Michal was a fantastic guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He gave us lots of suggestions for local restaurants. We recommend touring with him!

Itinerary
Kick off your food journey near a famous park and hear all about it's history
Follow your nose, past the park, to one of the first independent bakeries and enjoy their traditional Czech pastries that holds a portion of fruit surrounded by a puffy dough. No more than 5 minutes away is your next stop. Go to a restaurant where soup is different every day and ranges from potato soup, beef, chicken, celery, onion or garlic - any way you’ll be in for a tasty surprise!
Spot a great example of communist-era architecture and what’s considered the highest building in Prague, before heading to the farm market and meet Miroslav Krčmář. A farmer who makes traditional cheeses and try one of his bestsellers, Korbáčik, a smoked cheese interwoven into fine braids. Head to a nearby seller of delicious wines and enjoy pairing with your cheese.
Enjoy wandering around this amazing farmers market, to taste delicious bread with egg salad and try a one of a kind quality meat product, a smoked sausage made from beef or pork and smoked in the smoke of oak wood in a small farm - the taste is amazing!
Pass by the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord and hear the amazing stories before trying a local favorite - Tlačenka, followed by a beloved type of open sandwich topped with different toppings from hard boiled eggs, cheese, ham, smoked fish, and vegetables.
Enjoy a local hidden Gem on your way to an amazing park with the perfect view of the castle. Take it all in with a taste of traditional cake washed down with what Prague is most famous for, it's a delicious beer!

This was a fun tour with a substantial lunch of traditional Czech cuisine. After lunch we tried some sweet Czech dumplings (knedliky) that were delicious. We also had several good Czech beers. Madeline, our guide, also showed us some of the important sites in Old Town.
Tomas was an excellent guide. During the three-hour tour, he not only introduced us to a variety of tasty food but also provided insights into the various communities where we stopped and ate.
We had a great time with Michal. The dishes felt authentic/local, and ranged from hearty soup to an open sandwich to a pickled cheese (and beer), and finally pastries/desserts. We even did a wine tasting along the way. It was our first night in town, so Michal generously got us to our 'home' tram (22) and explained the short-trip fare option for <=30 minutes. We did some walking, but it was good to see a couple neighborhoods, a whole range of eateries, and stretch out between sit-downs for food.
Michal was brilliant, he took great care to ensure all of our needs were met. He has great stories and connected the food to his life and family traditions. We made fast friends while enjoying local delicacies off the main tourist areas. He did a great job of bringing us to authentic small and family-run venues. The experience was truly memorable.
Michel has a wonderful knack for conveying the feel of experiencing the local culture through food and drink. What a great experience to enjoy the local flavors in the setting where most live their daily lives. Wonderful tour and experience. He is quite the photographer, as well.
We expected a food tour to sample Prague related food. This was advertised as 10 tastings of Prague. Other reviews of this tour reflected various tastings on their tours. This one did not. Coffee and a beer stop. One meal (shared) with 2 cheese hors d’oeuves. Guide was pleasant and entertaining on personal Prague anecdotes and interesting points on city. But I left with an empty feeling different from food tours in other cities.
A lovely guide, but the food was disappointing for the £71 each fee. We would have expected a main course, as well as just a few snacks and cake.
With Locals, it’s the way to go, especially for a food tour. Our guide Tomas was great. We were outside of the city center for the tour. He took us to places where the locals go and enjoy the local foods. While it did not match his grandmothers, he assured us it was close. Tomas was a great guy, very open about the culture and we have a great time. I was tired and I was satisfied that I tasted local food, had local drink. I had a great time.
Our guy TOnas Was lovely and informative. However, we do not re-recollect having 10 tastings. The food selection was just OK. But we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Still waiting on the photos he took of us
An amazing tour with Tomas, who was knowledgeable fun and a great host! Can’t recommend this tour highly enough, and you also get to see some interesting local areas off the beaten track
Mikael was an excellent host, and we had a great time wandering around Prague with him. The food, beer and wine was magnificent. There is so much more to Czech food than goulash and dumplings! This tour is highly recommended.
Tomas was our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour he curated was amazing every single dish and drink we had was delicious. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to do something fun and cultural in Prague.
Getting to see the less touristy part of town and having food from more authentic places was super cool. Our guide was not only very knowledgeable about the local secrets, he was friendly too.
We wish we’d found this app and Luci at the beginning of our holiday- Luci helped us to navigate the transit system...we stopped at several spots - had beer and pickled sausage with Brie and paprika at one spot- great tastings at a neighbourhood butcher shop- delicious coffee and sweets at a tucked away cafe - split a sandwich and more sweets at another We really enjoyed and saw how the locals live - highly highly recommend! Luci was great!!
My daughter and are so glad we choose this experience Our guide Ivanka had a lively personality that shared not only her knowledge of local foods , and if your a dessert lover you will especially enjoy her choices, but as an added bonus she shared her wealth of knowledge of the history of Prague and her people.
