Private Walking Tour: From Charles Bridge To Prague Castle

If I could give Hanna six stars, I would. Although we booked a tour of Charles Bridge, the Lesser Town, and Prague Castle, Hanna noticed we were staying in the heart of Old Town and offered to begin there instead. She effectively gave us a two-for-one tour, seamlessly weaving together Old Town, the Lesser Town, and the Castle into one coherent story of Prague’s history. What made the experience exceptional wasn’t just her knowledge—it was her enthusiasm and flexibility. She never rushed us, welcomed every question, and happily adapted the tour to whatever interested us most. The scheduled three-hour tour became nearly four hours, yet her energy and passion never faded. We later learned she had already led another full walking tour that morning, which made her generosity and enthusiasm even more impressive. Hanna studies linguistics at university, but she has the depth of knowledge and storytelling ability of a professional historian. Rather than simply pointing out landmarks, she explained how Prague evolved—from the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia, through Charles IV and the Holy Roman Empire, to the Habsburgs, the Thirty Years’ War, and modern Czech history. By the end, we didn’t just feel like we’d seen Prague—we felt like we understood it. This was one of the best walking tours we’ve ever taken, anywhere in the world. We couldn’t recommend Hanna more highly.

Excellent your. Highly recommend Hanna. We had an excellent three-hour tour with Hannah! She was incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, and engaging throughout the entire experience. We covered a lot of ground, even on a very hot day, and she thoughtfully made breaks along the way so everyone stayed comfortable. Hannah had a wealth of information to share and answered every question we threw at her—including some pretty unusual ones! She was patient, insightful, and made the history and culture come alive. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. Highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for an informative, enjoyable, and well-paced experience.

Excellent tour with Jana. We walked from Old Town to Prague Castle. Jana told us interesting stories about the city and history, as well as her personal stories and observations. She tailored the itinerary based on our other plans. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing, personalized experience with Tomas on the tour. We saw so much of Lesser Town and the castle. He checked in with us frequently to make sure all of our questions were answered and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Definitely worth it to do a private tour.

Jk made it a really good experience for us. Since we have kids usually tours can be a little bit difficult, all depends on how good the guide is working with kids. Jk did a great job by making sure that we kept a swift enough pace, hit enough cool things, and as well as were able to stop and do random distractions to keep them entertained.

Our tour guide Jana was just wonderful! So knowledgeable and interesting. We had lots of great conversations and her choices for our itinerary were perfect. Most enjoyable.

Hannah did great!! She was kind and helped me and my family understand the history of Prague. When I didn’t understand something I asked a question and she helped me understand what I didn’t. I felt comfortable around Hannah, And it was so fun!!!

The tour was very good fun, and Jan had lots of history and knowledge to impart. We saw and learnt things that we would have missed on our own, and it was nice to have a private tour.

Dan was a very nice tour guide. He knew a lot about Czech and European history and was very well-spoken. We had a private tour with him and he was very accommodating and modified the tour so that I could ride the tram going up to the Castle instead of walking up as I had a hard time going uphill due to my asthma. I could have used a little bit more information on the buildings and whatever it was I was looking at but all in all, I would recommend him.

We had an excellent tour with Dan P, as he was very knowledgeable about Czech and European history. He brought us to very well-known sites and gave us information about them. Most of all, he very kindly modified the tour because I was having an asthma attack going up the hill towards the castle. We took the tram instead. He took his time with us, was very kind and gracious.

Dan Petrasev was a good tour guide. He was patient and very. friendly. I learned a lot about Prague’s history thru his stories.

Hanna our tour guide was very good and a clear communicator giving excellent information about Pragues history. Hanna was punctual and had good sense of humour a very good example of a tour guide in our opinion.

Tomas was an amazing guide. We enjoyed his impressive knowledge of this city. We highly recommend this tour (depending on the time of the year, get some thick warm clothes).

For our first day in Prague, we’ve chosen an 4h private tour in Segway and e-scooter with private taxi pick-up. We definitely loved it! Hanna has been our (French) guide and we’ve discovered the most important spots of the city but also other places less known by the tourists. The explanations were sometimes funny, sometimes more serious but always interesting. Hanna and her colleague were able to answer our extra questions and give us some pieces of advice for. We had an amazing tour! We were with the three of as and none of us knew how to use a Segway. Our guide was Alex, he was very nice. We had our tour at the end of the day and we weren't good at all, but Alex was very helpful and kept patient while we kept trying and trying. In the beginning it was a bit scary to use the Segway, and we had to learn how to use it, but in the end we weren't scared and really 'Segwayed', it was so much fun! Although we couldn't Segway in the center of Prague, we had a great ride and view. We saw a beautiful part of Prague that we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. Outside the center was probably better anyway, because the roads were better and we weren't troubling all the other people. The only thing was that it was a bit cold, so when you go on a Segway Tour, take a jacket with you. We really enjoyed it and surely recommend it.

<p>Excellent Jara was really lovely. we had a private tour in the Park above the city ont eh otgher side of the river and had great views.. we had great fun and a very accommodating tour guide. we had never done Segways before but they are really good fun and easy to master. would suggest Park trip rather than City which seems too busy for such things.
