It was a very touching experience. Part of it seemed a little rushed and it would have been nice to have an added hour on the tour to see some of the sights we were not able to.

It is very thought provoking and quite harrowing. I am glad I went but it left a very lasting impression on me. It was interesting to hear all the history attached and see the town and fortresses .
Very moving experience and our guide was excellent. Very informative and I appreciate all the history explained during the drive.
It is most definitely a worthwhile trip and very moving. The guide at the fort was excellent. Our group guide was very knowledgeable, however it was hard to understand sometimes as she had to switch between English and Spanish to accommodate the group. The visit to the museum felt a bit rushed. Do try and visit the site, it is an important piece of history.
This is an active and educational trip to Terezin. You will learn a lot about this camp and how it functioned during WWII. The museum held more information than we had time for and is worth a return visit. Our guide Stephan was so helpful and knowledgeable.
Very thoughtful and sensitive tour. It was chilling given the nature and history of Terezin but we felt the experience was very tactfully curated and the guides were extremely knowledgeable with excellent English. We had Jan who was a brilliant guide who answered all our questions
Our tour guide,Evona, was excellent. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and her English was excellent. Fascinating tour. I would have given a 5 star except that the second tour guide that gave the 1 hour tour at the Small Fortress had a heavy combination Czech/Phillipines accent rendering most of her narration incomprehensible.
I wish that the larger fortress had more description. The tour of the small fortress is well done with a great deal of description from our young, male tour guide. The larger fortress, which is essentially the Jewish ghetto created by the Nazis, needs more description by the guide since what was there in the 1930s and 40s is largely changed. We cannot expect the Czechs to reserve the city as a giant museum, but we can expect the guide to identify buildings in town and tell us what they were in the days of the Holocaust. She did a little of this but we needed more before we were delivered to a museum for the last hour of our tour.
Informative and highly.moving trip handled so well by superb guides. 100% recommend The guide Veronica was exceptional
This was a truly emotional and unforgettable trip. Our tour guides, Venorica and Rosa, did an excellent job explaining the history and stories behind everything we experienced throughout the journey. Their knowledge, passion, and thoughtful explanations made the trip even more meaningful and touching. Thank you both for making this such a memorable and moving experience!
Very good tour which was informative and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone in our group was impressed with the guide and the experience.
Really interesting day Good overall coverage of the camp Learned stuff I didn't know Very glad I went The guide was very knowledgeable
Insightful and sobering. Informative and unforgettable. Always good to remember so that it never happens again!
This was an extremely informative excursion. Our guide, Lucy, did a fabulous job explaining and preparing us for what we were about to see. We got a better perspective of this time in history.
Was worth going to. Very interesting to learn about the past. So sad about the suffering people went through in World War Two. Wear good shoes as there is plenty of walking but I walked with two sticks and managed everything.
Wonderful host, sadly, I can't remember her name, did a great job of providing a quick history of Czechoslovakia, the Nazis & a quick review of the Russian occupation. The Terezin (3 hours) portion of the tour was informative particularly the information that cell 1 held Gavrilo Princip, the assassin that triggered World War I in 1914 by killing Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The site (2 large sites) where very interesting and worthy of a 5 hour investment. Loveld the tour, highly recommend.
Wonderful tour with Sofia! We enjoyed our time with her and everything she shared on our tour. Would definitely recommend
The English guide at the small fortress was very difficult to understand and she also rushed us through the tour so I was not happy with it. The tour guide Lucy on the bus was a lot better and easy to understand.
The PA system was terrible! We kept telling our guide the sound was extremely muffled and we couldn’t make out the words. Very disappointing since we paid for a guided tour. He didn’t really seem to care about the problem and kept talking mumbo jumbo…
Wish I could give this tour a NO STAR but that’s not possible. The so called “tour guide” was rude. The bus had English speaking travelers Italian speaking travelers and Spanish speaking travelers . The incredibly rude guide spends time translating back and forth between English and Spanish. When asked if the group would go with him or somewhere else- he said “if you’d like”. The instructions on what time to meet after the initial tour were not clear since the English speakers had a different guide on arrival. Then the guide seemed annoyed when he had to come back to the initial stop to get me ( since I was left behind). He was courteous enough to then discuss with other travelers what an “inconvenience to him and to other travelers it was and how none of it was his fault” - in Spanish. That’s very professional!!! Terezín is worth seeing but NOT with this company. That tour guide was the worst. He argued with a traveler that “the United States did nothing about what was happening in Terezin”. You could probably do this tour on your own minus the nasty attitude and comments of a miserable so called tour guide. Poor customer service.

