Don’t stay here unless you have to. It is not clean and it is generally unpleasant. There were breakfast trays still in the hallway right off the elevator when we checked in at 9 PM and a bloody booger on the ceiling. Parking is in a borderline alley that is not locked at night.

Service in this hotel is very spotty. There’s a lot of bad service. Like no coffee pot in the room. I was then told they could not help me. My mom requires a shower stool. Because we were changing rooms, I knew there was one in the room we were in. So, I asked if we could bring that one with us. Not a problem for one staffer but the desk had said no. I feel management is the issue here. In the service industry of which I was a member for 42 years, the answer was never no. It may come to a compromise but never a no. I have never seen management in this hotel. They hide in their office and avoid people at all costs. I find this behavior unacceptable. If there was another Marriott property in Marseille I would prefer it. However, Aix en Provance is the only other and is not near enough.
The hotel was nice; I wasnt overwhelmed. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Nothing really stood out other than the outdoor seating in the restaurant. Meh..
I left my credit cards in the safe after a stay at the AC Hotel Marseille. I was promised that the cards would be sent to my home address. Despite multiple phone calls and countless emails, I’m still waiting three months later for their return. The customer service is abysmal, and it is inexcusable that such a renowned hotel chain like Marriott treats its customers this way.
Excellent stay overall. The hotel is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with a sleek design that feels comfortable and efficient. The rooms were quiet and relaxing, and everything felt organized and easy from check-in to check-out. The location is also a big plus—convenient for getting around Marseille, and especially great if you’re heading to the Prado/Velodrome area. Staff were professional and helpful, which made the stay even smoother. A reliable, high-quality hotel in Marseille that I’d happily stay at again.