He is just not your local tour guide, he is your friend! knowledgeable about Prague and other countries! Will be coming back and book tour with him to other places! Thanks Michal
We had a brilliant time with Lucie. She really loves where she lives and this shows in her positive, fun, delicious and knowledgeable tour. We learnt all about Czechia, there culture and traditions. Ate a lot of varied and delicious food and drank some local cola and beer. The half & half beer was great. We really had a wonderful time with Lucie and loved Prague.
Our family of older and adult teenagers really enjoyed our tour with Michael on our first day in Prague. Michael was engaging and knowledgeable about both traditional food and Czech history. He gave up lots of useful info and restaurant tips. All the food was delicious and not what we would have ordered, especially the traditional open sandwiches and pickled Camembert! Thanks for a great tour, we highly recommend Michael.
As a family that does not often get to spend time all together, it was fantastic to have a private, personal walking tour tailored to our pace and requests. Barbara was extremely warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout our experience. We had a wonderful time exploring new neighborhoods and food with her - not to mention lovely conversation. Highly recommended!
Our guide was Ivana and she was lovely. We really loved that the tour was in a different part of Prague that you might not normally see. She had great knowledge on the history, architecture, culture and food of Prague. Great conversationalist and made you feel comfortable. She made extra stops due to our interests, an art deco hotel. Food was amazing and a great chance to try some local cuisine. Definitely fills you up. Recommend doing this at the start of your stay so you know what good food to eat and where to get it.
Our local food tour with Michal was very interesting, tasty and fun. Since Michal grew up in Karlin neighborhood, he shared several personal stories from his years there. The food experiences focused on high-quality shops. The first three were very traditional Prague eateries serving traditional baked goods, breads, salads and other treats. Open faced sandwiches, pickled cheese and sausage and fresh pilsner beer. Fourth stop was a very modern, upscale 'cake factory', with bakers on display making amazing sweet creations. Enjoy a treat and a cafe before heading outside for hot mulled wine at the Young Town Christmas market Michal was accommodating and enthusiastic, making good food suggestions, describing why certain dishes are Czech staples and giving thoughtful recommendations for other Prague activities and attractions. We really enjoyed it. Thank you Michal.
This was my 1st time visit to Prague, and the tour with Michal was the best choice to explore this fascinating city. I already feel like I knew so much about this city, people and food just after a few hours tour, thanks for Michal. He is really a genuine nice guy, knowledgeable and easy to chat. I actually went to a couple of different restaurants he recommended, they were also memorable experience. Thank you Michal.
Four of us had the pleasure of Michal's total knowledge of food and the City. At every step we were kept informed of everything we needed to know. The food samples were generous and the locations perfect. Overall a great tour, well priced and well conducted.
We had a great food tour with Lucie. Easy instructions as to where to meet and we visited lots of local cafes. She added in a walk to a city park with a panoramic view of Prague. We tasted several traditional pastries, both sweet and savory, sausages and of course wonderful Czech beer. She is delightful and quite knowledgeable about her city and is very well-traveled herself. Would not hesitate to book with her again. Thanks, Lucie
Great time with Dimitrios on an evening foodie tour. We walked from Old Town to the Little Quarter and dined on Prague specialities in a medieval underground restaurant. Dimitrios is full of knowledge, excellent English (lived in Australia), and a great sense of humor… we highly recommend him!
Michal is an excellent tour guide. We went to some restaurants we wouldn't have found on our own. He is chatty, funny and a pleasure to have met during the duration of the tour. Would I recommend him? yes!
One of the favorite parts of our two week trip to Europe was spending the afternoon with Michaela. We feel we got to experience the true flavor of Praha combined with great commentary. Michaela told us about the cuisine and did a great job of getting us a variety of things to try. Truly, we had a great time and the intimacy of the tour was fantastic. Worth every minute!
Very enjoyable food tour with Lucie. She was so easy to talk to and we learned a lot about Prague. The food was all great and very filling.Loved the beer and wine too. Thank you for a great afternoon!
Even though Michaela is not a born and bred local her knowledge of Prague including the food and wine she introduced us too was superb! She tailored the tour to us and all along we felt like we were visiting with a friend to the local cafes and bars. To top it all off she sent us the recipes for some local dishes that we fell in love with so we could recreate at home. I have used WithLocals a number of times in different countries Spain, Prague and Thailand and have never been disappointed.
What a great tour! Mihal took us to places we would not have known about & introduced us to some local specialties. Highlights: amazing beer with pickled cheese; the unbelievable pastry shop & the glass of Moravian wine. Mihal knows quality food & it was fun touring with him!
Barbara is a wonderful guide & her love for Prague is evident during the tour. Not only did we eat some delicious food, we also learned things about different areas in Prague that we would not have otherwise known.Spending time with Barbara was like reconnecting with an old friend - very comfortable with natural conversation.Thank you very much, Barbara!
