Reviewed by 7 year old Jackson. Did you know they have a real tramvaj you can sit in and drive?!! Not a toy one, a real one with the big window and the levers. I stayed there for a very long time. I had to make sure all the people got to their stops on time. The Buttons: There are so many buttons. I pressed all of them. The View: You can see the tracks right in front of you. The Bell: Ding ding! That’s my favorite sound in the whole of Prague. The Huge Model City The trains are cool, but the city is even cooler because it looks like a tiny version of CZ. Day and Night: Every few minutes, the lights go dark and the whole city turns into nighttime. All the tiny streetlights come. It’s like magic. Secret Buttons: If you walk around the glass, there are buttons you can reach. If you push them, things happen! A tractor moves, a light turns on, or a tiny person starts working. I felt like a giant. My Report Was it boring? NO. Never. I can't wait to come back.

First floor of our exposition shows a cut-thru all the technologies and materials, which are used in the second phase of project. Several Czech dominants, the biggest mobile vehicle fleet, video camera built-ins in locomotives, shooting their way thru model and many more technical gadgets - all of these you can see in Kingdom of Railroads. Built-up area there is 115 m2 more over 400 meters of rails, 120 locomotives and wagons, 200 buildings and 1400 trees were used while building-up first phase. On the same floor you may find simulators made from real public transport vehicles. Come to try how you will fill as a train, tram or bus driver! Almost 900 m2 area in the second underground floor is prepared for building up 14 main Czech Republic regions. After this model railroad will be finished, it will become unique in whole Europe, because there is no such big railroad model in one piece yet. These regions are already finished: Ústí nad Labem, Carlsbad, Pilsen, Liberec, Central Bohemia and Prague. Even completion of the model of the Czech Republic is planned at the end of 2022, now we presents more than 580 square meters in a daily operation. You may use one of resting zones, drink and food machines and we have two playgrounds for smaller children, inner elevator for visitors with mobility handicap or baby prams. Your ticket is valid throughout the day so if you prefer a proper meal than a food machine offer, just ask our stuff for a stamp and then you can leave our kingdom, go for lunch nearby and come back ...

Easy to find. Good value. Great for children and adult. Large train layouts. Café and shop. Interactive with buttons to press around the layouts.
Went here with my brother. I was shocked, in good way, of size of the museum building. It had multiple floors. On each you can don’t at least small layout of some sorts. Also you can find parts of real trains/trams/buses where you can sit and even press buttons. The best part, some of them are real working simulators. Loved this place , and will happily come back. (Because main, big layout is still WIP)
Huge model railway layouts with loads of fine detail, working lighting on vehicle , street lights etc as well as interactive tram and bus driving simulators . Cafe and shop on siteGreat for all the family!
Brilliant place for young and old. It was incredible to see all the railway layouts and to see such a huge one with so much detail. I would definitely return as they were adding more to the large layout.
We already visited a similar museum home in Bucharest but this one was on a whole different level. There is plenty to see and do for at least 2-3 hours. Perfect activity on a rainy day.
Please, do not forget to take a food At second, do not forget to eat there in a middle if a day At third, much earlier - much better. About 35...40 attractions, which swallow You and Your sapling completely per 10...60 minutes. Between them: - a real cabin if old-s-cool bus (with a helm sized as an orbit of Mars) - a real cabin of metro thain - a real tramway bus - with system ,,open door - close door" - several rooms with child metal and plastic constructors (installations of plates with bolts and nuts) - auto-rally track (big....no - BIG!) - dynamo-speed track (You must rotate a dynamo wheel for produce a power for Your car, which races a track) - models of trains in size. - real natural sitting places at old -school transport. Old plane chair, old steam-vagon chair etc - something which we did not watch during a day.... Strictly recommend for visit. Minus: very difficult to found in Prague. A simple glass door betweer hundreds of similar doors. Check a place, and be optimistic.
