We came here as one of the attractions offered on the GoCity Pass. What a fabulous, interactive & informative museum as well as being a great place to watch the Astrological Clock. Really enjoyed our time here.
Amazing!!! Totally worth it!!! My 12 years old daughter, my husband and I really enjoyed it. Such a creative and interactive museum, it absolutely exceeded our expectations. Would love to come back…
We visited here on the strength of all the great reviews. People are different as I learn every single day. Some people like eating olives. We were pretty much instantly bored from the first interaction with our chipped ticket. It was a video giving us info or something about Mozart or something. Yawn. Reviews say it's a great place for minors. I wouldn't have liked it as a kid either. And now I'm major, I still don't. Sorry but it just fell B flat for us. The only thing we liked and appreciated was the unfinished sequence with the projected images playing the symphony. That was marvellous and we spent more time there than at any other point in the building. It's the reason I have given it a score of 2. Without this, it would have been a 1. We won't be Bach.
I had the most amazing experience! This little yet so cleverly done and so enjoyable museum left me speechless.A great and fun way of learning the facts about Mozart and his family. My personal highlight as Mozart fan was the eery and powerful room with requiem !! My mascara was running to say the least! Also must mentioned very friendly and engaging staff! 10 out of 10👌
A sophisticated yet entertaining museum for the whole family, well worth a visit. And that view of the Old Town Astronomical Clock!
Interactive in many sections while others are educational. Highly recommend it for both older kids and adults with interest in music and the life of Mozart.
An inspiring experience. My family enjoyed it. I appreciate the effort to bring the past, historical figures and music closer to younger people, including children. As a bonus, an unobstructed view of the Old Town Astronomical Clock from the window above the heads of tourists. It was not crowded. The entrance fee was reasonable.
Wow! This is a wonderful and simple museum. It is created so well to engage the youth, but still so informative for adults. The interactive parts were impressive, and I appreciated the concise reading that was required. I learned a lot about Mozart and had fun!
Great experience at the Mozart Museum! Vincent was a fantastic guide, friendly and knowledgeable. The museum has many interesting rooms, including a fun VR experience, and the building offers a lovely view of the Astronomical Clock. Highly recommended!
Awesome experience which exceeded my expectations. Educational, interactive, and very entertaining. I was afraid it would be too dense for my four-year-old son, but fast-forward two hours and we were still there, unable to drag him out
You are already there in Old Town Square watching the wonderful clock strike the hour. Afterwards, turn around and walk into the Interactive Mozart Museum. From your first steps up the stairs watching Orchestra parts on the steps to the Billard game of Mozart travels in Italy, Germany and Europe the museum is a delight. Five of his operas are presented in a kid-friendly and engaging way - The Marriage of Figaro with puppet figures on a little stage; The Magic Flute as Comic Strips, Don Giovanni as crime noir drawings, another one I don’t know as a Super Mario game. You’ll step into the Sistine Chapel and hear the music the Vatican wanted to keep all to itself - until Mozart heard it and went home to write it out exactly - note for note, for each part. He took it to England and published it there (of course giving the composer credit) After a few years, the Vatican relented and released it too. You will conduct an orchestra playing Don Giovani wearing a virtual reality headset - you won’t even have to break a sweat to beat my 2.7 out of five score! You will learn from the staff that Salière wasn’t the jealous fiend portrayed in plays and movies (based on a claim the old man suffering from dementia made about poisoning Mozart). He actually tutored young gifted musicians for free, including Beethoven, Liszt and Schubert. He and Mozart were actually friends. There are also short videos with actors portraying friends and family and a wonderful video of his last, unfinished work, Requiem Oh, and from the second story windows you have a perfectly unobstructed view of that clock for the next hour chiming show.
The interactive experience was very helpful and cool to understand Mozart's life story and his career life. The screens that showed his operas in a playful way. The VR headset was the best!
Very amusing. Educational and innovative
Very interesting and original museum, but I don't think that it will be interesting for small children. Very impressive the room with requiem presentation.
I enjoyed reading the detailed information about Mozart's historic era and tours. The conducting session could be improved make it more realistic, add ipera selection. All in all very good.
A fun and original museum, i like the part that you can interact with things, i really recommend going here! In my opinion the conductor experience is the best
Nice museum. Interective activities, the kids enjoyed it. You should try it. It was nice and worth the money. All of us enjoyed it a lot!
We had an amazing time. The interactive displays are absolutely great for families. My kids who are five and two were fully immersed in the experience. It taught us about Mozart, about music, and was extremely engaging and fun. We were there for about 1 and 1/2 hours and even I learned a lot about Mozart that I didn't know. I would definitely recommend visiting this museum.
Thanks to Go City - Prague, we found the Mozart Interactive Museum in a beautiful part of town. It truly was an interactive experience, as "Wolfgang" acquaints visitors with pivotal points and people in his life, and invites us to try out various experiences for ourselves. Despite how old and narrow the building seems, an elevator through the middle makes each of the 4 levels accessible to wheels. Activities and information are available is multiple languages, with very helpful and approachable employees on each level. Great way to spend an hour or so indoors!
Enjoyed my visit. Price is pretty steep. Went when there wasn't a big crowd so was able to enjoy exhibits and interactive components without much difficulty or waiting. Staff were friendly and helpful. The interactive components were nice. Loved playing the harpsichord, though wasn't very good at it. The VR conducting was cool, but need to consider people who were glasses. Could barely see the orchestra. Overall, it's a decent place to visit. Just go when there isn't a huge crowd and keep an open mind.
