guide with years of experience and local knowledge. She is a nice and genuine person who ensures that you are well taken care of throughout the journey. Knowing that I was traveling without a plan, she kindly offered to help me find things to do at my next destination.

Our driver was fantastic. She told us about the various sites(in English) and was flexible in terms of ensuring we had enough time to visit certain sites. She also booked us a great terrace view at an excellent restaurant in Roussillon. This is a great way to see a lot of locations in one day without having to deal with parking. Her advice regarding local places to visit and events going on was also very nice. We had no idea there was a local beer festival going on later that day and we had a great time there. Our guide also knew great areas to stop at to get pictures.

It is a very interesting tour. Everything wonderful. The landscapes, the shared experiences, and above all Florine, our guide who spoke English and Spanish simultaneously to provide all the information to 2 English-speaking people and to us in Spanish. A genius!! Friendly, attentive, and with a lot of knowledge of the historical, social, and landscape aspects. A super guide!!

We loved our day exploring Gordes, Roussillon and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse! Florine was very friendly, relaxed and informative. I learned a lot about the history of this region. Florine responded very quickly to our messages and picked us up right next to our accommodation, which made it much easier for us. I really appreciated her patience: she spoke French with me and moved easily to English, which allowed my 13-year-old daughter to understand and feel comfortable. I highly recommend this excursion!

Gordes et sa pierre , Roussillon et son ocre ( le sentiers des ocres est formidable et compris dans la visite , Fontaine de Vaucluse et son eau … Florine, notre guide, est patiente et nous guide à merveille à travers les différents villages , donnant vie à l’histoire , aux anecdotes, aux choses à voir et à ne pas louper .. Avec un petit temps d’arrêts dans chaque village pour s’imprégner des lieux et créer des souvenirs . Merci pour cette formidable aventure .