I had a very good opinion about Czechs and Prague until I visited this place with my family. I visited different places for children around Europe, but this was a new experience. Czech parents allow their children to occupy the bus simulator for over 20 minutes, and they don't bother that there is a queue behind them. Parents, usually fathers, behave like bodyguards and block other kids. When my daughter was tired of waiting and tried to approach the bus driver's seat, that kid's father pushed her away. When my husband pointed it out and told him that this ogre could not do that, then this awful guy started to be verbally abusive towards us—in front of his children. We heard a famous Czech welcome phrase, which is @F... you! Unfortunately, no one reacted. Apparently, for other parents, a typical reaction is a lack of reaction. Nothing has changed in the Czech mentality for over 80 years. We couldn't spot anyone from the staff. Maybe one lady who was a lady from the souvenir shop but looked like she had a bad day, too. We avoided confrontation with this tacky family and decided to visit the lower level. We probably spent over half an hour there. We then went back to this bus simulator and spotted the same people we had seen before. If Czech parents don't teach their children to share, apparently, the owner of this place should do that! Please put a big plate in Czech with the information that one child can sit the seat in both simulators for a limited time, for example, 10 minutes. After this awful day, we will never come back to Prague or come here again. It's not worth it!
Attempted to visit and trekked halfway across Prague but despite having a working card machine on the desk the surly and disinterested member of staff told us it was cash only and refused to allow us to pay by card. Very disappointed children, she was quite happy to watch us walk away - can't imagine how much money this place must lose by not allowing customers to visit. Disappointing, but we will visit the plenty of other attractions in Prague that are happy to accept cards. Additionally I find this attraction particularly expensive at 1200czk for 1 adult and 2 children - to put in perspective Prague Zoo is just over 800!
This do not live up to its webpage good advertising, almost al buttons , except sound , is not working properly or its missing items on the tracks. Some tracks not work at all . At the open playable areas for kids own entertainment is really really kept to a minimum,2-3 kids and it’s a fight over the items. For this entrance fee I was expecting a well maintained and more interacting place for the kids .. AS it is advertised to be ! Short, am sorry to say it’s not at all worth the money for the entrance fee . Take your kids some place else.
Very nice place, great for kids. A number of smaller dioramas as well as the big one downstairs. Many lights and animations. Mini-Z race cars one can try. Actual full size buses and trams to crawl on. Bistro.
Very cool railway museum. Very big and detailed model train. The tram and subway simulator was fun! A must see museum when visiting Prague!
Nice surprise as we thought it is not gonna be so big. Our children really enjoyed it. Great place to go when is raining...
My son loves trains. To be honest I was really disappointed here, partly because they have places like this in my home country that are free or very low cost/donation type. I found the entry to be very expensive and a lot of locals were having their kids look in the windows, at the free displays etc which was a bit telling. Anyways. There are a few small setups, some actual docked bus, tram, train, then a very large exhibit covering the majority of the lower level. You can't get very close to most of it. We just couldn't stretch out a lot of time in it but as I felt it was a one time opportunity, it's ok.
A really big model railroad in central Prague. You buy the tickets on the entrance floor and then go down in the basement to the MRR. Really recommended, but as someone said, not that many trains moving at the same time and most of them really short. But well worth a visit.
Great placeto visit for all fans of railways- big or small. The place is easy to find- right beside the shopping centre Novy Smichov. You can easy get there by Metro or tram. In the lobby you have to buy tickets (a little more expensive than expected, but it's worth it). Then you go to the basementto enter. The area is huge. For the first sight you do not expect it, but when you go farther you will see, it goes once more one floor lower and there it is- the small map of the Czech republic. In August 2019 was only 1/3 ready and finished and the other parts were under the constructin. But there are so much to see- modelsof vehiclel, military, lego, planes.... All located in showcases or on the construction site of the map. On the firs floor are located public transports vehicles- tarain, bus and tram which you cen enter and take a ride like a driver. On the front window you see the road as in the reality. You can easy stay for 3-4 hours and stlill keep discovering something new. On the main map you can press buttons on the sides of the map and look at some mechanism how they work. Even the changin of night and day is so realistics. We were excited about the visit and we will definitely come again. Save your ticket as you will get a discount on access to other partner attractions in the Czech Republic, such as the Prachov Rocks or Mirakulum.
Model railways are impressive, but there are also other features worth checking, e.g. historical training simulator for train drivers.
If you ever built a model kit this is amazing. Highly recommend. Even if you've no children. So detailed and well made. A bit dusty in places and take your own refreshments.
Každopádně návštěva fajn, užili jsme si to.
The person in the store didn't even look up, he stayed on his phone.
The museum is large, on several levels in the basement of a building near the Andel metro station ( yellow line ). In addition to a large railway network, with an area being expanded, there are other games ( Igracek, lego, ...) and activities ( Merkur ), driving simulators, model making. It is a rather pleasant place to discover.
