We had a great tour with Nikki. She was full of great knowledge, easy to ask questions, and paced the tour for us. I would recommend her to people looking for a tour to fit your needs and interests.

Itinerary
Visit a beautifully renovated Maisel synagogue with a unique exposition.
Explore the most beautiful and unusual synagogue in Prague’s Jewish Town - the Spanish Synagogue.
In the Pinkas Synagogue, we'll commemorate all the Czech Jews murdered by the Nazis. Their names are written on the synagogue walls. On the first floor, we'll talk about one of the greatest teachers in history, who held a secret art class in the Terezin concentration camp.
We'll stop for a refreshing break at a modern café inside the Jewish Museum Information Centre.
We'll visit the place the famous Italian writer Umberto Eco wrote about in his novel “Prague Cemetery”. See the tombstones of the most famous Jewish people from Prague, like Rabbi Löw and Mordechai Maisel.
The Old-New Synagogue is the oldest still active synagogue in the world. You'll be wowed by its magnificent gothic architecture from the 1270s. And ehm, have we mentioned how the mystic Golem is connected to it?

We had an amazing time with Nikola! She was knowledgeable, she was punctual, she was flexible, and she was just all around wonderful to be around! She shared so much information, but at a pace that was easy to digest. And, I suspect that we would never have learned half of it had we tried to learn about the Jewish Quarter on our own. She picked us up at our AirBnB, she walked us over to the Jewish Quarter, and she made sure we got a break for a refreshment in the middle! The pace was perfect and although we were walking everywhere, we were not tired by the end of the tour. She made the tour very relatable to us as Americans, but she also brought in her own personal stories about how the treatment of the Jewish population in Czech Republic impacted her own family's history. We couldn't have been happier with the tour :)
We had an excellent tour with Nikola. We saw everything we wanted, and at a comfortable pace without being rushed. She was very receptive to questions and she pointed out things we just wouldn’t have noticed.
George (Jirka) was so wonderful! He was so personable that I felt like it was a friend showing me around rather than someone I met for the time. He took the time to get to know us so he could personalize the information. His knowledge was outstanding, and the pace of the trip was perfect. I really appreciated the cafe break in the middle so we could cool down on a very hot day. He also sent us a photo he took with recommendations for the rest of our stay in the city.
We had an amazing tour with of the Jewish Quarter with Katy. She did an amazing job of combining both the history and culture of Prague and the Jews throughout history. As a Catholic I learned a lot about the customs, symbols, stories and rituals throughout history that are centered in Prague. Katy made me feel very prepared for some of the harder conversations, especially with children in our tour group and she did a great job of answering all of their questions and keeping them engaged. We toured 4 synagogues (I suggest doing any day but Saturday to be able to tour the interiors) and we learned about the history, folklore and religion associated with each one. She really took the time to make sure that we saw everything that was of interest to us and I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing the synagogues with some historical and cultural context.
We were extremely impressed with the knowledge and experience of our guide. She was passionate, engaged, thoughtful and thorough. She studied in the US and her command of English was flawless. She captured the Jewish experience from the 14th century to now. She was not rushed and allowed us the opportunity to read the panels in the exhibits and answered our questions fully. She has a good sense of humor and offered information that we felt was helpful. A real pro - she made sure that we were able to get the best out of the tour.
Nikki was an excellent guide through the Jewish Quarter of Prague. Knowledgeable, personable and with a great pace, she took us through the history of the Jews of Prague with sensitivity and kindness. The order in which we toured the sights helped us gain a more complete picture of their history. She was very patient answering our many questions! Three hours flew by in a blink. Would highly recommend her to anyone!
Nikola and Jakub are amazing tour guides! They shared so much detail about the history of Prague and treated what can be a heavy subject with respect and integrity. We are so glad to have met them.
Nikola was fantastic. She met us at a location that was convenient for us based on our morning activities. She also was helpful in finding us a quick bite to eat as we were walking as we hadn’t eaten. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the synagogues, providing tremendous history and context to overall Czech history. She was very efficient to optimize which location to visit based on wait times, maximizing our enjoyment. Overall, she was Very friendly and attentive and even provided a couple of other recommendations. I really recommend Nikola and the tour!
There is a lot of history, and a lot survived WWII. The guide was knowledgeable. Take the time to tour the Jewish Quarter while in Prague. You can probably do it on your ow, but it is nice to have a guide to point things out.
Katy was a spectacular tour guide, giving us an incredibly informative, extremely sensitive and truly beautiful tour of the Jewish quarter of Prague - covering the remaining synagogues, streets and history with a deep appreciation for the culture. Highly recommended.
