This very much enhance star experience and knowledge as we drove on the Cabot trail. The quizzes on the recording were fun but a few too many. It was a fantastic way to learn more
The technology worked very well and offered suggestions for apps and information all along the Cabot Trail.
Worthwhile in car commentary for Cabot Trail. Easy to manage app.
Overall, this tour is excellent. However, there were frequent drops and was difficult to restart at the proper place. The information was great, and the tone was nice with different tips as well as quizzes. I believe cellular availability may have been the issue with connectivity.
It was a bit awkward to download and set up but phone support was excellent and product worked as advertised. Very good value.
Guide was very informative and brought to our attention sights that we would have missed. We read the review and knew we needed to drive counterclockwise & use an ipad for best results. We had no problems and really enjoyed the commentary.
Enjoyed having info on the trail Was nice to get info on upcoming points of interest Would definitely recommend At times was good for a laugh Designed for counter clockwise travel
Entertaining and informative, well worth the small fee.. could only be better if there wasn’t dead air between locations.
Perfect way to explore and learn about the details around the Cabot Trail. It's functionality through CarPlay that automatically talks about the area you are approaching is very practical and well done. Highly recommend!
the information was not info overload and had some good detail I needed to remember to be logged into the APP so it would activate Good value
Great tour and notes for our drive around the Cabot trail.
Trip was somewhat informative. However, app didn’t work as well as accustomed to. Wouldn’t recommend automatically. Also didn’t follow Navi as expected.
This was an excellent audio tour. The price was right! We were able to use it at our pace. This is great for travelers that would like to go at their own pace and still have the prompts for important sites. The guide was very good!
What a fun surprise to find this guide. We loved it. As we drove along the trail it gave us history, fun facts, and lots of places to stop and see. We would have missed so much without it. So glad I found it the night before we began our journey. HOWEVER, not all the facts are correct- example, Jean Cabot was not French, he was Italian!
Great audio tour. Started when near the site!
once we got the audio to hook up to the car our experience was good. Listening to the audio gave us some knowledge about the places on the trail.
Helped find some hidden gems that we would have missed otherwise.
This added immensely to our experience of traveling in Nova Scotia. We would have missed a lot of the Cabot Trail history and sights had we not had the audio tour. It's amazing how it can keep up with where you are and know when to start talking about the next thing, including directions. Don't do the Cabot Trail without this audio tour
Very interesting and informative. Easy to use.
Very funny and interesting. We downloaded the tour and it just picked up again when we were in a relevant spot. Easy to use and highly enjoyable.
The self-guided audio tour was a great addition to our drive along the Cabot Trail. We chose stops based on the guides description which were informative and accurate
Trivia Tours App was easy to use. The tour guide was entertaining and we learned so much about the area. I would recommend this tour.
This audio guide absolutely enhanced our tour of the Cabot Trail. We only had 2 days so we were happy to learn so much interesting information we would have missed otherwise. Well worth the money (only a few dollars).
Used this driving travel guide when travelling counterclockwise around the Cabot trail as it must be used going in the direction indicated and cannot be done in reverse. I loved it. I found it to be very informative both with locations of upcoming attractions as well as with interesting facts about the attractions and area surrounding. The product worked extremely well as to what it should have, autoplayed at all the right times, found the map very helpful and truly enjoyed the guide. The guide or narrative was funny, small quizzes were fun and the facts interesting and up to date Would absolutely try this again. Tips: Where we were on the Cabot trail mostly has no service so downloading ahead of time was a must, but it was easy and would suggest doing it before arriving at your destination while you have a wifi connection. Again should absolutely travel in direction product intended Short tutorial offered in the introduction worth doing for full usefulness of app but easy enough to figure out Some of the links for things described in each numbered stop would not work because of the inability to connect to the internet but did not take away from how much I loved this experience.
I can't imagine just driving the Cabot Trail without this audio guide. It added so much to our time there, from historical information to helpful tips and additional places we might want to stop along the way. It worked flawlessly.
Great way to learn as you drive. Higher production quality than I was expecting. Worth it to hear about the history of the island.
not worth the money. hard to use if traveling clockwise.
App would not work properly on my iPhone and purchased that day so thankful that my friends phone worked (Samsung).
Couldn’t get the audio to sink with our location.
The audio tour worked well with our rented 2026 Subaru Forester. The commentary is well done with some jokes and lots of informative quizzes. It really enhanced our Cabot Trail trip
This was described as 4-5 hours. Not even close! Thankfully the lady at the rental car agency clued is in before we started. It would MAYBE be 4-5 hours if you drove like a nasty out of hell & didn't make any stops. We were on s cruise & only in port 8:30-4:30. Plenty of time for a 4-5 hour experience. So we pivoted& didn't do ANY of the Cabot Trail. Therefore it was a complete waste of $. We ended up going to the Louisbourg Fortress. All the guides there & the lady at visitor info confirmed that it was not a 4-5 hour experience.