The mistake of our trip to Prague! A very disappointing place. From the entrance, quite "gawky" place in the basement of a shopping center. There are actually very few miniature trains, even more like a museum whose purpose is to look for the few trains. A few animations are supposed to go off with buttons... but more than half were out of Service. We quickly cut short our visit, there was nothing to see.
a fantastic world for young and old. However, there is no translation of all the panels explaining the various attractions, they are all in Czech.
If you have visited the place in Hamburg, then you will be badly disappointed here. It is much smaller, yet still beautifully and creatively made. There are dimming lights at intervals, allowing you to see everything in the dark. A nice place for children and adults who like trains and technology.
Be with my son who loves trains. Smaller than Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, but larger area with model railway than Kingdom Railway in Vienna. Works both for adults who are interested in the details of the model railway, but there are also interactive stations that allow even younger children to entertain themselves. You easily spend one or two hours here if it rains. We walked there from Prague Central Station and it took about 40 minutes. There is a shopping center next door.
Museum especially for young children. And especially for anyone who likes trains. For older children it is not worth it, especially if they do not like models.
The first test is to find the cash register and then the entrance to the museum which is located inside a building. But once inside it’s really nice. Model trains as far as the eye can see, trams that you can drive... in short the children loved it and the parents go back to childhood. Great!
We were there with 3 young children. The majority of staff speak no other language than Czech. So it was difficult to communicate. There's a big show with the trains running. Bravo for the work, but after 10min it's good we saw everything. In addition, there are buttons for additional sounds and lights. But the explanations are only in Czech and moreover half no longer works. There are 2-3 simulators of bus, tram etc. This is lame because the machine runs without taking into account the direction chosen by the child. So in other words, you're stupidly watching a movie. In addition, the simulators are pale and partly broken. There's a mini indoor playground that reeks of the closed. We regret that we made the detour and paid so much.
The model railway was bigger than expected. There are various scenes to activate with push buttons. The appearance of the model railway is unfortunately a bit less and sometimes very simple. With children probably very nice, because there are also various peripheral activities such as racetracks and simulators.
A miniature Czech railway paradise for young and old. You can have fun for a few hours without seeing the time pass. Plenty of space to walk around, the models are nicely made, just a shame the boats don't move. On site, everything is really well thought out for children. Some parts are interactive, several play areas, a technical lego building room, 2 large racing circuits for remote controlled cars, there is even a small cafeteria to eat. Really great, a great experience! On the budget side, an entry at the symbolic price of 50 czk for children under 1 m, nice. For adults, 230 czk. Many original toys are for sale, still plan quite wide. Unlike other expensive and uninteresting local activities for tourists, for this one in my opinion every penny is advantageously invested. By the way, a little surprising, the entrance door to buy the ticket is on the 1st floor (store overlooking the street) and the exhibition is on the lower floor that you can reach by elevator if you have a stroller. Lockers are provided free of charge to leave your bags. Really a great place not to be missed if you are on holiday in Prague, even more with family.
Appreciable the idea and the effort to present a mega railway model record able to leave children (and maybe even adults) speechless. Appreciable effort, but the result does not go beyond: overall the place is messy, chaotic in its organization, a little abandoned. It almost seems as if there was a nice initial idea, we started and then suddenly we stopped halfway through the work, or maybe even before. In this state the tourist exploitation becomes difficult and the appeal loses potential: it is not enough a shop in the street, in a great shopping area, captivating and modern to attract visitors and then make them pass into an underground where there is this sort of ‘realm of trains’ in a state of semi-abandonment. Too bad, in my opinion at present it is a missed opportunity.
This was a big road, a pleasure to be here, happiness for both big and small. The models were generally very separate (with the exception of a rock that looked like a meteorite). Very well made for the youngest too, here it must be a super goal and go with kindergartens on a trip. A comprehensive concept..
Úžasná expozícia s obrovským priestorom pre prepracované modely. Najlepšie sú kabíny vodičov, kde môžete všetko stlačiť, otočiť, vyskúšať - spolu s projekciou cesty. Služby super, priestor super, zábava na jednotku. Pre deti aj pre dospelých.
An okay facility with some nice environments. I think there were very few trains running at the facility, and the trains running were very short, the longest train I saw had 4 cars. It was pretty bad signposted , so it took a long time before I found my way here , probably kept looking for at least 45 minutes. Entrance was inside some kind of mall and the facility itself was below ground level
