Sayeh led our tour through the area at the west end of the Charles Bridge in Prague. The distance covered was not too large and the variety of restaurants and dishes was plenty. Good sampling of tasty, unfamiliar local dishes. Sayeh was personable and prepared, engaging and informative. Her English language skills are excellent and allowed our interaction to be conversational.

Itinerary
Your food tour takes place in Malá Strana, one of Prague’s most historic neighbourhoods, set right below Prague Castle on the banks of the Vltava River. Between tastings, your guide shares the stories, culture, and local food traditions that shaped this part of the city.
The tour begins in Malá Strana’s main square, the historic heart of the neighbourhood. Take in the architecture around you while your guide introduces the area and the Czech flavours ahead.
This cobbled street runs through the centre of Malá Strana and is lined with historic buildings, shops, and cafés. Stroll it with your guide and hear about everyday life in the Lesser Town.
This landmark tower stands at the Malá Strana end of Charles Bridge and is one of the neighbourhood’s most recognisable sights. Stop for photos and learn about its place in Prague’s history.
This quiet street near the Vltava River offers lovely views in one of Malá Strana’s calmer corners. It’s a relaxed spot to take in the riverside atmosphere as the tour comes to a close.

Viktoria was our fantastic guide. She took us to authentic Czech restaurants and filled the walk with historical facts about Prague. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made this a great way to learn about Czech cuisine and lifestyle. 5 stars!!
I did a 3+ hour food tour of Prague with an absolutely fabulous guide. Soner was engaging, interesting, informative, and fun. He has great knowledge of not only the food, but also the history of the city, and how they are both interconnected. The food samples were generous and the variety fantastic. He really took the time to explain where certain traditions came from, how they started, how specific foods are made, and what they mean to the Czech culture. He also shared fascinating bits of history and architecture with me, something that was a huge plus. Soner is super friendly, accommodating, has a great sense of humor, and is extremely generous with his time. It was one of the best tours I did in the city (out of 6), and I have no hesitation in recommending him very highly. Thank you so much Soner for such a fun day and experience! It was worth every penny. 🙏😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sonny was a extraordinarily great guide. He explained the check food cloture very well. We had a blast.
The tour was very enjoyable and educational, which was largely due to our Guide Sonny. Sonny combined culinary experiences with cultural background and he was enthusiastic about his city.
This is our 2nd food tour with Secret Food Tours in as many weeks, and it did not disappoint. Sony did a great job of coalescing the group, giving us relevant and interesting information, and filling us nearly to overflowing with delicious Czech food! The time flew by and we are still talking about the great time we had.
Delicious, guide was fantastic!
Sayeh was great. Her English was perfect and easy to Talk to. The food and drinks she selected were very good. I loved the quaint different placed we ate at. We had good conversation at the various tables. One suggestion is to Explain how much food we would be eating because we were very full by the end!
Sunny was our guide he was amazing full of knowledge & gave us a very interesting tour with varieties of food. We all thoroughly enjoyed the 3hrs experience of historical culture & local food. We would highly recommend this tour as you get to see & taste things you’d never know to do. Brilliant guide too we met lovely people & had such fun 🙌🏼
Excellent tour. Sonny was an excellent guide!
Today, we had an outstanding experience with this food tour in Prague - with Sonny as our guide. We had a large variety of tasty Czech foods and drink. The tour moved smoothly with Sonny taking his time to share the history of the foods and of Prague/Czech Republic. He did not rush our time together and was vigilant to talk with each customer.
Sony was very pleasant and accommodating. He took us to 5 great spots on our food tour. Beware, the portions are generous! Besides his knowledge of the foods, we also benefited from his sharing history/points of interest on our route. Highly recommend!
Sonny was a fantastic guide, really knowledgeable and lovely manner. Enjoyed the experience had a great group of people on the tour.
This food tour was a hit because of Soner, a young tour guide with great enthusiasm. We stopped at three restaurants in the Mala Stana, the “Little Quarter” and Soner provided treats from two food stands. The food and drink were excellent. We returned to one of the restaurants again during our stay. Soner emailed a list of other restaurant options after the tour, and he replied quickly to a follow-up email to verify the address of the one we wanted to revisit. The tour was compact; we walked only a few hundred meters and finished near the Charles Bridge. If you are interested, the premium drink option is worth the extra cost to sample Czech after-dinner drinks
Our Secret Food Tour was hands down the highlight of our trip to Prague! We love joining food tours when we travel, and this one exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide, Sonny, was incredibly kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He didn’t just introduce us to delicious traditional Czech foods; he shared the fascinating history and stories behind each dish, the restaurants, and the local neighborhoods we explored. His passion for Prague and its culture truly brought the city to life. The tour was the perfect blend of amazing food, local history, and hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. By the end of the tour, we felt we had gained a much deeper appreciation for Prague and its people. Sonny made our visit to Prague unforgettable, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the city beyond the usual tourist attractions. Come hungry and be prepared to fall in love with Prague!