Katy was an exceptional guide for our tour of the Jewish area in Prague. Her knowledge of the history, culture, and stories of the community was truly impressive, and she brought everything to life in such an engaging and thoughtful way. She answered every question with insight and care, and her passion for sharing this history made the experience unforgettable. We left feeling inspired, informed, and grateful for such a meaningful day.
Our recent tour of the Prague Jewish Quarter was an absolutely wonderful and moving experience that I cannot recommend highly enough. Misa was an excellent guide with a vast knowledge of Prague history. Our lunch at the end was great and she was also very helpful with recommendations for other activities, restaurants and even shopping for traditional souvenirs.
This was a special day. Our tour guide Nikola was amazing. Because of the nature of the tour, there were somber topics. She shared and explained everything in a sensitive manner that highlighted the history and experiences of the Jewish community in Prague. We were all very moved and gained such an appreciation for the history of the area. I highly recommend this tour.
We toured with Katy today and we did the Stories of Prague’s Jewish Quarter. It was a fantastic tour. Katy was a wealth of knowledge. She showed us the beautiful synagogues of Prague and the long history that they hold. I highly recommend Katy and her tours. We learned so much. Thank you Katy! Matt, Lisa & Ryan
Katy is so knowledgeable, went at our pace and shared so many interesting things about this part of Prague’s history. We mustn’t forget.
Nikola was very knowledgable and interesting. She hit all the major areas and made suggestions about other areas to explore. I recommend this tour if you want an overview of Jewish Prague
The tour of the Jewish quarter was fabulous. Our tour guide, Pavla, who is extremely knowledgeable and very sensitive to delicate issues.
We loved our tour of the Jewish Quarter in Prague with Katy! She really knew her history and it made for a very interesting morning. In general, we do 4 or 5 different tours over the course of a trip and Katy was right at the top of the list of amazing tour guides. There wasn't a question we could throw at her that she didn't know the answer to and that is not always the case. The history of the Jewish people living in Prague was very interesting! I'd highly recommend this tour! Thanks again!
Nicola was incredible. We learned so much. It was so interesting and informative. She was so personable. My family and i really enjoyed everything about it
When you visit Prague, this tour is a must do! Our guide Katy was absolutely amazing, incredibly knowledgeable, and exceptionally personable. As a Prague local, she offers a unique, first-hand experience. This tour was so informative, we left it feeling pleasantly overwhelmed by knowledge. The private tour offered customization to our preferences and the opportunity to ask questions and have conversations about what we are seeing/learning. Do not hesitate to book this tour - it is well worth the time and money!
This was an excellent tour. Our guide was very personable and patient with our slow moving around. She was also very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the Jewish Quarter of Prague. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
We had a truly memorable, informative, interesting, and meaningful tour of Prague’s Jewish Quarter with our guide Tereza Moravcová. She was smart, friendly, knowledgeable, patient and even fun (despite the heaviness of the topic). She engaged our 20&21 year old children with stories that they could relate to and find interesting. She made the stories even more poignant by relating them to the state of our world today and gave the history deep relevance. She took us to spots we never would have found on our own and shared history we would have otherwise missed. We stopped for a lovely cup of coffee at a cozy and welcoming cafe along the way. After our tour, Tereza reached out sharing articles, books, videos and photos so that we could continue to learn about the Pragues rich Jewish history. And, she even took some of our favorite photos of the day and sent them along afterward. We really can’t recommend her enough - she is an execellent guide with a wealth of knowledge and wonderful energy. You will not be disappointed!
Had an amazing and informative tour with Tereza! She is extremely knowledgeable, very professional and patient and really tailored the tour to meet my expectations. I learned a lot and really covered everything I wanted to see. Tereza is a gem, I definitely recommend touring with her!
This tour was amazing. Tereza & Misa were terrific. Stopped in several places and were treated to tons of interesting history/facts. Our guides took us back in time with detailed background. It was obvious they were knowledgeable and prepared to share the information as well as answer all of our questions. This tour was informational, educational and powerful. I highly recommend it for everyone, regardless of their faith.
Tereza was a wonderful guide. My wife and I went with Tereza to visit sites and Synagogues in the Jewish Quarter. Tereza never made us feel rushed and she shared much valuable information throughout our tour. She spent lots of time answering our questions. And at the end we had an enjoyable lunch together. Before we left she asked if there was anything else we wanted to know more about. She took notes and later in the day she sent us the information we asked for with some additional links. I highly recommend Tereza and her group!
Our tour guide Nikola was amazing, she was very informative, friendly and down to earth. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to anyone.
Nikola gave us a very caring and informative tour of the Jewish Quarter of Prague. She had a wealth of knowledge as well as extra resources she shared with my sister and me.
Having just visited Terezin, we especially enjoyed the exhibit of art made by children interned there. The Jewish cemetery was extraordinary. We are so glad we added lunch on to our tour - it was wonderful!
