Pravcicka Gate & Bastei Bridge Winter National Park Tour From Prague

This trip left a very deep impression on me. Our tour guide, Timmy, was extremely enthusiastic and warm as he introduced the scenery along the way, always with a smile on his face. We all thoroughly enjoyed this trip. If given the chance, we would definitely join their tour group again.

Martin did an incredible job on this tour! We were picked up promptly at our hotel and the drive to the Pravcicka Gate felt short since Martin drove us by the beautiful Elba River and he told us so much about the Czech Republic's history. Probably learned as much about the country's history and culture from him as we did on both of our two walking tours this weekend combined. On the trails, Martin kept up a good pace and kept the group together, and brought us to two of the most beautiful and unique places in the area, the Pravcicka Gate and Bastei Bridge. We had time to take lots of photos at both sites and enjoy the gorgeous views. Also did some birdwatching and learned more about the animals in the area from Martin. Everything was taken care of ahead of time, and the tour even included a great lunch between stops. Overall, a great experience I would definitely recommend!

I can't recommend this tour enough! We had an excellent day out with fellow travellers and our tour guide, Lenka, who was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable that she made it the perfect day. We were very lucky to have sunshine and snow on the ground, which was magical, as if we had arrived in Narnia itself! The lunch was also excellent, as were the mulled wine/tea and snacks provided. It was also so convenient to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel. We loved it and highly recommend it!

We booked this tour through Viator. Our guide, Martin was absolutely amazing! It was one of the best adventures we’ve been on. Northern Hikes is the best! Wish I could give them more stars. We were picked up promptly at our hotel, given a lovely snack bag, driven to the sites, and provided plenty of time to take pics and enjoy the stunning views! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this tour! We went in February and was hoping for a magical snow experience. Unfortunately there was very little snow but we still had a totally amazing and unforgettable time. Our guide Marek was brilliant, very knowledgable, extremely friendly and guided us every step of the way. The lunch we had was delicious and the fact that we were able to choose for ourselves from the menu means there really is an option to suit everyone. My wife and myself would 110% recommend northern hikes and if we visit the beautiful city of Prague again we will definitely be booking another tour. Northern Hikes are the best of the best and are fully worthy of that reward title from trip advisor.

Absolutely loved the tour! The guide Michal picked us up from the hotel and came PREPARED - with the snack packs, anti ice gear, spare hats and mulled wine! The views and experiences were stunning, we were moving at a comfortable pace, definitely worth it for the money!

Honestly I god a lot more out of this trip than I thought I would. Guide was interesting and interested. Very friendly people. Happened to have perfect winter weather and an overall great experience. The included meal was also delicious and filling. And the bonus breakfast bag and hot tea and mulled wine were a great touch.

Great guide (Tomas) and wonderful experience. Perfect for our group. The provider does those extra things which separate excellent from ok eg: mulled wine and fresh baked goods for snacks. Meal was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more.

Today’s hike was a truly magical experience, perfectly blending adventure with festive cheer. Our guide, Michael, was fantastic—he kept us moving at a comfortable pace that never felt rushed, ensuring we reached the Bastei Bridge at the exact moment to catch a breathtaking sunset. Topping off the stunning views with warm mulled wine and Christmas cookies made for an unforgettable day.

Marek the guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Small group made being a solo traveller that little bit easier. Route and pace were so easy to follow but still plenty of time for pictures. Couldn’t recommend this enough. Atmosphere all day was really high spirits and luckily we got some good weather!

This was arguably one of the best tours of our entire trip - and we did about eight tours. It is a long day, but a great day. Two hikes - first one moderate difficulty (at least in winter) and the second was light - may not even consider it a hike. We went to two national parks - one totally in Czechia, the other across the border in Germany. In betweem we had a fantastic lunch at a local spot in the sandstone mountains. Marek was our guide and he was fantastic - making sure everyone was okay, providing spikes for boots if needed, and being a great photographer! Highly recommend!