We had an excellent trip to Terezín. Lucy accompanied us from Prague and was friendly, knowledgeable and gave us plenty of interesting information and historical context throughout the journey. At Terezín we had another guide who took us around the camp and was also excellent, explaining the history in a very respectful and informative way. It is a very moving place to visit and an experience that really makes you reflect on what happened there. An excellent, well-organised trip that we would highly recommend.
Comprehensive tour of 3 sites at Terezín. I don’t usually do guided tours but this was an excellent way to get an overview of the different areas at Tezerin with the convenience of having a guide and transportation take you exactly where you needed to go. Our guide (who originally is from Ukraine) was excellent.
Excellent tour, well-worth it
The guide was excellent and the entire tour was very informative. Working with Viator was a very easy process from start to finish.
Pricey and lack luster tour. We went on the tour as my spouse had researched and written about Terezin in a college thesis. No concentration camp tour is happy as you focus on our civilization’s worst instincts and actions. But you sign up for a tour to hear a story; gain some insights. Our guide for the day obviously didn’t want to be there and quickly rattled off numerical facts at each point. Facts we could read in the displays or site labels. You can reach the camp/fortresses by bus car and bike. The main camp structure has an audio guide. While Terezin and the two fortresses are worth a visit, we’d recommend going on your own and skipping this tour. The films that show in the theatre in the museum in the town are interesting artifacts.
My husband & I booked a bus tour to Terezin for May 26th. Soon after the bus left from the meeting-point, my husband had a cardiac arrest. It was an awful experience which would have been traumatic for those in the bus as everyone was witness to the immediate aftermath of attempts at resuscitation, the arrival of the police & paramedics etc. As I have no way of directly contacting Viator to pass along my thanks to those who became involved in this incident I am leaving this review in the hope that those who assisted with CPR know that they saved my husband's life that day. I also want to acknowledge the efforts of the woman on the tour who spoke to the police & likely convinced them to take me to the hospital when the ambulance said I could not travel with my husband. Our vacation came to an immediate end but after some time on the I.C.U. ward we were able to repatriate home in the company of a Dr & my husband remains alive today due to the efforts of those unnamed heroes. I hope this update will bring some peace of mind to those who had to witness everything - the speed at which people responded made all the difference to the outcome. Thank you to all involved!
It is a very emotional tour because of what went on there. Much time was spent in the small fort and little time in the large fort.. there is a lot of walking on stones. It’s very flat but you need to make sure you wear good shoes. we were on an English speaking tour and there were Italian speaking people as well. So the guide was speaking in English, that was very hard to understand and then translating into Italian. Sometimes I couldn’t even tell which language he was speaking. The tour would’ve been much more meaningful if I could have understood the English.
Great instructor talked from bus pickup to almost all the way back. Great google instructor
Very sobering tour... One that everyone should do sometime in their life. The atrocities were unbelievable and the guide was very knowledgeable although sometimes hard to understand. We toured the entire small/large fortress complexes plus the crematory facility (which was the hardest part to see). I recommend this tour, but be mentally prepared for what you will experience. The location for pick up was a long walk from Lesser Town (25 min) so be prepared to Uber or take the tram if you are on that side of the bridge.
Karolina was a great guide. The tour was well organized and Karolina was very knowledgeable. The small fortress at Terezín was the highlight and the local guide there was also very knowledgeable.
Carolina was a source of endless knowledge and information and contributed towards making this the best tour wee did during our 4 days in Prague
Carolina, our guide, gave us a lot of background info and Czech history through the ages - leading up to WW2. the visit is a must for anyone visiting Czech
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting, however it was incredibly rushed and we never got the opportunity to fully appreciate the experience. The day we did it was very hot and we never even got time to grab a drink. This would be better as a full day tour. Not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Very interesting tour and all walking was on flat land but very rugged surfaces of differing levels. If you have or need walking cane or sticks I recommend you bring them. The streets and paths are all bricks or rocks. The tour guide was excellent and very attentive to safety. I am glad I attended this tour and highly recommend it.
Disappointing experience with a guide that didn't give us time to see anything. Part of the people in the group that were Spanish speaking received the tour guide that was booked with the activity itself & rode with us in the bus. We could see how she took the other group into different rooms and areas and explained along the way. The English speaking group was kept in the courtyard and not given any time to really see the rooms that the guide explained about. She just said "there's nothing to see there." So if there's nothing to see, why did I spend time and money on this activity and not able to see anything? Also, you are taking away from the tremendous importance of Terezin by saying this. What an insult to the memries of those that suffered and died there. Also, there was a large statue which was clearly a memorial. When I asked what it was depicting and the significance of it, simply was told “it’s a memorial for the victims.” Very poor quality guide. More upsetting is that after informing Viator of this issue, was informed that as the tour took us to each site-despite not being giving time to see most of it- they had fulfilled their obligations and would not issue a refund.