Enjoyed the interactive museum, it was informative & fun. Good to try the VR sets & conduct music. Small shop with limited collection. Worth visiting whilst in Prague.
Really unusual and innovative. I learned a lot. The Requiem room is absolutely spectacular. This museum is suitable for both children and adults. Not crowded and the immediate local is beautiful especially on market day. The staff were extremely helpful. I really unusual and pleasing exhibit.
Overpriced tourist trap. Do not fall for it. Stuff is unpleasant, headsets nor instruments are desinfected, videos are not for children and no warning about it. Ticket with qr code didnt work and you have to take a picture of it and than try to scan it. Its a scam. Just go to Museum of music around the corner.
A very impressive experience! I had no expectations, and I was surprised. The museum is very interactive (as it should be, given the title), and we discovered a lot of information about classical music. We were delighted by the sounds and the way this museum was made.Highly recommended!
This museum is so much fun, while learning something new about Mozart's life. Must visit when in Prague!!! My favourite part is the Requiem!
Well worth the visit if you are into classic music or just interested in Mozart. The interactive part was really good with the VR experience was really good. The talking pictures on the wall are quite clever too.
Not too long (about an hour), very interactive, kids will enjoy it, we (adults) did. We got to listen to some interesting facts, play instruments, “conduct” the orchestra.
Very nice especially to go with kids, educational but also a lot of fun. 21st century museum filled with a lot of interactivity and games.
The staff here is friendly and kind, ready to share additional information and discuss it! The level is interaction is nice here - you can try some instruments, see maps, listen to some stories! Recommend to visit it!
A very welcome addition to Prague museum offerings. Interactive and good for the whole family. Educational for those who are interested in the details of his life and the period; but also very entertaining for younger ones who are not so taken by those details. Highly recommended
I really loved visiting the Mozart Interactive Museum! Opened just this December, it offers a fascinating journey through Mozart's life, blending history with interactive exhibits, including classical instruments and VR! The museum is housed in a beautifully restored historic building right across from St. Mikuláš Church—a place where Mozart himself performed in the late 1700s - the entire concept ties together really nicely. It's a great escape from the busy streets of Mala Strana (especially during peak season). You can start your day here, then perhaps catch a classical music performance nearby or stroll across the iconic Charles Bridge into Old Town. Highly recommended for all ages!
What an amazing experience! A mix of history and interactive technology was exceptional. The whole family enjoyed it!
Very entertaining and very nice personal. We had wonderful time learning and playing, even conducting an orchestra. Great experience.
The visit in the museum is fantastic, you can explore the life of Mozart in interactive ways which is amazing. We highly recommend it.
Loved it! So much fun, even for young adults :) We especially enjoyed VR and all the hands-on exhibits. The staff were really friendly and educated on all things Mozart.
Fun and culturally valid experience, suitable for all ages, it offers the possibility to try your hand at conducting an orchestra or playing Mozart melodies on the harpsichord. It also provides many interesting details about the life and works of the genius from Salzburg. Definitely worth trying!
Original, nice museum, good if you have a pass otherwise a bit expensive
Bolo to úžasné, vtipné, interaktívne, mohla som dirigovať orchester... Veľa som sa dozvedela o Mozartovo živote a tvorbe, odporúčam
The life story of Mozart and the history of the creation of his pieces are vividly presented, and the highlight of the museum is conducting with VR goggles. Only when many people visit the museum at the same time is it difficult for everyone to play the audio simultaneously, so it gets backed up. The museum is a nice place to bring people closer to Mozart without them getting bored.
Bolo to pekné, užili sme si výstavu, veľmy milí personál a mohli sme si pozrieť aj pražský orloj z okna. Je to nádherná ekxpozícia ktorú by si mal každý pozrieť aj kôli výhľadu
The museum was very interactive and, especially for families and young people, a great way to get to know the world of Mozart and his works better.
Very good museum, very interesting, very engaging, you learn a lot about Mozart's life in a fun and truly not boring way. It's a shame that the animations are not yet in French; however, the signs are. A true journey into the life of Mozart. As a bonus, the museum is located in front of the astronomical clock; you can see it from above, which is really pleasant.
Great experience, perfect for families, very interesting for children as well.
Great experience at the interactive Mozart Museum! Immersive visit (a fun little VR game), nice atmosphere, and a top-notch team (our guide Vincent was very friendly). We had a wonderful time with friends; I highly recommend it, especially suitable for families and children 🎶✨
Museum suitable for everyone: it is not only fun and instructive for children but also for adults. The rooms follow the chronological order of Mozart's life, from his cradle to his death. The use of technology greatly improves the experience: I was particularly fascinated by the Requiem room and the videos that tell some of the operas he composed.
Nádherné, interaktívne, zaujímavé. Môžeme len a len odporučiť prehliadku tohto múzea. Veľmi sme si to užili a virtuálna realita bola SUPER.
Very interesting! We were lucky enough to visit it early in the morning with few visitors and then enjoy the various rooms with audio guides with our language in peace. Done very well, it allows you to understand many things about Mozart and his time and to listen to many of his works. It also allows you to simulate the direction of orchestra. Definitely not to be missed
Great job. Great museum! A visit is definitely worthwhile, not only as an alternative in rainy conditions. We both loved the interactive experience.
