Honestly, this was shockingly amateurish. It felt more like a school production than a professional show. The whole thing was dated, badly executed and just not enjoyable. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend it even if it were free. What I really don’t understand is how it has so many good reviews. We left completely baffled. A total waste of an evening.

We were notified by the HILT Theater at 7pm, 8/11 that the production was cancelled. I asked the Theatre for a refund, please process refund to me. Thanks, Bob Michelic
Combination of visit of the historic underground with modern show that is full of effect. fun and interesting moments on the small stage. Place is very familiar and not full of hundreds of tourists so you can feel private. It makes the feeling like 3D UV show, after the visit me and my boyfrined we both had dreams about the show! The staff is very friendly, price is evergae for such a show in Prague. Thanks to only few places to sit there you get friendly sevice and welcomming, you can talk to actors and the director after the show. The show is non verbal that is great to meet any nationality in one audience room.
Sadly I am not able to rate this as 0. If you are thinking of going to this performance, think again. I have seen better, more professional productions at infant schools. The costumes and wigs looked like they had been retrieved from a child’s dressing up box. The production made no sense and its only saving grace was that it was sooo (unintentionally) dreadful that we found it hysterical. You can meet the cast afterwards and listen to them bragging about their wonderful performance, how they have travelled the world and how much more amazing the show is on a big stage! Hilarious, but for all the wrong reasons.
I feel really mean rating this show so harshly but we a number of issues. - First and foremost they recommend you arrive 30 minutes before the show. It's down a small side street and quite easy to miss but 10 minutes would probably be enough unless you want to get a drink at the bar. In the theatre itself, an endless loop of short teasers and snippets of the history of black light made the 30 minute waiting time really crawl. Just too repetitive. - Overall the show wasn't like any of the traditional black light shows we've seen on previous visits to Prague. Kudos to the company for trying something different but for the most part it just felt like a not particularly good dance show performed in low light. That said, there was actually too much light on stage due to the use of projected images which killed the impact of any black light elements. The narrative was also lost on us as short scenes played out on screen between dance sequences. - There were 2 nice sections - a sequence with a floating mask that came right up to the front row and another lovely sequence where lots of well choreographed fluorescent hands suddenly appeared around one of the characters. - Sadly the rest of the show just gel for us.
If this was intended to be a farce, they nailed it. However I don't think that was their plan and it was not advertised as such. The show was 70 min long and the seats were quite hard, after 30 minutes most in the audience were fidgeting.
Nice new experience. Idyllic old place and friendly service. Been to many kind of theathers but never in a black light one. Special thanks to Theo ☺️
Great entertainment! It was a very pleasant evening, engaging and fun. Our group was of very different ages, but everyone enjoyed the show.
HILT BlackTheatre is definitely one of the things you should not miss when visiting Prague! It is a captivating performance that combines clever visual effects and energetic music while telling a story of love, life and things we lost and found again. Preformance are often interactive and will keep you engaged and entertained. It is facinating to find out in the end how few actors are actually performing in various roles, and how well put together is the music, dance and the entire story line. HILT BlackTheatre also has excellent reputation outside Czechia, and succesfully "exports" the black theatre magic to countries such as India and elsewhere.
"The light show was extremely amateur. The visuals lacked imagination and failed to impress, leaving the audience underwhelmed. The sound quality was subpar, making it hard to enjoy any of the music. Overall, it was a very poor-quality experience. Would not recommend."
Great team – gave it their all! The show was 1.5 hours of creativity, humor, and impressive effects. If you're in Prague, don't miss the HILT Black Light Theatre – it's a true cultural highlight. I would definitely go again!
Quite an experience. Elements of the show were really good and very effective, other parts less so . For the price glad we went
Show was amazing, everything was perfectly organized. I've never seen something similar like that. Music as well as arrangement of the show were great. I really do recommend to visit the theater when you are in Prague.
Nice light and visual effect, good narrative, choreography was amazing as well. Sound was in compliance with movements and very impressive
We were in Prague just before Christmas and visited this show. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, the prsor was cozy and very nice. We liked the show itself.
Very interesting and extraordinary performence. I would definitely recommend for you to go and enjoy it yourself when you visit Prague.
IT ISa nice, modern, emotional performenc. The performances are full of color. Each of them is inspired by a different country.
Very Nice, Perfecto, ... We loves the show, you can see, that the dancers Are putting their heards into it.... Muchas Gracias...
