Lots of history imparted by our guide on this tour. She was so knowledgable about the churches we saw and what a voice..she sang for us in a church with no music and it was perfection. There is a lot of walking but mainly downhill and is worth it.
Had the pleasure of getting Alex as our tour guide and he made the 4hr tour both engaging and informative. His deep knowledge and passion of Czech history came through from start to finish and I would highly recommend you make time for this tour if in Prague.
Excellent tour for history buffs, especially those interested in the complicated mix of religion and politics in Czechia. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, personable and helpful. There is quite a lot of walking and standing, so be prepared!
Lots of walking. Wear comfortable shoes. We were to meet our guide at a Saints statue but statue wasn’t marked. Our guide Adam was great. Adam was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Barbara was an amazing guide. She showed us the hidden spots of Prague and shared fun historical facts and local legends in a very clear way. We loved the tour and highly recommend her to anyone visiting the city
Barbara was so educated and a wonderful guide! Recommend this to all that want to learn about real history.
Barbra is the gold standard of tour guides. Her expertise on Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral was outstanding, but it was her personal stories of life under Communism in Prague that truly took our breath away. She is knowledgeable, warm, and deeply passionate about her city. An absolute gem — do not miss the chance to tour with her!
Adam was excellent. He knew his history and was made the day an enjoyable experience. While Prague has some significant elevation changes, we seemed to be walking downhill all day. History, food, beer made for an informative day.
We very much enjoyed our walk with Barbara, learning the importance and history of many of Prague’s “hidden gems!” Highly recommended
This was just a wonderful day visiting sites that were all centrally located and yet somehow a little off the beaten path. Unlike the big sites that are overwhelmed with tourists by late morning, I kept wondering why more tourists weren't around us all day long. I would argue that some of the things that we saw on this tour were as beautiful as anything we saw on the tours of the more well-known sites, but we could take the time to explore and enjoy them with our guide because they weren't anywhere near as busy. The highlights for me were Saint Nicholas church and the unbelievably beautiful libraries at the monastery - but everything we saw that day was special. This tour should not be a replacement of a visit to all of the iconic sites in Prague, but if you have a week to spend in the city like we did, this tour is well worth your time later in the week. In particular, our guide was accommodating, thoughtful, and well informed and made the experience all the better.
Communication on where and when to start the tour was excellent with was able to meet our guide with ease. The tour itself was informative, flexible and our guide ensured we stayed on track for timing while meeting our tempo. We never felt rushed and our guide was a wealth of information as we peppered him with a ton of questions. He is professional, knowledgeable and so very personable, putting us at ease immediately. We knew that we were in good hands and had no worries. His recommendations were top notched and had a ton of options for lunch. Overall, an excellent tour and would definitely recommend!
Fantastic trip. Lots of walking. Learned lots of history. Food was ok. Tour guide very knowledgeable and very nice. The river cruise at the end was very relaxing. Would recommend.
Barbara was a great ambassador for her city. Sharing stories about growing up under Soviet occupation to how the city has changed today. She took us all over the city including some spots like the Library and Loretta that you might - and shoudlnt miss! Highly recommended.
Barbora was brilliant. Wonderful knowledge and very informative about the secret treasures of Praha and its history.
I ended up being the only one on the tour! It was amazing my guide Ondrej (Andrew) was fantastic, we had a great time. He was very knowledgable and easy to talk to, I saw things that I never would have found on my own, I highly recommend this tour!
This was an excellent opportunity to see some of the most hidden aspects of Prague. Our guide was amazing. The pace was perfect. Would highly
We had been to Prague Castle and the monastery but had not toured the tower, library or Loreto. Our guide Barbora was very knowledgeable and had lived through the Soviet occupation. She flexed well when the funicular was broken. The views from the tower were great. The libraries and Loreto are truly hidden gems in the beautiful city of Prague.
Seeing the city from the Eiffel Tower. Our guide, Barbara, was very knowledgeable and personable. Even in the rain this tour was very easy going.
Barbara was a wonderful source for us on both special places in Prague and more common ones.We recommend this tour to others.
Starting with the easy booking and excellent communication after booking - Barbara was wonderful! Knowledgeable and very pleasant. She respected and included my interests, accommodated my pace and answered my all questions. I so enjoyed hearing the history and seeing the beautiful sites with Barbara’s gentle and insightful stories and commentary. A perfect day - The day flew by ! It was extremely nice to have everything included - lunch, entrance, audio-devices, a beer at the Abby, even the fee for the WC! A rare find for tours - it was a worry-free, perfect day in Prague! Thank you Barbara! I hope to see you again! I had a lovely day!
This is a wonderful tour that took us through a number of places easy to overlook. Barbara was delightful and provided so much information that we had not already heard on other tours. This was a tour that should not be overlooked.