My family and I had just two full days to see all that Prague has to offer. We didn't think it could be done but with the help of Michaela - aka Misa - and Nikola, we feel we had full immersion in to the culture. The tour of the Jewish Quarter was so insightful, with Nikola's help we felt like we stumbled upon the head of Franz Kafka (never would have found that on our own) and our day ended with a proper toast - Na zdraví - in a lovely park! Both Misa and Nikola are great representatives of their city and they epitomize what hospitality is all about. I highly recommend their service and would work with Prague City Adventures again, in a heartbeat!!
We (my wife and I) did the Prague City Adventures walking tour of the Jewish Quarter with Pavla and had a wonderful experience. Pavla was exceptionally knowledgeable of the Jewish history and showed us the best locations to visit. Additionally, she followed up with an information email providing links to additional resources based upon topics we experienced on the tour. We also purchased the lunch package which initially I thought was a bit pricey, but was well worth it considering the cost covered the lunch and also provided a relaxed forum where Pavla could share some additional recommendations for further sight seeing on our own.
This was on of those tours and experiences that will stay with me for a long time. Our guide Tereza took us on a journey through time with her excellent storytelling. History tours are usually very dry with a lot of facts and dates, this tour was not one of those. The history was told through anecdotes, stories, examples, and conversations. 3 hours went by very quickly. It was an emotional and beautiful experience. If you are interested in the Jewish community in Prague and Czech Republic through time, I would highlight recommend taking this tour. Thank you Tereza.
What an amazing tour! Prague's Jewish Town is a must-see and I'm really grateful I got to visit it during my stay in the city. Our guide Pavla was wonderful and she made the tour really special. She had such a deep knowledge and passion for the history and culture of the Jewish community. I didn't know it was so prominent in Prague. Pavla's narration was truly captivating and she was able to keep our attention for the whole 3 hours. She shared intriguing stories about internationally famous people with Jewish background, some of whom were well known to our group. Her stories were touching and provided a perfect backdrop to the places we visited. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in this part of the city for it unbelievable history and breathtaking architecture! Thank you so much, Pavla, this was one of my favorite things to do in Prague. (And the break for coffee was really appreciated!)
I can't recommend this tour enough. It was just brilliant! Tereza (our guide) was very knowledgeable, friendly, experienced, and took us on an amazing tour around Prague's Jewish Quarter. We have seen many historical and authentic local places and learnt about the heritage of the city and Josefov district itself. Excellent experience that ended with a visit at the world-class synagogue. I highly recommend this tour to my friends and family!
Tereza Moravcova was a star guide on our tour of Prague’s Jewish Quarter. We were all in all 5 people, including Tereza, and she took her time in explaining the very painful history of that area of Prague, throughout its tumultuous history. Tereza showed deep knowledge as well as empathy throughout the tour, answering all of our questions with authority and detail. My daughter and I requested lunch after the tour as my daughter will be spending her fall term in that beautiful city as an exchange student and we thought that that would be a good way to discover fine places to eat. Tereza did not disappoint, she chose lovely little gems which served healthy fresh produce in marvelous settings, adding to my daughter’s excitement about moving to Prague.
A walk with Katerina through the historical realities of the Jewish town is really worth it. She introduced us to several synagogues and their interiors, as well as to many objects of everyday life, the significance of which I had not known anything about until now. Even though I had already visited some objects before on my own, it was only now with such an informed guide that I really got the right experience. Big thanks.
This was such a fascinating experience, that left me wanting to know more and to read more on the subject. Nikola was a master at story telling and engaged us all even though we were a very diverse group from different countries and spanning old and young alike. The stories come within an emotional context which Nikola told with empathy and undestanding. Thanks to Prague City Adventures!!
We absolutely loved our tour around the Jewish Town in Prague with Prague City Adventures. Time literally stopped for us during the tour and we traveled back to the Medieval times. In the Synagogues, we heard the stories of extraordinary people, learned about their traditions and thanks to the fantastic Museum exhibition we even looked into their houses. Our guide walked us through the Jewish Cemetery full of symbols and messages. We were saddened by the walls of the Pinkas Synagogue commemorating all the people murdered during the Holocaust. And the end, we were stunned by the gorgeous interior of the Spanish Synagogue, full of silence and peace. Thank you so much to our guide Katerina, who was both knowledgeable and fun as appropriate and helped us learn about past so that we could understand the present. Thank you. Highly recommended!
This was an amazing experience in the Jewish Quarter with Nikola and Prague City Adventures. The sites we visited on the tour were absolutely incredible, and Nikola really brought the history and culture to life with telling stories and providing valuable context. It was a moving and emotional experience, and truly memorable.
Fantastic tour with Katya, a great guide! She knows an incredible amount and shares it in a very pleasant way. Highly recommended
P.S. Golema jsme nepotkali , tak snad příště