Sonny is tremendous! We had a ton of Prague food and drinks at several fantastic places with great insight and knowledge from Sonny.
Great evening with great food. Sonny was an amazing tour guide!!! Highly recommend!!!
We had an amazing time with Sonny our tour guide. He took us around town and visited great restaurants starting g with soup, sausage and cheese plate along with local wines. We then continued walking around the city and on to a delicious lunch At Lokal restaurant that included beer, schnitzel, fried cheese and many more local cuisine. All I. All it was a great experience with Sonny.
Sonny is very accommodating to everyone. He made us feel we were his family visiting his hometown. He calls folks by their first name and listens to each and everyone’s preference with drinks. He answers any question you have about what you see along the street. Highly recommends
Sony our tour guide was amazing. Super friendly and very informative. Highly recommend
We had a great time with Victoria. She was a superb guide. The places she took us all had an authentic feel and delicious food, beer and wine. Highly recommend.
Excellent host, great insight as to the history of Prague and the meaning behind each dish. Plentiful dishes and wine!
Fantastic food tour with Sonny. Had a variety of Czech food and some alcohol. Sonny was very knowledgeable about both local food and Prague history. Just a point to note. One part of our group went to the wrong St Nicolas church for meet up so were late starting
Soner was a great guide. Great stories. Knowledge of food and history outstanding.
Sonny had everything arranged so that we never had to wait anywhere to eat with our group of 8. He was funny and told us great information about the Czech culture involving food, holidays and daily life. We gained some historical perspective of the area while enjoying tasty food.
Really enjoyable experience. Our guide Soner (or Sonny) was lovely. Great to try real Czech food and learn a bit more about the city as well. The food was fairly plain, typical of the culture but was certainly tasty. Tried some local beer, wine and soft drinks.
Soner did a great job introducing us to the history of Prague and family culture through its food. The variety of restaurants was great. Soner also loves to cook and his enthusiasm and knowledge showed.
Soner was an excellent tour guide. we had the opportunity to taste different Czech cuisine. The dishes were all different and my children enjoyed most of them! I would recommend Soner as a guide as he was very knowledgeable and attentative to our family's preferences.
This was my second excursion with Secret Food Tours and they have both been so good. Soner was our guide for the Prague tour and he was delightful. We went to a variety of restaurants and taverns and he explained so much about Prague and Bohemia culture and food. He loves to cook himself and is enthusiastic about sharing culture and history of the area. I had a great experience and highly recommend.
Soner (Sonny) led us on an amazing food tour around Prague, teaching us about Czech life and traditions, history and of course the food! He was funny and delightful, always answered our questions and even ended the tour with great suggestions of where else to visit and see in Prague. Our group of 8 people agreed this was the absolute best food tour they have ever done, anywhere. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat delicious Czech food and learn about the culture at the same time.
We did the Secret Food Tour with Soner on Friday, 13th February, and from the moment we met him in the square we instantly connected. Soner is incredibly passionate about his city and shared his knowledge in such an engaging and enthusiastic way. He took his time explaining each dish we tried and also recommended great places to visit and eat. We were a group of 14, which Soner mentioned was larger than normal, but it made absolutely no difference to the experience. Everything felt relaxed, well organised, and personal. We met some wonderful people from New York, California, and Newcastle — including a couple we are still in contact with. A really thoughtful touch was that Soner brought pastries from a deli on his way to meet us, which we thought was lovely. Thank you again, Soner, for making our tour so informative, enjoyable, and memorable. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!
I’d previously done one of these tours in Edinburgh and enjoyed it, and so thought I’d try one in Prague. I think there was less to eat and drink on this one, more so because we were sharing meals as opposed to having individual portions but it was still enough. The website did indicate we’d start by sampling an open faced sandwich too but I don’t recall having this as the soups were our first stop. Sonny was our guide and he was really engaging, and easy to talk to. We had a small group of 6 and everyone integrated well. We also got to see the John Lennon wall and had a few other photo opportunities which helped create more memories.
Sony made the tour! He took us to a great variety of places to experience the cuisine of the culture. He also had recipes available to us through email. Great experience.
Great food tour. Soner took me to some lovely authentic Czech restaurants and a deli. Really nice relaxing few hours. Soner went into depth about Czech history and the various dishes. Very knowledgeable and found the tour very insightful. I particularly enjoyed the mushroom soup , beer/wine and marinated cheese. Also have an email with lots of recommendations for other places/drinks to try.
