Rodd Royalty

This was my second time staying at the Rodd Royalty, and once again, it was such a wonderful experience! The location is so incredibly convenient and makes getting around Charlottetown easy. I also had dinner at Wally’s during my stay and absolutely loved my lobster roll. A perfect first meal when arriving on the island. What truly stands out about the Rodd Royalty, though, is the people. I genuinely don’t think there is anywhere that is as kind, welcoming, and caring. Every interaction feels thoughtful and sincere, and that level of hospitality makes such a difference. I’m so happy I came back for a second stay, and I would absolutely recommend the Rodd Royalty to anyone visiting Charlottetown. It really feels like a home away from home! ❤️

Booked directly, left stranded with a baby — Aug 8–9 We booked two rooms directly through Rodd Royalty's own website for the night of August 8th–9th. When we arrived, we were told they were overbooked and had no rooms for us. We were completely willing to go elsewhere, that's not the issue. The problem is how it was handled. The only thing offered was another hotel at a price far above what we'd booked, with the expectation that we'd simply absorb the difference ourselves. When a hotel overbooks, walking a guest to a comparable room and covering the price difference is the basic standard. That didn't happen here. We were left to either overpay or sort it out on our own, with a baby in tow. We ended up with nowhere to stay. Overbooking happens, but failing to make it right is a choice. Booking direct is supposed to give you certainty; instead it gave us a stressful night and zero accountability. I can't recommend staying here.

The rooms are bright and spacious with a large roomy bathroom. The service was friendly and welcoming. The location is bang on. Local grocery store, restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Their pool is beautiful and although the slide was closed they have a very cool looking fun waterslide and a lounging games room. Their free hot breakfast was typical and delicious. I highly recommend and would come back and stay here in a heartbeat!

We had a fantastic stay at the Rodd Royalty in Charlottetown! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel so welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The hotel is incredibly family-friendly, making it a great choice for anyone travelling with kids. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made it easy to relax after a busy day exploring PEI. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast. There was an excellent variety of hot and cold options, and everything was fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to start each day without having to worry about finding breakfast elsewhere. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming, and family-oriented hotel in Charlottetown with outstanding service and a great free breakfast, I highly recommend the Rodd Royalty. We'd definitely stay here again!
