Le Vallon De Valrugues Hotel Spa & Villas

We recently stayed for 4 nights in one of the villas. The hotel setting is nice and close to the town of Saint Remy. Unfortunately our villa left some things to be desired. On the day we arrived we tried 2 different times to get luggage racks. We gave up and had to leave our suitcases on the floor which made getting clothes in and out difficult. The main shower was not clean, there was quite a bit of hair on the floor. The kitchen floor was also not clean with crumbs all over. The glasses on the shelf were also not very clean. The whole place felt like it was in multiple decades as far as the decor and furniture. It could use some deep cleaning and some updating. The bar patio was nice and service was good. The bar food and drinks were also good. We were pretty disappointed with the state of the villa and would not use the word “luxury” to describe it.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The hotel is set in a beautiful location, the grounds are lovely, and it is conveniently located close to town. The rooms were ok, comfortable ( we had a deluxe suite with terrace) and the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. One area where the hotel could improve is its food offering for families. While the property advertises itself as family-friendly, we found the dining options for children to be surprisingly limited. The daytime room service menu offered nothing that would appeal to many children, and the pool area menu is very limited options for a child and there was no flexibility with the hotel to accommodate simple requests. Dinner for adults was delicious and breakfast overall was very good. For couples, this is a good choice and the setting and grounds are really beautiful. However, families travelling with children who are looking for a reasonable child-friendly dining options should take this into consideration and review the menus before. Overall, this is a beautiful boutique property in a great location. While we enjoyed our stay, it lacks some of the service flexibility and food options for families typically expected at a 5 star hotel, particularly for families travelling with children.

Beautiful property — the Deluxe room, spa access, and setting in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence were all excellent. We stayed one night in April and genuinely enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, the billing has been a serious problem. My expected checkout balance was €179.36 (room balance plus breakfast for two). Instead, I was charged $435.18 USD on April 24 — nearly €190 more than agreed. I have called twice, spoken with staff including the front desk, and exchanged multiple emails. The hotel acknowledged my calculations are correct but has not resolved the overcharge after two weeks. I hope management will make this right.

Beautiful hotel on st Remy. We had a smooth check in with the valet/bell boy Christophe taking care of us. The shuttle to the city centre was also a bonus however I would suggest that they have a dedicated number for this because it was difficult trying to get a hold of the hotel for the return journey. Breakfast buffet was a bit of a disappointment. For 30€, you hope to get omelettes/poached eggs but these come at an additional cost.