My husband and I had the pleasure of going on this tour with Joseph as our guide. We loved the tour, the highlights being the Strahovska library, the treasury and the panoramic views from the Petrin lookout tower. But the real highlight was spending time with Joseph who is a personable and knowledgeable Czech. He shared is views on a wide variety of topics from Politics to the brain drain. He also took us to a wonderful local restaurant to lunch and the amazing Strahovska monastery for coffee and the best beer I've ever tasted. And gave us completely unrelated tips on where to go, shop and what to do on future trips. The only reason I've not given the tour 5 stars is because we would have preferred for Joseph to accompany us into the Loretta rather than providing a very informative audio guide. Will definitely contact your company next time we are in Prague (for a hiking trip to the countryside).
We really enjoyed this "Hidden Gems" walking tour of Prague with Joseph. He was flexible (met us off the tram), very personable and knowledgeable about Prague. Loved the Strahovska monastery - the library was a revelation with ancient books and artifacts, the brewery was absolutely awesome - neither of us normally drink beer but it was completely delicious. Loved the Loretta and especially the treasury too. But best of all was spending time with Joseph understanding his views on Czech life, politics etc. He guided us to make good lunch choices too. The only reason I didn't give this tour 5 stars is that we would have preferred for Joseph to accompany us inside the Loretta as opposed to providing the audio guide. Ended the tour with a climb up to a wonderful panoramic view across Prague - very memorable day.
This tour was absolutely perfect! Joseph was an awesome tour guide - we enjoyed the chats as well as his knowledge of the Czech Republic and Prague. Seeing the Hidden Gems of Prague was a highlight of our vacation!
The whole tour was amazing. Strahov Monastery and Loreta Praha are so beautiful and the views from Petrin Tower are the best. Joseph was a wonderful guide with the very best stories. It was like spending the day with an old friend.
Interesting tour through the old town, including more or less hidden gems of Prague. The best part of the tour was guide Joseph, who was very knowledgeable, open minded, friendly and well informed as well about the past as also the present. The tour can also be personalised, as we did it with the lunch, when Joseph brought us to a very good place against a little contribution from our side. The sightseeing highlight is certainly the Strahov library. As there are also blockbusters like St. Veit's cathedral on the tour it also fits to people who have just one day to visit the city.
Perfect organised , Erika our guide is well informed , organised, and very nice person! 10 for her!!
The title for this tour was everything-- Hanna the tour guide took us to see all the truly hidden gems of Prague, a number of items outside of the view of most tourists, but really neat areas that I'm so glad we had the chance to see while we were there. Our guide was so knowledgeable, had a wealth of information-- made the trip amazing!
First off, if you are not the big bus tour type, preferring small, intimate groups, and also don't like to visit the usual tourist attractions -especially at their most crowded times, Uniline Tours is for you. My wife and I did the All-inclusive Hidden Gems Tour Sunday, June 30, our fist full day in Prague. It was the perfect start to our stay and get oriented to this beautiful city! Erika, our guide, was fun to be with, and was well-versed in the history -although she admitted first off she wasn't great with all the dates! She had those written down though. Prague definitely has a complex history, as does the CR. We saw several key places -Strohavo (spelling) Monastery, the Loretto, The Church of the Infant Jesus, the venicular, and more. We also walked -alot, doing about 7 miles total throughout the day. It was awesome, and luckily we started at the high point of the city and went downhill from there! There was beer starting at 10 AM at the monastery -excellent Czech beer, the first of three during the day. I can't say enough good things about this tour. Oh, and Erika -Uniline in general really (we did another tour with them), thinks of everything. Erika had water for us, and also, all tickets, entry fees, beers, lunch, even an odd 15kc for use of a toilet, were taken care of. It was fun, just plain fun and just so informative.
This is a great tour company and I’d highly recommend them. They picked us up from hotel and had drinks and snacks ready for us. The tour itself was excellent and Steven the guide is very knowledgeable. We could move at our pace and the tour was very flexible. For luck I’d recommend trying the roast duck which is a local speciality. Even after the tour Steven sent us a full list of recommendations in Prague which were great. Martin
A wonderful gothic cathedral, perfect line at the box office, they give you the ticket with the map , great cumulative price advice to add the bell tower view of the wonderful city
Superb, richly decorated and preserved library. In the autumn, the colours of the park surrounding the monastery returned an exceptional pomp, the site is absolutely worth a visit!
After we were already so excited about the tour through Saxon Switzerland, we booked this "Hidden Gems" tour. It felt like a relaxing walk with friends. Joseph presented the information great and also took great care that part of our group was not so good on foot. In short: we can highly recommend UNILINE. Thanks for this great day!
