Prague: Private Old Town Walking Tour With Hotel Pickup

My husband and I had an awesome private walking tour with our guide Hanna. In 3 hours, she showed us key highlights of the old town, Jewish quarter and Wenceslas square. It was a great introduction to Prague and its history. Hanna had a great depth of knowledge and also made some solid recommendations for how we could spend our time in the next few days. Highly recommend doing this at the beginning of a Prague visit!

Memorable tour learning the true history of Prague and lots of hidden treasures. Also great avoiding crowded tourist streets, yet managing to see everything.

We had a really enjoyable private 2-hour walking tour with Jana today. She was full of interesting information about Prague and also took us to some quieter spots we’d never have found on our own, which was a relief with the Christmas crowds. We came away feeling like we’d learned a lot about the city without it ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. Our guide Fabian was knowledgeable and entertaining. We did a 3 hour private walking tour of the Lesser and Old town. The time flew by. We asked many questions and he patiently answered every one while giving us pertinent historical and cultural information I would suggest a full day tour to see everything.

Our tour with Jan was excellent! He took us to many locations around Prague, starting with a few notable sites near where we were staying and making it all the way up through Old Town to the Jewish Quarter. Jan clearly has a deep knowledge of the history and culture of Prague and Czechia and we learned so much as we walked around this beautiful city. We talked about a range of topics, including art, history, music, and religion, and Jan fielded our many questions with ease. Jan kept us engaged through the whole tour with his colorful storytelling, and he explained both famous and less well-known parts of the city.

It was my first trip to Prague. Then, I have chosen a solo guided walking tour of the old town. The guide, Dan, was very knowledgeable about the history of Prague and shared his knowledge while walking around the city. Not only the history, but also information about the ongoing urban development helped me to understand the changes. This stimulated me to come back again soon to see further changes in the city. It was so interesting to see the spots in the city telling the history of Prague and the Czech Republic. He also tailored the tour to my interests, observing a building of Charles University within the Old Town. The guide also suggested how to enjoy the city. So, after this short tour, I was able to enjoy my time in Prague by spending more time at specific places. In summary, the guided tour gave me a good orientation of the city, as well as the history of the city. This deepened my understanding about the city and enriched my stay in Prague. The hotels in Your Prague Hotel group offer a free of charge walking tour every Saturday & Sunday starting at 10am meeting at the Jewish monument which is close to Michelangelo Grand Hotel. We joined the Saturday tour, it was just the two of us and our guide was Dana who was a lovely lady and her knowledge was never ending. We saw all the main tourist sites. We had lunch in a medieval tavern, Krema U sedmi Svabu (Tavern of seven Swabians) and then continued our tour visiting Prague castle before getting the tram back. Would recommend the tour, we had a great day with Dana 😊

We had a fantastic tour with Dan. He was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic to be showing us around Prague and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together. My favourite part was seeing the baby jesus and understanding the outfits.

Andrea was amazing, unfortunately the weather was really bad for us so we didn’t want to do the e-bike tour and we were just going to abandon the trip altogether. We were offered a walking tour instead and I am so glad we did it. Andrea made it so personalised and comfortable and discussed lots about the Czech history. She gave us tips on restaurants and bars, museums and places to visit on our other days which was so great. She is a total asset to the business and a joy to spend time with.

Our guide, Hannah, was absolutely awesome! She spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. We are a couple in our 50’s traveling with our 22 year old son. Hannah went just the right speed for us. It was a hot day and she was always considerate about finding shade to stand in while she explained what we were seeing. My only suggestion would be half way through to ask if we would like to stop for a few minutes and get a soda or water. We didn’t think to bring one and also weren’t proactive in asking- so our fault. We completely enjoyed the private tour and getting to know Hannah! Thank you so much for your insight and information! We love Prague even more now! We will definitely be back!