I really liked this trip. I recommend. I would go again during summer season, to try another route. Giving that was during the winter months, the hike wasn’t difficult, the stops were enough, the food was nice. We also had a pleasant guide lady, so as the rest of the group participants.

I visited Prague for a business trip, but wanted to do some exploring while I was here. So glad that I booked this hike. They paired me with another girl who was coming solo and we had a great time. Marek was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable. Not just about the history of the area, but also precisely where to go for the best pictures. We had plenty of time to wander around and explore whatever we wanted to see, but he also made sure that we got to the most Instagram worthy shots and he was a great photographer and took as many pictures of us as we wanted. Lunch was amazing. Honestly, the best meal that I ate the whole time I was in Prague. Northern Hikes was great from start to finish, they were very communicative and messaged me on WhatsApp with all the information I needed before the hike. The. throughout the hike Merek was great about giving us details on what would come ahead, especially where the next bathroom was, how long the next drive would be, etc. I strongly recommend booking with Northern Hikes.

It's a great activity to enjoy outside the city if you have extra time and like outdoor activities. The locations are beautiful, and Michal was charming and amazing!

Tour of northern parks of the Czeck Republic, moderate intensity hikes, the stunning views are definitely worth the effort. Petr was very kind to us and knowledgeable of every aspect of the tour, he even gave a little gift for my girlfriend to celebrate the international women day. Lunch was very good and he suggested real czeck dishes for us to try. Definitely worth it if you have an extra day and want to see the country outside Prague (you need your document since one park is located in south Germany and there could be border patrols). consigliato!

The company provided regular and detailed updates regarding the time of the trip, the gear needed, and the weather. The guide, Petr, was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and a genuine pleasure to be around. The hikes were beautiful, and not very strenuous (I'd say low-end of 'moderate' hiking). Cannot recommend this trip enough!

I had a fantastic day out with Tomas and a fun group of new friends! Everything was smooth and easy, from the pickup at my hotel, to each activity and lunch. Tomas made sure we were all taken care of and knew the gameplan as we went. Visiting these sites in the winter was beautiful and uncrowded and we could take out time at each spot. We chose this course for my dad, who loves hiking and nature, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for our family of four! We fell completely in love with the charm of the winter mountains and were left speechless by the incredible beauty of nature. Since it was winter, there was snow, but they provided everything we needed, from crampons to trekking poles. They also made sure we knew where to find restrooms along the way, and the lunch provided was absolutely amazing! Our guide was Petr, and you could really tell he loves nature and mountains—it made his explanations and guidance so much more special. Marek was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of the history of the monuments, the national parks, and the Czech Republic was truly amazing to hear. He was also very ready for any weather, including the ice, helping us put spikes on our sneakers and making sure we crossed safely at every point. The tour itself is done very well, from seamless pick-up in a nice large vehicle to hiking to a delicious lunch and finally back home eventually. It was truly the experience of a lifetime and Marek made it excellent! I would highly recommend this tour to families, couples, and solo travelers who love nature. The hikes are very doable and Marek had tons of patience with us. We would do another tour from this company again. Thank you, Marek!

From the moment I contacted Northern Hiles they were fantastic. I have a disability with some small limitations and when I explained my situation they took the time to understand and advise. They could not have been more accomodating through the whole booking process….Zuzana you are a star. Our guide for the day was Marek, awesome guy, very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He was clearly briefed on my disability and was very accomodating without making me feel self-conscious. As for the hike….wow…. We had light to moderate snow all day which made it even more magical. The walk up to the sandstone arch is uphill but very manageable for anyone with hiking or bushwalking experience and a moderate fitness level. We then visited Bastei bridge which is spectacular. We started the day with a snack pack of fruit and water which was nice but the lunch between the two destinations was wonderful. Both locations are well worth the effort and Northern Hikes made the experience so awesome I can’t recommend them highly enough!!

We had a great trip today! The coordination for pick up was easy. The weather was a little cold but the views made up for it. It was a great way to get away from the crowds and see another side of the Czech Republic