The App did not work at all. Would not even open.
We enjoyed using the audio driving tour. It was easy to use and enhanced tour with information, history, and trivia. Each message was well presented and brief. This is the first time we have used a tool like this, and we will look forward to using something like this with future driving trips. The price was very reasonable.
I knew we would be going the opposite way as the guide was written, but was hoping it would automatically sense where we were and play the applicable part of the tour. It did this the first couple times and we were enjoying it, but then it stopped and we had to figure out manually what to play next. The fact we were driving clockwise made the information often too late for us to use and just confusing at times. The funny voices we found a bit irritating and we ended up turning off the tour halfway through. Our suggestions: •Make the tour available in a clockwise version also. •Lose the character voices and the quizzes •Perfect the playing of the correct section at the appropriate time automatically. We did get some interesting information but it wasn’t worth the trouble we had making it work.
Although there was some very interesting information about the area, it didn’t really work as it should have. I had to manually start it on several occasions then it failed to work at all once we were on the west side of the trail past the Skyline Trail which was stop 32. We gave up so never heard the remaining half until we got home :( I have an Apple 14pro iPhone but it’s about 3 yrs old so maybe others will have better luck on something newer. Overall, pretty disappointing since we missed so much. The only thing we have to compare it to was the Guide Along app we used for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons as well as Arches and Canyonlands last year. That app was amazing and automatically started once we hit play picking up on wherever we were in or near the parks. This TripVia app definitely needs improving!
The text of the driving tour was interesting and useful. The app was a disaster. Maybe it's optimized for iPhone, but we had nothing but trouble. First: we went around the loop clockwise, and all the text was written for counter-clockwise. The description claims you can use the tour in either direction, but you really can't. By the time the text plays at a particular place (IF it plays...more on this later) you're past most of what the tour is talking about. The tour does not launch reliably. Although it is supposed to launch automatically when you approach a site, we found it only did so about 1/3 of the time. The rest of the time we had to manually launch it, or the passenger had to read the text. Part of the problem is that if there is a phone attached to Android Auto to be used for navigation in the car, then Bluetooth functionality is shut off. So we couldn't use Google Maps to navigate. This wasn't a huge problem, but it means that the whole segment of the app intended to provide driving directions simply can't be used. The provider REALLY needs to re-record a version for people traveling clockwise around the loop. In fact, I highly recommend traveling that direction, as it is much less traveled, and it saves the really beautiful views (except for the Skyline Trail in the national park) for the end of the trip. The app also needs work so that it does, in fact, launch when a site is approached AND it needs to work through Android Auto, so that Bluetooth is not the only option. This was quite cheap, so we don't feel that we were conned out of a lot of money, but most of our experience with this tour was very frustrating.
Very helpful and informative. Some info was outdated
It provided fun facts and good suggestions along the way. The individual providing the audio was enjoyable to listen to. We didn't use the automated play and instead listened ahead to decide if we wanted to stop at an upcoming stop which worked for us. I suggest browsing the app before the trip to ensure you download it and know how to use it and identify top places you definitely want to stop at because there are a lot of suggestions. We found the app easy to use and had no issues using it.
Fantastic stops and loads of info on each stop. Really great experience
Great facts along the route & we enjoyed the questions too! Thank you so much for creating this audio & app!!
Was really nice to hear about the areas we were traveling thru and definitely added to our experience. Was a little annoying that every time we stopped except for one, we had to close the app and restart for it to work correctly. The area we were in had Internet connectivity issues which I am sure is the reason. Overall happy with the tour.
Very informative. The app plays the stops automatically. You dont have to stop or hit play each Time
Annoying character accents at times hard to understand. Had to trigger all of the content manually while traveling solo. Skimpy info. Only saving grace is that it was very cheap.
Context was good and learned a lot but the only issue was that audio was assuming that we were driving counter clock wise and that was not the case (it is a loop).
Informative Easy to set up Interesting--history to current Fun Clear directions Runs automatically Can repeat info Travel at own pace
Unable to connect... I kept getting bounced out
did not work with apple car play there is no cell service for much of cape Brenton turning car on and off map was thought to be downloaded on phone but would not come up on phone or car navigation screen new i phone new car
Extremely interesting and informative. Excellent presentation full of wonderful details. Presentation covers a broad range of topics
This was an informative companion to have on the drive. I learned new things and enjoyed the commentary. I would suggest it to someone driving the Cabot Trail for the first time.
