This day was personalized directly with Prague City Tours. We sent an outline developed on Microsoft Copilot for a Day, just my wife and I, and we given the recommendation for Prague City Tours and they did the rest. Made one payment via a link they sent, and our perfect Prague Tour day was set. The guide, Mark, is a US Expatriate and a local history buff. Every detail was just as we hoped for, up to and including lunch at a local Czech restaurant. We have subsequently planned rail trips the next 2 days to Dresden and Kvorklat; also arranged similarly with Prague City Tours. Highly recommend.

Nikola was a master at describing the beautiful city of Prague. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised by her perfect English skills and her knowledge of the art and history of Prague. We’ve waited a long time to see the city of his ancestors and Nikola made it just a perfect day!
Kuba was FANTASTIC! He was extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. Well worth the money and time spent! Thank you Kuba!
If you are planning a trip to Prague, booking a private tour with Will (Guillaume Vergne) is an absolute must! We spent a fantastic day exploring the city highlights with him, and it was easily one of the best parts of our trip. Will’s knowledge of Prague’s deep history and rich culture is truly impressive. He brings the stories of the city to life with such passion, clarity, and engaging detail that you stay hooked the entire time. Beyond the iconic sights every visitor comes to see, what made this tour extra special was Will taking the time to show us several hidden gems tucked away off the beaten tourist paths—spots we never would have discovered on our own. He was incredibly courteous, tailored the pace perfectly to our group, and answered every single question we had with ease and genuine warmth. If you want a personal, highly educational, and unforgettable experience in Prague, do not hesitate to book with Will!
Excellent guide and experience.
Our tour private of Prague with Jirka was fantastic! I highly recommend taking this tour.
Excellent tour and Misa is extremely knowledgeable. Do not miss this tour, it’s a must do on any itinerary!! Thank you from Canada. Wayne/Larry
Fantastic guide and the history background really gave us the understanding of Prague and Czech history. No questioned was unanswered. Loved the coffee shop and Lunch by the castle was great! Next time I'm in Prague, I'm calling for Jirka. Thanks again!
We had a great introduction to Prague with Nikola M. She accommodated our last minute request to see Strahov library & monastery as well overseeing our general introduction to Prague. We covered the events of Operation Anthropoid including a visit to the crypt of the Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral & the memorial to the assassination. We also made our way across the iconic Charles Bridge and managed to watch the oldest legendary Astronomical Clock. We tried a selection of Czech baked goods as well as enjoying the famous chimney cake in the old town. Nikola took amazing photos on our tour from all the best vantages & viewpoints. Our driver Norbert was also excellent & engaging, getting us safely around Prague. We have a few more tours booked with the company which we are looking forward to on our trip.
My family (husband and two teen boys) have taken a lot of food tours over the years and this definitely ranks at the top. Nikola was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who grew up in the area. She took us to some unique places to taste gingerbread, drink beer and Czech spirits at a floating brewery, eat typical holiday foods at a buzzing-with-locals restaurant, and top it off with amazing dessert and coffee. Beyond the great food, we learned so much about Czech history including her own experience living through the fall of Communism, and she provided great tips for the rest of our trip so we never ate a bad meal! Bonus -- she took the best family photo of our whole trip with a gorgeous Prague skyline at sunset ;)
Mark was an excellent guide, and very accommodating to our baby! We toured the palace and Mark helped carry our stroller down stairs and showed us an amazing art gallery. Would highly recommend the tour.
Mark was great! Very personable and knowledgeable!
We had a great time on walking city tour of Prague with Mark. He had such an in-depth knowledge of the Czech history and we learned so much on our tour. He took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch that we revisited for dinner. Mark was a ton of fun, extremely personable and was able to answer all our questions. We highly recommend this tour and Mark as a guide.
An unforgettable day in Prague with Jan We set Jan a tough brief: show us the best of Prague in a single day, cover the history properly, and keep it genuinely engaging for four kids aged 8–14. After seven weeks in Europe and dozens of excellent guides, Jan truly stands out as exceptional. Jan thoughtfully customised the tour to suit our family and made it fun, meaningful, and accessible for everyone. He is a natural storyteller with incredible energy and warmth — I suspect the most open and welcoming person in Czechia and one of the best guides in Europe . He checked in regularly, adjusted the pace as needed, and kept the kids engaged with questions, challenges, and little rewards when they connected the dots. It felt less like a formal tour and more like spending the day with a wise, kind family friend who happens to have a teaching background and knows everything about Prague. Jan showed remarkable patience and insight in responding to children’s questions, balanced depth with humour, and made sure no one was left behind. He was also generous with practical help — offering to take family photos, finding great viewpoints, tailoring the route as we went, and helping us plan the rest of our stay. His food recommendations (and what to order!) were spot on. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was Jan sharing his own family’s experiences growing up during Soviet times. He did this with sensitivity and honesty, and it deeply resonated with both us and our kids. Prague City Adventures were also excellent — communication was fast and clear, and they were incredibly understanding and flexible when a flight delay forced a last-minute date change. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for, and we couldn’t recommend Jan and Prague City Adventures more highly. A truly memorable day in a beautiful city.