Barbara the tour guide was fantastic, and really made our day. She was animated, welcoming, informative, friendly and knowledgeable. She answered our many questions enthusiastically and explained a lot about Prague as well as the food and drink we were consuming. The pick up point was easily found and the locations she took us to were excellent. Wear sensible shoes and try not to eat too much before the tour!
Michaela was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great. We all had a great time. Thanks so much Michaela!
We had Michal who was a great. He took us to where the locals eat at non-touristy restaurants, bars, a wine shop and a dessert place. All was good. He was very personable about his cat and his other travels which is nice to hear about. Highly recommend this tour! And it was just our family, very personal.
Our afternoon with Michaela was filled with good food, good drinks and good information on the Czech Republic.Michaela is very friendly and knowledgeable. She was prompt and was willing to answer all our questions about Prague. She was a great guide.
We were very fortunate to have Barbara as our guide. She indulged us with her local knowledge and was happy to answer questions. We were able to make a change to the itinerary on the fly, when we walked past a small local ice cream cafe, specialising in ice cream sandwiches. Barbara was also able to adjust her itinerary quickly when the butcher she had planned for us to visit was unexpectedly closed. A most enjoyable 3 hours spent in a part of Prague that most visitors don’t get to see. The local food and drinks were delightful choices. We did not even mind the rain.
The food tour with Dimitrios was excellent. He was quite knowledgeable on the local food, culture, and history of the city. He adjusted the tour to fit with the different ages and preferences of our family members while still keeping the tour focused on local cuisine. Our kids enjoyed the tour and food selections that were selected. What a wonderful way to spend an evening in Praha. Great job Dimitrios!
I'm glad we went 'WITH LOCALS'. Our food tasting trip was just as expected (in fact better). We were precisely among the locals - at least that's what we felt when Michal was with us. We didn't feel like tourists. We didn't go to touristy places. These were hidden gems. All places had great food and drinks. Michal was kind enough to help us with our special grocery shopping too. Thank you Michal for such great hospitality.
Dimitrios was a fantastic guide. Very attentive and receptive to our groups needs. Dimitrios has an incredible knowledge of Czech history and was generous and patient answering our questions. He is passionate about Czech history both modern and ancient and we learnt so much about the people and culture of the Czech Republic. Dimitrios recommendations for restaurants were great and he made our experience in Prague extremely rewarding. Highly recommend joining one of Dimitrios tours. Number one in Prague.
We were met promptly by Michal and shown various food and drink tasting in local area . He was informative, friendly and provided a Funtime for our 3 hour adventure . Would advice others to do this tour ,
Michel was super! He was courteous and prompt, meeting us at a convenient location. We went to bars and restaurants and bakeries that we never would have found on our own. We were pleased to return to 1 Restaurant a couple more times on her own as it was close to our hotel. I doubt that we would have gone in on our own. Recommending this tour anytime u are in Prague.
We enjoyed an amazing tour with Michael. He was knowledgeable, charming and patient, answering our endless questions. We all agreed that this unique twist on the "touristy" type tour was such a better experience. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time with Michal, who gave generously with his time in showing us around Prague. We decided to do the food tour as soon as we arrived, and it was so good to have a local show us around, explain to us the history of the monuments we passed by, and get familiar with the city centre. And of course the food! We are not big on alcohol, so Michal customised our tour to try different cakes and desserts and other drinks (hot chocolate was SO GOOD!). Thank you Michal for a great introduction to Prague, we enjoyed our time here much more because of you!
We really enjoyed the tour with Michal. he is very friendly and informative, It was a nice walk and talk, and the food was delicious. he took us to authentic "real Czech" spots we would never know about by ourselves. a definite must when visiting Prague.
Adela was a delightful guide. She took us to places we could not have found ourselves and gave lots of advice about places to go and photos to take.
Michal was a great host and the four of us who went on the tour had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Michal was relaxed and easy to talk to showing us a side of Prague we wouldn't have found alone. Would happily recommend him and the food tour to anyone visiting Prague.
Fantastic food tour! Lucie was a perfect guide to the local foods and drinks. She is very warm and helpful, and we felt like we were talking to an old friend by the time we sadly parted. Thank you so much!!
Lucie was such a lovely guide, she is in the food business herself and so had a lot of knowledge and interesting facts to share with us, as well as choose the most delicious bits for us to try! The food was mostly all new for us and it was all delicious, one of our members was a vegetarian and she was easily catered for. Such a lovely experience which takes you well off the beaten track and fills your belly with delicious treats.
We had a lovely time on Lucie's tour. We tried lots of local treats as well as sampled a local beer and wine. I'm vegetarian but my friends arent and Lucie managed to cater for us all which I am very grateful for. Lots of cheese, sausage and cured meats (for the meat eaters), beer and delicious bread and/or pastry treats. Took us to local spots that we wouldnt have discovered otherwise and was very knowledgable and kind. Thanks Lucie!
