Itinerary
Once part of the royal coronation route, this tower now stands as one of the few remaining reminders of the medieval defensive walls that once surrounded Prague's Old Town and protected the city from its enemies. We'll begin our exploration of Prague's Old Town here, pointing out fascinating details that most visitors would otherwise overlook.
Many Czechs consider this the most beautiful building in Prague. It's easy to see why—let us show you how the finest architects, sculptors, and painters of pre–World War I Bohemia combined their talents to create this Art Nouveau masterpiece.
Pablo Picasso made Cubism famous through painting—Czechs brought it to life in architecture. Discover Prague's most iconic Cubist building and learn how the world's first Cubist building came to be built right here in Prague.
Charles University has been at the heart of education and intellectual life for more than 600 years. During our tour, you'll learn about its founder, the remarkable figures who studied and taught here, and even pick up a few basic Czech phrases to help you make the most of your time in Prague.
Mozart premiered his Don Giovanni here. Let us share some interesting stories about Mozart's short but rather wild stay in Prague.
The iconic gothic sight of the Old Town Square, the Tyn church sparks a lot of questions: who built it, how do people enter it, and why its towers look so different. Do not worry, we are going to answer all of them!
Visit Prague's most iconic square, learn about its diverse architectural styles, and discover why Prague's historic center was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
Visiting Prague without seeing one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world is a crime nobody can afford to commit! You will not only learn about the creation and the mechanism of the clock, but will also view the famous clock show as a part of our tour.
No other monument in the city illustrates Prague's complex religious history quite so well. We'll tell you why it was erected, why it was destroyed only to be erected again, and how people once used it to set the time on their pocket watches.
Learn the story of Prague's most famous university professor and preacher, who changed the course of European Christian history.
Prague's most famous writer has a statue that marks the meeting point of two worlds: Jewish and Christian. We'll tell you which of his works the statue refers to and why people touch its shoes—even though they shouldn't.

Prague meets Paris right in the Jewish Quarter. We'll tell you why, and reveal the grand plan that was once envisioned for the former Jewish ghetto.

Walk past Prague's High Synagogue
Thousands are buried in this tiny plot of land—a consequence of the centuries of restrictions and oppression endured by Prague's Jewish community. Discover Prague's most fascinating cemetery, said to have inspired Umberto Eco's novel The Prague Cemetery.
Why does the clock on Prague's Jewish Town Hall run backwards? We'll explain the story behind its famous Hebrew clock and how the Jewish community once governed itself from this very building.
Take a photo of the Art Nouveau residence of Prague's Lord Mayor.
One of Europe's largest former Jesuit colleges hides centuries of knowledge behind its Baroque walls. Discover the story of the Klementinum and why Dan Brown chose it as one of the key locations in his novel The Secret of Secrets.

Great work Viktor! You have an extremely deep understanding of Prague history. Thank you for a very personalised tour. Viktor’s delivery and organisation is outstanding! Well done Chap!
Jan our tour guide was excellent, a great mix of knowledgeable history of Prague but also intertwined with humour and interesting fun facts. Prague was incredibly busy but Jan made sure we were placed at the best locations for beautiful ohotos and especially at the clock when chiming. We paid a small fee to book and then paid Jan for his time and expertise , this could be done is cash or card. A must do tour of Prague -especially with Jan as your guide
The tour guy Jan, his English is great, introduced Prague history.... but there are too many people for one group. He was a little hurry later on.
Guide Dita was amazing, and shared lot of interesting information about the city, and on each key spots.

Kuba, our guide, was very pleasant, funny and knowledgeable! It was my first time in Prague and even though I had already been to the spots , learning the story while revisiting them made a huge difference! I recommend it.
A really interesting and enjoyable tour. James provided just the right mix of fact and entertainment.
Dita our guide was amazing! She is so knowledgeable, funny, and pleasant. We squeezed a lot in to the 2.5 hours, including some lovely local anecdotes and tips on language and food. We finished up with a sing song at the lennon wall with Dita playing her mandolin. Well done!!! Highly recommend.
Book this tour early in your Prague visit! There were some great tips about local attractions, and the introduction to the city made it much easier to get around for the remainder of our stay.
I booked this tour via Tripadvisor operated by Real Prague Guides (~$21 each for 6 people). Imagine my surprise when we arrived at the meeting spot, only to find a guide from 100 Spires City Tours and everyone else was on a FREE walking tour. Our guide Katerina was excellent. At the end of the tour, everyone else was asked to voluntarily/optionally pay what the tour was worth. I spent most of the tour feeling angry, and like I was scammed. I only hope that a large portion of the $126 ended up with the guide or at least with 100 Spires City Tours.
James was a super good guide. Great stories and took the group nicely. 10/10
This was a really comprehensive tour of old Prague. The guide -Hana- was really knowledgeable and informative and kept everyone together on a busy day. Totally recommend as a great first morning in Prague

An excellent introduction to Prague by a very knowledgeable and interesting guide. Well worth the time.
Jan was an extremely inspiring and energetic guide. I have been on many tours and he is definitely one of the best.
Great morning. Glad we started early so that later you can go back and explore more. First, make sure wear comfortable walking shoes. No doubt the stone walkways can be havoc on you legs and feet. Now let's get down to the trip. Great history and stories. The views were beautiful and don't forget to snap some photos. The stop at the clock was wonderful. Continued thru old Jewish district. Very informative. Cross the bridge and Lennon wall. Our guide spoke clear English. Very responsive towards questions. So much to see no doubt 2 hours is not enough. We did go back and retrace our steps to view a few missed areas. Thumbs 👍 up.
Probably the best walking tour I have been on in Prague. Informative, right walking pace for all, fun.

This was a great tour of the old town of Prague. Hana was an amazing tour guide. Loved her perspective.
We arrived late but Hana took us under her wing and made us feel so welcome, her knowledge was impressive, her sense of humour was the best and really livened up the tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jakub. Booked it on our first day and it provided an excellent overview of the history of Prague as well as many great tips for the rest of our visit. Jakub was proud to show off his city and really knew his stuff! Highly recommend and a great value!
This was an amazing tour and I learned so much from it about the area. It is always better when the tour guides give their personal opinions on some locations rather than quote from script. My guide was great!
Jay was great! Enjoyed his story telling throughout the tour. There were other solo travelers and it was fun to meet everyone.
Jan was a fantastic tour guide. The walking tour was almost 3 hours long and we learned so much about the history of Prague. In addition, he provided us with great tidbits on places to go and things to see during our time in the city. We have done many walking tours during our travels, and I have to say that this was the best ever!
Fantastic guided tour with the most important sights of Prague. With a lot of extra tips for the rest of the stay. Specially to mention our guide Lucie that has an extremely good competence about the city and the history that really makes the trip.
Our guide Jay was very knowledgeable and the tour had just enough information about Prague, the history and all the main sites. The pace was just right. We returned to take better photos early morning the day after without the crowds.
Excellent big picture tour of the Old Town, Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge. Our guide, Kuba, spoke excellent English and provided us with great information and anecdotes. A fine experience.