A very enjoyable day indeed with our welcoming and knowledgeable guide Mark. Our tour encompassed the sights of the old town, Jewish quarter, lesser town and Hrad and also included a tram ride and lovely lunch. He dealt with the cold, crowds and us in jovial fashion, always having an answer to our questions. From Wenceslas to the Hapsburgs to the fall of communism he certainly knew his stuff, terrific guide who I would certainly recommend.
Mark was awesome and he gave an exceptional tour of the city. He is very knowledgeable about everything so he can make it as in-depth as you’d like. Highly recommend for those wanting a highlight of the city
Highly recommended to try “Prague City Tour: Best Sights & Hidden Gen”. As first time visitors to the city, we had a wonderful experience, especially with assistance of our amazing tour guide “Nikola Mistafa”. She was very friendly & always push for extra-mile.
Jirka was our guide and he was absolutely incredible! It was our first day in the city and he showed us everything. We definitely recommend the 5 hour tour as we were not rushed and had plenty of time for questions, conversation, and pictures. Jirka took us to a great spot to eat lunch and we all had classic Czech food! Again, could not recommend this tour enough!!
My husband & I felt that our private tour of the Highlights of Prague made our 1st visit to Prague that much more meaningful. Our tour guide, Nicola, was fantastic! Not only did she do an amazing job of educating us on the history of this beautiful city, she also brought the city “to life” by sharing personal stories of spending her life in this beautiful country. She treated us to a delicious lunch & made sure to share recommendations for other good restaurants & places in the city to visit on our own. We feel so lucky to have shared time with Nicola. Feel like we have made a new friend. Melinda & Jim
Mark met us promptly at our hotel and was very easy-going and kind from the get-go. Our tour felt well-paced and not rushed at all, and it was the perfect amount of time to get up know Prague without getting too bogged down in ancient history. Mark is obviously a highly intelligent guy with good taste and a keen eye for finding the humor in history and everyday life. Highly recommend.
Mark is such knowledgeable, enjoyable company that the tour flew by and I was disappointed when it was over. He is an absolute pro at what he does. Thank you!
We wanted to take a tour that would give us a comprehensive overview of the city without being in a tourist glob and this tour delivered. It was just the two of us on the tour and we actually ended up with two tour guides! (One was training). Prepare to walk A LOT as this was a long tour. We did get to see all the highlights and enjoyed our meal. Wrapped it all up with a leisurely boat ride. A pleasant way to end the day after all the walking. You’ll get a lot of good tips and historry along the way. Hat tip to Nikola and Jacob (our guides)
Mark did a fantastic job of blending history and storytelling whilst separating fact from fiction. Easygoing and comfortable foot tour. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful tour with Mark in Prague, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we met him, Mark’s warmth, professionalism, and passion for the city were apparent. At first Mark asked us if we wanted more history or less history so he could tailor the tour to our interests. We never felt rushed, and we learned so much without it ever feeling like a lecture. Plus, he gave us awesome tips for places to eat and explore after the tour. Mark was full of so much information. Highly recommended!
I enjoyed the tour a lot ! Not only the tour was informative, but it was also very fun ! Our guide Misha was the BEST ! I highly recommend this tour
My kids and I enjoyed the Prague city tour with Mark. He was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide. We walked all over Prague and saw so many historic sites. Mark was very good about explaining the history and also followed up with an email including recommendations for the rest of our stay in Prague. I would highly recommend everyone do this tour on your first day in the city.
George was an excellent guide! He was so knowledgeable about Prague and all the history. He also told us such great stories about his growing up while it was a communist country and his experiences. We could have seen the sights on our own, but we never would have gotten all the inside stories and extra details that truly made our trip to Prague amazing! So glad we took this tour! Thanks George!!
This was an amazing tour of the Prague Castle. Our guide, Mark, met us at our Airbnb and took us to the castle. He catered our tour just for us. We never felted rushed and he was so gracious to make sure we didn’t need any breaks. I would highly recommend this tour!
Not having visited Prague before, we wanted an overview of the city by taking a relaxed, private walking tour. This was the perfect tour to do that! Mark was a fun and knowledgeable guide who led us through the city to see the major historical sights while filling us in on the rich history and culture of Prague. He made sure we were comfortable and kept the conversation flowing. We had a spectacular time and highly recommend!