Our tour guide Sony was great. He is a local, and spoke very good English. We visited 5 locations and tasted many traditional dishes. Sony explained how these relate to everyday Czech customs and meals. I would recommend Sony and the tour to others
It was freezing cold & snowing but Karolina warmed us with her stories and great authentic Czech food! This is the perfect tour for visitors unfamiliar with Czech cuisine... you get a little taste everything PLUS some interesting little stops & photo ops along the way! By the way, my teenaged nephews.. who are picky eaters.. loved it!
We have done the Secret food tour all over the world, in many countries, with several guides. This is an absolutely fantastic tour and always gives you such a solid footing to understand more about the culture, cuisine, and people of the country and area you are in. Soner (Sonny) was an incredible guide and this is one of the best of the tours that we have done with the company. 5 stars always. Sonny gets 5+. Thank you for what you do and we hope to do another tour soon!
Excellent tour, Sonny was fantastic, engaging and made sure everyone on the tour was catered for. The places we visited were first class and the cuisine was incredible. After the tour we received recipes from Sonny so we could attempt to recreate some of the incredible things we'd eaten. Thank you so much Sonny!!
What a great tour! We highly recommend Secret Food Tours! From the moment our guide greeted us, it felt like we were being welcomed into the city by a local friend who knew every hidden gem. Each stop was thoughtfully chosen, offering authentic flavors, rich history, and dishes I never would have discovered on my own. The storytelling was just as incredible as the food—our guide blended culture, history, and fun facts in a way that made every bite even more memorable. Thanks you Sonny!!
A fantastic way to spend a few hours! The food was amazing- a good variety- and the wine was excellent. Learned about the culture and food traditions, this is a do not miss tour. Jane S
Sonny introduced us to new food, all of it delicious, in places we would not have thought to try. He shared some history and stories of every-day Czech food and customs. Very educational and entertaining.
Excellent food, great sampling of Czech cuisine at the local joints, along with a lot of history and background. Really liked the pace, getting to sit in various places and enjoy the atmosphere as well as the food & drink. Soner was very engaging and knowledgeable, made the tour very enjoyable and memorable. Recommended!
We had the best experience! Our guide, Soner-Sonny, was wonderful! He showed us the great places regulars go. All the food and drink was delicious. We learned about history of the country and its food. We would highly recommend!
This was our second Secret Food tour and we really enjoyed it. Our local guide Soner was very knowledgeable of the area and food in Prague. We were able to taste several different foods we may not have tried on our own - pickled cheese & pickled sausage, both surprisingly good! Highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Thanks to our tour guide Vicky we got to eat and drink our way through Prague like a local. I sincerely enjoyed every moment and cannot recommend the experience enough. Thank you Vicky for making our trip so special and tasty.
This is the first food tour for all of us and it was so much fun! The group was perfect size (small) and we visited several places. Karolina is an awesome guide - she took great care of us. We never felt rushed. I'm a picky eater but the food that Karolina had picked out for us was just amazing! I would HIGHLY recommend going on this tour when in Prague and be sure to ask for Karolina!
My friend and I spent our first full day in Prague on this food tour, which turned out to be a good plan. Our hotel was very close to the tour meeting point and the tour focused on the neighborhood (Mala Strana), which was great for us as it gave us an opportunity to really dig into the area where we were based. The food was delicious - and very filling!-and our guide, Karolina, was wonderful. As expected, she was knowledgeable about the food and the area, but she also had a really good sense of humor. In addition to taking us to some fabulous restaurants, she made sure we saw some interesting sights we may not have seen on our own, such as the Lennon wall. As well, she did a good job of describing the food we enjoyed and interesting tidbits about it (such as the dumpling varieties). Would absolutely do this again.
We very highly recommend this food tour, and Soner was fantastic. We had a great time We have done a few food tours now - they are a great way to learn about the food, the city and the culture of where we are visiting. This one in Prague was one of the best we’ve had. The city is beautiful (we were also lucky with great weather), and the tour took us to some lovely places to see as well as some great and atmospheric places to eat. The food was great, and very generous, and the drinks provided too were really nice and a flavour of Prague! Soner our guide was super - both friendly and professional. He looked after us, knew lots of information, but also had a great way to bring the group together and make us all friends by the end. Overall, 100% the best way to see and learn a new place
We did this tour with Sonny. We thoroughly enjoyed. He made it fun and interesting. We would highly recommend this tour if you are a foodie
Valuable insight into locale cuisine & culture. Our guide Karolina was excellent, and produced lots of helpful tips for more eateries & establishments to further enhance the remainder of our stay in Prague.