Couldn’t hear guide in bus .a bit rushed though parts of main ghetto but overall a worthwhile experience
Guide was informative. He Had to translate into English & German which I think took away from the experience
This trip is a great opportunity to visit Terezin with an excellent guide and driver. Highly recommended for learning about this part of Czech ww2 history.
appropriate shoes for walking, take own lunch and refreshments, theycanstsy on coach as you return to the coach twice
Visiting Terezín from Prague was a deeply moving and unforgettable experience. The tour was very well organised from start to finish, with comfortable transport and clear communication throughout. Our guide was knowledgeable, respectful, and handled such a sensitive historical topic with real care. Learning about the history of Terezín Concentration Camp in person is something that truly stays with you — it gives a powerful perspective you simply can’t get from books or documentaries alone. The pace of the tour was just right, allowing enough time to take everything in without feeling rushed. It’s not an easy visit emotionally, but it’s incredibly important and educational. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague who wants to understand more about history and pay their respects. A very well-run and meaningful experience.
Couldn’t understand guide! Bus driver was a jerk and all over the road! Not a good day! No place to eat from nine till 2 o’clock!
My daughter and I were thankful we booked this tour. The guide provided historical background on the drive to Dresden which prepared us for the tour at Terezin. Very informative and an important part of history we should all understand.
Great way to experience this important site. Good info provided on drive and all parts were well explained. The transportation between the sites was really helpful. Thos was much easier than trying to reach by public bus from Prague.
Romanka did it again! I was so pleased to find out my tour guide was Romanka after a previous tour I had with her earlier in my visit. She was once again friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. The tour itself was well paced, nothing felt rushed, and there was a great mix of the history with the visits. If you are interested in this type of trip then you won’t go wrong with this tour.
A powerful day in which we learned the history of Terezin. We had professional guides who had an intimate knowledge of the subject matter.
I booked the Terezin Day trip from Prague and it was as described. Gustav was the name of both our guide and driver. We felt safe with our driver, despite rainy and snowy conditions. Gustav, our guide, was working so hard, speaking both Italian and English. Most of the people on our tour spoke English so I did notice the few speaking Italian had to wait longer to hear what he was saying since he said everything in English first. Gustav spoke to us about the overview/history of the Terezin area while we were on our way. Once at Terezin, he stayed with the Italian speakers and the rest of us went with a local guide. As other reviewers noted, the guides did have accents, but not so much that I couldn’t understand. At Terezin, I appreciated that we got to tour the small fortress and learn about the steps taken when Jewish prisoners arrived. I also appreciated that we learned the history of the site and use even before World War II. However, I learned about Terezin as a place of nazi propaganda and was hoping to learn more about its role in terms of the deception it had on Jewish people and internationally with the visit from the Red Cross. Despite that, it was an impactful and valuable experience. As described in the tour description, we also visited the museum and krematorium, both a short drive away from each other. If you have time to take this tour, I recommend it as an impactful learning experience.
My friend and I regretted purchasing this tour within the first few minutes of its start. We selected an English tour at booking, but it was unclear that selection was for the Terezin small fortress tour provided by their on-site tour guide. The Premiant City Tour guide switched between multiple languages the entirety of the bus rides, speaking much more often in Italian, and it was very difficult to hear and understand him even with a microphone. Once we got to the small fortress, he would walk a few feet then stop to say something inaudible or out of earshot, and this repeated until we were introduced to the Terezin tour guide for the official English tour. She too was a little difficult to understand, but she was thorough and knowledgeable, despite the pacing feeling a little rushed. People may not return to the same seat on the bus between transports, so be mindful of what you leave behind. The ghetto museum was the second stop, and we purposely did not stay close to the Premiant City Tour guide most of the time for the reasons stated above. At the end, our guide led the group back to the bus while patrons were still using the bathroom, so some had to linger behind to ensure their entire party knew what was going on and where to go. The crematorium was the last stop, but by then we just wanted the tour to be over out of frustration. Overall, I appreciated the convenience of the transportation, but the anticipated weight and significance of the experience felt very diminished due to the tour methods and pacing. There was not a lot of time to linger and take in what you were seeing and rarely a moment of silence to be with your own thoughts. Premiant City Tour should consider providing individual audio guides in lieu of trying to speak to the crowd the entire time. Otherwise, I recommend securing your own transportation and exploring at your own pace.
This was a very emotive and special experience. Everything that we have seen in books and films does not compare to the experience of been in a place where such events took place. I recommend this to all human beings so this scenarios won’t be ever repeated.
The walking tour is a great way to experience and learn the history of the town of Terezin. The tour guides were very knowledgeable.