Our recent, first visit, to Prague… (after an initial day of wandering) we were fortunate enough to have sourced Prague City Adventures for a day walking tour with our knowledgeable and amiable guide George. His local and historical knowledge was offered in a generous and patient manner, as we had many questions and a desire to dig deeper into many aspects of Pragues rich history. Being a local he had a deep understanding of what makes Prague tick, from a native perspective… it made our experience well rounded and very entertaining. It really was like a new friend guiding us through this wonderful city. The day flew by, we covered a lot of ground, but we were so happy and fulfilled with our unique journey with our friend George.
Our guide Jirka was fabulous! He was kind, very knowledgeable, helpful and made the tour fun. It felt like we spent the day with a new friend. Though he had a plan for the day, he was flexible and accommodating to anything we wanted to see or discuss. Highly recommend!!!
Absolutely the best tour! Pavla was our guides and amazing! So knowledgeable and the best way to explore and learn about Prague and all it's history!!
Our guide, George, was one of the best we've ever hired. We know all guides have to be certified, but George went beyond his expertise to help us understand what was important and little known. My wife and I strongly recommend anyone going to Prague to ask for George.
Mark gave an excellent private tour for us at the Prague Castle. Very knowledgeable about the history and location! We definitely scored a win with Mark as our tour guide!
Wonderful tour! Genuine, enthusiastic tour guide (Mark). Showed depth of knowledge in culture and history. Would recommend and book again in future.
George was absolutely awesome! Very knowledgeable and went above and beyond during our time with him!! Very highly recommended doing a tour with him!
Our tour of Prague with Mark was absolutely fantastic! His incredible knowledge about the city’s history, culture, and hidden gems, made the experience both informative and enjoyable. His passion for Prague was evident in every story he shared. I highly recommend Mark for anyone looking to discover the beauty of Prague in a fun and memorable way!
We had a private 5 hour tour of Prague with Michaela and it was wonderful!! Michaela is an excellent guide, all of her recommendations were outstanding, and she brought Prague alive for us. Our tour also included a traditional Czech lunch at one of her favorite restaurants and that was great too! We strongly recommend her and her company for tours in Prague.
We were the only ones on the tour so it turned into a PRIVATE tour with George. He was wonderful. It is obvious he is passionate about history and the beautiful city of Prague! Thank you so much to George and Prague City Adventures for an unforgettable day in an extraordinary city! I highly recommend.
Our guide, Jiri Fricek, was absolutely great. He was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He had lived in the U.S. so his English was excellent and very easy to understand. We walked many miles (kilometers) , saw the important sites in the city, had a nice tram ridge, and enjoyed a delicious lunch with beer. I heartily recommend Jiri (George) for a tour of Prague.
The tour more than made up for our day after slogging through our delayed flight to Prague. There was great food and beer near the castle, and our guide was very fun and accommodating all throughout. He potched recommendations for more places we could see even after the official tour.
Mark is an absolutely FANTASTIC tour guide. We had a wonderful time learning about Prague, seeing many sights and enjoying flexibility to pop in and out of places. Absolutely recommended!
Mark was a great guide. Knowledgeable and flexible. He knew the history culture of the city and conveyed it in very relatable terms.
We had a great Prague City tour with Mark from Prague City Adventures. Mark was a wealth of knowledge about Prague after living here for 9 years (originally from the US so no language issues!). Besides giving us an extensive tour, when we mentioned we like to collect street art from the places we travel to he directed us to a friend of his and we found the perfect piece for us. Well done Mark!! And a special shout out to Barbora and the Prague City Adventures team for great communications and making booking this tour seamless and easy.
We did the Prague Castle Tour with Mark and really enjoyed the tour! Mark was very knowledgable and we learned a ton. Prior to this, we didn't know much about the early history of Prague. Thanks so much Mark!
We had a great time on our tour. Our guide Jiri was one of the happiest most pleasant guides we've ever had. Jiri was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to tour with. Lunch was great and all his recommendations were awesome.
Great tour! Great tour guide! Super knowledgeable about everything! Highly recommend Mark as the tour guide. So glad we did this tour.
Fantastic trip with Johanka!!!! I cannot recommend more for a private tour. The pace was perfect and the lunch included was great - 16th century restaurant. I took my parents to Prague and took this 5 - hour tour - they loved it
Would highly recommend the 5 hour city tour especially with Michaela (Michelle). She was a passionate Czech who through story telling shared her knowledge of the history of the city with us. She was very accommodating to all requests made during the tour (taking photos, toilet breaks, best ice cream locations) and knew where to go to stay out of the crowds (back streets) on a hot day. She was lovely and respectful and kept the information and sites appealing to our teenagers. The meal was delicious and in a lovely location. The 5 hours went too fast. If you want to get to see and understand the history of Prague this is the best way of achieving that. Thank you Michaela.
Mark was outstanding. So knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to some places that only locals know about. We enjoyed every minute of the tour. Thanks so much for an amazing day