Very interesting combination of historic place and light show. I give only four stars because the sound was loud. The show was nice
Awesome show, my first time, and not last, for sure. I loved it. Lovely place and actors. If you want something unique and new, try this!
A funny and creative performance, with a family atmosphere. I recommend that you come and enjoy a great performance from the creative team of the HILT theater.
The show was canceled, the money refunded.
silly performance by amateurs who could not move, let alone dance. Ridiculously bad. Thinking about fire, panic, etc., made us feel quite sick. There was no emergency exit in this basement hole. Highly negligent handling!!
Fantastic show from start to finish! A really beautiful and entertaining experience with lots of energy and imagination. You are hooked from the first moment, and time flies by. It was clear that a lot of work and passion had been put into the show, and the music, stage show, and performance came together in a higher unity. An experience we can definitely recommend to others if you want a cozy and different evening. We had a really good experience.
Absolutní bomba! Propracovaná show plná překvapivých momentů. Kvalitní hudební zpracování protkané romantickou dějovou linkou, které odhalí pouze citlivý divák. Děti si přijdou taky na své, polapí je propracované efekty a rekvizity. Z herců čiší nadšení a láska k divadlu a tanci.
My family and I bought tickets from Spain to attend a performance of Teatro Negro in Prague and found a venue without security measures. The show had nothing to do with the real black theatre in Prague. The scenery and costumes were very poor and unprofessional. Far removed from what we expected, although we had fun with some of the scenes.
I went to a Black Theatre show a few years ago and this is a disgrace by comparison. It was the worst show I've ever been to. I don't understand how you're still doing. Please don't go, you're gonna regret it just getting to the place. I wanted to leave after 5 minutes, but my daughter started laughing at how bad I was and I decided to stay. The place is disgusting, dangerous and unprofessional. It has nothing to do with it being ancient. It is not well cared for and is unsafe. We don't know if people were drunk, but they definitely looked like it. The performance is mediocre and looks more like a preschool work, you can see the extras and the objects that they use 100%, it is uncoordinated, boring and has zero consistency. There was too much light and everything was visible. They incorporate a projector, "shadow" theater and the only interactive thing was that they threw a balloon at us. People in the audience were more entertained laughing at each other than at the same presentation. Its only entertainment value is involuntary comedy.
Nicely meant: you sit very tight - almost on stage, which is also very small. Therefore, we have attributed the simple presentation to the low revenue that can be generated with 50 seats. Overall amateurish, piecemeal scenes . The dancers were also not very professional, rather the quality of rhythmic gymnastics. Few employees who then also appear as dancers on stage. It all seems a little provisional. A water gun should imitate rain. We had to fight laughter a few times.
Authentic and original experience to do in Prague. Do not expect the classic theater but something really special and super engaging, all in an intimate and ancient setting. The theater company is a really beautiful group, a family. If you are looking for passion for art and theatre then this is the place. That's great! We will be back for sure and can’t wait. Great HILT 🖤✨
Úžasné predstavenie!! Skvelé výkony a veľmi pekný umelecký zážitok. Doporučujem všetkým navštíviť toto predstavenie!
Bola som na vystupeni byli absolutne skvělý excelentne vystupenie zohrany ľudia ktery podali profesionalny vykon doporucuji všem
Images of Love je predstavenie plné lásky a fantázie. A prostredie divadla ešte zážitok z toho umocní. Boli ste super !!
Velmi krásné :) Světelné a taneční výkony na vysoké úrovni :) Doporučuji. Určitě navštívím s celou rodinou až přijedeme do Prahy.
Úžasné! Nám i dětem se to moc líbilo! Mohu doporučit! Děti byly nadšené, byly i součástí scény, což se jim moc líbilo. Při odcházení se s námi mile loučili.
super show, ochotny personal, bar, vyborne sme se pobavili byla to uzasna show v malinkem divadle, kde herci predvedli vybornej vykon a pak nam jeste ochotne poradili jak se odtat kam jsme potrebovali
That's the worst thing I've ever seen. Bad. We actually left shortly after we started because it didn't look like it was going any better. We weren't the only ones getting out. The very dreary and small venue, without stage, perform at the same height on the ground and looks like a schoolboy performance. You see all the moves they make and they hit you in the face with the suits. FATAL 😕😕
An extremely interesting show. Unconventional with great attention to detail. Homely atmosphere with 50 seats.
Underground was not only the location but also the performance. It is hard to put into words what has been seen. After 60 minutes of shock and bewilderment, the nightmare was over.
